Having followed the first tutorial in creating the city, I’ve used a brick texture and colour ramp connected to the emission of a BDSF texture so mine looks more sci-if city but now I’ve seen this tutorial I can make it look more conventional city. There’s no end of texturing that can be done with the basic model so all depends on the final look you’re aiming for. Still I’ve learnt something with using the glossy and emission shader mix to have windows looking reflective like real glass without looking flat. Next thing will be adding TV masts and such.
Like the way you talk about the nodes just show so much understanding! I'm doing a game dev course and this is exactly what I was looking for to create the environment! Awesome! Liked and Subbed!
hey great vid but can you do tutorial on how do you make your building array thing, when i tried it my self my building would be so tall after 2 or 3 array
First Thank you for those 2 Amazing tutorials. I have a question for you. Once you do your city, if u want to integrate it somewhere, is there a way to show off the cubes u have used to build the city? or you just hide them in the back of it? thanks for answering, keep pushing!
I’m having some difficulty with lighting up the buildings I have the purchased one from gumroad but it already has building geometry setup I’m tryin to make the night time look for the city.
I found seamless image textures like you did, but the image is stretched on the longer buildings. I've tried UV unwrapping, applying scale of the main object, and adjusting the scale of the geometry nodes. Shrinking along the Z axis returns the texture to normal, but this removes the taller buildings. Not sure how to fix.
i dunno if anyone is reading this but i need help, i a placing the texture but on my goemetry node it just stretches witht the building instead of projecting like on the base cube, any help would be appreciated, thanks
Sorry but last tutorial makes all the objects in building folder stretch, and now this texture is also geting streched. as well as al the ´windows´ so everything looks really stretched.. how to fix this??
excuse me, i success to make a city, then i create a animation to make light turn on and off. but i dont know how to export this project to any file format, so i can put it on unity or ue4... i need some help, do you have any suggest..?
hello I'm Korean high school student. I want to make computer game with my friend(great programmer) but It's hard to make 3D things. We don't have money so we can't entrust design. So can you help us?
Wow this is just amazing. My dreams in making my own animated series is coming true with stuffs like this popping out everyday

Make the original building taller with an array modifier
@@futurewjetpacks How?....
Hi, great video ! I would just like to know if this could be used in a game engine
Can’t see any reason why not!
Thank you very much

Is there a way to have the buildings not intersect eachother?
I asked myself the same question. You can try to apply a "Weight Paint" to the geo node or a modifier "Vertex Weight Proximity"

So I'm waiting for the geometry version
Who else?
