I usually have my cylinder heads rebuilt. They typically have dunking style hot tanks which aid in the removal of carbon build up. I do have cylinder head check and rebuild vids... pls check out the rest of my channel.
Would you please remake this video? Illustrating the cleaning of a clean engine is not very helpful. Start with a greasy, grimy engine like everyone in your viewing audience has.
Perhaps I should change the title... this video explains how to clean the block prior to assembly. The best way to clean a greasy grimy engine is in the car (while everything is sealed) using a pressure washer. If the engine is out of the car already, I suggest tearing it down and then pressure washing it. FYI - I learned this method from the JDM importers... it’s the easiest way to clean, but in the end if you want a super clean motor (inside and outside) prior to assembly I suggest you follow what I did in this video after pressure washing.
