Current gen consoles are at this point almost pure off the shelf components X86 PCs. There's almost no proprietary hardware in them anymore. Consoles now are just budget PCs with very limited custom operating systems.
@@DenofOkami Yeah, that's my combo. Love it. Still got my older Nintendo's too: jailbroken, discs ripped and emulated. And I couldn't sell my Xbox fast enough once I built my gaming PC in 2020, too.
Ive switch 6 years now and i aint looking back at consoles again subscription is the devil plus i dont has to pay to play online plus all games and emulation is free at my fingertips from torrents
@@bighousemusic628 But you can sell your physical games again... means you get money back and online is a non issue (if you erally need it). For f2p stuff it is free in many cases. If a game is like 9,99 cheaper on steam at release, chance is high you can get a physical version for the same price on console (or even cheaper), but with the ability to sell the game again. Rise of the Ronin for example was way cheaper phyiscal compared to digital and i was able to get 40 back! So even if a game is older and you not get a lot, it adds up over time.
Main reason I wanna switch is because I hate having to buy a game and ALSO buy a subscription just to play the game online with friends, its flat out absurd. PC also offers less restriction and more freedom, like installing mods or being able to play both PS and Xbox exclusives without havinb to be on their respective consoles. Consoles simply have nothing to offer me besides more portability and the fact Im gonna miss it a little.
Oh yeah that's also the benefit of having a portable laptop is that you can play those games on those laptops if you want to or you can emulate your games from whatever system you want on your laptop anyway instead of having multiple consoles at once and then subscription plans makes it even harder for you to want to play a game besides that sooner or later more people will become PC gamers anyway
Portability? I'm just confused console isn't ment to be portable unless it's a switch which are trash all of Nintendo is trash. A laptop is very portable and best way to go is a desktop and a laptop or a steam deck so you can play in bed or on the patio.... Play anywhere s stop at Dunkin and play some games also. I've noticed there's more demos I thought demos died but not on PC just played ffxvl
@@Reaverstudios420 I'm talking about the ease of moving a console (PlayStation or Xbox) rather than a whole PC setup. Nobody casually moves their entire setup from room to room yk
@@hill417 most people don't move their console room to room either tho. Laptops are still computers and some people just have a laptop and a controller
As someone who switched to PC quite a while ago the biggest issue I had was the graphics settings and input settings and understanding them. Anyone else who is making the switch and you find your mouse feeling just off, make sure you have vsync and mouse acceleration turned off. Literally took me years to narrow down that single graphic and mouse setting.
@@DenofOkami If you have monitor with AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync then VSync on is just not needed, but even when you don't have such monitor then it is still worse while its on - frame drop in some games because of this single settings is just masive!
gonna be honest, I tend to turn vsync on. Why? my monitor stops at 60 FPS and I dont really do competative FPS gaming, so why stress my hardware for anything Im not gonna see?
@DenofOkami Pretty sure it's for power saving I play alot of old games so I'm getting 800+ fps in them. However it's noticeable the difference between 165 fps on a 165 hz monitor and 800fps on a 165hz monitor just because the frames are fresher so I leave it off
@@LanceSuperflyCunningham Yeah. Since Playstation latest exclusives all coming to pc sooner or later and nintendo didn't show any signs to do the same, getting the switch is definitely worth it.
@@LanceSuperflyCunningham with steamdeck, you can emulate switch games with higher frame-rates than the switch basically transforming your steamdeck into a better nintendo switch.
Went from ps5 to pc for a year. Sold my pc for money to bills. Now I’m back to ps5 and im loving how simple everything is, but I do miss some things about pc. I can always come back to pc with a fresh build In the future.
That’s understandable and that’s the selling point of PS5 it’s just simple and I love that but you get a pretty great gaming experience you’re not missing out on a lot but I understand why you feel that way…I have been thinking of doing a video on why console is better then PC will have videos on way pc is better and one on why console is better
Been playing console since 86 and I switched to pc 4 months ago and it was the best decision I ever made.. currently have the ps5 and Xbox but since I went to pc the consoles are soley decrotive even cacnceled psn and Xbox subscriptions. There is a learning curve and do your research before building your pc.
If you own an Xbox & now have a Gaming PC if you have 10 or 11 you can get Game Pass Ultimate and use it between your PC & Console great way to play a lot of Microsoft titles without paying full price all the time to play.
I really love not sitting anymore on a desk after work. I’m not young anymore and have done all the hardcore PC stuff. Upgrading every year, running a community of 50k MMO players etc. I just love the simplicity of kicking back, having a cold one, and playing on a console. It’s also more social when you have kids. If everyone is on a PC, it’s not the same. Yes PC looks and plays better. But games with stories I cry for on my PC, I’ll still cry for on my console. Graphics isn’t everything. We just need proper 60 and 120 FPS consoles. 30 is dated. Once Steam OS comes out and I don’t need to install Bazzite and hack a PC out for my living room. I’m all in. I want a proper console experience with PC ecosystem in my living room.
I just did a updated video if you wanted to check it out but that’s the same thing I brought up about working and and nice as PC is console definitely has some big plus’s and I’m thinking of doing a console related video!
You’re right, playing laidback with a controller feels different, relaxed. I like the experience so I use the Steam Big Picture mode. Have it on startup, its like switching on a console, Steam sure does it all.
u can make ur pc into a console wit various programs. u been able to sit on ur couch, crack a cold one, n play wit ur controller on pc for years my man, where u been?
@@teh0wnz0r76 You misread me. In my post I already said I use Bazzite. I’ve tried others too. I was lamenting the fact that a PC Console is still not mainstream and thus, not cost effective. If you see the horizontal cases on Amazon you’ll know what I mean. I’m just saying it can better.
Emulation is a huge reason to go pc. Huge. Combine this with game streaming tech like parsec and moonlight using the Bigbox frontend and you are playing pretty much everything you could ever want however you want to play on whatever screen wherever.
Welcome to the PC MASTER RACE sir. I got away from console before the series x and ps5 released. Going from 30 fps to over 100 in a lot of games WHOA. I’ll pay a premium every 6-8 years to have this in my life lol. Built my own pc, I’m more than competent to build another one and sell it etc, actually have a co worker who wants to pay me to build one.
