Just switched from Xbox series x to a pc about 2 months ago haven’t touched my Xbox since. Pc is so amazing you can seriously do anything you want and games are so much better
Same here. I got my first gaming pc a couple years ago, but didn’t really dive in since I grew up with consoles. Just a few months ago I bought Cyberpunk on GOG, then I started downloading a ton of demos during Steam’s Next Feast and Future Games Show and just haven’t looked back. I still play my PS5 a lot, but I really have no use for my Series X anymore. It took a while but I’m slowly switching over to PC gaming being the primary place I play games.
This honestly makes me appreciate my Steam Deck even more. When it was released, Valve went all "it's yours. Do whatever you want with it." and they weren't just talking about the software side of things, but also when it came to the hardware. It all of a sudden became such a weird concept of you buying a piece of tech, and you actually owning it. It really made me double down on PC gaming even more. I've been emulating the original Xbox lately on Xemu with the TruHeXen homebrew for that original UI, and it's been amazing to experience. Even got an original Duke controller hooked up with a USB adapter. PC gaming has truly become my one all be all gaming experience.
Valve recognized the potential of PC as a platform and also the threat of Microsoft monopolising it. As such, they've been working in the background for a really long time to free the PC hardware from having Windows as the dominant OS for gaming. They were working on the Steam Machine with the same principles, and they applied the lessons from its failures to the Steam Deck. People say that Valve does nothing and keeps winning, but if you follow the Linux and FOSS world, you'd know that they've been doing a lot in the background. PC symbolises the freedom and flexibility of hardware, and Valve aims to free it from Microsoft's software to make it a truly a free platform. This is something that Epic Games fails to recognize, which will put their game store in danger in the future.
Nice. I’ve been playing pirated games since my tape loading Atari back in the mid 80s where we’d use tape to tape cassette decks to make copies. I’ve given so much money to games companies over the years I don’t feel at all guilty of getting a few freebies but if a game is really great and a labour of love I’ll always support the publishers financially too.
I was a hardcore console gamer for 20 years. Was excited to buy the Series X when it came out. But as I've gotten older I've become less social and spend more time playing single player games or online games alone. Over the last 2 years I've really started to gravitate towards the PC. On PC I get true 4k/60+ which is something the Series X promised but really hasn't delivered on. I've also grown tired of the online subscription cost just to play online. That is bullshit and I've finally had enough of it. Lastly, the MOD support on PC is ridiculously cool. It adds new life to games that I would have otherwise grown bored with. I've been so happy playing on PC that I'm now in the process of selecting components for a new build specifically for gaming and I'm leaving console behind as my main gaming device.
I was exclusively a console gamer until 2023 when I bought a PC and I love PC. I am mad that I did not make the switch earlier. I haven’t touched my consoles since switching.
iv always been a console gamer and tried pc for the first time in 2020 and ended up going back to console cos I got the new Xbox at the time, my partner won a gaming pc 6 months ago and gave me a brand new monitor ,pc , mouse and keyboard a full rtx 4060 set up basically. I then discovered you can use controllers on pc so I can still enjoy my console games on the pc and use mouse and keyboard for my shooters and I haven't looked back at all. i love how you can customise a gaming pc and make it a truly personal rig
Anyone else feel the opposite? As I’ve gotten older, I’ve gravitated back to consoles. I do to much work on computers eight+ hours a day. Also, I’ve gotten tired of troubleshooting games. I just want my games to work and I want to relax. It’s unfortunate! I used to love PC gaming.
That's what the steamdeck is for, people who yearn for the simplicity of the console experience out of the box, while also having (most) of the freedom of PCs
@@Hash6624 yea the steam deck is cool but it’s a handheld system and it’s expensive. Still makes more sense for me to play my Xbox. Xbox is more powerful, has quick resume, and has a comfortable controller. I never game on the go. That being said, I’d be interested in a steam home console.
An adult gamer, for me PC gaming is not just playing, it's a hobby, the experience of assembling and upgrading your computer and enjoying the results... there is no chance of going back to consoles restricted by corporations.
@@uribak9144 for me, I could care less about the building aspect. In My 12 years of PC gaming, I’ve built three computers. I did not have fun putting them together. That’s just me though. I’m glad you enjoy it! Reason why I played pc games, was for the steam sales, performance, controls, and community. But now for me, consoles are good enough. Don’t want to sit at my computer when I can get 120 fps on halo with my Xbox sitting on a couch
Yeah I’m playing console more older I get. So much friction with PC these days. Launchers, drivers, connection to server issues (looking at you 2042). Feel like I have to brace for friction with PC. with console just press a button and your in a game.
