Most clip lights are using a comparator to check if the output voltage is equal to the rail voltage. Since the output meeting the rails IS clipping, those clip lights are actually more accurate than anything that would specifically measure 1% thd. They go off before you reach 1% thd because you clip before 1% thd. Thd is a result of clipping, but is not clipping in and of itself

I've been repairing amps as a hobby for about 4 years and have recently started doing a few Kicker amps. Their low power budget (yellow) stuff is..... fine. Their mid range and above (red and blue) are well built with quality parts. I'm seeing more MOSFETs in both the power supply and output section than what's being used by very popular brands for the same output power. There's a bit more to it than just comparing the number of parts but when a zx750.1 has a beefier power supply than a 1,000 watt amp it's not hard to know which will be more reliable.
That comment about the honda fit..... You would be surprised I have an MD8000 on a stock honda alternator you just need to make sure you have enough batteries and caps
All solid amps that not are direct " budget " should have a bassremote with volt/cliplight/temp, that would up the sale alot. Protect would be nice aswell but not the most important for me atleast.
Hey guys I have a question for y'all. I'm trying to decide what amp to go with to push 3 DC Audio level 4 12s. Which would you choose out of these only? 1.) Taramps Chipeo 9k 2.) Banda Viking 8k 3.) Banda Electra Bass 8k 4.) Banda Electra Bass 10k 5.)Taramps Bass 8k 6.) NVX X series 8k 7.) Soundigital Evo 4 8k Thanks if you participated! It's highly appreciated 👍
Interesting, good amp, however it is kind of expensive for what it is. The JP33 is a better option. I do like the fact that it can handle up to 17v though.
The only thing that can generate that kind of power is a bolt of lightning. The only problem is you never know when and where which car it will ever strike.
I would like to correct a mistake I made on the last video when I posted a comment. I said the amplifier didn't have any proprietary technology and I was wrong. I do believe competition mode is proprietary. That actually justifies some of the cost of this amp. I stand corrected.
I completely enjoy your videos, but most common Joe’s out there don’t have the equipment or power supply. Most of us just have our 12 V battery power in our cars to power up most amps. I guess if you want to go the extreme level you will have to pay to Play

I would love to see you test DD 5000 compared against the warhorse 3600.
Thanks for the suggestion
You know I always watch all your videos and I have never see you test. hi phonics Zeus 650 Watt generation x
That comment about the honda fit..... You would be surprised I have an MD8000 on a stock honda alternator you just need to make sure you have enough batteries and caps
Get a MBE box for it!!!
All solid amps that not are direct " budget " should have a bassremote with volt/cliplight/temp, that would up the sale alot.
Protect would be nice aswell but not the most important for me atleast.
So the exact same remote everybody else is using?
Lolol that was Mr Bassahaulic that made that comment.....it looked like it was measuring clipping to me🤷🏻♂️
@wal u should be getting some new d4s amps soon.
Thanks.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Did you say 5cu for one 15 thats one huge box
Hey guys I have a question for y'all. I'm trying to decide what amp to go with to push 3 DC Audio level 4 12s. Which would you choose out of these only?
1.) Taramps Chipeo 9k
2.) Banda Viking 8k
3.) Banda Electra Bass 8k
4.) Banda Electra Bass 10k
5.)Taramps Bass 8k
6.) NVX X series 8k
7.) Soundigital Evo 4 8k
Thanks if you participated! It's highly appreciated 👍
None of them. Good luck tho.
Interesting, good amp, however it is kind of expensive for what it is. The JP33 is a better option. I do like the fact that it can handle up to 17v though.
You get what you paid for
Can this kicker amp push two solox 15?
That Solo X sounded like a lawnmower!
The only thing that can generate that kind of power is a bolt of lightning. The only problem is you never know when and where which car it will ever strike.
10:42 these people are a square wave in the comment
Is this amp better than the rockfordfosgate t2500?
Personal preference thing for sure but the KICKER has newer technology and is smaller than the T2500. Both are amazing amps.
what about xs batteris on a 90 amp alt
Still overpriced, but a beast of an amp.Nice video, especially for Kicker fans!
If you happen to run into Dic Riculus can you ask him what year and model car that is behind him?
I'm gonna take a guess.....1958 VW ❓

I would like to correct a mistake I made on the last video when I posted a comment. I said the amplifier didn't have any proprietary technology and I was wrong. I do believe competition mode is proprietary. That actually justifies some of the cost of this amp. I stand corrected.
is it 32ah or 320ah? you said 32, but listed 320
320ah
I wish I could get my hands on a ZR1000
I completely enjoy your videos, but most common Joe’s out there don’t have the equipment or power supply. Most of us just have our 12 V battery power in our cars to power up most amps. I guess if you want to go the extreme level you will have to pay to
Play
Also why do you love kicker so much? The 25 hz subsonic that you CANT disable is why i don't like their amps.
When available
KICKER says by the end of June (this month)
Some people just love to hate and to be ignorant too...
5 cubic feet?? That's big!
But isn't anything under 40hz lost information? According to kicker.
I can always count on your channel for the maximum amount of cringy laughs possible, gotta have somethint to watch while pooping
The comment commentary... rofl 😂😂
