When you think about it the four Legends of ruin are similar yet opposite to the four Alola Gaurdians! Both quartets signature moves halves the opponents HP but the Tapus are protectors(Fairy type) and the Treasures Of Ruin are bringers of chaos(Dark Type)

You misunderstood the part about "paper substitutes". The tablets weren't made of paper, they were substitutes _for_ paper. They were likely made of bamboo. In fact, I'm pretty sure it _is_ stated to be bamboo, at some point.
yeah one of the aswers you can choose is wooden planks (correct answers) another is electronic tablet lol... Imagine if someone gave the king however long ago an Arc Pad...
But yeah wood plates/bamboo sheets of great quality, compared to either clay/stone that is a pain to record stuff in or paper which is easily ruined/smudged etc.
We're kind discussing apples and oranges here. Regardless I stated whatever the teachings were on those pieces of whatever - caused the King to investigate the crater - then later they became one of the Legendaries through his greed.
@@therealdrogane We don't know that teachings were written on the tablets at all. It's posed as an either-or proposition. The Pokedex entry for Wo-Chien in Scarlet reads: The grudge of a person punished for writing the king’s evil deeds upon wooden tablets has clad itself in dead leaves to become a Pokémon.
Honestly I dont get why more people arent suspicious of Ms. Raiford. I feel like shes got something going on no one knows about. Between her sneaking off to the point that Clavell got suspicious, saying shed fight you for the legendary pokemon, let alone that shed go after them and encourages you to do so after telling you how dangerous they are and that they destroyed the region. Shes got something going on she isnt saying.
She's a treasure hunter and pokemon that are literal living treasures are like the ultimate prize to her. It is suspicious however how she disagrees with his curriculum with how to teach the history classes.
If she's evil it's a shame because she's hot.
@@TheMegaultrachicken I doubt that she herself is inherently evil because if she disagrees with the curriculum then she knows that the curriculum isn't right or falsified to some extent, yes she may want powerful pokemon, after all, she was hand picked by geeta to teach the history geeta wants to teach...... Ms. Raifort seems like the minion who gets initiated, sees the horror, tries to fight back within the inside... Idk though, thats just me, this is still cool to think about