Ironic. I’m a console gamer, grew up with them in the 90’s and still love my consoles. A couple years ago I invested in my first gaming PC. It has a 3080 and all the bells and whistles, but I still wasn’t use to playing games on it. Until recently. I bought Cyberpunk and have been loving playing it on my PC, along with checking out all the demos on Steam’s Next Fest and Future Games Show. I still love my consoles, but I think I’m finally seeing all the upsides to gaming on PC.
PC and Steam deck is a great combo, but I really like having physical disc copies that cant be taken away from me. You're absolutely right about being more careful about where you buy your library these days as weve seen publishers outright take content people have payed for to own.
I agree 100% but unfortunately, most services where you buy games are just digital storefronts where you buy a license to play the game. they just hide it deep in their TOS so you cant bring any legal action against them. Physical copies are the way to go!!
Made the switch to PC Gaming a few weeks ago… Tried playing my PS5 earlier today made it about 20 mins of Gameplay even though my Console was on for about 90 mins… Can’t do it anymore…. Here’s to never being Limited again!
PC gaming is great. I joined PCMR last year and I haven’t played my Series X since. For everyone new learn how to play on KBM. I have started playing games I would have never played. The freedom on PC is amazing
Literally I played the latest mafia game in my PC and out of curiosity I wanted to see that the integrated graphics could handle, and I was genuinely shocked, it looked begged than most console games I’ve played before which sounds crazy but integrated graphics have come a long way
Honestly with a backlog of 40 years of video games to play and emulate on pc, I rarely buy new pc games, sometimes some indies and maybe a big game one every 2-3 years like hogwarts or elden ring. But honestly pc gaming is at its peak at the moment.
There's nothing inherently wrong with wanting to own a console, the issue is having to deal with studios that refuse to stay in their own lane. There's no reason as to why games target 4K on consoles, or some form of checker-board, let alone pushing well beyond the means of the CPU capabilities. Were games, on consoles, targeting 1080p - 1440p with no compromises to performance, meaning it is 2024 and we're seeing more games release 30fps - This is just unacceptable. I don't blame anyone for wanting to ditch consoles, go straight to PC gaming, and this is coming from someone who still games on a 24" 1080p monitor. Give me all the framerates, and the best deals on games.
I don't feel like there is so much limitation using a Series X on a 4K TV... if a game only releases in 30 fps I simply play it on PC. Fortunately those are the exceptions.
I really feel like you were talking to me. Everything you said made sense. I built my first computer back in 2011, and it changed the way I game. I still love consoles because of how easy they are to use, but gaming on pc, and it's a whole new level: emulators, simulators, backwards compatibility, modding, ultra widescreen, 360 hz… Another gadget that made me feel the same is the Steam Deck. For me, it’s a game changer
Pc use: music creation/ video creation / movies/ emails/ data transfer/ karaoke/home entertainment/ writing/ online courses/ Web browsing/ shopping/ selling/ programming/ streaming
PCs and PC gaming is, at it's core, community and enthusiast driven. People are still playing Dwarf Fortress and populating Doomseeker and Freelancer servers. Modding has gotten way more accessible. It might be hyperbolic but looking at the current landscape it sometimes feels like the last bastion.
I used to solo game on Playstation and play with friends on PC. When I didn't have anyone to game with I realized I had no games to play solo on PC. It opened my world up to so many different games that I would never have played on Console. Definitely loving my time with it. Plus I got to say when you share a tv it makes a world of difference.
I have been pc gaming since 2016 and in my opinion I think 2016-2018 was best for pc gaming. steam sales where the best, great games were coming out, games were optimized, less greed and less microtransactions, way cheaper hardware, etc.
PC opens a lot of doors Consoles can't. Been an Xbox player most my life, but games I wanted were locked behind Exclusivity. PC gives me a chance at both Xbox and Playstation titles. Not having to pay to play online is cool too. Modding in particular gives lots of games extra replayability. For something like Halo: MCC, the Steam Workshop gives you a vast network of mods to choose from. PC's def something I'm going to invest more in for how much it offers.
I bought a nice PC for about $1300. The thing I love most is higher frames 90+ is so nice. I've become a lot more motion sickness sensitive over the years . Higher frames helps eliminate that by making things so much smoother. I run 120fps and love it. Also games are cheaper, more varied and there are more competitors in all spaces. The hardware, pre builts, game stores, they all have multiple competitors. If you own an Xbox you only get the Xbox store. I just got fallout 4 goty for $10 on gog. No other store, even Xbox had it that cheap. Also you are wrong about no issues for gaming. I've run into FAR more problems on my short time heavily pc gaming compared to console gaming.
