Love it...stepping down from a Harley Davidson Super glide...as I'm getting older a looking for something lighter...RE Conti.gt650 seems to be the TICKET...THANK YOU SIR..!😊
@@thebingleywheeler yes trouble free, none of the reported issues with relays (grease) , speed wobble etc the only thing it has gone back to dealer for was the recall on brake calipers, I’ve done every single service myself ! And I’m no mechanic it’s so easy to work on, I’ve done a few ‘upgrades’ for my own personal reasons, as you mentioned it’s eminently customisable at reasonable cost.
I bought mine in 2019. You gotta strip off all the stock exhaust, air filter, mirrors, signal lights, double seat, etc., and then chop off the rear end. You will add a bunch of HP, lose 35 lbs. and have a real cool street brawler.
Great video. Striking bike and I enjoyed hearing your story about the tramway. Its very cool to see the classic bike in a setting with that kind of history. I will consider a Continental GT partly in thanks to your video. Cheers.

Hey TBW wow could not help but notice your crash protection bars on your classic 350 they really are a proper cage type affair what's the story behind choosing those in particular ? just have to ask . Really like the Royal Enfield brand they produce very nice looking bikes in traditional style. My choice would be the Inter but I suppose my only concern and I do not really know why it should be is the horses and that is only in the aspect of overtaking abilities rather than outright top end which is different. I suppose the pick up for that blip past to get back in lane quickly and I don't mean with oncoming traffic more when you come across motorists who have that tendency to accelerate if they think something might come past them if you get what I mean . Your not the first to say the GT felt a little more quicker. I wonder if it’s geared differently or maybe a different ecu tune. I’m hoping to get hold of one. Love the look of the Conti GT 👍
Yeah I’m not sure buddy as I could only relate it to my interceptor which I’ve had for 8 months….the Conti had about 2.7k on the clock whereas my Inty has just 1.7k so that may be a factor….lovely bike the Continental but it would do my shoulders in on a long run 👍🏻
I’ve read a lot of people saying they get wobble at speeds above 70-80mph. Is that a common issue it’s these bikes? I’m really wanting one, but not if it comes with issues.
You’re right….I changed mine (Interceptor)…. They’re built to a price but the indicators scream that at you. Nice to see the newer bikes improving the look 😊
i would like that tank on the interceptor as a special , with a bit more power ,, interesting to see that nearly new bike at appleyards - which was supplied by kjm ;;;
I knew there used to be a theme park style place around Shipley Glen, I've just never been able to work out where it was. Was it literally at the top of the tram, where that weird new house has been built? Apparently there was also a helter skelter dropping down from somewhere until around the turn of last century, until it killed a few people. Someone told me there's a few remnants of that, but I've never found owt.
I have both. The 650 is a better bike in all respects except one. Character. The thumping, shaking 535 single gets way more attention and sounds great with the goldstar exhaust from Hitchcocks. When I bought the 650 chrome new in Sept last year I was supposed to sell the 535 but I haven't. Regards.
It seems for the last few years, English bikers have fallen in love with the Royal Enfield brand 😊

Had my GT Continental for nearly three years and after 15000 plus miles I can say it’s a great bike for the money imo 👍🏍️.

Mine is rock solid.

Quicker steering than the Phantoms they replaced at slow speed but more stable over 65mph.

Yes it was on Prod lane where the new houses are the dodgems were right beside that white building you can see on the walk around