This war between Kalos and Paldea and relations with Galar reminds me of the one hundred years war between Portugal with Spain (Paldea) against France(Kalos) and Galar(U.K.).
What I like about the last 3 generations is the fact it went from beneficial Legendaries to neutral legendaries to hostile legendaries.
In post-game, when the player meets with Geeta in the library/entrance of the academy, Geeta mentions that it was her idea to build the library there and have all the books accessible. In which, wouldn't that also mean she determines which books are inaccessible as well? I was thinking about that after watching your video. By the way, awesome video. she just keeps getting more and more suspicious too me. i'm getting similar vibes to Chairman Rose, if Rose made more rational sense. i hope if they have a full heel turn reveal for her in the DLC it's much better executed than whatever was going on in that guys character arc.
@@mayayamato7351 in my opinion her being very easy in the champion fight was an act. She's playing the fool. When she reveals her true colors she'll use a better team and use it correctly. But this is gamefreak so idk about that.
@@TheMegaultrachicken nice, i understand your names reference. also i feel cautiously optimistic this time around. it feels like on the story and character development side of things they've put in more effort than back in SwSh. Don't get me wrong, I like several of them I just don't think their full potential as characters were really expanded on. But the teachers, rivals/friends and gym leaders in Paldea all feel like they've had decent screentime and development.
@@mayayamato7351 great that you got the reference. Story and character wise SV has it done right. I just really didn't like swsh and how it was so haphazardly made. Bdsp as well for being a copy paste with no actual new content and every bad thing from sword and shield like the forced exp share. Only legends Arceus was gen 8's saving grace. Otherwise everything about it was a disaster.
I'm still cautious about gen 9 because we may or may not get megas back but I won't hold my breath.
As far I have reason to belive the whole pokemon lore been created during production for generation 3 for many generations to come. Not saying that they knew all of the things at that moment already, but at least a rough direction of where things could lead to or different things are or should be based on in future games.
In generation 3 we have Deoxys an alien pokemon with a orb in the chest, and has the ability to transform into 4 different shapes.
In the card game of generation 3 we have delta species pokemon who look the same like normal pokemon but have different types than usual, one set of them was called "Crystal Guardians". The expansion was set on a mysterious island, far from the city of Holon, where Pokémon, both regular and Delta Species, live in harmony. The island also bears naturally growing crystals, which were said to grant special powers if used correctly. There is a card called "Crystal Shard" which can be given to a pokemon to transform it to a normal type pokemon instead of their usual type. And cards like "Crystal Beach" and "Cessation Crystal" included effects like removing certain powers from pokemon or removing energy efficiency - implying that crystals have the power to suck or remove energy and power.
In earlier sets delta species pokemon been mainly their normal type plus the steel type.
In later sets it became mono types with fully losing their original type.
Some of those sets also included super rare chase cards which all had the "poke-body ability" named "Crystal type" and the cards layout was crystal like textured. Those cards been all normal type regardless if it was a charizard or other species, but needed energy from three different types to use their attacks, which is usually only limited to 1 type of energy or max two in some rare cases.
In the 3rd film we learn about unown creating and shaping reality out of pure emotions and wishes from a human, often displayed as crystals. and we learn that they are having their own parallel infinite sized universe where they life. It is one my favourite theory that those unowns are actually creating everything in the normal pokemon world, influenced by the emotions, dreams and wishes of humans and pokemon. their dimension was shown multiple times in different movies, and their powers to be influenced by emotions was shown in the anime a lot even very recently again in the series. I even belive they trigger the energy for evolution from one stage to the next fully skipping slow evolution. Or why eggs suddenly appear, or why for example a water gun creates water out of nowhere OR an even better example is when pokemon evolve to protect someone even though they did not had the experience yet. Even mega evolution is triggered by a strong emotional bond.
Since their dimension is said to be infinite, I have reason to belive they are actually the infinite energy we are trying to figure out.
In generation 4 the games story was all about restarting the universe to build a new better one. I belive that Arceus and certain other legendary pokemon have control over the unown and can create things with their help. Best example for that is how Arceus is summoning unown which create a legendary egg if you bring a certain event Arceus. And even when Cyrus had no idea about that he kinda had limited control over the unown by controlling a legendary.
In generation 5 I don't really have much connected to this, only one thing which might sound like a stretch, but even though kyurem is an ice type it's body looks more like a crystal rather than ice. also in the card game there are several cards of kyruem with different collored crystals in the background. and there are two cards called "crystal wedge" and "crystal wall" which increase only kyurems HP, and no other's pokemon.