PC gaming was always king. Yes what you can afford plays a role in the quality but what you could always do with a PC was leagues ahead of console. Still is and we are starting to hit two points in gaming , one consoles are having harder and harder time keeping up with developments and PC is going to expensive levels to get the top notch experience.
Pc and ps5 are my go to devices. I love ps exclusives and hate waiting for ports. But for games that come out to other platforms I use pc. So many people seem to think they must only play on one thing as if one platform is best for everything. It’s simply not true, there are so many different types of gamers. With different lifestyles different game interest, different levels of tech savvy etc etc. What’s best is what works best for you.
Agree, why do people care so much? Sometimes people are more concerned with WHERE you play, than WHAT you're playing. Let's talk more about games guys!
Still have my ps3 and ps4, had so many good times with irl friends and psn friends alike. Both consoles have been in storage for at least 6 months. Switched back to pc exclusively and haven't looked back.
I just found your channel after searching up “titanfall 2 2024” your videos are chill, but motivating. Thanks for making videos like the ones I will never forget. Super authentic. Much love from SLC.
PC gaming breathes so much fresh life into all video games from all generations. Way more than console-strict greed can in any remake they throw at you.
Legal pc gaming is at an all time low place. Hardware is ridiculously expensive and nobody can stop them from doing that. The only reason it can still be okay is if you pirate all your games
I don't know if I count for this but I recently bought a gaming laptop and it's been a blast. I know laptops are kind of eh in the community but I love it and barely touch my Series X these days. Modded Fallout New Vegas is such a blast and I love going back to the command and conquer series as well, a childhood favorite series of mine. I can't wait for the day when I get a full desktop PC, been a blast on PC gaming for the last month.
I have both, a Series X and an expensive gaming laptop. I appreciate that I can do more with my laptop, but there’s a few things I just wish PC gaming made easier. Sometimes just changing resolution I need to look up guides, dig in ini files, whatever. I appreciate that a console just knows to adjust to whatever TV it hooks up to.
I have been a PS Fan boy, played every console since the original PS. I recently got a PC with some decent specs. The combination of the superior performance as well as SONY/PlayStations anti-consumer behavior has been the final for me. Since I got the PC in June, I haven't touched my PS5. Zero regrets.
I'm a PC gamer since a kid, and bought a Series X some years ago, basically to play in the living room. Yes it's possible to setup PC gaming for couch play, but it's kind of a hassle (tried it), nowhere near plug and play as a console. And a Series X gives so much value for the price, silent, good performance, looks neat with a small form factor, well engineered. With Gamepass Ultimate I can play on PC and Xbox, and regarding your comments on ownership, I do buy some games on both platforms as well (and I also own a minimalist physical collection with just a few favorite classics) . I also use Xcloud and GeForce Now from time to time, if needed. This gives me many options, which I like. Not feeling completely stuck on a platform.
I chose to built a PC worth an arm and a leg, worth more than some people's first cars, but when I think about it, I use it every day for so many things, and it does it all super quickly and smoothly, it's worth it to me in the end.
Your thoughts about ownership are understandable, you should check out Accursed Farms' recent vids. He recently started a European Citizens Initiative that's focused on games that require connecting to a company server called Stop Killing Games. The goal is to make it so that, after the company decides that the game has reached end of life, that they'll be required to give dedicated server hosting software and/or patching the game to work offline. It's not anything that'll be retroactive, so games that are like that today wouldn't be saved, it's more about future games if anything so the developers have time to adapt to it. Definitely give it look if you can!
just building me a small form factor gaming pc to sit under my tv. besides the points you highlighted, i just enjoy the flexibility of the soft and hard mods you can make and the things you can do outside of gaming with a PC. To have the option to play my old games on my steam library, new triple A titles and emulatef some old school arcade games that I can tune to run to the specs of my TV (LG C1 Oled) was a big factor for me. My ps5 was great but it offered so many roadblocks to ticking all the boxes as a complete system. Helps that PS are now releasing a lot of titles on PC these days.
I’ve always preferred console over PC because, 1. It’s easier to get into, 2. I suck at PC controls, 3. I grew up playing console, 4. I’m spoiled when it comes to games, 5. I love the classics!
I mean yeah I agree PC can be a bit overwhelming to get into but once you get into it, it's very fun since you can do so much things but for casual gamer console is definitely the way to go.
