Rabbi Tovia Singer Exposes New Testament Lies

  • Rabbi Tovia Singer is the founder and director of Outreach Judaism, a Jewish counter-missionary organization. It describes itself as "an international organization that responds directly to the issues raised by missionaries and cults, by exploring Judaism in contradistinction to fundamentalist Christianity." Singer cautions regarding congregations that "are designed to appear Jewish, but are actually fundamentalist Christian churches, which use traditional Jewish symbols to lure the most vulnerable of our Jewish people into their ranks." Outreach Judaism was described by J. Gordon Melton in 2002 as an example of "the current state of Jewish counter-cult activity."

MythVision Podcast Tovia is a Ashkenazi Jew!
Dr Elhaik's paper, 'The missing link of Jewish European ancestry: contrasting the Rhineland and the Khazarian Hypotheses', examined a comprehensive dataset of 1,287 unrelated individuals of 8 Jewish and 74 non-Jewish populations genotyped over 531,315 autosomal single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). This was data published by Doron Behar and colleagues in 2010, which Elhaik used to calculate seven measures of ancestry, relatedness, admixture, allele sharing distances, geographical origins, and migration patterns. These identified the Caucasus-Near Eastern and European ancestral signatures in the European Jews' genome along with a smaller, but substantial Middle Eastern genome.
The results were consistent in depicting a Caucasus ancestry for all European Jews. The analysis showed a tight genetic relationship between European Jews and Caucasus populations and pinpointed the biogeographic origin of the European Jews to the south of Khazaria, 560 kilometers from Samandar -Khazaria's capital city. Further analyses yielded a complex multi-ethnical ancestry with a slightly dominant Caucasus -Near Eastern, large South European and Middle Eastern ancestries, and a minor Eastern European contribution.
Dr Elhaik writes, "The most parsimonious explanation for our findings is that Eastern European Jews are of Judeo-Khazarian ancestry forged over many centuries in the Caucasus. Jewish presence in the Caucasus and later Khazaria was recorded as early as the late centuries BCE and reinforced due to the increase in trade along the Silk Road, the decline of Judah (1st-7th centuries), and the rise of Christianity and Islam. Greco-Roman and Mesopotamian Jews gravitating toward Khazaria were also common in the early centuries and their migrations were intensified following the Khazars' conversion to Judaism… The religious conversion of the Khazars encompassed most of the Empire's citizens and subordinate tribes and lasted for the next 400 years until the invasion of the Mongols. At the final collapse of their empire in the 13th century, many of the Judeo-Khazars fled to Eastern Europe and later migrated to Central Europe and admixed with the neighbouring populations."

@Christian Soldiers Quite simply, this phenomenon -- that of people who are experiencing deep grief and trauma after the loss of a loved one, seeing the departed, talking to them, etc., post mortem, is far from uncommon. It happens all the time. And in a case like this, with a person who carried so many people's hopes and expectations, the "news" of his return would spread and multiply and, instead of dying out like the last flickers of a burning ember, one could easily see it such incidents stoking and reinforcing one another. "What? You say him?" Why, yes, I saw him too. We both saw him. What, George and Larry saw him? Me too! We all saw him!" Over forty years of marriage I've heard my wife tell the same story -- well, many many times and I can tell you first hand how a single account of a real event has the tendency to "improve" with the telling. And I have no doubt that stories of Jesus' resurrection, which might easily have started in this way, might easily have "improved" in the same way.
And as for martrydom -- people died for Joseph Smith and for the Branch Davidians -- but I don't think anyone says -- "See, how do you explain that?" I explain it because they believed it -- not because it was true.
Ultimately, we don't have to explain the events -- we have to explain the accounts -- and the account of a miracle, or of a resurrection is often much easier to explain than an actual miracle an actual resurrection.
The world is full of accounts of miracles and of resurrections.

@GMBCATASTROPHE The problems with Christianity that Rabbi Singer points out go well beyond the problems created by mean Christians. Is it really "helpful or positive" to encourage people to believe, with absolute certainty, claims that are so transparently false? The catastrophic consequences of such thinking throughout history are clear enough, but I doubt you can demonstrate that such beliefs actually make better, more moral, people. Bishop Fulton (Sheen), for example, played a role in covering up child molesting Priests when he was a bishop of Rochester. I value the Rabbi's "genius and humor", but value more the lessons we ought to learn from his scholarship.