That’s what I don’t get about people that has a PS5 and buy a PS5 pro lol that money could get you started on your PC budget and like you said you just upgraded every so often but you will always have the best looking and running games but thats a whole nothing topic lol
very good. a lot of people suggest switching between pc and console whenever there's a bad launch of either, but this is the first video i've seen of someone documenting a switch. much more videos about switching between operating systems
Thanks man I’m glad you seem to like the content, I tried to keep it as real as I can and be as detailed as possible but I love consoles and PC so they will both play a factor in my life but jumping to PC is a big move and your right I don’t think people really explain the switch over process or it’s just super bias 😂
PC gaming feels more expensive upfront but once you realize games are much cheaper, online multiplayer is free compared to $100 a year for no reason, and any game you buy will run on almost any PC you get forever.
Oh it should be easy when you open the Xbox app just login with the same account you use on Xbox the same for the windows store. Most of the stuff will happen automatically
I've reached a point in my life where doing EXACTLY what I want to do any any given moment is worth the effort it takes to do it. Pc is where it's at. Hopefully Microsoft can launch a gaming front-end for PC. That's all I want.
Sold my ps5 and xbsx and went for a 4080 super build with dual monitors. Game pass is on pc and Sony is releasing more on pc now. Its clear that pc is The future. And if i wanna play on my tv i just plug in my xbox controller and a hdmi cable. Voila and done 😊
Bro I can’t even hate your so right having a 4080 your kinda set and I just got done working on a video but if you have a fire stick you can even play Xbox on that now 😂
@@DenofOkami Yeah man. I miss playing on 165hz and higher and The pc communitys so Great. It wasent cheap but this rig will hold me for 4 years easily. Buying a ps5 pro when gta 6 drops. Cant miss that game for nothing. 🤣
20 year pc gamer here . Consoles will never be gone . The hassle with pc is way to much for most people . Ive never played a pc game in my entire life where I start it , and hit play . I always had to check for graphical issues , bugs , tweaks and so on. Currently have a setup with a normal 4080 in it but selling rn.
The oceans of games is open on pc free without steam and epic we have steamunlocked torrent and soooo much plus no need to pay subscription fee to pay online plus we can download a phisical copy of any games to store forever so yeah pc is king everyday
Ive just recently switched from console to PC the price of the PS5 pro made my mind up. Why would i want to spend £800 on pretty much the same thing i already have so i spent a few more hundred and got a pc
If you want to stay on controller, try gyro controls. I know it's weird as hell and a little hard to get used to, but I swear it's the next best thing to mouse & kb.
Good vid. I work all day on pc so for relaxing I love my Xbox. Another thing with pc is the setup and random problems that show up. For me it’s just easier to play console. That being said I know I’m not having the best experience possible. Good vid.
This is a good point since I have been considering moving to PC and this has been one of my concerns but also needing to keep up with decent hardware. Console is turn on and play everytime.
I saw the writing on the wall when the PS4 Pro came out. I built my PC in 2017 and upgraded my graphics card in 2020. New games like Star Wars Outlaws still run amazingly, and I won't have to upgrade for a while. Better than buying the PS4 Pro, then PS5, then PS5 Pro. Also, I can't believe how console players still tolerate 30fps.
try PC exclusive games. like anything from RTS genre. like age of empires and starcraft. entire genre of games that cannot be effectively ported to consoles because of control schemes.
Me and my wife love survival games and because of that PC is definitely the way to go for some reason there not a lot on console or if they are it’s limited
interesting to hear this perspective as somebody whos a life long pc gamer that never really could find a use case for a console also, i spotted STALKER in that steam library, u got great taste 😁
Only reason for me to maintain a console is MLB the Show for 3-4 months every year. Rocking my 4090 for all other games, expensive, yes ! Now the ability to customize and upgrades down the road when I like to is another PRO.
One of your primary reasons to keep on console, playing on a bigger screen and co-op on a bigger screen, it can also be done on pc. You can connect your pc to more than 1 screen. You can also plug in your pc to the same screen you have for youe xbox. If you don't want to move the whole pc, you can run an hdm from your pc on the desk to youe big screen. You may also stream to your screen and even to your phone if you want to.
Oh yeah I bring this up in an updated video and go more in to it this video was more base level to be real if I just got a steam decks and some docks I would be good….at the same time….i wouldn’t be able to play GTA 6 on launch day 😂 but really that’s kinda why I like having everything because I never really care about exclusivity I don’t really even look to see what something is dropping on…but also I’m really thinking about doing the steam deck thing and some docks
I switch from xbox series x to pc but still kept my xbox and glad I did because they work well together, there’s many titles where you can resume progress from either end and it’s nice to kick back on the couch every once in a while rather than be in front of a computer in an isolated room. There’s pros and cons, Pc has more pros but still can’t deny the pros that consoles offer as well. Just have both 🤷♂️
A Gaming PC can go anywhere a console does. Not only are there builds that are relatively portable like a console is, there are actually portable Gaming PCs that can be played on the go. My Gaming PC is played like a console in the way that I can play it on a big screen TV in the living room. Does not need to actually be by a desk. Though I do agree that people should own multiple platforms. Not sure about an Xbox and a Gaming PC since they both share the exact same game, though. . .
I will say as a person that has everything if you already own an Xbox and have the fund to jump in to PC it’s nice to have one in one room and then the other in another room and don’t have to move anything around just sit at your PC and other days sit in your living room Xbox is there and so is your progress so I can see why some people would have both..even tho I’m more of a get a PC and a PS5 or switch for example I can see why would also go Xbox
Have you considered getting mini PCs for the other TVs? They may not handle the AAA titles very well, but the casual games should play just fine. As a bonus, you can set up your own retro box.
i actually just recently started building my first PC for a few reasons for starters, although i love my switch and its exclusive games, i also wanted to play the stuff that isn't on the switch i thought about getting the Series XS or a PS5 for awhile, but my gf has a PC she plays on and i want to play games like Guilty Gear with her so i decided to build a PC instead, on top of the fact that instead of having to wholly replace my PC in a few years, i could just upgrade it once in awhile and it would more than keep up with the consoles
One I appreciate you so much for the sub and I appreciate you also that you liked the video!! I’m legit playing hellblade 2 right now as we speak to do a video on it that should be out tomorrow but what do you think of it right now and did you like the 1st one?