Talking about prices. I just bought 15 older pc games from the early/mid 2000s i never played back in the days for just 45 euros. And all of them worked on my current 2022 system.
I really got into pc gaming last gen. I didn't have much money for a console at the time so I bought a cheap used gpu and a controller for my pc and I never looked back. The amount of games I had at my disposal was unmatched. I built a pc strictly for gaming last year and then I also built one for my best friend who wanted to get a PS5 instead and he's loving it. We've been playing Elden Ring with the Seamless Co-op mod which we would not have been able to do console.
been called a boomer by SO many people for saying how much Denuvo sucks ass (Im 24) so its a breath of fresh air to hear you talk about awful and inconvincible DRM is feels great
I switched to PC in December but have found myself recently going back to console either because I have the game on there already or it’s cheaper which is quite rare but it does happen sometimes. Also controller support is not there for some older games and PS3 emulation is still a bit iffy.. I bought Assassins Creed Black Flag cheaper for example. Playing it on PS5. I will definitely be going back to PC to play some games though but I’m happy to have both atm.
I just starting gaming on a laptop, 1080 p 300hz and I’m still getting used to playing on mouse and keyboard. I’m not used to 200 fps with instant response times for games like battlefield.
I think Xbox is a little better for ME. I love my pc but it kinda has alot of stupid issues. Like shaders... bios updates , I need help fr Xbox is plug and play
i played pc (mostly roblox, on its way out of its prime) on my family pc and got a laptop and played og battlefront 2 in high school but didn't really dive in fully until around 2017/2018 and haven't turned back
I actually grew up past modding at some point and hate anything that involves a second human being in gaming, plus most PC games are optimized for MS Office controllers, also known as Mouse+Keyboard, so I cannot fathom going back to PC after almost 20 years. Since early 90's, gaming for me has been about discovery, all this incosistent hoopla of modding and multiplayer that dominates the PC scene is so alien to me.
This must be an age thing. PC gaming - while looking the best it's ever been - is riddled with console ports and other console concepts brought over from platforms that couldn't hang - so they made up a bunch of crap and called it content, like challenges, collectables, and achievements. Now it infects PC gaming as the norm when that used to NOT be the case. Still, there's no way I would ever own a console today - including it's demands for online services.
Great video! I think for future reference though, you should list what games you are playing in these videos to give viewers more insight. Some of the games I've seen you playing in your videos look great to me but I have no clue what game it is so its a bummer.
Thank you and great idea. I'm now adding them to the pinned comment of each video as I think the video looks cleaner without the text. The games featured in this video are Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout 4, Elden Ring, Black Mesa, Bioshock, StarCraft 2, FarCry 5, Rage 2, Metro Last Light, Just Cause 4, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Celeste, Dark Souls 2, Metro Exodus
What you said game pass wouldn't work because people are moving to studios like Ubisoft sub service? Game pass is that but offers way more the games fore essentially the same price?
PC gaming has actually gotten to the point where it's too late for other platforms to catch up to its library. Even if you exclude emulation and obvious shovelwares, how could any console catch up with a platform with a library that spans 30+ years and hardware that is both backward-compatible and FORWARD-COMPATIBLE? Literally still the only gaming platform with forward-compatible hardware. The introduction of the gaming handheld PC devices in the last decade was the final dealmaker. Now you can bring that 30+ years of video games to play on the go. How can any game console compete with this?
@@johnnylawrence7509 1) Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic 2) Too many counterexamples, but since I only need 1 to prove you wrong: DOOM 2016 3) Ever heard of this thing called XIM Apex Mouse Adapter? That's the real state of online shooters on consoles now. You just don't know it because unlike the cheating programs that run in-memory on PC, this is an external peripheral and it's undetectable. Consoles have a worse cheating scene, but without the awareness that it's happening.
There's one thing console is better than PC at: the complete absence of micro stutters. Absolute performance is better on PC (higher framerates), but performance STABILITY is better on consoles. Also, 30fps looks acceptable on console, but downright horrific on PC because of poor framepacing. I'd switch back to consoles if I could disable TAA on them.
Thats absolutely not true? What makes you say that? I hear a lot of console players say this, but Ive never had one explain to me why they think thats true
@@DutchManticore It’s absolutely true. The reasons are there if you care to look into it, Digital Foundry put out a good video explaining it also. Long story short because consoles are made to do one thing, give lower level access to developers and are easier to optimise for it often (not always) results in a consistent 33.3ms frame time. PC whilst technically superior, is a lot more complicated and uses software layers the frame time delivery can vary wildly. 33.3>30.2>35.6>31.4 whilst the console ticks 33.3>33.3>33.3 and looks “smoother” at these low frame rates.
