The Easiest Way To Level Your RV! (Andersen VS Beech Lane RV Ramp Levelers)
Thank you for this! I'm going with Beech Lane (for a first-time RV owner). Much appreciated!
I think you’ll be satisfied ◡̈ Happy Camping!
Thanks for the video! You sold us with the Beech Lane
Hope you like them!
I have the Anderson. But that’s what the dealer had where I bought my RV. Mine came with square blocks to put under the jacks and a nylon bag to carry them. Love their ease of use.
Nice!
Awesome information. Ty
You bet!
Beach Lane!!!! Thank you for this comparison!!!!
You’re very welcome 😉
We have been using the beach lane ones for 4 years, used many times as we have been to 150 campgrounds in 4 years. Save money and get the beach lane ones, so far ours have worked perfectly even in some really challenging situations. I never use the rubber Matts i carried them around for two years but never used then, now in storage. Red color is better, less likely to leave them behind at the campsite. Larry
hahaha - and I like the black over the red for the exact opposite reason! Either version - these ramp levelers are well worth having!
This is helpful!
Glad to hear!
Great content!
I also prefer the Beechlane levelers as well but I bought a different model.
The set I bought actually had two pieces for each ramp. A 3" and a 1" piece.
If you need less than 3" of leveling, don't use the 1" part and the leveling is more precise.
Either way, it's a great product.
I've had my hands on those too - for my preference having two more pieces to keep track of isn't ideal ◡̈ Happy camping!
I went with the Anderson simply because they are red. I used to work around aircraft and the chocks always have high contrast colors to prevent accidents. Someone also mentioned they are easier to see so they don’t get left behind.
Love it!! I think youll be happy with them. The high contrast is exactly why I went with beech lane 🤣
@@rvgearandfar and that they have the price. 🎉
I went Anderson. I like the red color and they’re made in the USA.
👍
I went with the Revor brand which is similar to the Beechlane, it includes everything as Beechlane plus a carry bag to store everything and the price was $29.99 on the place named after a river in South America.
$30 for a PAIR? Can you give me some more specific details on what you bought so I can find this listing and compare?
Nice Review
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks
Welcome!
Just bought a class C and had to level it for the first time . Dang it , it was not easy. This would have saved me alot of time.
They do make it significantly easier!
That's clever.
They're super convenient and durable too!
Thanks! You really broke it down and made my decision easy!
Glad it was helpful◡̈
I'm sorry if this sounds stupid, I'm very new to this and I'm interested in getting these levelers/choks, but I'd like to know, could these also act as tire cushions so my tires don't get flat spots? Thank you for the video! 😊
Hiya! No, unfortunately these would not cushion tires or prevent flat spots.
@@rvgearandfar Okay awesome, thank you so much for your help. 😊
Do you know where the 4” is achieved on the Anderson’s? I feel like I’m going to roll completely over them to get the middle of my tire centered over that last and highest circle opening on the leveler. I can’t find this answer anywhere online.
The 4” is the size of the tallest part of the wedge- so yes, it would need to be just about centered under the middle of your tire. I completely get the feeling and Ive even rolled over them before trying to get to the max. Something we’ve also done is use the ramps on top of leveling blocks - using the rubber grip mat, to gain more than 4” of rise. There is a clip in the video showing that. Definitely not advisable by either manufacturer, but we’ve done it successfully more than once. Definitely don’t do it without the rubber grip mats. If you don’t have those you can find some on Amazon
@@rvgearandfar makes my wife nervous! Thank you.
Made in America first, always first. Love your content keep it going.
Made in America period , don't like the color then paint it or stain it, Made here in America first from there I can customize anything.
🇺🇸
Beech Lane is the one to go with!
Theyre both great products- beech lane will serve you well!
I agree. But with all that said, are you throwing away your stairstep levelers?
Would you ever use your stair strp levelers again?
The lego block style levelers? Nope - absolutely keep them - there's been times when I've used the lego blocks AND these ramp levelers. The lego blocks are first and foremost if someone is only going to have one. These ramp levelers are a uni-tasker for sure - but they work SO well that its worth the weight and space for them.
How do they work in sandier places like east coast shore towns or in New Jersey?
I've not personally used them on the beach - but I have used them in sandy soil locations and haven't had any issues. I have also used them on top of the lego block or pieces of wood to make an even bigger footprint which might be helpful in a sandy situation. I doubt any manufacturer will suggest that and I'm also not suggesting you do that, but rather sharing what I've done in the past - definitely utilizing the rubber mats inbetween so its not plastic on plastic and therefore increased the friction and lowers the potential of slipping while getting up on the ramps.
Hey my friend, what is the weight of a full kit of beach lane ?
Hello! I'm sorry, I haven't put them on a scale to be able to answer that.
The red ones are harder to drive off and leave behind cuz you can see them better.
Trust me, you'll know if you try to drive off without removing either set - regardless of color.
Trust me, you'll know if you try to drive off without removing either set - regardless of color.
Beach Lane are now ( 02-18-2024) $39.99 for one and $69.99 for 2
Thanks for the update!!!!
I assume you need to use n both sides of trailer?
Nope, just the side you want to raise ◡̈
Have you ever needed more than 4 inches of left?
Yes, only a handful of times - you can see one instance in the video where we laid down the orange interlocking blocks in a row and the laid the rubber beech lane mats on top of those then used the ramp levelers.
The Beech Lane levelers are actually $68+. Still a good value bet higher than you indicated.
Pricing can obviously change up and down - definitely check current prices - there are links in the video description or easily searched on amazon.
I strongly dislike leveling an RV. You might get the right height on these roly-poly jackstands on a small trailer but in an RV when you get the back perfect and you can’t get the front perfect it drives me batty.
Could you do a video on how you would level an RVversus a trailer too easy
When you say RV vs trailer are you meaning a motorhome? I've personally never leveled a motorhome but it would seem that if you're trying to level the front AND the back that you're making it too complicated - really should just level one end TO the other and only mess with one side (left/right) and one end (front/back) - what am I missing with this question?
In Canada somethings wrong with the price..lol
Beech Lane Camper Leveler 2 Pack - Precise Camper Leveling, Includes Two Curved Levelers, Two Chocks, and Two Rubber Grip Mats, Heavy Duty Leveler Works for Campers Up to 35,000 LBs,

$166.31
Yeah I've been made aware of that - I'm sure its an import issue
I just checked Amazon Canada for Beech Lane levelers - $198!!! Nope... Andersen were $124. It's almost like Amazon knew I'd just watched your video.
Whoa - that is QUITE the price jump - my assumption would be that Beech Lane doesn't have the systems setup right now to deal with international shipping - so they'll do it for you, but pay for the manual process as well. You'll be happy with the Andersens - I'd HIGHLY recommend getting rubber mats though as they tend to slip more in my experience - just helped a friend level last week and the Andersen's slipped as the wheel was ramping up.
