And that ladies an gentleman is why they call it playin!! They all dropped 30years when the started to PLAY!!!!!! God love everyone of them!!!!Just brilliant
@@TonyBurke100 That's a matter of opinion. I think they're just old and won't be around much longer, or like Peter Frampton, they have a stroke and lose the ability to play, or sing. But no problem right? They can just lip sync it. If their lips move, that is. Some like Joe Walsh, should get awards for being alive after all the drugs they took. You truly are a fool.
No Doubt!! Been that way since I heard him play when I was a young teenager just start'n to dig real rock music. James Gang LPs were a great start to listen to Joe.
I so love this song and how are things is arranged by such soulful masters as Joe and Darrel! If this doesn’t make the hair on your back stand at attention you have to be dead on arrival!!Rock on brothers!!
In 1975 i was 15 years old, based in Austria. I met a Canadian guy, who was on holidays and he gave me as a present the Album Joe Walsh - The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get. Now I have all on vinyl. James Gang aso. I love all albums of James Gang and the solo records of Joe Walsh But I still have not only one record of the Eagles. I will survive it... 😎BTW: Rocky Mountain Way is not only just another of my favorite rock songs. And THIS Vid is pure sensation. THANKS SO MUCH, DARYL "The living Legend" HALL. All best and big hugs round this crazy ball called earth from Austria! (Maybe this "ball" is "flat" - I don´t know, and it doesn't matter at all)
One of the greatest rock songs ever,by one of the greatest rock musicians ever! Brings back memories of my youth. Joe has been fortunate to have survived his years of drug and alcohol abuse.
I am so glad I lived in the 60's and 70's and lived all that great music and bands. I could name 50 bands off the top of my head, if not more, that were killer bands and the kids today have no idea the music we had to listen to, jam to with friends and play in our friends studios or cellars. It was a great time to be alive and it is a shame we are losing so many of the great musicians we loved which is why these videos are to be treasured!!!
I love Joe, I’m a massive fan of him as a musician and a man, he’s fantastic, and man he makes his guitars sing, and watching him here and all the guys absolutely loving playing with him, the interplay, the smiles and how tight it all sounds, bloody fantastic
Joe is one of the coolest American guitarists. I’ve been a fan of his since the mid 70’s. To say he had an influence on the Eagles is an understatement. I’m so glad he survived his substance abuse demons that so many greats had but didn’t make it.
Who would have guessed Daryl and Joe could sound so good together? That's a gift of age and experience. I loved hearing Daryl belt it like that! Full tilt rock & roll.
If you look up what tock and roll is you will see a picture of joe walsh i grew up in a good musical era im 72 years young thanks to people like joe.❤❤
I think that was my most favorite performance of Rocky Mountain Way ever, and it was a first take!!! The Rocky Mountain Way really was better than the way we had!!
Yep, and now Joe knows how great of a guitar play he is. He has inspired so many. I like the Eagles. However, I wouldn't walk across the street to see them. But, I'll pay to see Joe Walsh.