Curtis Scissons Curtis, Paul said, “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. 2For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge (Romans 10:1,2). He also said, For just as YOU were at one time disobedient to God but now have received mercy BECAUSE of THEIR disobedience, so they too have now been disobedient in order that by the MERCY shown to you they also may now RECEIVE MERCY.” (Romans 11:30,31). Paul had a strong desire that the Jews would be saved and accept Yahshua as Messiah and Savior, but it seems that you want to curse them. You post verses that are out of context to “prove” your point in a destructive way. If you want to know who crucified Yahshua then post also these verses: “for truly in this city there were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the GENTILES and the peoples of Israel, 28to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place” (Acts 4:27). “No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded.” (John 10:18).

Ι will say only one thing. Everyone has the Ι right not to be a Christian for their own reasons. But he has no right to pretend he does not know one thing. That Judaism, or at least what we call Judaism today, has absolutely nothing to do with the Old Testament Jews and their views on the Messiah at that time. Judaism today is what partly benefits them from the Old Testament and the invented Talmud and Kabbalah which were both written AFTER Christ during the medieval times. Both of them, the Talmud and the Kabbalah, annul the Old Testament itself.

I had a dream about 30 years a go,I saw a man very humble without any color. He was built a wall while I watched him.Soon I saw Jesus showed up with a ball on his hand. He threw the ball to me ,and I had a desire to hit the humble man with the ball; then he spoke to me: I thought you’re with me, I hesitated and confused. When he realized I was confused,he gave me permission to do what I had desire to do with the ball, then I knocked him with the ball;as soon as I knocked him, he was burned to dust. Then Jesus started to walk to the direction he came and I started to fallow him,as I made one step behind Jesus, the humble man I was destroying with the ball embracing me like you put 2 things on the blinder together and the mixed together until you can’t make any different between the two. It took me about 15 years to understand this dream. I do not go to the church anymore since I understand who is Jesus. The creator who spoke to Moses and Abraham,or to any true prophet,he is exist. But he is a different person to Jesus.

@Abraham Mani Okay. Well, I actually have come to basically believe that Revelation was originally a Gnostic book and that the king who rules during the end times referred to as "the Beast" is actually Dowid Ha Melekh, while the so-called "false prophet" is Eliyahu whom the "Old Testament" also portrays as returning during the end times. Both the "false prophet" and Eliyahu are described as calling down fire from heaven in the sight of men, for one thing, and given that the Gnostics refer to the God of the Jews and of Abraham as a "false god", so too would they refer to His prophets as "false prophets". This is not to mention the parallels between the "kings" associated with the "Beast" and Dragon and those kings/archons Gnosticism portrays as being associated with "Yaldabaoth", its depiction of the God of Abraham, and many other indications of the humanistic, psychopathic, Gnostic origin of the book.

Christianity is the ultimate and most insidious example of such luring of Jews away from the Jewish system, including the priesthood, which most of the prophets belonged to. Christianity is the most disturbing example of such enticement toward apostasy because it blasphemously claims that exactly what was good for the Romans, such as the rejection of the Torah and submission to THEIR law, is what the God of the Jews wills.

Well, many highly incisive minds over the millennia have believed in Torah. National Revelation is a tough one to get around. Plus, the unbroken chain of transmission from generation to generation; the falsifiable prophesies vis a vis Jewish history; and the improbable continued existence of the Jewish People despite landlessness and all the various hostile diasporas over thousands of years. The earliest completed version of the Christian Old Testament dates back to around 300 A.D., while the oldest completed Jewish Bible dates around 1000 A.D. Given this, it's noteworthy that 2 Chronicles, the final book of the Jewish Bible/Old Testament, concludes with accounts of Jewish kings engaging in sinful actions. Considering the condemnation of these kings for their wickedness, one might wonder whether it's plausible that the nation of Israel could have deliberately edited their Bible version, removing references and prophecies about Jesus. This concept isn't entirely implausible.

