      yeap... hole saw... but FIRST you need to KNOW what part gets hotter: toroid or the sides? no point in cooling the luke-warm parts
      and for this you need to run it full bore, in the heat of a summer day, 40ºC minimum in the car/trunk, and its also good to have hi pwr resistors, or hi pwr 12 or 15 inchesrs

    Well... technically, it performed as advertised, and then some! A lot of their compatriots didn't even make the low bar of advertised power. I agree that longevity is still a question mark. But, it's pretty clear there was an engineer that knew what they were doing involved at some point. It would be fairly easy for a handy soldering hand to repair this, or sub out known brand name parts if one wanted to. Also, I would love for that clear acrylic cover to be the standard. Manufacturers should be proud of their design.

      It's Fahrenheit but I agree that long term that would be the first place to check if it fails. Easy fix too.

      @@courier11sec how easy to repair depends on how well the board holds up.

    • @courier11sec
      @courier11sec 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @hughbrackett343 sure but that's the same with any amp. Even if a person were to pick this up and give it a look for likely weak points to address like adding a bit of active cooling, maybe sine vibration mitigation and if the board is flimsy a bit of reinforcement it's a crazy value for the money. Seems like a great opportunity to get into learning repair and modification too.

    Truly surprising output for the price but it’s not destined for a long life. It needs a much larger mass of aluminum at its a/b class power level for passive cooling so without fans it will cook if used for long periods.

      Ikr! & all they had do was a cheap fan but wanted to keep pp at 100 for multi reasons.Just another max profit production (M.P.P.) -no care for how many amps blow up bc time they do, the "company "will be defunct so no customer service, or accountability! -Its the ONLY Chinese business model ! -"QUICK CASH GRAB"

      Some thick thermal pads or thermal putty underneath the board would help soak the heat and a small fan on the acrylic cover.

    I'm not sure it's still up on Temu, but there used to be a class A/B that made painfully outrageous claims about output. I believe it claimed something on the order of 15,000-20,000 watts for about $125. You should test that one.

    I got a offbrand class d 2k amplifier from Alibaba for 60$. I have it on 2 older ufo magnet fi q 12s at 1ohm and it’s putting out atleast 1000 watts if not more. It’s Definitely putting out more power than my audiocontrol 800.1 amplifier does. Which isn’t saying much but the Audiocontrol is a 400$ amp lol

      Idk how to go about it but I’d be willing to send it in to you to make a dyno test video lol if it blows no big loss it was only 60$