In generation 6 we of course have mega evolution which is based on crystals containing "DNA" energy or mega energy, or what ever we want to call it at this point, able to change the appearance AND type of a pokemon. Professor Sycamore theorizes that Mega Evolution originated from special stones, possibly evolution stones, that were irradiated by the light of Xerneas/Yveltal fired from the Ultimate weapon 3,000 years ago. However, according to knowledge passed down by the Draconids, Mega Evolution began with Rayquaza. Numerous meteorites rained from space, glowed with a rainbow brilliance, which attracted Rayquaza and led to it putting an end to the numerous disasters.
One thousand years later a massive meteorite with boundless brilliance resembling that of a Key Stone that bore deep into the ocean and created what would eventually come to be the location of Sootopolis City; with the impact cracking the ground and releasing a wave of primal energy.
Some mega stones can only be found when the sun dial made out of crystal is active, which is a bit interesting to think about. What the sun dial was about is still a mystery as well.
Back the time I theorized that maybe the orb inside Deoxys chest must be a mega stone. Because Deoxys is clearly comming from the same place where those Meteors been comming from as when you destroy the meteor in the gen3 remakes with the help of Rayquaza Deoxys is inside the meteor.
Also during the story of the gen3 remakes we learn that there been a plan to send the meteor to another dimensions but it was argued against it because of possible endangering other parallel universes or timelines. And in the mystery dungeon games there is a big story line where a Meteor starts to suddenly appear on the sky sucking away all the evolution energy of all pokemon rendering them unable to evolve until Rayquaza destroyed it. Might that be related to the whole topic of sending a meteor into another timeline, and those Crystals having the power to release but also suck energy? Most likely the wormhole it would need to travel would suck all the energy out of the meteor which would need to recharge stealing evolution energy of the mystery dungeon world.
Than we go to generation 7, and we have Z-Stones. Many people theorized that there would be Pokemon Z after pokemon X and Y but duo unknown reasons (some people belive it is because of the france terror attacks back the time they been scrapped bc of the story of lysandre trying to use whole Kalos like a alchemist circle to create something new and better and the story was only shown in the XYZ anime instead of new games). Zygardes final form which was supposed to be the 3rd legendary was shoehorned into the Alola games. I don't think them being called Z-Crystals in a coincidence. Once again we have something in connection with Kalos (Z) and Crystals holding energy to do certain powerful things. Also gen7 had totem pokemon with energy aura being bigger than normal. (just like titans in gen9)j
Than of course we have Necrozma - the prisma pokemon. Which is said to be not from this world but been hidden on earth for a looong time. A crystal/prisma themed pokemon again not from this world? is that a pattern?
Generation 8 had dynamaxing which was kinda similar to mega evolution and once again pokemon becomming bigger. Sadly I'm not that deep into Gen8's lore because it kinda feels incompleate like half of the story was missing duo time reasons. So we are missing out a lot details about what dynamaxing exactly is and why the game claims that it is just an illusion and the pokemon is actually not that big, but that kinda is nonsense, their attacks are the real deal, so why should it be an illusion, if not enhanced energy effects like for example terastylized pokemon would appear like crystals but clearly are not crystal as they can still move and return back to their old shape.
I'm not going to summarize gen9 again, since I guess that is kinda clear at this point. From steel type delta pokemon triggered by crystals and technology in the early card game lore to reaccuring themes such as unowns, energy, crystals, meteors, type changes, form changes, ancient wars having to do with crystals, mutations, wormholes, timelines, multiverse themes, crystals sucking energy, crystals giving energy... and the fact that the new pokemon cards are going back to the old lowercase "ex" cards which been last seen... you guessed it: in generation 3 cards where type changed pokemon been last seen in the card game too... all of this is super facinating and it kinda feels like there is something connecting all of this. And it's part of the games ever since gen3, it was just not so straigt at your face until more recnetly. And we are so close in cracking that ultimative lore system behind of all this, but most likely we will never know for sure.
Most people I tell about those connections kinda shrug it off as nonsense, but honestly - at this point I don't think it is coincidence anymore. What do you think? I belive infinite energy got to do with unowns, meteors, crystals and strong emotions/wishes - while my vote goes towards the unown at the end.
I forgot to say that even Ethernatus was inside a meteorite when it arrived. It shows off a pattern.
And again to close the circle the theory that the gen9 3rd legendary is also an alien life form which arrived inside a meteorite just once more lines up with that annihiliation movie theory. At this point I have to wonder if all of those pokemon and meteorites come from the same place where everything seems to be based on crystals and energy stones?