The first one was cool but 2 was visually stunning I will tell you what I thought about it after you play it I don't want to give any spoilers to you lol
I got hooked on PC back in 2013 playing Warframe on intel intergrated graphics. 😂 I just love how versitile and convient PC is. I can do everything I could ever mostly really want to do on one machine. Also having a wide range of options for displays is awesome. I prefer a two monitor setup personally.
Sweet setup man and love the videos as always keep up the great work you will go far i feel it lol also you brought out a lot of good points I was thinking about switching myself
I was a hardcore console player since the days of the master system right up to the 360, i switched to pc and honestly i don't why i didn't do it sooner, you can do so much more with a pc and gaming like running custom builds of games, mods, cheats, but its the mods i like because they can really make a game so much more enjoyable, take Beamng Drive for example that game is only available on pc and the mods for that game are insane from cars to tracks it just makes playing games on the pc so much more fun, also my pc is one big emulator hub i have all the consoles i ever played under one roof and the great thing about it is the old game i played as a kid you can tinker with them to make them run smoother at higher fps and upscaled graphics with higher resolution, naa pc is where it is for me, the only downside to pcs is the cost of building a half decent one i tend to to add little updates to mine like now my graphics card is getting a bit to old and struggling to run some newer games so next month i plan to upgrade it.
Mods and emulations are a big one for me like you said you can do so much more and your not limited to things like you are on console sadly and I’m with you I legit wish I just did this sooner
I own both, first i built pc 4 years ago, hardly played any game there, bought ps5 last year and i am enjoying gaming in it, played exclusives, i like the controller and i like owning game discs, steam does feel official to me and i do not feel like actually owning the game, besides the ease of using ps5 no hassles, just plug and play. Its my opinion
PC gaming since '95. I have my PS4 and like it a lot, but I'm a PC Gamer. Loads of games on loads of launchers. Besides obvious Steam, EA Desktop App, UbiSoft Connect, Epic Store - I also buy games from GOG and use that when I need games w/ DRM-FREE (just install and boot), don't want to run forced client-app's (like Steam, Rockstar Launcher, etc) in the background and especially if I'm mobile and can't get an Internet connection somewhere (I used to have that issue a lot at my grandparents' house, when they were alive; they were old school and had no Internet - so mostly played DRM-FREE GOG games there).
Oh okay wow I didn’t think about that i always knew GOG was DRM free but didn’t think to much about it because my computer is always on the network and if my internet goes out I have a pretty strong hotspot but the point you bring out about the taking it on the go with no internet is a good example I still have a strong hotspot but we do go to a cabin from time to time and even though I still have internet I can see where this is useful!
This is funny, because I recently started looking into getting a PC. I already own a xbox series x, ps5 and switch oled, but I no longer play online because most of my friends move to PC and MH wilds coming out next year, it will struggle on the consoles. But so far im thinking a Ryzen 7700X(8 cores DDR5) with Radeon 7800xt for a build of around 1200, but not 100% sure on yet.
If you have the funds to do it I would make the switch it will last you a lot longer I do full monster hunter wilds will be okay on console (not sure if they are using the RE engine for it) but if you do get it on console as you know with cross play and discord everything will work with your friends but like like I said if you have the funds to get the PC version and like @adambasri3397 said check you PC centric
I switched over from pure console (latest is ps5) to hybrid console and pc gaming and I do love the diversity i have in gaming and when u invest in a decent rig.. its does have advantages and some disadvantages as well.. as an adult .. u can do both
yea the BIGGEST negative for me has been gm sharing. having to buy it multiple times for each person wanting to play simultaneously sucks. its not as bad for me. bcuz im not a day and date guy. ive NEVER paid $60 for a gm. console or PC. so if i get a gm at 70-90% off. buying it 2 or 3X is still less than paying full price. as for PC connected to every TV. just remember they all dont have to be $1K builds to have an enjoyable experience. i have some $350 Amazon PCs. and have upgraded old office PCs cheaply.
@@DenofOkami Might be worth just getting a Steam Deck and multiple docks. Just plug into any tv or even play portable. Don't need to get individual devices for different rooms.
biggest problem on pc is windows itself it was good back in like windows 7 days but now its horrid why most hope lies on valve with linux to eventually take over
The reason to get a PC is because it will offer better performance for the same price if you shop around for non brand name pre built computers. AND the main reason is you have access to all of the non AAA games. The most interesting games like star citizen, escape from Tarkov, used to be DayZ (still far superior control wise in PC) and many more are only found on steam. Steam made PC gaming what it is. And the epic store is great because it’s adds competition, but it’s UI is horrible and I’d never trust anything from tencent
PC and Nintendo for the foreseeable future for me. Plus emulation for the old consoles & old pc games If I feel like playing consoles. Best performance, best graphics, pc exclusive dlc(ie: terminator resistance, cyberpunk etc...), more options, free online play, mods, cheaper prices ...etc plus you can do a lot more with a pc than a console. I have a decent pre-built gaming pc that I will eventually upgrade , but I think eventually I am going to build my own pc in the future.
Yeah in a lot of respects that’s kinda all you need now days so much is coming to PC I understand why a lot of people have setups like you and don’t get me started on mods lol
I have a PC but still play with my other consoles (PS2, PS3, PS4, Switch, and Series X) only for physical games. When physical games go away, I'll go more to my PC.
@@DenofOkamiand another benefit to that is that you can reverse your death in emulations where safe points weren't even a thing in video games so now you can start over from wherever you want to start from instead of starting all over again when you lose all your lives oh yeah and the modding community they really help improve the games that you playing a lot like Sonic 3 air which is the definition of way to play Sonic 3
I own a gaming PC and an ASUS ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme) mainly for emulating games before the Ps3-era It's not that I don't dislike consoles. for long consoles were my main platform, but I do enjoy modding games a lot and most consoles don't really make that possible as an option for games on their platform.
