    We too have the Beech Lane for about a year. No issues Liked saving a bit of money as well. Good idea on carrying a 4' plank. Our park near the beach in Florida had sand parking spaces. Nice, but we pushed the levels down. Left the planks at home. Won't happen again.

    Definitely need a set of these!!! Beats the heck out of carrying around the wood in the back of the truck.

    My son has the Andersons. They’re nice, but I went with the Beech Lane after some research. Better specs and price. They came with the rubber anti slip mats as well. Combined with a Level Mate Pro, I can get set up in minutes. What a time to be alive!

    Never had the Red brand but got Beech Lane 3 years ago...work great!
    Bonus: Beech Lane also has a 2-canister (5, and .5 micron filters) in-line filter system. Very well made. I had an issue with a fitting and their excellent Customer Service rushed me replacement parts to solve the issue.
    Outstanding products and service from Beech Lane.

    Thank you for your insight. Your video was the turning point in my decision between the Anderson & Beach lane levelers. I just placed an order for 2 sets, a set for the rear and a set for the front for my Class C RV. I didn't include the bag with this order simply because I have soooo many laying around. Again, thank you for your helpful information.

    We’ve used the Anderson units for about a year with our fifth wheel. I did add some grit tape on the interface to stop slipping. I have not used them in very cold temps,which may affect them breaking. The Anderson’s are $5 more but made in the USA. Buy American when you can.

      I agree with you... I'm just looking at the best product for the money... If you research it a little bit more and you'll find Jack at Beech-Lane is a small Business owner from South Carolina doing a great job keeping decent RV products accessible, better made and cheaper than the competition... He may be outsourcing production but ultimately he's an American entrepreneur... Speaking of a very Un-American thing.... have a read - - www.idahostatejournal.com/members/east-idaho-family-facing-backlash-for-reportedly-defacing-corona-arch/article_06e2e5fe-de1a-5094-a557-95e53287525d.html

    28’ fiver, 7300lbs dry. I have had two sets of Anderson levellers. Retailer replaced the first set after they both broke before I could get the chalks under them. That time the trailer was completely empty as I had just bought it and brought it home. Wish I had known about the Beech Lane. I can only use pieces from the second set. My take on these things, unless you park on asphalt every time,save your money and use wood.

    • @Rvdaydream
      @Rvdaydream  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah the BeechLane would have definitely been a better solution. I'll have to say though most of the newer fivers don't need anything anymore as they are self leveling..

    We love our 35’ Grand Design fifth wheel but we would like a 29-30’. We haven’t had this problem. Our auto levels have worked great. Never heard of Beach Lane either. Looks like the black ones are more solid. Yes. Weight is an issue especially since we are full timers. We have hitch, unhitch, and pack up lists 🤣. We don’t forget anything anymore. Great review. Thanks. Alice.

    The manufacturer of Beech Lane Levelers states that the maximum outer diameter tire to use on them would be 30". My pickup tires (we have a slide-in camper) are 31" in outer diameter. Would these levelers work on a 31" tire in your opinion?

    • @Rvdaydream
      @Rvdaydream  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the problem might lie in the radius of the ramp versus the diameter of your tire. So what I mean is as your backing your tire onto the ramp the contact patch would be in two different points on the ramp instead of just one. It would be hitting the large part just as much as it would be hitting the small part as you start backing up or driving up on them. However these things are heavy duty we use them for our truck when we were on this trip coming back from Myrtle Beach and I didn't want to unhook the camper at a boondocker welcome site so I just back the truck up with the trailer hitched on the ramps and it did fine. I'm not sure what size tires I have on my truck though they're Goodyear Wranglers and they are Factory on the 2020 F350 four by four FX4 whatever you want to call it.

  • @krisreid6647

    The Anderson has that large hole for a purpose, it can be used for a spacing block for the tongue jack. Take the wheel or foot off of the jack and it will fit down in the Anderson block when the block is turned on its side, giving you a few inches more lift capability

    • @Rvdaydream
      @Rvdaydream  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem with that is most don't need to be to lift up the their on the front end. Even if they do then they lose one of their leveling blocks. Not only that but amount of plastic that is inside of that hole is not sufficient for some vehicles that have heavier tongue weights.,, if someone really needs to have extra lift with their tongue jack there are a lot of other options there are a lot cheaper than an Andersen leveler. And that large hole having that one feature that someone may or may not use causes the jack to lose its Integrity whenever it's used with heavier vehicles..

    We have been using the Andersons for 2 years now. First on a 31' travel trailer (10,000lbs) and now on a 21' Class B (10,000lbs). We broke one on our last trip. I submitted a warranty claim to Anderson. $13.95 in shipping to get a new one under the lifetime warranty. It broke on an even asphalt surface. Nothing rigorous.

    Do you need to use these levelers on concrete pad?

    • @Rvdaydream
      @Rvdaydream  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. They work anywhere that a piece of wood could be used. The rubber piece that they give you is to help with sliding on concrete and maybe some protection when using it with gravel however, it's just like anything else. There are some people that use a real thin piece of plywood underneath of them if the gravel is large and sharp like slag. Of course just like a piece of wood with sinking mud there's potentially the same problem with these if it's an extremely muddy condition.

      They could have also made them cheap and weak like Camco. But they decided keep them inexpensive by only having to pay for one mold. And used the money saved to build a superior product. By the way, we have yet to modify them as they work just fine with very little additional effort.

    The reason for the weight difference is the beechlane is made of nylon and the Andersen camper leveler is made of high density polyethylene. Andersen Hitches is the inventor of the rocking leveler and these other companies like beechlane didn’t invent anything. Andersen Hitches has a Awesome customer service and has a lifetime warranty on these levelers!

    • @Rvdaydream
      @Rvdaydream  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BeechLane is an American company out of the Carolinas and although they do import their product, their company is a small business just like Anderson. And as far as my dollar is concerned I would rather buy the less expensive product that is made better. Most of us full time travelers don't have time the deal with warranty procedures especially when we're traveling from site to site as much as we did last year as we travelled 36 States and over 22,000 miles. Having a broken product at hand and doing without while waiting for another delivered while traveling is a hassle at best. I'm not bashing, just making an astute comparison...As far as inventions go, I don't care who invented the toaster, I just want the best toast available.