Trying to figure out the infinity energy lore for so long now, I love how they keep us wondering for so long, over so many generations now.
I’m pretty sure the teachings was the grudge of someone who wrote the king's evil desires on the wooden tablets the king was checking out. I think the writings were in a different language and the king assumed they were “teachings”.

Life makes sense considering arvens Pokémon was on its last legs but giving it the mystica slowly brought it back to life . Makes sense that it could give healthy Pokémon eternal life OR EVEN ….
Give humans the ability to be immortal . I believe clavell and the others from the academy ate the mystica or at the very least learned how to harness its power and Thts why to me it’s gotta be clavell is still Heath and all the professors are immortal figureheads leading the paldea region
Ultimate weapon hits Paldea, sends chunks of the earth into the atmosphere, they fall to the ground in places like galar to become wishing stars lol

I think the reason why there’s so many Kalos references is because Paleda = Spain and Kalos = France and irl they’ve had history with each other and both of them are in Europe and are close to each other
Yes while that is true some people believe that because of all the hints - Kalos DLC is inevitable.
I'm personally agnostic to this because Game Freak has never skipped over a Gen.
So for example Unova remakes should be next, not Kalos. It will be interesting to see if they skip Unova in favor for Kalos.

It's possible Geeta is a descendant of the empire, and the empire never ended, possibly with ties going as far back as Atlantis. The compass logo could signify this as a symbol of exploration. Which was the main goal of the Empire. Also the herba could be the secret of AZ's long lifespan.
I think that the most recent exploration team was Sada Turo, Raifort, Clavel and Geeta before she was top champion. One of the professors went into the past or future, the other died and was replaced with an ai. The others were able to escape and were given prominent positions to compensate them for their troubles.
I'm pretty sure Jacq went with Clavell tho, at least that's what I think it's implied during Jacq's classes
I think the Paldean Empire is a mix of the Roman and Spanish and Portuguese colonial Empires. One of the most famous Roman Emperors was from Spain, Hadrian.
I can agree with this aswell it could make sense for a dlc to be in the Azores which is owned by Portugal today (aswell it could the Canary Islands) also thanks for the free history fact

I actually have 2(maybe 3) theories that connects Kalos(XY) to Paldea(Scarlet And Violet) and you can thank the XY/XYZ Anime Series for them more specifically a couple certain Episodes that hinted at Scarlet And Violet in the first place. Do you want to hear them? Also, I have a question for you: Have you already heard about the rumors about the 3rd Legendary Pokemon potentially being a Paradox Version of a certain Kalos Pokemon yet?

Well, think about it: These games have this deep-developed lore-bits, yet fail on the technical side quite a bit.. So that suggests, that at least a fraction of the Devs have to work on the lore - and do so very well. So ambition isn´t a valid argument - but carelessness from a hand full of higher up´s.. I found it fascinating, that despite all the weak parts of these games in the switch era, they (sadly only after digging deeper) reveal some very interesting stuff - the juicy bits! Therefore I´ve always loved those deep-dive videos, cause they are like an investigation themselves!
The oldest info we have ib pokemon is that it seems that Screamtail comes from 1 billion years into the past, which is even older than animals in our irl universe. Just let that sink in

Damn imagine if they made a prehistoric eevee, and pikachu that was just bigger and had fangs and stuff, that would be cool (Gorochu the 3rd evolution of Raichu floated on a cloud, had fangs and just looked like a more round raichu) but an eevee would be an easy way to make a basic evolution for eevee without messing with eevee’s need to gain evolutions to combat all predators in any region and area, but other than that I would have to say a future Persian would look really cool/ I would take an eevee or pikachu as a future Pokémon too, but damn can’t wait for more dlc based on the lore as well as paradox Pokémon.
The Paldea region isn't the same area as the Paldean Empire. The remains of the empire and other countries combined to form Paldea. The school was probably the catalyst for the unification of the region.

All 4 if the sub legendaries dex entries say they were all ONCE THE TREASURES. The kings evilness transformed them into pokemon.

I stated that yes the story refers to them as being all 4 legendaries first and stated my theory afterward. I never stated I was right.
Plus the pokedex is not always known to give accurate information all the time.
Hello. Dropping another random theory. Two actually.
1. Every Legendary Pokémon has the ability and Pokedex entry for catastrophes. This includes Scarlet and Violets poster boys as well.
However if you look at their move list each Pokémon has a move that describes itself plus the move Ruination. All of these Pokémon are basically possessed by evil. However our two poster children each have the move "Endure" and notice how only the nice versions of those Pokémon have it. The more evil version gives up the move Endure.
Also that the evil Legendaries have moves that fit with its Lore. Like how Wo-Chien has the move Foul Play which makes sense as they were the ones solely listing the Kings evil deeds and the move Giga Drain as it drains the life source of vegetation and causes it to wither and die.
2. Zygarde is 1000% the mysterious Pokémon. Let me know if you want hardcore proof. I have the greatest evidence nobody has even talked about yet.

