Can you imagine how much fun it must be for Daryl to play with all these legends? He is living the life.
Daryl is a legend in his own rights
Thank God we still have great musicians playing in their seventies!
And even die-hard hammer-chewers like me! (I'll be turning 69 at the end of next month! But I'm determined to keep on going 'til I drop and finally turn up my toes and start pushing up daisies!) 😉
And they all dye their hair!
Happy Sunday,
My buddy came over to jam last week and had the best shirt......it said......I may be old, but I got to see all the cool bands. I thought it was GREAT.
CHEERS to ALL
@@francinecorry633so what?
80’s for some as well, still going strong!
Aren't we lucky to have live in the same time as these people?
I'm 65, have 4 kids, 7 grandkids, we all love and play music. It's like food, try everything.
Billy is 74. Let that sink in. Still got it
@@HarmonsHarbor Ah, ok. Saw him interviewed by Bill Maher and he looked much older. I figured he must have dyed his hair
Yeah thanks I kind of figured that out since I seen this like 10 times
@@foolonthrn Aren't they great sessions, though? Damn
Daryl's House is the best show on TH-cam
@@foolonthrn Some of Bill Maher's interviews too
Every time I watch Daryl's house I'm like oh that's the best episode I've ever seen
Seeing Billy killing it with that incredible style and sound makes you forget he's in his mid 70s and La Grange is almost 50 years old.
Wow!
Shout out to Darryl for his genius not only as a singer song writer but as a historian for getting so many legends to come to his house and wine and dine and make incredible music.
It’s over 50 years old. Recorded in 1973.
@@drumsoutfront --- I stand corrected. Thanks. I honestly couldn't remember when Deguello was released. I know I was young. 1973 I was 8 yrs old.
I have older sisters and an older brother and young parents so music was always playing and I was listening to music that people wouldn't let their teenagers listen to when I was in kindergarten. I was listening to Bowie, Pink Floyd, Bad Co, Zeppelin, The Who, the Stones, Beatles, Hendrix, Janice Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, Santana, The Doors, America, and more. I was that kid who if I didn't have a baseball or football game or practice and if I wasn't at the beach, I was in my sister's bedroom with the headphones on spinning her records for hours at a time.
We had a second house when I was growing up, in the mountains and would spend a lot of weekends up there and one rule my dad had was no television. There was a really nice stereo setup with a turntable and reel to reel and we each, including mom and dad, got one hour to play our choice of records and no one was aloud to complain or change the music. So there was big band, Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins, Ella Fitzgerald, and all the bands I already named plus more. It was very good to have that exposure to so much music.
Deguello is one of my top 10 albums of all time.
He better than Page at this point, for who is still shredding... Les Paul and others could do it well into their years.
Love it to hell and back
You can tell Billy Gibbons loves music, and there is so much joy in his face as he is playing, and the way he looks at the others in the room seems to say, "I am having a great conversation here, we all speak the same language, and respected it as much as we enjoy it."
Billy is the coolest guy on the planet
Sew isn't Daryll, My 0ther Br0ther❤
When Billy walks into a Room the Temperature drops 10 degrees, he is just that cool Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh f*ck yes!!! I was young boy in Houston when Marvin Zinder -a local TV reporter - blew the lid off the whorehouse in La Grange, about 100 miles West of Houston. Then to hear ZZ Top sing about a few years later was awesome. Mr. Gibbons went to my high school a few years before I did. Friends of mine from Houston remember seeing “pre-ZZ Top” ZZ Top playing high school auditoriums. These dudes invented Texas rock…….Godspeed to Dusty Hill whom we lost recently. Best wishes to Billy G. and Frank Beard-less in their future work!
Have a good golf, good tennis or whatever makes you happy. Marvin Zindler EYEWITNESS NEWS!
That smile on BILLYS face is contagious! Legendary musicians! Thanks
That smiles as if one who knows .. Must be NICE. , BEAUTIFUL NO OTHER FEELLING ,. DAMM . .to have a black credit CARD .NO LIMIT . . That's the SMILE ON 1. WHO KNOWS .
I still can't believe Darryl doesn't have 10 million subs and this awesome music is free. What is going on? This is one of the best channel on TH-cam.
I've been watching this channel for years, and I could have sworn I was subscribed. I just noticed I wasn't.
I agree 100%.
I agree too 100%
Me too!
@@BalokLivesi know they stopped a few years ago as I think this is a new channel?
To be called Jimi Hendrix's favorite guitarist really means something. Billy is on another level. Thanks for sharing! God Bless!
Billy is one of the best players on Earth .
Keith Richards' was born on 18th December and Billy Gibbons was born on 16th December 🎸
Jimi also said in an interview when asked who his favorite guitar player was? He said, "Terry Kath ! " RIP TERRY AND JIMI , ROCK ON BILLY !!!
Jimi was never quoted as saying that, but according to Billy G, Hendrix was impressed at Billy's take on some of Hendrix's songs at a show they did together where ZZ played 2 of Jimi's songs to fill out their set.
@@-Atmos1 Keith 1943, Billy 1949...?
Peace@@ninevoltromeo Jimi said Rory Gallagher was the best rock guitarist on Earth on the The Mike Douglas Show. I've seen Jimi and Rory and have to say he was right . :-) Peace
I saw ZZ Top in the same show as Lynrd Skynrd, Blue Oyster Cult, and the Outlaws on 4th of July 1976 in Memphis TN. It was a stadium show on the bicentennial. I was right up front too.