Oh Hell Yes…! Joe Joe Joe………😎 a big big part of my musical life….🎸🎹🎸❤️🎸🎹🎸❤️👍🏻 I was dating , a girl named Angie..🎶🎹❤️ she was the keyboard player in my band, when this album came out…🎸👍🏻 ( the smoker, you drink the player you get ) We listen to this album over and over and decided we absolutely needed to play Rocky Mountain away….👍🏻 and I’m 70 years old now and still playing it…………!
He came out and played rocky mountain way with the foo fighters at fenway park in 2018, I'll never forget that. Rained like hell that night too it was awesome
This is true genius! I get chills everytime I listen to this song. One of the greatest ever. Can't make this one loud enough. For you kids out there, this is why we stick to our 40-50 year old music!
I don't know how recent this was but it looks recent enough. For such a hard road he's been down, I didn't realise how well Joe could still perform; solos as well as ever, still singing great and hitting the notes in the original key, it's fantastic.
I felt like I was singing and playing along with these guys and at the end I had the biggest smile on my face laughing as loud as I can! This was absolutely fantastic!
Daryl has one of the tightest bands I've even seen. What they don't show us is how hard they work when learning and rehearsing every new song. I'll bet there was a couple of hours of learning experience before they got it down for this five or six minutes of flawless performance.
Joe really likes Daryl's singing! Look at his face around 4:35! This is really a superb performance and high-quality sound recording! Landed here when looking for "Rocky Mountain Way live".... This is how how stuff should be recorded! Good technical setup, the whole band ready, all instruments at once and: 4-3-2-1-go! Yeah!
Yeah, this is one of those "I can't believe" things, all right. Joe is way beyond any group that he's ever been associated with. Joe is Joe!!! Awesome!!!
I must apologize Darryl, I've been listening to this for quite a while and didn't realize i wasn't subscribed, i am now, thanks for doing this, it's absolutely amazing
Well that was bit of awesome right there. It's too easy to forget the non-UK classic rock guitarists these days. Joe Walsh is a slap in the face wake up call in that regard. Hale hale, rock and roll!
Just one of the best jams by a legend you’d ever wanna hear. Superb recording sound …a moment in history with that sublime, Beautiful Walsh slide playing..even though he was clearly a bit out of it..such a great song..wonderful Joe.❤
Whew, Joe & Daryl are so handsome here, Funk #49 is a great song, believe it’s the 1st one I heard from the James Gang. Am so used to seeing Joe wearing a bandana, his signature look. The grounds/scenery here is just gorgous, will always love the music we grew up with. Thank you Daryl, for presenting-preserving these legacies, wish I lived closer to visit. Peace Everyone 💖
And that ladies an gentleman is why they call it playin!! They all dropped 30years when the started to PLAY!!!!!! God love everyone of them!!!!Just brilliant
Well said❤
Considering Walsh is in his 70's, not for long. But he certainly hasn't lost his touch.
People who know realise that musicians get better with age and the rest don't even warrant a look.

Daryl Hall is doing historical preservation work.
Yes sir he is, so much enjoyment
Agree! I've thought that many times through the years, as I've watched these!
Amen!
I was all wrong about him. Dam I dislike being wrong but so be it. Peace out.
Pay attention Kids.... Real Musicians Playing Real Music that will still blow the roof off of any place its playing for eternity.

Awesome! Joe and Daryl...as good as ever!!! Band ain't too shabby, either! I thoroughly enjoyed this. Great memories for all of us.
Joe’s voice doesn’t get enough love. Dude has a totally unique tenor sound that is instantly recognizable.
Joe is my hero, I'm 71 and have been a fan for fifty years. Joe's playing and that fabulous voice are just awesome.
Rock n roll man!
Joe is the best ❤😊
Joe Walsh will always be unmistakable.
Not too many Guitar Legends left. I'm glad I lived in this era.
😅😅😅
I wish I still had hair.
Joe didn't just figure out the guitar, he mastered it. There are guitar players and then there is joe a true maestro.
Him and frampton talkbox elites!!!
Good thing Duane Allman taught him how to play that slide. 😅
Get a grip, because then there’s SRV…..
@@KDavis1163 yeah you're right 👍.

He really truly is.

The talent in that room is almost overwhelming! Loved it!
These 10 minute trips to Daryl's house really help preserve my sanity. Well done, Daryl.
Saw Joe this year in Manchester.. Brilliant ... Loved his final words..' it was more fun being 20 in the 70as than 70 in the 20's What a legend
Live at Daryl's house is just a gift from the universe. Real music, real musicians, real emotions and NEW memories to enjoy. THANK YOU DARYL HALL!
Daryl's House. Ain't never been there, they tell me it's NICE!

When Joe opened his mouth to sing that first note, omg... it's like not a day has passed. He is INCREDIBLE.
When Joe Walsh plays it makes me cry. It is just so unbelievable.

Daryl sounds terrible in these later years though if I’m being honest. Just an opinion though don’t beat me up over it.
The band is just fantastic. That was great..
