This would explain why we have so little pokemon species diversity in Johto, and why some have moved to Kanto.
The wars in pokemon would also explain why the starter pokemon are likely endangered as being strong grass water and fire types would make them invaluable in a war scenario so there wild populations would have been greatly reduced if not destroyed by those seeking the upper hand.

The fan game Fire Red: Rocket Edition actually makes mention of this, positing there was a war between Kanto and Johto, and that Pokémon like the starters are (if I recall correctly) “Warfare Pokémon”

I'm personally writing a story about a small group (only a few people) called the Nymph Association that's trying to fight against the use of Pokemon Life Force by companies like Devon and Silph.
It's just horrible to me for the so called "beautiful world of Pokemon", and it annoys me that we can find out about this, but still be forced to use what these companies create in the games.
Each person in the Nymph Association has a personal story more or less linked to Pokemon Life Force and a deep reason that make them want to stop its use.

I haven't really thought about it yet, I still have a few details to figure out for episode 1and I thought that I would decide where to post it after that.
I could post it on Amino, my tablet is old, I'm stuck using the Amino site because it doesn't support the app anymore, and for some reason the site doesn't let me make posts with images anymore.
But since this is a story with just text, it's not a problem, except I'm thinking maybe I should upload it to a platform more people know about. Any platform you would recommand ?

I've been fleshing out some of the characters for years now (with alternative versions of them in other stories that have nothing to do with Pokemon).
I like to believe that Koga's clan was a major part of defending Kanto which is why he was one of the strongest gym leaders. Maybe the TM for toxic was invited due to the war.
More than likely. However, TMs didn't exist until much later. Likely breeding was a much larger factor to making strong pokemon back than.

It’s interesting and sad that these wars probably did take place, I can’t imagine say a charizard being shot to death, or infernape being torn apart by gyarados.
Well they would not be shooting down pokemon. More like using pokemon against pokemon. Also, the war would have probably been fought with swords

Imagine a charizard trying to burn down a sinnoh ship just to be hydro pumped out of the air by 3 underwater Empoleons that are providing escort. And the Charizard in the water frantically trying to keep its tail flame above water as it gets dragged under.
The only thing I could say is Kanto did have a war that wasn't part of the mega timeline, because in the originals red blue and yellow and even the remakes fire red and leaf green lieutenant surge mentioned that he fought in a war, not only that but suspiciously there's not very many adults in the Kanto region.
Lt. Surge fought in a war for Unova or Alola not Kanto. As far as the adult male point, that actually has unforunately been debunked several times.

On the Sinnoh fighting for landfall piece, theoretically Electrodes could be used as sea mines as well. Electric explosions in SUPER conductive salt water would be a BIG repellant to invading naval forces.

I know we shouldn´t look at spinoffs like Masters, but in that game there are multitude of Johto and Sinnoh characters that use mega evolution, Bugsy, Morty, Jasmine, Karen, & Cynthia. Even if you don´t look at Masters, I believe Cynthia uses a mega Garchomp and Lucario at the battle tree in the alola games. So even if it was banned back, I imagine the stance on mega evolution drastically changed in Johto and Sinnoh.
Masters has no connections to the main series games other then the characters, so what happens in the Master's universe has no effect on this one.
Unless gamefreak says its cannon to the core series, I'd disregard it.

I think about the Pokémon war being like the Great War with trenches being drugged, entire units of men being killed by artillery and machine guns, tanks being used for the first time, fighter and bomber planes being used for the first time and generals being incompetent and sending hundreds of thousands of soldiers to their death
Incompetent trainers sending non fully evolved Pokemon onto beaches as they rush to attack they notice the round shape in the sand and 💥. They wake up to the sound of screams and thier own luxios corpse ontop of them.
I’m curious about your thoughts on Tyranitar, as both Larvitar & Pupitar are natively found in the Silver Mountain range.
Maybe Tyranitar were used there and left offspring?
I mentioned Tyranitar in the video. Johto would have opted not to use them because of their ability to bring down mountains. Ultimately they are good path clearers but in this battle it would have actually been suicide to use them.
It's very solid theory. The civil war aspect also makes alot of sense because Kanto, Johto hoenn and sinnoh are infact regions of one country. We don't really have canonical evidence of countries being in the pokemon world as of gen 5 and all of the new places are termed regions but the concept of countries have only been introduced since Kalos. While the positioning might not be the same as they are on the real world, the first 4 regions make up the country Japan. I'm saying this to give more credence to this theory you have come up with. We know Galar and Paldea don't have mega evolutions but they didn't go to war with Kalos for mega evolutions. Infact they went to war and then mega evolution was born. What I'm trying to say is regions fighting over mega evolution and infinity energy technology makes sense if it is within the same country. Even though every region has it's own lore and mythos if they technically lie within one higher ruling system aka a country ( or kingdom or empire you get the point) they are bound to have historical and societal connections.
There is also the fact that Kanto and Johto are relatively empty regions with not alot of residents so those regions being the grounds of a recent war checks out as well.