The crown jewel of my concert-going days. I still have photos. 😊
Whoa. That must have been a bad ass show. I was 3. Months.
WHOA!!!! That is one hell of a rendition of La Grange!!!! AMAZING!🎸🎸🎸🎸👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm 54. ZZ Top had me hooked to their music since the 80s. Rock on Billy.
Me too..I´ll be 54 on 29/4 😁😁
Daryl is also a legend he fits right in with all the other legends . This is dancing music!! Thank you Daryl.
“Why you workin so hard” lol I love that
You can tell they all love what they do. They are all amazing, but wow, that keyboard player is fantastic!
As the gone but not forgotten rock station, KLOL, in Houston, Texas used to say support the home teams; Astros, Texans, Rockets and ZZ Top! Meet the Rev. Willie G at Gary’s Hat n Boots circa 1974ish. He was buying boots, hats and belts. I was buying a new bull rope. The beard was just starting, the rest is history. I won a state championship, bull riding. And ZZ Top became true ambassadors of southeast Texas “swamp blues/rock”.
Said the Surfer: LET MY PEOPLE ROCK
Billy gibbons is such a legend they broke the mold when the man above created Billy gibbons 100% stay blessed ✌️🙏
Billy Gibbons most likely the coolest guy ever !!!!
There may be someone on this earth cooler than Billy Gibbons but I'll be darned if I can think of who that may be.
--can think of many.
keith richards
That all comes down to personal opinion, and in mine Keith ain’t even in the same room as Billy, and I’m not even a huge ZZ fan.
Billy got swagger!!!
Chuck Norris of course!
@@carlosclaptrix Daryl is pretty cool himself.
You know why all the musicians smile around Daryl? Sure he has mutual musician respect and a vast knowledge of music but the key to me is that his band is tight as hell. He always brings the goods. Excellence on stage.
Maybe the best version ever....
That dang SG of Billy's is SIGNATURE B. GIBBONS!
Cool story about BB. These icons of great music that some of us grew up with..., are likely never to be repeated. Best music Era ever...60's & 70"s (i like the 80's too)
So happy to see these up on TH-cam and with great quality.
Am I the only one thinks of Billy as the Willie Nelson of rock? National Treasures!
Can you imagine setting down and breaking bread with Billy and just listening to all his stories. Daryl thanks for all you give us to see and listen to!
Billy's the man!!!!!!!
Billy is the SG GOAT. Love all of these guys on one of the most iconic rock songs ever!
Love, love this band. We will miss Dusty.
What a Great Song. One of my Fav from ZZ Top. Look at the Smile on Billy.s face!! Awesome
So, so glad that Darryl's House is back !!! I must have binged every episode three times in the last couple years - just hoping that he would continue once the really bad scare was over. So glad to see/hear this. Love, Mr. Hall . . .
That,s what you call music .
Speechless, but thankful for this show , Billy rocks …
What an amazing man Billy is !! Thank you for doing that for us !!
Billy and ZZ were always huge inspirations and he's a class act. Love and respect. 👊🏻🤘🏻
I'll never forget the first time I ever heard this... I thought to myself, "Oh I want me some more of this...".
That must’ve been a treat for Billy to play with an expanded band and really stretch out, absolutely brilliant.
I wonder how many times he’s played that song. He still plays it like he means it!! Good stuff!!
Best version of Lagrange I've ever heard.
We met Billy outside Cabo Wabo..in Cabo. He is the nicest guy. We chatted with him for about 20 minutes. Great memory!
Had no idea Darryl's House was back, cool! Love Shane and his playing..
I wish I could hit the like button a 1000 times. Wow that was fabulously fantastic!!!

I wish I could listen Billy's stories all night!
That was "Hm Dow Dow Dow Fantastic! I was right all these years about light gauge strings! I never understood heavy gauge strings, they slow you down and wear you out! Thanks Billy!
Can't help but be amazed.

Awesome, real musicians, no egos just jamming 🙏✌️🤘🇦🇺
Billy Gibbons is a national treasure.
some of the best music ever comes out of that house
Skated to this song when I was a little kid in the early 70s at a roller rink by Southwest High School in Ft. Worth.
Ohhhh Daryl I remember hearing that on the radio. OMG you all did that so good.
How do you play a song as many times as Billy has this, and it still feels exciting and fun? Never heard keys on it like that. Killer version.
Never forget being in their live videos in the 80's filmed in the Vancouver agridome on the PNE grounds, it was great because we got to hear them play their songs twice to get all the shots right, so cool ! Ya thats me , cant you see my arms ?
Ooooooooooosh ! 10th time I’ve watched this ? Maybe more it don’t matter true musicians enjoying themselves that’s all that matters ! 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Great music & I like the story about the strings & B. B. King ! Thank U
Yes, that's when I got the goosebumps!
The organ and piano are a very nice addition to this song. 👍
they came to my college in the mid-70s and set the (packed) gym on fire..oh, and when they did that guitar spin, we all fell out
That was amazing!!
Love it! I was made in the 60s so I was lucky enough to grow up with music and not effin noise.
