Yeah u wu definitely better than the projectile going all the way through though xD and I haven't tested them against actual weapon projectiles yet but I'm guessing they would be either better or worse than whatever armor block we usually use since then the only variable that matters is the block HP x3
Those might work better against the impacts yeah x3 ♥ but might create more gaps that impacts from different angles can get in from u wu but I guess if we use more drills then we can compensate for the coverage xD so I guess it is possible
So if you spaced this with stand off blocks you may have slat type armour a very good defense vs non weapon attacks, How it handles warheads or straight weapons fire is now the question
Yeah c= I'm guessing if we're really that worried about kinetic missile hits then this can be a good option x3 against normal weapons or explosive damages it'll be just like any other block I think u wu where the block HP is the most important metric, but the HP would be spread around a 3 block area so it might be a bit worse than most normal armor solutions
Yeah c= I heard it's pretty effective with a welder x3 might not be a good solution for some reasons though, like if it's destroyed then that's a big chunk of armor disappearing
Wow, this is drill armor is really strong for 1 the price of 1 PCU. Looks quite ugly though. But if you encase it in armor, it would look better. But would make it harder to weld then. How does this fare against artillery and other shells though?
Ye it's definitely not that good for most normative aesthetics xD but good point x3 maybe we can use them around important internal parts of a ship like engineering or around a jump drive to make them more resilient to possible kinetic missile hit x3 Against normal weapon projectiles I think they'll just be like any other block where it's the HP that matters u wu might not be that good though since their HP is spread around a 3 block area
xD I guess I was too focused to make sure the drills hit the ground first, I still naturally scream if I think I'm gonna crash my ships or vehicles in most games u wu
The way those drills survive the damage that destroys what's behind them leads me to one conclusion only: spaced drill armor would be invincible.
Yeah that would be even better I think xD would require more drills though if we want to encase an area u wu
drill armor:*cough*
red large grid ship:*dies*
xD
I like SE phisics, all hail clang!
Ye xD ♥ I wonder how quirky the physics on Space Engineers 2 would be as well x3
Turns out when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object they just phase through each other.
That was cool but all i could think of was Capt Jack Sparrow shouting stop blowing holes in my ship!!
xD
A fair bit of phase through which is worrisome. How well do the different ship weapons work against a set up like this?
Yeah u wu definitely better than the projectile going all the way through though xD and I haven't tested them against actual weapon projectiles yet but I'm guessing they would be either better or worse than whatever armor block we usually use since then the only variable that matters is the block HP x3
What if you placed those drills further away from the ship
Those might work better against the impacts yeah x3 ♥ but might create more gaps that impacts from different angles can get in from u wu but I guess if we use more drills then we can compensate for the coverage xD so I guess it is possible
*kinda feasible u wu
If the armor was spaced out by one more block, would there have been damage? I think a second test is warranted.
Yeah I should have tested that as well u wu I might try it offscreen and tell fakshen the result x3

I heard that people use Refineries as armor too
Yeah c= I heard it's pretty effective with a welder x3 might not be a good solution for some reasons though, like if it's destroyed then that's a big chunk of armor disappearing
simply because it is light and pack quite lot of hp
I think on official server with 5 drills limit it would still weld the projection, but just not above functional if you already had 5 drills.
new meta lmao
Would be a hassle welding the drills up to exactly below functional if there's too many though xD

Drill vs Drill = Drill win
Not gonna question it lol
Drill is a magical block on SE xD
I miss the ship reviews...
I really should start doing those again u wu sorry I haven't been doing those for a while JHamby ♥
You didn't do the "AAAAaaaa" when crashing.
xD I guess I was too focused to make sure the drills hit the ground first, I still naturally scream if I think I'm gonna crash my ships or vehicles in most games u wu
Could legit plow into the planet below and hide 😂
I wonder if that can actually be possible if we have the right drill configuration to do that xD would be like a submarine hiding underwater then x3
@@LucaTheGuide ohhh the space engineers version of the nautilus
Use the rocks as projectiles with gravity generators 🤔
But what about against turret fire 😅
