    Chef Baba teaches her cooking imbecile son to make delicious Apricot Dumplings, or Knedle s Kajsija. This recipe can also be used to make Plum Dumplings or Knedle s Sljivama. This recipe has been handed down through generations in Yugoslavia.
    Ingredients:
    3 Large Russett Potatoes (or 6 Smaller potatoes)
    12 to 14 Apricots
    A Pinch of Salt
    Another Pinch of Salt
    2 Eggs
    2 Cups All Purpose Flour
    3 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil
    1 Handful Plain Bread Crumbs

    My mom used a ricer, it works good! My Oma made extra dough , flattens it and cuts noodles. So happy I happened to find your channel. Really made me miss them. But mostly I remembered my sister and I spending the day "helping"😃. Great memories! Thank you, Oma!!❤

    Just found this! I am from Slovenia living in the UK and am trying to recreate my grandma's recipes. Chef Baba reminds me of my grandma

      Slovenian here too but from Australia doing the same thing! Except my baba used apricot jam instead of actual apricots!

    Beautiful video so expertly done, good on you baba and Damir. Baba has excellent English but it is so good to hear Serbian being spoken, reminds me so much of times with my mum. I so like it that you are not adding sugar.

    Aaah yes! My baba made the small plum ones when I was younger, she taught me to make those and now you’ve taught me the apricot ones!

    These look delicious!! I've never seen fresh fruit used before, I normally have them with prunes, can't wait to try this recipe out.

    FOR PRUNE DUMPLIGS, YOU USE THE SMALLER ITALIEN PRUNE PLUMS, IN SEASON AND APRICOTS IN SEASON.

    Excellent I do them with 1/4 plumb and cinnamon sugar rolled in fried bread crumbs topped with cream or with icecream .
    the dough recipe I use is 1kg potato 300g flour 100g butter 1 egg

    Wow I've never had knedle with apricots only with plums. One of my favorite meals. Please do a show on making breskve.

    Bako pa ti si super genija upravo sam naisla na vas snimak jako mi se dopada a jos da baba prica samo nas jezik sve bih razumela :) veliki pozdrav za celu porodicu od nas :)) a da nesto pise na kraju snimka Sremska Mitrovica pa nije valjda daste iz mog rodnog kraja :)) pretplatila sam se na vas kanal moram da vas pratim divni ste 🙋

    The dish is wonderful but for petes sake let Baba get a word in. You interrupt and talk over her horribly. If I was Baba I'd tape your mouth.
