You guys are putting some of the best auto import content out there right now. No frills or gimmicks, just skilled mechanics who love what they do. Keep up the good work
Dude! Ty so much guys for this video. I own a B18C engine and i would like to replace timing belt and oil pump this winter. This is a huge help very good detail. Beautiful build ❤
OMG, as a Ek4 owner (same b16a2) since 17 years ago, this is GOLD for me, here there is almost all you need to assemble the engine (torque forces). I'll love to do this complete rebuild but man, there is A LOT of money on this nice job... I have the original engine with one cylinder wrong waiting to be repaired on one corner of my garage... this video makes me want to start with it! thanks!! 👏👏👏
Mike and his crew spares no change on their quality restoration. Love seeing the outcome and always brings me back to my HS days. Keep up the great work AHC team!!!!
So I just did a 97 spec JDM B18C TypeR refresh last October and I kno the kind of money put into this is insane lol I did close to all the same new parts but ya'll went strait baller status all out! 🤯🤯🤯
Such a great video. I’m on a mission to keep my ITR on the road long enough to hand my 9-month old daughter the keys one day, I’ll be needing this down the road.
You guys do a phenomenal job from start to finish on this gorgeous B16! Can't wait to see the entire car come back to life! Keep up the great work! Looking forward to the next video!
Muchas felicidades por su canal! Es el mejor taller que veo pues tiene muchísima luz y es muy profesional todas sus reparaciones! Gracia por compartir sus conocimientos!! Bendiciones! 😊
With the CAM's at TDC and the tbelt OFF, can you really rotate the crank as much as you want? I thought there would be valve interference in at least one cylinder.
Pretty freaking cool! I love and appreciate the attention to detail and the fact you are using almost ALL new OEM parts. Where did you find the OEM RMFD starter motor? I would love to pick one up for my build instead of using NAPA or something....
Man I've never been a fan of Honda bond on certain parts. I often see people put it on cam seals and it leaks inevitably. The front cam seals, behind the cam gears are meant to be installed dry. No oil or anything. I know it sounds odd, but I had to take the cams out of an engine just to remove the Honda bond and reinstall dry. They are still bone dry today and you could now replace them without removing the cams because the housing is clean. The other one I see is all over the oil pan gasket. If you get a good felpro gasket with the metal plate inside, then put rtv on only the 4 spots you're suppose to, it'll never leak and it's much easier to replace in the future.
By dipping head bolts into oil did oil seep out between head and block when head is torque down. I did exactly that and oil seep out on mine when I torque down. If it does will it be ok? Thanks
Nothing like fresh new sensors. Shame none of them will work with my fueltech ECÙ. Factory oem oil pan gaskets by no fault of yours are horrible. The new felpro blue with the sandwich metal plate are great!
I will watch this over and over until I know the steps by heart and then watch it ten times a day for a year. This is wicked.
I've done it twice twenty years ago. I'm about to do another build. This is a great review.
What a loser lmfao.
Thank you Mike and the whole crew for giving so much love to that B series engine.
Our pleasure!

What a FANTASTIC video. Informative, sharp, professional and full of laughs. You guys have come so far since I found you in 2018. Much love from Utah.
Wow, thank you!
Basically a brand spanking new engine- down to every last bolt! Love this!!! 😎🤙🏼
Right on!!

Glad to see the header go to such a great project! And to think I almost tossed it! Can’t wait to see the car all done!
Couldn’t do it without you. Thank you very much

Absolutely!
OHhh yes have been waiting for this episode watching from Antigua and Barbuda, nice work putting this gem together
Hope you enjoy it
Absolutely stunning, love those OEM genuine parts , becoming very difficult to source now.
Couldn't agree more!
Such a great video. I’m on a mission to keep my ITR on the road long enough to hand my 9-month old daughter the keys one day, I’ll be needing this down the road.
Truly great video! I'm the same way Mike. New OEM is the way to go! Thank you AHC. 👍🏻🇺🇸
You bet!!

Love the b series content❤
We love them 😄👍🏼

Outstanding! Beautiful!
Thank you very much!
This is very cool video. There's so much valuable information that I feel I can learn from you. I really appreciate it.
Beautiful block sheesh 😍🥰
Thanks!!
That was mesmerizing!
Cheers!!
Very nice restoration! how did you get all the discontinued parts!?!
From Malaysia support ✌🏻
Right on!!
Insane build.
More to come :-)
Whenever the valve cover gasket is changed, do the rubber washers also have to be changed?
Ideally yes, you should do them as a kit

Are we able to get in touch with the powder coater?? That valve cover is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes you can!
@@ahcgarage do you have his insta? Or where can we see his work? I tried looking him up off what I heard in the video and no luck 😔
Hello guys ! what's the part number on that rear rubber seal on that back cover ?
Did you ever find out?
what a nut and bolt restoration! would you have used a ATI or fluidamper in place of the stock crank pulley?
Stock crank pulley will do fine since we have a stock setup
@@ahcgarage had you found a replacement for the broken TPS connector from the link i sent?
Did you guys put Honda Bond before placing the water pump or it's not necessary??

Where did you buy all the OEM Honda parts? Is it Honda parts now?
Where did you guys source the Japanese sourced oil filter????
I'm building a jdm b18c and am looking for oem honda parts. Where did yall sorce all of the bolts and timing cover oil pump etc?
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
I am in search of a GSR long block/short block with pistons already in place. Please advise where I can get one.
Where and how do I find all the little o rings and gaskets they got for the head!?
The o ring at 7:30 what is that called
What's the oil filter's part number? Where can I get one of those? Nice video as always👍
How about some contact info on who did the valve cover powder coating?
Is anything different for a JDM B18C?
Wait, can I get a copy of that document with part numbers?
"You didn't say anything about my car...." I'm Dead!
At 16:32, look how the discontinued CFK sensor clip magically appears on the oil pump.
muito top a montagem
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Where can I order all of those parts?
did you missed the crankshaft girdle in minutes 30 in this video.?
yeah!!!
Whats the cost of something like this?
Nothing like fresh new sensors. Shame none of them will work with my fueltech ECÙ. Factory oem oil pan gaskets by no fault of yours are horrible. The new felpro blue with the sandwich metal plate are great!
I want to buy this when its done
Who's the powder coater?
No girdle?
Oem, my favorite three letters in the alphabet.
Right on!!!
Hey make sure y’all put the correct cams gears correctly lol😂 exhaust to exhaust cam n intake to intake cam 😂
Ha!
How much
i wish i had the money to rebuild mine right now. blew the motor about a year ago and she just sits
This is car porn. So good, thumbs up man.
Ha! Much appreciate it
When I find a good condition 1998 - 2000 civic 5 speed I will get the funds and get my b series engine
How much this job cost? jeez
We will go over the cost toward the end of the completion
They were joking..halfway in, 10k
Watching this for the 5th time i need to figure out how to finish this build…
👍👍💲💲
Where is the oil cooler? 😮😅😂
Unfortunately no oil cooler for the USDM B16
Show us the part numbers 😔
Who the fuck is hummming in the background 8:10 im tryna built my shit man
Spent alot of money just to have a stock Honda. Is this a thing the Honda community likes to do?
Unfortunately yea hahahah
@@kwxst I own a Honda as well not hating just wondering. Seems stupid to me to spend that much money and not even upgrade.