While PC gaming isn't perfect, it has so much more value proposition compared to consoles. I see more people are finding out. Recently I started to upgrade my specs. Till then was content with my i7-2600k and gtx970. Had no desire to play 4K, so for 1080p 60fps gaming I had plenty of games to go through.
So that’s my issue I was playing everything in 4k and for some games was great other games like dragons dogma 2 it would chop up so bad it took me a minute to realize it was the 4K that was causing the issue when I took it down to 1440P it ran so smooth
I've never had a console, gaming on TV is very rare for me, so I can just... Bring my PC to living room for it. Or with lower spec games, do it with Steam Deck I don't like the idea that you need a strong PC to game. I was stuck on a laptop with integrated graphics, and I had a good time with Indies I now play on Deck
I mean I’m running a 3070TI and I wouldn’t count that as strong myself so I’m with you on your thinking and to be real a steam deck with some docks your good to go lol
@@DenofOkami 3070TI is generally believed to be midrange, and 1060 ~ 4060 are considered low end... Even low end ones are competitive with consoles at 1080p, and the scalers are becoming better by the year I got a good deal on used 3090 for as much as a new 4070 (chose 3090 for more VRAM) and R5 7600, Now my monitor is my bottleneck so I watch for OLED prices dropping. I squeezed all the power I could out of my PC budget limit, and I feel a lot of PC gamers end up doing the same, but my point was that none of this is needed to have fun I ran older games on used work laptops before building my Tower of Power, and I still play games from 2000's on it. Hell, we have a joke in PC community that we don't upgrade to play new games but to play old ones we have thousands of hours in faster Welcome to the community!
@@DenofOkami 3070TI is firmly in midrange, and even "entry level" 1060 ~ 3060 are still very performant. I play heavily modded Skyrim VR on an RTX 4090; it's like being in a customized alternate reality. I just can't get the gaming experience I need on a console.
i got a ps5, nintendo switch, plus ps4 and 3 and used to have an xbox one s. i mainly play on my pc and keep the other consoles in my bedroom, getting ready to move my switch to my desk since i'd like to play it more
Consoles can cost the price of a decent graphics card alone. Yes am aware consoles struggle to hit 4k 60 fps but some of us are too emersed in the game to notice high resolution blades of grass
I'll be honest, I love having the prettiest graphics, and when I play a game, I crank the settings all the way up. However, at the same time, I'm content with my Xbox Series X and PS5. When it comes to PC gaming, ease of use is more important to me. I've actually been planning an updated video on this topic because there are AAA games that still run better on consoles than on PC. But, as I mentioned, I intend to break all of this down in a new video.
Oh naw I didn’t feel you was I actually really appreciate your opinion personally I don’t get the hate other people have anyways almost everything is cross play cross say and even though some experiences may be better I don’t feel their drastically different. It’s all about just having fun and loving what you love but no definitely keep it coming out like I said I love your opinion.
Ain’t gonna lie. The only thing I’m stuck on console with is physical games. Idk why but I love physical games and have the copy in my head. I acknowledge they aren’t really relevant but I can’t help it.
I personally love them as well that’s why I have a stack of old ones behind me in all my videos I could get a lot of them on steam or emulation but I love having the disk and case
@@DenofOkami yea PC is really the best deal overall it’s just expensive to get started. At least with a PC worth buying. Both of my boys have cyber powers that were $700 a piece last Christmas. They haven’t had any issues but they only play Fortnite and use discord.
Just watch out for the dark side of PC gaming aka Sim Racing, well its not the dark side but it can get pretty expensive if you go deep in to the hobby of Sim Racing as PC opens up a huge range of hardware not available to consoles.
Oh I thought about sim racing but I would want that to be it’s on setup so no clue when imma do that but I do plan on starting up new gaming pc build soon
News to me, but you know what? Go for it! Never understood the logic that says "you switched platforms so you have to remove the old one from your life." Seriously, you have both. ENJOY both.
i'm stuck with pc because there are close to none of RTS and base building games on console. played stronghold, loved it, played for thousend hours (no joking) then i discover total war (shogun ftw), then bannerlord, then lot other smaller hidden gems like kenshi, undertale, DRG, and i was like "that's it, pc is for me" lol.
I love RTS games so imma check some of these games out I even like games like aliens dark descent I own it on Xbox but switch to PC much better even tho I don’t think that game counts as a RTS
I played only on PC from 2001 until 2018 (Spidey for PS4 was the culprit) now I have the three consoles and my old PC, that all have a place, sadly I found my right with switch just now
now steam allows you to share and play at the same time. if you got a cheaper pc or mabe even on a smart tv you can stream a game from you higher end computer
Wait wait wait since when!? 😂 if that is true that’s awesome and I need to set this up the only way I seen this is if you have more then one license you paid for
Man if you mostly play single player games or multiplayer ones that don’t use kernel-level anti cheat, I’d recommend switching to Linux. Linux sounds really intimidating to those that don’t understand it much, but honestly some distros like Mint are much easier to set up and use than Windows without all the driver and OS issues. You don’t even really have to worry about drivers since they’re built in to the kernel and update when you update your OS, unlike Windows. Also if you connect controllers through bluetooth it just works so much better than Windows. The simplicity of Linux makes games even more enjoyable imo.
I'm married to my PlayStation because of my trophies. I also don't need games to run better than they do on console. I finally got a PC mostly for streaming and some games that aren't on console. Also, a lot of games that do tests, like Marvel Rivals, keep it exclusive to PC
lol nothing wrong with loving your PS5 and you don’t really have to switch the best “system” is the one that works for you and I feel you I’m the same when it comes to achievements I do have a lot of trophies but my achievements are MUCH higher just because I been working at it longer
the thing is, console gaming separates you from your setup, i work on my computer so being able to separate things makes it a lot better, still im just waiting for the ps5 pro to come out, i really want 4k 60fps
you should try connecting your computer to the tv (with the option of making the tv the primary display automatically) and use steam big picture (there are add ons to integrate games from other launchers as well). I have a similar setup so I can have a single machine but the experience of 2 different setups
If you happen to get the chance, I recommend trying gyro aim as a legitimate method of aiming in conjunction with the analog stick. It gets a lot of crap from the Wii days, but it's actually really good if you have the right settings and give it a chance.