@Michelleosprey OK. So Zygarde is the mysterious legendary from the Scarlet/Violet Book. The book talks about how the Pokémon has hexagonal pattern on its shell. This will probably be a Paradox version of Zygarde but still Zygarde.
What is Zygardes purpose? To protect the ecosystems of Regions as it monitors and attacks those who disrupt the ecosystems in a negative way. And what mechanic do we have in this game that basically effects the economy system? Mass Outbreaks. Now you could say that us stopping Mass Outbreaks are a good thing however... What's another system we have in Gen 9? Craftable TMs.
And what do we use to craft TMs? Pokemon Data/DNA. A way to tell that its Data/DNA is because you can defeat a Gengar or Haunter and it will always yeild the baby Pokémon's material used to craft TM's. That is because it is the Pokémon's Base form before Evolution. And what Pokémon do we know collects cells and data? Zygarde. Even though it only collects its own cells and data maybe this Paradox form is a combination of Past,Present,Future and can harness all forms of cells and data from Pokémon to be the ultimate eco system balancing Pokémon. Its only purpose.
Also in the book it is describe as looking like a disk. When do we usually see disc's? When we select TMs and HMs and what are TMs and HMs? Disc's that teach Pokémon new moves and how are TMs created in Gen 9? By trading Pokémon materials.
And who is in charge of the LP system and the TM distribution. Geeta and the Elite Four. (Mainly Geeta) Who also now has an interest in Penny once they realized how good they were with computers and hacked their systems? Geeta. I wouldn't be surprised if Geeta has Zygarde locked up somewhere and uses it for power and since Zygarde is locked up it hasn't been able to stop the inbalancing of the ecosystems which is why Mass Outbreaks are occurring in the first place. There's alot more I can say but let me know if you want me too.
So in regards to Zygarde - it would explain why X and Y's version of him is kind of like a husk version. Alola gave us his complete form.
The Disk Pokemon could be related to Zygarde but it's probably unlikely.

@Drogane Knowing Pokémon I wouldn't be surprised if the data Pokémon evolved into a disk as a way to store all of that data. 🤣 But yeah probably.
I always think that if there’s a game about ancient Paldea, the king will be the villain.
And maybe this game’s lore will become so dark it’s like a horror game.

the king with the merchant story reminds me of the adventures to the east of the venetian merchant Marc Polo. who was the first European to document the east. it is believe he brought porcelin ( vessel), gunpowder (a weapon), paper (tablets) and the culture - jade beads yin-yang (bead necklace). people also thought he was a liar and made it up similar to heath ...
I believe that was part of their inspiration yes.
There was an video release today by Hoops saying from an Reddit theory that the Netflix movie annihilation has an Heavy connection with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s story very interesting. And this video today wow so much exciting stuff can’t wait for more. 😆
I've responded to this several times before but to state again, I believe there may be inspiration of ideas but not entirely.
And as someone who saw that movie myself - it would be really hard for Pokemon to adapt that entirely considering the core demographic that plays these games.
I love watching these videos, keep up the good work! Also can we get more clarification about A.A.T. and A.T.? Like what year, or maybe have it at a specific event in the Pokemon world like the Darkest Day or something similar like the Kalos war or the Unovan war?
Small little edit: Around 28:15, what if in the DLC, the Paldean Empire is starting to be reborn with Geeta as the Empress or Queen, and she's treated as the ''true'' villain like Rose and Lusamine. It could possibly end with Geeta being exiled, and the main protag becoming Top champ and Nemona or Hassel becoming chairwoman/chairman of the league. Maybe Clavell becomes the Chairman of the School Board and Jacq becomes Academy Director. The biology teacher could be a new character introduced as a new ''rival'' almost. We should also get new classes for the school.
The Zero date or rather the "1" date is still unknown in the Pokemon world. Otherwise I would state it. However, I may be close to finding it. Been working on it between videos.