First Paul killed believers in the flesh, then he attacked them spiritually. Paul with his duality: either the "law" or "grace" - and the Apostle John, "keep the commandments". With this argument against Paul destroys the catholic church's apostolic succession. I would make a couple of corrections: 1. It's just a "Greek proverb"; Paul is directly quoting from Euripides play from which he ripped off the entire conversion story and this quote is word for word stolen from the play. 2. He is not "Pharisee Saul"; there is no evidence whatsoever that he had a Jewish background or any Jewish training and there is no evidence that he was from the house of Benjamin. He was a Roman. 3. The "first love" that the church was told to return to was referring to the Torah, to keeping the Commandments. With that said, this is a pretty good break down of the evidence that proves Paul was a false apostle. Excellent video Rabbi Federow and Steve! The differences between Deuteronomy 30:11-14 and Romans 10:6-9 are really quite shocking. The Scripture could not be more clearer! But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:14 NKJV. Once upon a time there was a tribe living in the Middle East that had a collection of sacred texts written in Hebrew, Chaldean and Aramaic. It is the nature of sacred tests to be venerated and transmitted from generation to generation unaltered.
As time passed members of this tribe emigrated to areas where Hebrew and Aramaic and Chaldean were not spoken. A large community settled and prospered in the city of Alexandria in Egypt. Greek replaced their tribal language. They needed an accurate translation of their venerated documents into Greek.
Around 250 B.C. seventy rabbis translated the sacred texts into Greek. This translation was not a bootleg edition. The project was approved by the High Priest and the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem. The Septuagint, the translation of the seventy, was an official document.
A Hebrew Bible exists today. It is used by Jews everywhere. It is called the Masoretic text. It was compiled around 700 A.D. It is almost one thousand years newer than the Septuagint. The rabbis who compiled the Masoretic text were not accountable to the High Priest in Jerusalem. There no longer was a High Priest. The rabbis who compiled the Masoretic text were not accountable to the Sanhedrin in Jerusalem. There no longer was a Sanhedrin.
The Septuagint predates the first appearance of the Masoretic text by almost ten centuries. The Septuagint is based upon Hebrew texts at least twelve centuries older than the texts upon which the Masoretic version is based. Yet, modern Christian translations of the Old Testament rely on the Masoretic Text, not the Septuagint.
    Where is the problem?
Most of the quotations from the Old Testament in the New Testament used the Septuagint as their primary source. The integrity and truthfulness of the Septuagint is completely dependent on the Septuagint being a truthful translation. Discredit the Septuagint and there is no New Testament.
There was no controversy about the integrity of the Septuagint from 250 B.C. until 135 A. D.
What had happened to provoke dissatisfaction with the Septuagint among the Jews?
Annas and Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin had rejected the messianic claims of Jesus. The New Testament documents had been written and were circulating by A.D. 70. The Jews knew that the credibility of the Christian Gospels depended on the credibility of the Septuagint. Something had to be done.
Around 95 A.D. Rabbi Akiva, who later proclaimed Bar Kochba as the messiah, hired a man named Aquila to translate a Hebrew to Greek version of the Old Testament that would undermine the messianic claims of Jesus found in the Septuagint. Some scholars believe that the Masoretic text was based in part on this tendentious translation by Aquila.
How is the Masoretic text different from the Septuagint?
Psalm 22:16 the word “pierced” has been replaced by “lion”.
    Psalm 145: 13 omitted entirely.
Isaiah 53:11 the word “light” is omitted.
On 134 occasions the Tetragrammaton, the name of God, has been replaced by “Adonai”.
Psalm 151 was omitted entirely. (It is now omitted by almost all Christian Bibles !)
Exodus 1: The number 75 replaced by 70
    Genesis 10:24 some generations removed.
Deuteronomy 32:8 “Angels Of Elohim” replaced with “children of Israel.”
Jeremiah 10 verses 6 and 7 have been added in the Masoretic.
Psalm 96:10 “Say among the nations, YHWH reigns from the wood” omitted.
Isaiah 19:18 “city of righteousness” changed to the “city of the sun” or in some versions “the city of destruction.”
The Masoretic scribes purposely and willfully rearranged the original chapter order in the prophetic Book of Daniel, so that the chapters make no sense chronologically.
Isaiah 61:1 “recovery of sight to the blind.”. Omitted.
In Psalm 40:6 “a body you have prepared for me” was replaced by “you opened my ears.”
Deuteronomy 32:43 ‘Let all the messengers of Elohim worship him.’” Omitted.
Genesis 4:8: “Let us go into the field” is omitted.
Deuteronomy 32:43. Moses’ song is shortened.
Isaiah 53 contains 10 spelling differences, 4 stylistic changes and 3 missing letters for light in verse 11, for a total of 17 differences.
Isaiah 7:14. “Virgin” replaced by “young woman.”
(When Aquila made his Greek translation of the Old Testament at the behest of Rabbi Akiva, he changed the Septuagint’s “virgin” into “young woman”. The Masoretic compilers may have followed his lead.)
The Masoretic text differs from the Septuagint in hundreds of places.
How do we know which text is accurate?
The Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered just after World War II.
According to carbon dating, textual analysis, and handwriting analysis the documents were written at various times between the middle of the 2nd century BC and the 1st century AD. There are fragments from all of the books of the Hebrew Bible fragments except the Book of Esther and the Book of Nehemiah.
In addition an independent Aramaic translation of the Hebrew Bible exists, the Peshitta.
Control of the Dead Sea Scrolls was a military objective of Israelis. It was achieved by their victory in the Six Days War.
The publication of the scrolls slowed to a trickle.
After 1971, the international team even refused to allow the publication of photographs of the material. They excluded scholars who wanted to make independent evaluations.
The embargo was not broken until 1991.
An addition to the Dead Sea Scrolls, scholars can use the Peshitta to decide between the Masoretic text and the Septuagint.
I have given examples above of some of the places the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Peshitta, and the Septuagint agree.
The Masoretic Text is part of a tradition that began with Rabbi Akiva. Rabbis rewrote the Jewish Bible to destroy the credibility of the New Testament.
The Hebrew versions of the Old Testament have been used to proclaim scores of “messiahs” . The Septuagint was only used once.