I just got a PC today, not sure if I want to keep my switch and PS5 I probably will but no need to upgrade to PS5 Pro. I am a network admin but I never get the argument “I work in front of a computer last thing I want to do is come home and sit in front of a computer” for me last thing I want to do is come home and game at all 😂 I wait a few hours or when I have some days off.
@@DenofOkami yeah I’m going to do that at least I have something to game on the tv when I want to sit back and play on the couch. I am getting an Xbox controller for pc though, got some reason the PS5 one seems laggy.
Made the switch to pc from console about two years ago and I’m having a blast. I feel like I have so much more freedom. And I can also play multiplayer games with friends and I don’t have to pay for a subscription just to play online. Oh and let’s not forget about modding. All my ps5 does nowadays is collect dust.
Had a ps5 for four years, the controllers durability is horrible. Ive been through like 7. I thought it was a problem with me having dirty hands or something so for my newest one i made sure to wash my hands before gaming and still had the same problem with stick drift after 2 months. On top of that i saw the ps5 pro prices and realized i can just build a pc for like $1k that can play any game ever basically
If i can recreate ps5 on pc most likely going to switch if i can build pc for around same price either 500 or 600 maybe 700 if does same as console like 4k or 1440p with 120 fps
You kinda can most of Sony games are on the PC now and you get all the PlayStation controller features on PC as well. The only thing that you don’t have is day one PlayStation games all the time sometimes you do but not all of them so if that’s not a huge issue for you then you’re pretty much good to go, but as long as you have a pretty good graphics card, you can have a better system than the PlayStation five pro easily that will probably last even past the PlayStation six to be honest
@@DenofOkami Well since i posted this comment i got gifted a PC which mostly gonna use it for multiplayer games and leave ps5 for single player games but the things is i dont know if this pc for sure can run black ops 6 at medium high settings at 144 fps with no major drop on fps you know to stay around there
If your a collector that makes a lot of sense or not dealing with DRM on some games this was a little easier for me because I gave up on physical games back on the Xbox one and PS4 generation
You’ll be back once you find the headache you have to deal with over time with PC. PC isn’t something you just jump right into you have to have the patience and knowledge to deal with it and even then it doesn’t matter if you have the best gaming PC In the world, if the game isn’t made properly and you have bad ports which is very common right now at the moment,it won’t make any difference than against a high end console. Because most games are made for console first then pc which means you don’t get the best version of that game for pc.
Yeah so I swear months ago early this year and I have to say it’s not that bad I have yet to run in to really any bad ports I think the worse and it’s not much was dragons dogma 2 and the frames would drop more then on console but it wasn’t like it was unplayable or anything and for the most part their software on the computer that does all the work for you when it comes to optimizing your games so there’s not a whole lot you have to do anymore and it runs automatically so for me because I have a Nvidia GPU if you download the Nvidia app it will by default. Do all the background work in settings changes for you and it actually works surprisingly well I was actually shocked about that and then with the modeling community you can even make the game perform better than the developers even intended sometimes and with using apps like vortex for example, you don’t have to know how to mod the computer kinda does it on a tone you just click on what you want and it just downloads it but yeah, it’s been working pretty great so far at the end of the day I still have my consuls too I didn’t throw them out or anything. I still play on my PlayStation still play on my Xbox, but they’re still so much more you can do with PC and that’s the biggest thing for me personally. I personally can’t see myself switching back at the same time. I never fully switched away.
Make sure you're getting a Ryzen 9 9950X desktop CPU if you're doing editing. If you're only doing gaming get a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU. And for a GPU, get either a NVIDIA 4080 Super and if you dig deep get an NVIDIA RTX 4090. What ever you do, don't cheap out.
Man my PS5 or XBOX series X Can’t as well and I’m mad about that like just push out the update there games support it just not the system like what is that!?
I’m wanting to hop into the pc placement for better graphics and just to have options plus steam being cheaper. But yeah still not sure where to start all of the notion of graphics cards and other things are just confusing. Plus hearing pre-builds can have issues with cheaper parts. So I wanna make the jump but still figuring out what to do about it.
I’ll be real with you I would wait till the 50’s series comes out and get a 40 series because I’m sure it will be cheaper and the 40 will run all your games and do what it needs to..also don’t rule out pre builds I know hard core pc gamers say build it yourself but there are so many good pre builds out there and if you have a micro center by you…you can get the parts and have them build it
I switched to pc 4 years ago and i dont use my ps5 other than viewing netflix/youtube/etc on the couch 😂 Emulation is amazing on Pc especially with current games being really mid, plus you can work, do video editing etc...
@DenofOkami tbh no, from what I've seen it's not that different from spiderman and miles morales so not very interested. I've finished botw lately and it being my 1st zelda, it made me realize what I was missing, so I'm busy playing the main zelda entries starting with ocarina of time.
I switched back to PC with this the ROG Ally with a 4090 XG Mobile instead of a desktop or a laptop, playing it on my 4K TV is amazing, the only thing I hate is just the inconvenience compared to consoles
It’s the best of both worlds not sure why people don’t understand that like for the most part it can do everything my Xbox and PS5 can do but I still play them as well if you can’t afford to have everything getting a pc is still a good idea in my eyes only thing is console is just easier to get in to
console has always been my primary gaming platform. when i got back into gaming Xbox has been my goto. then Nintendo. and lastly PC. i too HAD an Xbox on every TV. a couple of months ago i decided to abandon consoles completely. if a game isnt on Steam i wont have it. now PCs are connected to every TV. for me it wasnt the gms cost. those gms go on sale on console too. one reason is backwards compatibility. dont have to have multiple PCs connected like you do consoles. the convenience of taking a laptop or (Windows) tablet somewhere to work and being able to play gms on it is killer. also the proliferation of handheld PCs being able to take all my gms on the go. Microsoft making crazy moves like ridiculous costs for storage is tiring.
Yea Xbox and Sony do have a lot of sells maybe I’m wrong on this but the PC steam sells just still seem to be sooooo much cheaper lol but I could be wrong on that one
9:00 it mite not be as expensive as u think. u can hook up old laptops to ur tv or cheap 100 dolar prebuilts... then stream from ur main pc to any other pc or smart tv in ur house. theres also remote play together, where u can share the license wit a friend n play at the same time in coop even if they dont own it, n even if theres only local coop.