Okay okay hear me out. What if the king of paldea was AZ'S brother? He could even be loosely based on Phillip V (a man from the FRENCH royal family who was king of Spain who wanted to unite the French and Spanish thrones to overpower the rest of europe) also I think the years match up in the games. Both being about 3,000 years ago I believe (I'm fuzzy on the years for the paldean king due to only playing the game once)

The robo professor mentions having a databank of every champion in Paldea, could that be because of Geeta? She is the head champion and faces each one so if a champion was to earn the title they have to be seen and battled by her. She could be giving the robo professor information but I wonder if she knew he/she was a robot or if she believed it was the real professor?

I'm assuming that the room is in fact the legendary pokemon that's supposed to be in the depths of area zero, and it's spawning people's imaginations of pokemon into reality. the turtle-part of it should be somewhere above the machine in the room.
the professor's time machine never brought pokemon of another timeline into the present. the pokemon have been seen 200 years prior by the exhibition team as noted in the purple book.
the writer of the purple book's partner was in fact Cyclizar.
When he met the entity it's future/past version got created into reality depending on his imagination that changes with the game version.
What's also interesting is the sun symbol of Geeta on her glove.
Alot of people assume that she's evil because of the power structure she is keeping up and the bad comments of the gym leaders towards her.
Since she has a area zero pokemon in her team people see a connection.
I also think she's heavily involved with area zero.
The symbol on her glove in fact resembles iron moth and slither wing (with spread wings).
So it's very possible that she had contact with the entity aswell and spawned iron moth/slither wing into existence.

That pre evolved form can be found outside of area zero. It actually can spawn near one of the spawn points for the gen 9 pseudo legendary. Although I do agree with you something is off about her. How is she the top champion if she is so weak? We will hopefully get a more difficult battle with her in the dlc.
I just want to point out that the symbol on Geeta's glove is shared across all of the elite four members and also is identical to the compass that is depicted in the bottom right of loading screens. Also the various research stations are stated to be built for the various expeditions that delved into the crater while number four at the very bottom was likely built or at the very least modified by Sada/Turo's team, the others were used as way stations by other research teams and likely updated throughout the years with things like warp tech and such.

My headcannon on the "merchant from the east" is that it's Volo from Legends arceus trying to explore new lands and is causing trouble without a care because he never got to subjugate Arceus.
It IS confirmed that the treasures are the 4 legendaries, you are outright told that the items became those Pokemon.

If Heath takes revenge for people not believing him, he will be the bad guys from Up. If we get another Legends game, I would really like to see a younger AZ. We only meet the completely broken man he was. Also, with herba mistaca, the Titans are very old and very large, just like AZ. I think that because almost every paldea mystery revolves around the crater, we really just need more information. I don't think Clavell becoming head master of the school is sketch. He was a researcher, had solid knowledge to pass on. What is sketch is that both Clavell AND Jasq are now teachers, at the same school. Also, with the SV book, why was it rejected by everyone? Sure, could seem fantastical. But, couldn't Great Tusk just be a regional variant? The change between Great Dusk and Donphan have about as much different as Galarian Yamask. Just somethings I thought of. I will probably do a massive comment tomorrow on my thoughts, but happy holidays

I strongly feel they're the best complete games since gen6 (gen 7 is excused however since it was Island based and just different.) While gen6 was great; it did use the tried and tested You vs Evil team formula yet again. S/V sets off on a totally fresh new premise and is leaps & bounds ahead of the laughable Sword & Shield debacle that would shame a pre-schooler.
Possibly the ultimate weapon is what caused the great crater paldea. Although it doesn’t go into the timeline of the great creator of paldea being formed 1,000,000 years ago that’s why it’s just a theory
Unforunately there is no possible way the weapon caused the crater. However, many believed it hit the crater at some point.