  • @rightousliving

I think Singer is wrong, it’s not Luke who added the passage of the blind in Jesaiah 61 and it was than added to the Septuagint. That’s just nonsense. Luke just used the Septuagint like Mathew and other writers of the New Testament. The question should rather be, why was it in the Septuagint in the first place? It’s a translation from the Hebrew which would indicate that there were Hebrew manuscripts that contained that passage which are now lost.

The only problem with your point is, if you check up the history of the Septuagint, only the first five books of Moses were translated. The rest of Tanak wasn't. So you have been lied to

The discrepancies are meaningful because Christianity makes fantastic claims about Tanach (so-called "Old Testament"). Christianity claims to be the fulfillment of Tanach, and the Church the replacement of the Jewish People. The NT has a series of "proofs" to demonstrate how this is so. When you examine these proof-texts against the original Hebrew Scriptures, they fall apart. There are so many misquotes, mistranslations, phantom verses, and so on.

@Abraham Mani wow that was so convincing. I guess I will have to tell Gd... not JC that I followed his tenach and didn't worship a man and that's why I rejected JC. I'm not worried about devils and marks of the beast. That's unsubstantiated rhetoric that you hear on the train from the crazy lady condemning people for being a non believer

    • @Rovtful
      @Rovtful 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Abraham Mani Kiss the son. It's a shame you do not read Psalms in its original Hebrew. Bar means purity. The passage in proper context means that one should gird themselves in bar.. purity...not son. Arguing this with a Hebrew reading and speaking individual would be like arguing about the definition of the word Pencil. Let me ask one simple question. Why would Gd not tell the Jews about Jesus at Mt Sinai? Why would one need to resort to tortuous and incorrect hermeneutics to understand the true nature of God. Gd was very clear about telling Jews not to eat bugs and pigs, rodents, etc.., but failed to reveal clearly what the true nature of Gd is and how to worship Him in faith. Your responses are emotional. Understand that my soul is eternal and I will never jeopardize my relationship with the one Gd ( not 3 persons). Your arguments are unfounded and rhetorical in nature. Show me the money!

    • @Rovtful
      @Rovtful 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Abraham Mani you are not answering the question. Gd has to clearly reveal how and to whom we should pray. It needs to be clear for anyone to understand without turning one's brain into a pretzel. If gd wanted us all to worship Jesus, then he should have said that clearly without resorting to all this foreshadowing stuff. Also, it is reckless to quote passage such as kiss the son without knowing how to read Hebrew. It's your soul on the line. You need to read the fine print

Hell is real!!! Where will you go when you die??? If the rapture took place today, would you be left behind??? Jesus loves you and He died for your sins. Anyone who rejects Jesus Christ will not see the Kingdom of Heaven. Humble yourself to REPENT and put your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Mark 1:15 For the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe in the gospel.

The Septuagint therefore satisfied a need in the Jewish community." It existed in Scroll also