I also really like Xbox play anywhere. When I bought callisto protocol, Scarlet nexus and a few others on my series s I got a free copy in the Xbox app on my pc. I recently bought metaphor refantazio on the series s because I got a free copy on pc for doing that Ive tried metaphor on both series s and pc and the save is shared so if I want to sit on the couch and game I play the xbox, if I want to sit up at the computer I play there. Having that choice is really nice although the Xbox play anywhere list is not that extensive.
Been a console gamer from 1987 till 2020. The new Xbox/Ps5 offered nothing a PC doesn't do better. PC with a Switch and gaming gets no better
Current gen consoles are at this point almost pure off the shelf components X86 PCs. There's almost no proprietary hardware in them anymore. Consoles now are just budget PCs with very limited custom operating systems.
I keep hearing that and that is a great combo
Lol 2020 was my crossover year too
@@DenofOkami Yeah, that's my combo. Love it. Still got my older Nintendo's too: jailbroken, discs ripped and emulated.
And I couldn't sell my Xbox fast enough once I built my gaming PC in 2020, too.
Don't forget to include steam deck
plus with steam, if you're away from the pc desktop or laptop, you can sync your games with a steam deck, no problem.
Yep! I finally made the switch to PC. Have the best experience, for cheaper, and not have to pay for online.
Glad to hear you are enjoining it man!!
I recommend Abiotic Factor great survival crafting game @@DenofOkami
Good luck getting decent ports and having to fix your games it’s not gonna be an easy ride. I’m good I’ll stay console lol
There's no ease lol like move my PS5 or just play my laptop I'm just gonna play my laptop
i did this 3 years ago and never looked back
I can see why lol
@@algorhythmofficial same lol console is boring af
As someone who switched to PC quite a while ago the biggest issue I had was the graphics settings and input settings and understanding them. Anyone else who is making the switch and you find your mouse feeling just off, make sure you have vsync and mouse acceleration turned off. Literally took me years to narrow down that single graphic and mouse setting.
I keep hearing people saying turn vsync off it doesn’t seem to offer a lot of benefits to having it on
@@DenofOkami If you have monitor with AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync then VSync on is just not needed, but even when you don't have such monitor then it is still worse while its on - frame drop in some games because of this single settings is just masive!
@jaqubm yea I noticed that lol I am looking to
Upgrade my monitor as well smh vsync is crazy
gonna be honest, I tend to turn vsync on. Why? my monitor stops at 60 FPS and I dont really do competative FPS gaming, so why stress my hardware for anything Im not gonna see?
@DenofOkami Pretty sure it's for power saving I play alot of old games so I'm getting 800+ fps in them. However it's noticeable the difference between 165 fps on a 165 hz monitor and 800fps on a 165hz monitor just because the frames are fresher so I leave it off
I got both PC and Switch. That's all the men need to be happy
Fr that kinda the perfect setup!
@@johnnylawrence7509 bro write so long its evidence you got no job. All exclusives go to pc in the end you dimwit.
I was gonna say pc and steamdeck but that plays the same pc games. Pc and Switch pretty much covers everything 👍🏿
Pc gaming is all about the community behind it our job is to support it (mods, small indie devs, game fix etc...)
I can’t remember if I said that in one of the videos I did but that’s what I LOVE about PC the community
Yep that’s how I been doing it myself and love it lol
Yes. I need the PC experience in my living room. Agreed. I work from home and have no desire to boot up my PC after work.
Im finishing my build and keeping my ps5 and switch. No fanboy.. I’ll play all the games.
PC is more than gaming it's also everything else.
That is very true more reasons y I switched
It’s soooooo much cheaper in the long run and that maybe worth it as far as up front some prebuilds are around the PS5 Pro price lol
I'm currently switching to PC after being an Xbox main. I'll still love my Xbox but PC feels like the right move
Yeah I’m kinda with you on that and it’s some what what I’m doing as well
I just got a pc I'm switching from xbox how can I transfer my account to pc
Oh it should be easy when you open the Xbox app just login with the same account you use on Xbox the same for the windows store. Most of the stuff will happen automatically
Seeing Crysis, Fallout and Halo in its full glory makes the switch worth it.
I've reached a point in my life where doing EXACTLY what I want to do any any given moment is worth the effort it takes to do it.
Pc is where it's at.
Hopefully Microsoft can launch a gaming front-end for PC. That's all I want.
I 100% feel everything you just said to my core lol
First video of yours I watched ever, great points and you explained the reasons why.
This comment met a lot I really appreciate it and for watching the video!!
What put me over the edge was modding. Playing cyberpunk on PC with mods was life changing.
Yup cyberpunk mods are kinda fire to be real lol
Sold my ps5 and xbsx and went for a 4080 super build with dual monitors. Game pass is on pc and Sony is releasing more on pc now. Its clear that pc is The future.
And if i wanna play on my tv i just plug in my xbox controller and a hdmi cable. Voila and done 😊

EXACTLY!!!! look if you for a PS5 Pro and you I enjoy it fine! But let’s not act like you about in PC price range at this point lol
If you want to stay on controller, try gyro controls. I know it's weird as hell and a little hard to get used to, but I swear it's the next best thing to mouse & kb.

Wow really okay I have to try this out!
Gyro controls is really a hidden gem. But it does need some tinkering/practice.
But you won't look the same at twin stick aiming again.
Good vid. I work all day on pc so for relaxing I love my Xbox. Another thing with pc is the setup and random problems that show up. For me it’s just easier to play console. That being said I know I’m not having the best experience possible. Good vid.
I appreciate you man really do and your right there Are sooooo many random issues On PC I meant to bring that up but will save it for my update video
I think that’s because most of them still have tvs at cap at 60 frames
I just bought my pre built gaming PC of October this year been a console gamer since 2000 now I'm a PC gamer now love survival crafting games
try PC exclusive games.
like anything from RTS genre.
like age of empires
and starcraft.
entire genre of games that cannot be effectively ported to consoles because of control schemes.