@@haylonix Oh I know about frametimes but you can smoothen the curve with 100% perfection on PC if thats what you want. A frame limiter set to below the 1% lows of your expected FPS will do that. For example if your GPU runs at 130fps in a game, but the 1% lows are at 109fps, then set your fps limiter to 100fps and your frametimes will be 100% flat and consistent.
Hey i just bought laptop with rtx 3050 and i never played that much pc games except gta 5 and fortnight can you recommend some good games so i can start getting into it
I switched to PC from PS4 back in 2017. Switched back to console last year. I just got bored on PC. I don't know if it's just me getting older or not. I just like having my games through one storefront along with all of my trophies in one list. Not a Steam list, EA list, Ubisoft list, etc. Still have my PC for Destiny 2 though.
@@BBKDRAGOON has that happened since .6's release? Legitimate question, not tryna be smart but, have seen plenty of other people do it buuuut usually they're smaller channels :p I even uploaded one like, 6 months ago and it got a few views. Even used some halo music in it so it got claimed for that but not striked for the content that was in it. I'll ask around to see if it's still an issue but I get being better safe than sorry 🫡
Pc Gaming is truly amazing. I built my first 🖥 by myself in 2020. Been using it ever sense, and just recently from content creation I became a TH-cam Partner!
I don’t get your “ownership “ point, mutahar likes consoles specifically for that reason cause you can buy discs lol. Anything you buy on steam comes with steam drm and gog is not completely drm free
If I don't own my digital games on steam, then it's the best rentals I've ever gotten. I have friends who have had their steam library for decades. So at the end of the day, I'd rather the affordability/convenience of digital games instead of the ownership of physical games that cost too much. Did this Mutahar guy also talk about the negatives of paying more for a physical games years after launch instead of a digital one? Just bought No Man's Sky for about $20 digitally. That game is still $50-$60 for the physical disc. Not to mention I got Ark Survival Evolved for FREE as a steam giveaway game. That game is still $40 for the physical disc. Did Mutahar mention how games are so much more affordable and FREE on the PC Gaming platform?
Can anyone recommend a good pc or laptop that can run modded Bethesda games? I’ve not had a computer since I was like 15 and I’m 28 now soooo custom built prolly a no go and not looking to lose an arm to pay for one
i changed from ps5 to pc in may this year (2024) after constent talk from, my brother and friends telling me get a pc bro . i decided ok let's see this garbage machine everybody want me to own . months later i have a full setup and not touching my ps5 at all pc is soo much better and i regret shitiing on it for years ... best decision i ever made you not limited at all ! i can play games and study and work and watch videos talk with friends etc etc ! pc is expansive at first but so worth it for the unlimited experiense plus online multiplayer is free
facts... I've been playing on console for about a decade now. Finally moving back to PC. Console gaming is dead. The fact that you have to pay for online play pisses me off the most. Then you have the overpriced remasters (like the GTA trilogy) that are buggy and not even better than the original (using mods)... For $500 i've decided to buy an RTX 3060 or 4060 laptop that will carry me for the next 5 years. I'll be playing at 1080p medium/high and with options like DLSS i think i can even hit 1440p 60, and 4k 30 on some titles. I'm planning to build a desktop later.
Except if you’re good and you play Warzone. Then everyone reports you for cheating and you get shadowbanned even though you’re not cheating the system just does it because you’re on PC and its a terrible reporting system.