@@therealdrogane We know the time of when they lived, though, as old as 300 millions years old for some of them (also considering what Anorith is based on, the original Pokémon should be about 500 millions years old, but they were apparently a lot younger according to Pokémon Sword's dex entry), so with its one million years old, the Great Crater of Paldea is relatively young...
Also, if we base the age of the Pokémon world on the estimations we have for our world (since nothing in the lore goes against it, why not), it would mean that even the oldest fossils would be really young, since we would be speaking about events that took place billions of years ago.

I'm pretty sure the academy being so ancient is a reference to real world European universities like Oxford.
We don't think about it this way but those universities are basically ancient, with evidence pointing to teaching being done at Oxford all the way in 1096 AD the better part of 1000 years ago and certainly existing when Great Britain was considered the Empire of Great Britain and well before it became the modern United Kingdom.
As far as why it's in the Spanish region and not the British region of Galar, most of the regions are not 1 to 1 replications of their irl inspirations, and it's probably an idea that was meant for Galar and just never made it in due to time constraints.

The crater might be based on the one that killed the Dinosaur, which landed in Mexico (a former colony of Spain).

Also another thing is that the great crater of paldea could of made some of the prehistoric Pokémon go extinct (not all of the prehistoric Pokémon since we see them alive in new Pokémon snap and in the crown tundra)
3:58 wait Unova's civilization was ravaged 2500 years ago. The Kalos, Galar, Paldea and Ancient Sinnoh war was 3000 years before the games. Unova had no stakes in the original war, but maybe the war caused the origin dragon to appear from space like in the legends of Unova.

@@therealdrogane Galar map wise is south not north. Sinnoh is the northern most area as it's biggest snow zone and highest mountain is north while Galar's southern most area is the biggest snow zone. While Galar is inverted UK in design it's snowy area is not to the north like every other region.
Also Darkest day was probably caused by the weapon firing as it overloaded Erernatus.

Cosmic horror/eldritch/SCP media tends to have an impact site/first contact, expeditions to understand the being, reality being mutated, mental effects/memory issues, and eldritch copies/clones of people/places/animals.
Look at "Stranger things" and its got the same tropes. Or even closer to the sv story, "made in the abyss" is VERY similar. (Made in the abyss creators are creeps so I don't endorse the series, it just has striking similarity plot wise. Eldritch pit, dead parent draws the child into the pit, pit is explored for treasure, inexplicable monsters are spawning from the pit, a lab on each layer, etc.)

And no it doesnt mean the ones we beat were 200+ years old... it basically just meant they stopped the attempts to cultivate this plant outside of the crater because it was to dangerous. I do expect them to be around for a while, bigger stronger than the others... if say a dog lives to be 15 years old... HM helps it live to be say... 20-25 years old or something.
I'd assume a Titan will die eventually and when it dies hey another pokemon can have a chance to get its maw on the herba Mystica. The problem is we don't know exactly how titan pokemon came to be i dont think it was made clear. like its not just eating Herba Mystica ccause well mabostiff would and your brute would be titans then. and so would arven lol. But probably just prolonged consumption? It boosts their energy and such so that plus fending off others trying to steal their food maybe. But then again maybe titans are old AF and came up from the depths of the crater to find their fave food- then again it sounds like there'd be a better supply down there (so why go clear to the surface?)
The big flaw is we don't know when SV takes place in regards other than "after SWSH" cause we know in the post game of SWSH we are given a copy of Sonia's book- which had just gotten published.
And well... lets be real... pokemon profs are viewed as important peeps if one is publishing abook... its gonna be in high demand once word gets out.
As for "what could clavell had been a researacher for?" Maybe he worked in R&D for Sylph co? Maybe he was a researcher for a prof in another region? Then again maybe he was stuck in the Zero gate and prof didnt let him down to even station 1, just analazying data without context or something.
They specifically stated in the history regarding the titans they ate the planted Herba Mystica and became titans. Meaning they have in fact been titans since the expedition.

Where did the information come from, that 1.5 years prior to the Paldea story was the DLC in Galar? Does your timeline just assume that the events are equivalent to real life releases, or is there an official statement?
It regards Penny's storyline and Team Star. The game released in 2019 - S&S fall time. S&V released 2022 fall time.