Me and my wife love survival games and because of that PC is definitely the way to go for some reason there not a lot on console or if they are it’s limited
Games like that I 100% just play it on pc
interesting to hear this perspective as somebody whos a life long pc gamer that never really could find a use case for a console
also, i spotted STALKER in that steam library, u got great taste 😁

Man your set!! lol
Only reason for me to maintain a console is MLB the Show for 3-4 months every year.
Rocking my 4090 for all other games, expensive, yes ! Now the ability to customize and upgrades down the road when I like to is another PRO.
4090 man your set 😂 I was waiting for the 50’s then I’ll get a 40 lol my 3070TI pushing it lol
Not sure about an Xbox and a Gaming PC since they both share the exact same game, though. . .
I will say as a person that has everything if you already own an Xbox and have the fund to jump in to
PC it’s nice to have one in one room and then the other in another room and don’t have to move anything around just sit at your PC and other days sit in your living room Xbox is there and so is your progress so I can see why some people would have both..even tho I’m more of a get a PC and a PS5 or switch for example I can see why would also go Xbox
Its called PC Master Race for a reason lol. PC just has so much more to do and play, I like the value I get out of it.
Have you considered getting mini PCs for the other TVs? They may not handle the AAA titles very well, but the casual games should play just fine. As a bonus, you can set up your own retro box.
I was thinking about that or getting a steam deck and buy a few docks
i actually just recently started building my first PC for a few reasons
for starters, although i love my switch and its exclusive games, i also wanted to play the stuff that isn't on the switch
i thought about getting the Series XS or a PS5 for awhile, but my gf has a PC she plays on and i want to play games like Guilty Gear with her so i decided to build a PC instead, on top of the fact that instead of having to wholly replace my PC in a few years, i could just upgrade it once in awhile and it would more than keep up with the consoles
Great Video I Did The Same Thing Just Played And Beat Hell blade 2 and i was not locked at 30fps and i just Subbed
PC is the future
I got hooked on PC back in 2013 playing Warframe on intel intergrated graphics. 😂 I just love how versitile and convient PC is. I can do everything I could ever mostly really want to do on one machine. Also having a wide range of options for displays is awesome. I prefer a two monitor setup personally.
There was so many things I didn’t know was a thing until I started playin on pc
I grew out of gaming so a console just fits my needs more. I only have time for maybe Warzone / Fortnite.
And there is nothing wrong with that you got to work what works for you and that reason makes sense to me
Sweet setup man and love the videos as always keep up the great work you will go far i feel it lol also you brought out a lot of good points I was thinking about switching myself
That’s man and I feel it’s worth the dive in lol
Welcome to the *Master Race,* my brother.
LOL thanks man I love it here!!
Good pairing, try check out PC Centric. He gave out tips on which CPU & GPU pair will work best within price to performance 👌🏼
After i switched 2 years ago. Ill never look back.
What did you switch from…I mean what consoles
That is a good point I personally didn’t think about the Amazon Pc’s…..I may have to look in to that one lol thanks man!!
@@DenofOkami Might be worth just getting a Steam Deck and multiple docks.
Just plug into any tv or even play portable.

@NishithThakkar that’s actually a really good point I don’t know why I didn’t think of that I legit may do that myself 😂
Great video, definitely agree with most if not all of what you are saying.
Thanks man I really appreciate you!!
biggest problem on pc is windows itself it was good back in like windows 7 days but now its horrid why most hope lies on valve with linux to eventually take over
I would love for valve to take over personally lol
biggest problem on pc is the many launchers!!!!
@sanillustration YES PREACH!!! 😂
Pretty spot on
PC and Nintendo for the foreseeable future for me.
Same I have all the systems you named off plus the old Xbox ones as well and I still play on all of them lol
i like having my pc ive been playing a bit of a hat in time and its alot better on pc because of modding making the experience alot more fresh and fun
Modding on pc is soooo good 😂
@@DenofOkamiand another benefit to that is that you can reverse your death in emulations where safe points weren't even a thing in video games so now you can start over from wherever you want to start from instead of starting all over again when you lose all your lives oh yeah and the modding community they really help improve the games that you playing a lot like Sonic 3 air which is the definition of way to play Sonic 3
Yup I made an updated video for this should be out this week
I own a gaming PC and an ASUS ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme) mainly for emulating games before the Ps3-era
It's not that I don't dislike consoles. for long consoles were my main platform, but I do enjoy modding games a lot and most consoles don't really make that possible as an option for games on their platform.
Modding is SUCH a big deal for me lol I hope that in the next gen we will see more on console but if not I have my PC now lol
Or with lower spec games, do it with Steam Deck
I don't like the idea that you need a strong PC to game.
Even low end ones are competitive with consoles at 1080p, and the scalers are becoming better by the year
I got a good deal on used 3090 for as much as a new 4070 (chose 3090 for more VRAM) and R5 7600, Now my monitor is my bottleneck so I watch for OLED prices dropping. I squeezed all the power I could out of my PC budget limit, and I feel a lot of PC gamers end up doing the same, but my point was that none of this is needed to have fun
I ran older games on used work laptops before building my Tower of Power, and I still play games from 2000's on it. Hell, we have a joke in PC community that we don't upgrade to play new games but to play old ones we have thousands of hours in faster
Welcome to the community!
@@DenofOkami 3070TI is firmly in midrange, and even "entry level" 1060 ~ 3060 are still very performant. I'm a bit disappointed that people believe 1080p High/Ultra presets at 60 FPS are "entry level"
And yet at the same time we joke that we don't upgrade PCs to play new games, but to play old games faster, lol
Welcome to PC club! Can't wait to see what games you enjoy modding!
@signe_stilett lol you are so right man and thanks I really appreciate it!
I play heavily modded Skyrim VR on an RTX 4090; it's like being in a customized alternate reality.
I just can't get the gaming experience I need on a console.
Got any good mod suggestions?
i got a ps5, nintendo switch, plus ps4 and 3 and used to have an xbox one s. i mainly play on my pc and keep the other consoles in my bedroom, getting ready to move my switch to my desk since i'd like to play it more
I mean you pretty much have all you need at that point
@@DenofOkami main reason to even keep the ps5 at this point is demon's souls
@@DenofOkami fair enough. im no hater. i enjoy both pc and consoles . pc does have the advantage of both xbox games and ps games being available
Consoles can also be more expensive in the long run as games are more expensive overall and you have to pay for online
@@DenofOkamiWould love to see an update on this!