PC gaming is definitely fantastic, but many people online, lie.... or they don't tell you everything. Console players fan boy and lie about consoles and PC gamer's fan boy and lie about PC. IF you are or were a console only gamer, and you make a jump too PC, you need the full truth about the swap. Firstly, many PC purists will say the usual, ''Don't buy a pre build , build your own, it is easy''. Right, firstly, bulls##t..... utter utter bullsh##t. This is something die hard PC owners say, who have been gaming on PC for years. 1. Most people, watch a PC build tutorial on here, think it is like building lego, then try a build for the first time and screw it up. 2. There are incredible companies, that will build a PC for you or have pre built PC's that vary in power that are absolutely brilliant and ideal for a first time user. Also. if you build your own, you need too update drivers etc, this is simple and straight forward, IF you know what you are doing. If you get a company too build your PC or get a DECENT pre built, it is all done for you and ready out the box. The other issue is, if you are someone that plays mainly shooters..... THINK very carefully before making the jump. The issue with online shooters and PC is, the cheat issue... it is rampant, and you can't turn off cheaters on PC, you are forced too play online with them. You will get the idiot PC purist that will say in their anal voice ''Cheating on PC is rare and console is as bad''. Again, bulls##t...... Cheats on console are RARE, so rare in fact, that professional streamers like MrProWestie, Tactical Brit, JackFrags and more, now play CoD on console, because they can turn off crossplay, and these are PRO PC streamers! Cheats on console, are hardware that you attach too your console, and they remove recoil or make semi autos fire full auto. Cheats on PC, are programs that run alongside the game, and give you advanced cheats such as invisibility, invincibility, head lock, wall hacks, fly above the map, below the map and even very advanced cheats that allow you too spawn with your loadout, in games like WZ and have unlimited ammo..... There are so many on PC. R6, BF1, BFV, BF2042, CoD, ARMA, D2, Tarkov and many more are riddled with cheaters, and believe me, I KNOW, because i am a PC gamer and it is ruined by these idiots. When a game won't launch on PC, it can be many reasons why, with a console it is as simple as Check internet Check console is updated/Licenses Check game is updated And that is about it.... With PC, there can be many factors involved, are the licenses of the game up too date, be that Steam, GOG.. whatever. Are your drivers up too date? Can your system handle the game in question? If it is an older game, you need another program installed too use it, have you got it? Have you got active protection on your PC running? I could list a load more. PC gaming is fantastic, the games available old and new, the settings you can make in game too customise your experience it is seriously on another level. But these PC purists make it out too be simple, easy and straightforward.... And if you have NEVER owned or played a PC before, it's anything but. There is a guy on here called DocDark 1985, he was a console fan boy and switched too PC because his chat said ''it was easy and way better''. Well the way better part was true, but he actually made a series on ''Console to PC what i wish i was told''. Watch that before you decide to take the plunge. It is 100% worth it, once you know what you are doing.... But it is a steep learning curve.
There's a reason why PC Players are the Master Race. Okay, jokes aside I've always been a PC only gamer. Explicitly so. People uses to buy consoles because a lot of the titles they developed wound up being console-only. Now that's no longer the case, and it shows. Most of Microsoft's exclusives are being played on Windows, not Xbox. Sony is also starting to move to PC. And, to be perfectly honest, the next console generation might finally kill the PlayStation and Xbox altogether. Microsoft is already mulling over pulling the plug on Xbox as a console and, while the PS5 sold gangbangers it's still nowhere near the success of the PS4. Add to that the fact most games are released buggy and unfinished (plus the DLCs are as expensive as ever) and waiting for a year or two to grab vidya cheap is not a bad option at all. The only standout is Nintendo, but Nintendo is doing Nintendo things, and I don't see their games coming to PC anytime soon. All in all, we're entering the age of PC supremacy, and it's not ending soon.
@@RicardoCarvalhoPT Really, nowadays, gaming PCs are far much easier to play. I bought my Gaming PC already built and all I had to do was power it up and download my preferred store to buy games from. Everything else was installed and ready. So the argument of console's advantage being plug&play is no longer relevant.
@DragonMasonHealer I do own a gaming PC. It isn't as user friendly as a console, not even close. If someone says otherwise, for me it just makes it clear that probably, that person doesn't have any kind of experience with current gen consoles.
@@RicardoCarvalhoPT That's incorrect. What exactly isn't user friendly with Gaming PCs? All of my games are simply press play and game. My drivers manage themselves. Also, let's not try and claim consoles are user friendly. I had to send in my console because it kept getting a disc read error message that I could not fix. Turns out the manufacturer needed to replace a part. A part that isn't available in stores. If my gaming PC has an issue, I can simply fix it myself. So claiming consoles are more user friendly is just false.
I think out of everyone Sony and Nintendo are doing subscription the smartest by restricting it to older stuff. It creates value while not hurting the all important new game sales. Microsoft, EA, and Ubisoft? They're fucked. Also, it's not just that Game Pass won't survive the next roll. I don't think Xbox survives the next roll. I think buying Activision Blizzard was a poison pill Xbox can't recover from. Give it 5 years and MS stops making consoles and Xbox is rebranded to Microsoft Games.
PC imo is super un-immersive, no vibration and everything is clicks and buttons. Something about that just doesn’t stack up to a controller, pulls me right out of the game which is a shame so despite having a beefy machine, I’ll always prefer to play on console plus there’s my trophies on PS5. Edit: Yes I can use the controller on there too but it’s more about knowing it’s an app running on a machine designed to do more than just game on, it’s like it’s a distraction.
