In addition to removing the pillion grab handle, which cleans up the look and improves the profile, I suggest also removing the pillion foot rests. I really like the look of mine with these few extra details seen to. I think it looks really sleek. :)
I just ordered 2021 continental gt 650 in British racing green . Still waiting on it. Delivery time is now upto 90 days since pandemic. I also ordered Moto Torque exhaust upgrade and BMC air filter just to feel that full potential sound of that 650 twin. I would suggest try Nuke exhaust on your bike since it's easily available over there .
Thanks for the suggestion, I've already ordered a Tec Stinger 2 into 1. We can't get the British Racing Green here in North America, I bet it looks awesome!!
@@losttogether4ever when I was in Texas I use have honda cbr 1000rr . There was only one dealership of royal enfield in Austin Texas. Never knew all these years . Came to find out by your video .
The Royal Enfield dual seats for their 650cc twins come in 2 flavors. The more comfortable 'Touring' seat uses a different foam to the one fitted to these bikes when they come out of the RE factory. The good news is the RE mono seat only comes with the better foam and the label 'Touring' to be found attached at the stitching of the mono seat near the top rear left confirms that. Edit: the mono seat is also a little lighter than the dual seat and these bikes benefit from any weight reduction you can throw at them.
Hey, hope you're doing well. Just curious to know if you were able to attach the seat cowl on top of the raw and rugged seat cover without any issues. Also would be great if you could share the name of the tool used for tightening the washers onto the cowl. I was assuming the tool would be inside the toolkit that comes with the bike but unfortunately couldn't find one. Thanks in advance.
Hello Akshay, We are doing well thank you for asking. Unfortunately I was not able to fit the seat cowl with the Raw and Rugged seat cover installed, there is additional padding in the cover that makes installation very difficult I could probably compress the seat cover enough to force the cowl on but then I would worry about too much stress being placed on the cowl which would probably crack it. I was thinking about maybe removing the stock seat cover and shaping the seat foam so there would be extra room for the R&R cover but I haven't decided if I will do that or not. By the way the tool to remove or install the cowl is a 3mm allen wrench. Thanks again for your interest.
@@losttogether4ever so far I've been more than impressed with mine. I couldn't help but get the royal green. The exhaust and air filter woke it up. Looking at powertronic ecu next
@@nicsmonkey the single seat n cowl look way better and you can still pop the old seat back on for a second rider. Got mine from royal enfield for about 150.
@@losttogether4ever I'm 6ft 2in 185lbs and I like it better. When I put the factory seat back on it feels too wide. Your cowl looks good. I just shortened my tail with the mk designs kit recently. So goodbye factory seat forever!
You could have saved yourself 30 minutes of fiddling with those cables if you just cut vertically up through the plastic of the mudguard and slid the cables out.
Jai Hind, really great quality content. Loved it, now i can remove the rear fender and install the tail tidy on my GT mark 2
But am i going to face the problem where mud water splashes on my back while riding?
You shouls be OK the water should go more straight back!! thanks for watching!
I also removed the rear grab handle when I put the seat cowl on my GT650. I think it cleans up the back even more.
Yes it does, not sure I want to cut my frame though.
@@losttogether4ever 2 bolts on each side. no cutting
@@losttogether4ever Yeah no.. not the rear hoop.. the sissy grab bar thats held on with 4 bolts.
Ahh I see, I'll have a look at that, thanks for the input!!

How is the Nuke exhaust for India?
Superb video
Thank you so much 😀
Fuel fluid tank break reservoir oil cup would look nice.

@@losttogether4ever I don't notice a big difference with the touring seat but I'm very light at 143 lbs, maybe if I was heavier I would.

How to polish the engine casing, any special things to be applied ?
Thanks for watching, Nothing to apply to the cases. They are unprotected so will need periodic polishing to keep them shiney.

I removed the front fender extension also.
I kept it to protect the front of the engine, we have roads that have lots of gravel.

GT❤️
I going to put on a seat cowl to STOP people asking for a pillion ride.....LOL...
Good Idea!!
when i removed my fender extender rather than feed the connection thru the extender i just slit it
Thanks for watching Robbie, thats a good method too, I just wanted to be able to return to stock one day if I wanted.
@@losttogether4ever yeah i get that me too, just a simple slit doesnt damageit and goes back on easy.
Bro can we fit this seat in "honda highness cb350"
I'm not sure the Honda Highness 350 is not available in Canada, I've never seen one.
How to keep that engine casing so glossy? Mine gets tainted every few days.
I think it depends on the conditions you ride in, I always park in a covered garage and give the bike a quick wipe down after it has cooled.
Check out Stuart Fillingham and his video on detailing - there are some products there you might wanna try! 👍