A thing to consider about emulators is that you can play a lot of older consoles on the Xbox in dev mode
I legit been thinking of this a lot
Lately I just don’t know the down sides if any on my Xbox’s
I have a PC and went back to console because CALL OF DUTY keeps crashing and every single other game works fine I got tired of fighting my cod.
that is a issue, I deal with some games as well do not run as well like they do on Console and you can tell some times that its a after thought lol
i also play cod on console lol dont plan on switching that lol but who knows
Pc games are INCREDIBLE!! Maybe one day we’ll get some on consoles
There so many great games that never come to console it’s kinda crazy
I will keep my Series X for one reason: Some games are cheaper at £/$5-10 for a used copy vs $/£30-40 on PC.
That’s a very good reason 😂
News to me, but you know what? Go for it!
Never understood the logic that says "you switched platforms so you have to remove the old one from your life." Seriously, you have both. ENJOY both.
Pc just better you can save so much money over time and just better graphics and fps ect
I think I'm finally ready to make the switch
Join us brother lol
i'm stuck with pc because there are close to none of RTS and base building games on console.
played stronghold, loved it, played for thousend hours (no joking)
then i discover total war (shogun ftw), then bannerlord, then lot other smaller hidden gems like kenshi, undertale, DRG, and i was like "that's it, pc is for me" lol.
I love RTS games so imma check out some of these I never heard of thanks for the heads up!
😂 if that is true that’s awesome and I need to set this up the only way I seen this is if you have more then one license you paid for
Yes on pc you have multiple launchers but you can use playnite that's basically takes all your launchers and turns it into one launcher
Oh really thanks for the heads up I’m out of town right now but I need to check this out when I get back!!
@@DenofOkami you won't be disappointed I myself am currently using playnite to sort out my emulators and PC games
@Kingeseryt8105 now you got me excited lol that’s part of why I will never use epic games
Oh really!? That’s good to know I need to try this
I'm married to my PlayStation because of my trophies.
I made my first mistake of going from One X to Series S. After that I switched to pc like 2 years ago and haven't looked back
I legit keep hearing this lol
the thing is, console gaming separates you from your setup, i work on my computer so being able to separate things makes it a lot better, still im just waiting for the ps5 pro to come out, i really want 4k 60fps
Yea that’s the same thing I was saying around the end of the video if you work at a computer all day that’s 100% a down side to pc gaming
you should try connecting your computer to the tv (with the option of making the tv the primary display automatically) and use steam big picture (there are add ons to integrate games from other launchers as well).
Hey man I appreciate the idea I’ll 100% give it a shot my curiosity is going off now lol

Its fun to use on Lightgun games, works well with a PS5 controller on House of the Dead games and Blue Estate
Keep the switch and the PS5 with the PC you have the best of both worlds lol
Can i ask.modes dont harm pc ? And what about cracked games ? I wana switch too
If i can recreate ps5 on pc most likely going to switch if i can build pc for around same price either 500 or 600 maybe 700 if does same as console like 4k or 1440p with 120 fps
@@DenofOkami Well since i posted this comment i got gifted a PC which mostly gonna use it for multiplayer games and leave ps5 for single player games but the things is i dont know if this pc for sure can run black ops 6 at medium high settings at 144 fps with no major drop on fps you know to stay around there
@ dang a PC is a nice gift! lol you know the specs

@GubiYoroi oh yeah not bad man lol
i want to switch to pc
but the only thing that is stopping me right now is
consoles still offer physical discs!
RX 7800xt or 7900xtx is all he needs
@@DeadPiixxel 7700 xt is fine really, As good as the 4070 for cheaper
I switch to pc when I found my ps4 couldn’t output my new ultra wide monitor 😂😅
Man my PS5 or XBOX series X Can’t as well and I’m mad about that like just push out the update there games support it just not the system like what is that!?
I’m wanting to hop into the pc placement for better graphics and just to have options plus steam being cheaper. But yeah still not sure where to start all of the notion of graphics cards and other things are just confusing. Plus hearing pre-builds can have issues with cheaper parts. So I wanna make the jump but still figuring out what to do about it.
I’ll be real with you I would wait till the 50’s series comes out and get a 40 series because I’m sure it will be cheaper and the 40 will run all your games and do what it needs to..also don’t rule out pre builds I know hard core pc gamers say build it yourself but there are so many good pre builds out there and if you have a micro center by you…you can get the parts and have them build it
I switched to pc 4 years ago and i dont use my ps5 other than viewing netflix/youtube/etc on the couch 😂
Emulation is amazing on Pc especially with current games being really mid, plus you can work, do video editing etc...
It’s an all in one system lol also you getting Spider-Man 2 in January?
@DenofOkami tbh no, from what I've seen it's not that different from spiderman and miles morales so not very interested. I've finished botw lately and it being my 1st zelda, it made me realize what I was missing, so I'm busy playing the main zelda entries starting with ocarina of time.
Great video man i perosnally switch myself love it and dont see myself going back please do a update video
Oh trust me I will!!
You could stream to all the other TV's in your house from your pc's.
Really how? With a steam link?
I switched back to PC with this the ROG Ally with a 4090 XG Mobile instead of a desktop or a laptop, playing it on my 4K TV is amazing, the only thing I hate is just the inconvenience compared to consoles
Yeaaaaaah I been running In to that myself but I love the pc all together
Playstation and xbox executives in steam . Pc is the future 🤝
I’m thinking of getting a steam deck or something and getting docks
@@DenofOkami u could if u want, or if u got good internet in ur house, stream from ur main pc to anywhere else. but i guess steam deck is cool too.

wait for switch 2
Yes it’s being rumored it’s coming out around April of 2025
I also really like Xbox play anywhere.
Wait I didn’t know that game was play anywhere! Thanks for the information imma have to get the Xbox version lol
Hard to imagine going back to those consoles after pc. Console after being on a high end pc is a joke. Im angry that i didnt switch sooner seriously.