Bruh. This argument doesn't make sense. You basically found a solution so how is this a problem? It's Sony's fault for not having proper ps controller support on pc. Connect xbox controllers is seamless. Well, to each and their own. Have a good day
@@Quazzi Good then. I fail to see how my comment is redundant. But if you say dual sense works perfectly well, doesn’t that contradict your original comment? There is no rule in the world which says you can only use keyboard and mouse on a pc. A lot of friends of mine use controllers on pc. If by no vibration you mean not getting vibration on your dual sense controller then that just validates my original reply. Xbox controller work out of the box with vibration and everything. I once tried DualShock 4 controllers to play some games and it didn’t support the vibration. Maybe it’s the same for dual sense.
@@ahorts37 Dualsense has all the working haptics and triggers, I just meant in general with PC gaming traditionally using KBM in combination with all the other things I mentioned feels less immersive.
Yeah. I mostly use keyboard and mouse but these days I got a controller and it's a different experience too. Now I play through the games with keyboard and then start over with a controller. With steam big picture mode I connect my pc to the tv and launch any game. I see your point where controllers are immersive in games especially 3rd person single player games.
For around the last 12 years PC was, at the most, $150 more expensive than a console to get the same performance on front. I don't know when you were in highschool, but chances are you were just believing in the popular opinion on PC gaming. PC gaming didn't change much since the beggining of the last gen. It has the same advantadges over consoles. Just a few new things, but it was a much better choice than a PS4 back when that console was released. Eventuslly we got people like Fringy, Rags, BulletBarry and Top Hats And Champagne (Falko), or just... me, in my main YT account, making videos answering to dumb comments about PC gaming. People are starting to see all the benefits of PC gaming now, which is different from "the weren't there before", because they were there for a really long time, and those who got a PC instead of an Xbox One or PS4 know this. And no, consoles don't make sense for most people. If that was true then most people would buy a console to play videogames instead of a PC, but most people buy PCs. Consoles have a lot of things to change before being what they used to be, which is a better product for the avarage gamer. They are like 10 times more expensive during a generation. They perform much worst, and they are outdated when it comes down to both hardware and software gaming tech (they actually just got their first game with Frame Generation), which sounds weird when you consider they were made to play videogames, yet they are really bad at running them.
The games featured in this video are Cyberpunk 2077, Fallout 4, Elden Ring, Black Mesa, Bioshock, StarCraft 2, FarCry 5, Rage 2, Metro Last Light, Just Cause 4, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, Celeste, Dark Souls 2, Metro Exodus
Thanks for adding this comment even a month after the video has been posted💯
Just switched from Xbox series x to a pc about 2 months ago haven’t touched my Xbox since. Pc is so amazing you can seriously do anything you want and games are so much better
Your to limited with consoles
I made the full switch from series x and it couldn't be a better time. I'm glad I made the switch as well
@@Martin23Kings_ check out body cam it’s coming out this Friday definitely worth the check out. Graphics and details are insane
It’s good but you get bored quick barely any new games to play
Yup Pc is definitely the way to game. There isn’t a point to get a console anymore. Games are to limited on console
I'm playing Ninja Gaiden black on Xemu
if buying isn't owning, then pirating isn't stealing.
Holy words.
@@sargonsblackgrandfather2072 amen
It's just the most malleable to the player’s desired experience. Steam’s library ain't nothin’ to scoff at either.
Theyre not gonna 'push' people into not owning it. Once youve 'sailed' you have it forever.
If you like physical, your statement makes no sense?
Made the switch to PC Gaming a few weeks ago… Tried playing my PS5 earlier today made it about 20 mins of Gameplay even though my Console was on for about 90 mins… Can’t do it anymore…. Here’s to never being Limited again!
ive an 2016 mid range pc,still playing my favourite games from time to time,Definetely the maximum gaming experience anyone can get.
PC gaming is great. I joined PCMR last year and I haven’t played my Series X since. For everyone new learn how to play on KBM. I have started playing games I would have never played. The freedom on PC is amazing
I built my first pc and my mouth was floor how gorgeous HL 2 and Batman Origins graphics were
Literally
I played the latest mafia game in my PC and out of curiosity I wanted to see that the integrated graphics could handle, and I was genuinely shocked, it looked begged than most console games I’ve played before which sounds crazy but integrated graphics have come a long way
Honestly with a backlog of 40 years of video games to play and emulate on pc, I rarely buy new pc games, sometimes some indies and maybe a big game one every 2-3 years like hogwarts or elden ring.
