    Another excellent helper video.
    I've also used Plastic Dip SPRAY to protect against tool scratches by spraying the box end of the spanner or the edges of a deep socket... Just an alternative to electric tape. (The CANS of liquid Plastic Dip apply too much material to the tool.)
    Still mustering the energy to go after the tubless tire project. 😇

      Thanks for the tip!! You can do the Tubeless conversion just take your time!!

    I had fork boots installed when I replaced the front end.l like the old fashioned look of them.

      Yes I agree, they don't look right without the boots, glad Enfield made them standard in the newest bikes.

    Yup, *gaiters* - every British retro bike should have 'em. They look "right", and they protect the stanchion's slider surface from pitting and rust.
    And if the bike has a cooler, the *mud guards* keep the mud out.

    Great timing on the video, gaters are on my upcoming upgrades list.
    Installed some S&S slipons this evening and without the baffles in they make a huge difference to the sound, deffinately a recommended mod.
    Thanks for posting.

    Nice job! Love your videos....clear, concise instruction! As a transplanted Torontonian, I appreciate hearing you say "boot"!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
    I also appreciate your modern-looking subdivision! What part of Ontario?

    Thinking about changing the fork springs to YSS on my conti - this was a useful guide on how to remove the forks & wheel - thanks!

    I have read that warming the reflectors with a hair dryer can help left
    the reflector with sone of the adhesive. I’ve just bought the Yamaha
    preadjusters thanks very much for your content. Your bike looks
    really nice.

    • @losttogether4ever
      @losttogether4ever  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching, I got both stands from Amazon they came together, I can't seem to find a link for them but they are Venom brand.

    Hi there. Great video mate. How was the preload after you adjusted it to one notch? Was it enough or did you have to dial it in a bit more?

    • @losttogether4ever
      @losttogether4ever  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Seems good and firm, if I was carrying a passenger I'd probably go 1 or 2 more notches

    A simple thing like removing those ugly reflectors makes such a big difference and the best part is it's free! Also, the fork gaiters look like they belong on the bike and I see on the '21s they come with them now, another big improvement although not as easy as the reflectors. If I buy one of these I would have to get rid of those turn signals, if you look at the European models they have much nicer signals and I would try to find where I could buy them. I'm disappointed they didn't carry over your paint combo to the '21s though.

      I agree I was surprised at how good it looks after removing the reflectors, strange though my bike is sold and registered as a 2021, on the Canadian Enfield site we still have the original colours, on the worldwide site the new colours are shown. For North America the new colours will probably be 2022's....Fly Like an Eagle!! Steve Miller!!! Had to say it Bro!!

    Nice video. Would have made sense to change the fork oil at the same time as, by all accounts, the oil levels in each leg can be different from the factory and the oil used isn’t the greatest. I’m about to change the fork oil on my Interceptor and will paint the headlight brackets black while the forks are off.

    • @losttogether4ever
      @losttogether4ever  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good tip, you're right it would have been a good time to swap out the fork oil even just so you know it's the right amount and weight.

    19:54 What was the point of shortening the spacers in the front fork? Now that the fork pre-load adjusters have been installed fully extended, wont the adjustors now have zero effect?

    • @losttogether4ever
      @losttogether4ever  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the adjusters have been installed fully retracted allowing you to add additional preload to the springs, starting from a stock position.