Also if Sinnoh had access to Mega Garchomp they'd have one of the canonically strongest Pokemon on their side, at least as far as stats go. Mega Garchomp was up there with Black/White Kyurem.

It seems like the ultimate weapon is composed of crystals from Paldea and shaped like a Glimmora, since the power is a bright light that warps life energy from Pokémon and Floette are found in the Area Zero.
It state specifically within the lore that the Ultimate Weapon is made up of the life force of Pokemon. It's unclear if the crystals in the Paldean play apart in that but if it did, then Arceus needs to explain himself and quickly.

This has me believing Arceus built a disk of all pokemon and their potential typings and evolutions. Somewhere on this floating disk a battle causes the disk to rupture spilling parts and pokemon raining down onto whatever planets happened to be near by. The primary crash site was Paldea with smaller bits and pieces in places like Mount Moon. The crash populates the world with invasive species of pokemon that are predominantly regional because their portion of the floating disk crashed near their region. As humanity evolved potentially because of evolutionary energy from the crash they learn how to partner with these wild animals and base their technology around these creatures as well slowly domesticating them. Those who see pokemon as tools use them as such while others make more familial relationships with them. These disagreements cause rifts that lead to wars that leave us where we are now.
29:37 - What cannon are you using for this? As far as I know Professor Westwood was only a character in the anime and was where this date of 1925 was taken from, and in the games nothing like this was mentioned.
Pokemon regions are actually based on real places. Kanto Johto Hoenn and Shino are all in Japan, Unova is New York, Kalos is France, Alola is Hawaii, Galar is the UK, Paldea is Spain
This is why I think Paldea and Kalos might have been involved in a more recent war, that’s a different war from the one this video is talking about. There is also a chance that Galar might be involved, but I can’t really prove that this war even happened, Although it would make sense.
Also I think you forgot to talk about the Unova region as it was based on America(New York specifically) and Lt. Surge who is from there because in the Japanese version he is referred to as “The Lightning American” and in Black and White state that there was a war. There could be a chance that Unova was fighting the same war, or a different war. Nevertheless, it’s still a war that could be talked about.
Yall the pokemon company put zero care put into this lore. I havent read the manga but i think its time to accept that any thoughtful story written in the pokemon universe is going to be a fan fiction.
I asked Satoshi once, he said there was no such war. Everything is just peoples headcannon.

He's 34 actually and from Unova or Alola. He would have been in an unknown Unova or Alola conflict at this time.

6:58 I only now realize how messed up Infinity Energy is. It is a more direct fossil fuel. It's like if Google started killing 1000s of cats and dogs. I find it to be a weird thing to show. I now wonder what technology of the pokemon world uses it.

I may also need to watch this again, because I don't think I saw proof that kanto was in a war, but I'm not sure on this point. Also, would Kanto own/have good connections with the Sevi Islands at this point? Cause if they did, sea combat would be even easier
17:47 I really liked this battle podcast. I would really like to see something like this for the Unvar v Paldos war. I think showing what pokemon each side would use in the war is so interesting. I am really shocked you didn't mention Mega Blastoise at all, it is just a cannon. I actually like this too because it explains the many Kanto poison types, along with water/ice types.
I really liked this video. You have put so much work into every video so far. So even while not ever video makes 100% perfect sense, every video feels like it is collect a ton of puzzle pieces together. I have a feeling everything will connect soon. This was a solid 8/10 theory
To answer most of your questions - the pokemon timeline is specified in each individual game, so you have to piece it together from there.
As far as Hoenn and Johto going to war - the lore of the regions due provide evidence that it could of occurred, not that it did for sure.
Literally everything created by Devon and eventually Silph too, is powered by Infinity Energy, including Poke Balls.

if what pokemon evolutions says is correct then the infinity energy from the Hoenn region is given by the meteorite's radiation of the meteor that crashed and awoke the primal pokemon. AZ had no reason to give the infinity energy to Hoenn if it caused his biggest regret ever (losing floette), so he could be interested in studying the primal energy, but in order to give infinity energy his way he'd have to fire another weapon and kill a bunch of pokemon. If these meteorites are the cause of the mega evolution in hoenn and there were no weapons fired, the rest becomes just pure speculation. Devon is a STONE family, they got the energy from STONES and metal. It would fit the themes better and not hide a giant lie. Moreover the power of these meteors attracted deoxys in a meteor of itself to destroy the world and that's why mega rayquaza is summoned by zinnia right? sure AZ was there, and the energy is the same...but the origin isnt..right? Not only that but the mega stones of Kalos are used by radiation. SUre the creation of radiation is bad but they are just consequences of it. It does hurt the pokemon and that could be a better agument....Unova especially (according to ghetsis) had a deeper relationship with pokemon, so forcing an evolution that makes them hurt (pokedex entries) would be very frowned upon. I dont think the origin of it matters