I played PC from 2004-2012 and waht i can say PC gaming today is the worst for multiplayer since 30% of players are cheating
This week i found my og 30gb video ipod and its loaded even with movies. Its so cool
Best part is PS ports are starting to be day and date.
The only thing I struggle with now is I have so many games idk what to play and I end up playing nothing
Omg same
Just choose one and play it. Forget the rest for a second ☺
Amazing video, i thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you. I'm a pc gamer to my core. I love pc gaming.
Pc gaming in itself is great. Cheaters being rampant in games i enjoy playing though really hurts the experience
just building me a small form factor gaming pc to sit under my tv. besides the points you highlighted, i just enjoy the flexibility of the soft and hard mods you can make and the things you can do outside of gaming with a PC.
The best time to be a gamer for sure, so many great games.
I’ve always preferred console over PC because,
1. It’s easier to get into,
2. I suck at PC controls,
3. I grew up playing console,
4. I’m spoiled when it comes to games,
5. I love the classics!
I mean yeah I agree PC can be a bit overwhelming to get into but once you get into it, it's very fun since you can do so much things but for casual gamer console is definitely the way to go.

Coop works fine in vanilla. Or can miyasaki not design games now all of a sudden
@@Wierie_ we prefer to play with the co-op mod. It's more straightforward and practical.

I’m not used to 200 fps with instant response times for games like battlefield.
yeah it's great with getting more expensive with every new gen truly mindblowing ^^
I think Xbox is a little better for ME. I love my pc but it kinda has alot of stupid issues. Like shaders... bios updates , I need help fr Xbox is plug and play
Word been pc gaming since 2020 but I enjoy my Xbox more lol unless I’m playing cod
We can have both. Love my Series X and my PC. Each has it's use case.
I agree with the chill vibes. The only point of console gaming is video game ownership and since ownership is dying, might as well transition to PC
i played pc (mostly roblox, on its way out of its prime) on my family pc and got a laptop and played og battlefront 2 in high school but didn't really dive in fully until around 2017/2018 and haven't turned back
I actually grew up past modding at some point and hate anything that involves a second human being in gaming, plus most PC games are optimized for MS Office controllers, also known as Mouse+Keyboard, so I cannot fathom going back to PC after almost 20 years.
I still use an iPod classic almost daily haha.
What PreBuilt pc brands would you recommend?
GeForce NOW is enough for me with my series X 😊
You also forgot that sometimes we get good games for free through something like the Epic games store.

I don’t get your “ownership “ point, mutahar likes consoles specifically for that reason cause you can buy discs lol. Anything you buy on steam comes with steam drm and gog is not completely drm free
Most consoles are going digital now
But the game is still stuck on the console. true preservation will always be on pc
Steam is great buy games and you can also share to family members or friends.

i changed from ps5 to pc in may this year (2024) after constent talk from, my brother and friends telling me get a pc bro . i decided ok let's see this garbage machine everybody want me to own . months later i have a full setup and not touching my ps5 at all pc is soo much better and i regret shitiing on it for years ... best decision i ever made you not limited at all ! i can play games and study and work and watch videos talk with friends etc etc ! pc is expansive at first but so worth it for the unlimited experiense plus online multiplayer is free
The problem with gamepass is once the games make it on there I can own them for $20 too. So why subscribe for months and not own anything
I'm planning to build a desktop later.
thinking coming back to pc gaming after had to sell it for money when i moved out 3 years ago, been playing on ps4 for half a year
pc gamepass is great aswell theres many games for only 10 pounds a month
what game is at 0:50 please
Pretty sure its one of the Half-Life games
It’s Black Mesa
whats the game at 4:45?
Rage
Why it's actually the worst time to play: Cheaters are rampant everywhere lolol
When a game won't launch on PC, it can be many reasons why, with a console it is as simple as
Check internet
Check console is updated/Licenses
Check game is updated
And that is about it....
Gamepass is a curse for Xbox, all the hi-fi rush sales was from Gamepass, and it got shut down because of it, it’s a lose lose situation!
Emulators baby!!!
I disagree with you about game pass failing, it's because of game pass I haven't purchased a game in a year or 2.
Consoles aren’t plug and play anymore
Have you tried to setup a console lately? You can't go wrong, really.
Wdym?
Overpriced and has way too many flaws that ruin it that people are too idiotic to even mention or talk about
I think out of everyone Sony and Nintendo are doing subscription the smartest by restricting it to older stuff.
Give it 5 years and MS stops making consoles and Xbox is rebranded to Microsoft Games.
first
Thanks
Have a good day
@@ahorts37 Dualsense literally works seamlessly too, you just made a completely redundant comment.
