Hi guys, I’ve come to the conclusion that Indian people are the nicest in the world, what a wonderful country, I must say you two, that was nail bitingly scary! Worth it when you got there, the Cardamon hills are amazing and so was the place you stayed in when you got there, still can’t get over how lovely the people of India are, good luck for the next part of your journey, much love and take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxx😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was so scary!!! My heart was in my mouth!! So glad you didn’t risk that last leg of your journey! But what kind and helpful people you met, this has really opened my eyes to India and what wonderful people there. Thank you for taking us on this journey. ❤️
Oh my goodness my heart was in my mouth for most of this episode and a couple of times I had tears in my eyes. The fact that you're showing it obviously means you all survived it but it was like watching a suspense movie. Janine's reactions are so quick I am very, very impressed. When you said pick up truck I was imagining a big truck not a slightly grown up version of Pete! I don't know if you have just been lucky but you have met some seriously nice people - thank goodness.
Jay this vlog really does bring it home to me how AMAZING some of the Indian people are. I lived as a single woman vlogger in Indian society for 3 whole years and alot of the time I was not impressed with the psychological violence towards single women. But this vlog has proven that there are many many nice genuine people in Indian society. I want to go back to India due to the kindness of some of the ppl and also it's cheap there. Life is too expensive for me here in the UK. Also the UK feels lifeless compared to India. I definitely felt alive there. Don't get me wrong I was challenged and frustrated there too but I felt a lot more alive there than I do in England.
My heart stopped a time or two watching this too.. So thankful you made it through, and the lovely, lovely people who stopped to help you... I'm now fretting about a tiger jumping on you as you go to your next venue!! 🐯🐻😱
I'm from Kerala but I haven't travelled to Thekkady but have to Munnar. one thing I can assure you is that the roads are similarly steep in Munnar too and you guys absolutely handled your rickshaw with your life. I respect your efforts man but that rickshaw is quite weaker and very much not suitable for climbing steep hills cuz not much power. I hope you all are okay and you found quite a lot of people to help you. they are so nice also your own subscribers came here to help you out. now that's cool.
I’m so glad that you were sensible. The Indian people you’ve met are tremendously helpful, generous and kind. That is a huge gift. Thank you for sharing your amazing journey.🙏🏼☮️💝💟
Wow you two! I watched this one totally in awe of you two. Scenery was amazing and you really are showing us all how amazing India is. The people, they are giving us all a lesson in how to act and help people and actually as a human race show humility and care. Please take care of yourselves and hopefully naughty Pete keeps going. X
Love you brave souls! I am a sincere follower/admirer. That vehicle is NOT designed for anything beyond a few kilometers at time ON PLAINS only, NOT FOR PERSONAL/FAMILY COMMUTE, NOT FOR ANYTHING BEYOND GENTLE GRADIENT, CERTAINLY NOT FOR LONG DISTANCE AND CERTAINLY CERTAINLY NOT FOR A MOUNTAIN regions. The engine design was originally from 60+ year old italian Vespa scooter, 100 cc air cooled two stroke or may be updated 4 stroke, grossly under powered for your purpose. A brand new one might barely make it. An old one with worn out clutch, loose gear cables...... surprised you made it from Chennai to here, 800-1000 km? The place your are driving is about 200 km from my hometown. At the next good mechanic shop, please get the clutch checked, brake, gear & clutch cables replaced, have a couple of spare spark plugs, & clean it every 500 km. On hot days, give it a break every hour or so to cool down. Down slopes, use lower gear to control speed, not brakes. It is only going to get hotter as you go north and summer is on your heels. - from an Indian, fairly knowledgeable in cars, two wheelers, engines, mechanics and Indian roads.
Indian people really have the biggest hearts and are the kindest people 🙏 be safe you two and loving these blogs, but so glad you are not using Pete until he’s properly fixed. X
Sounds like Pete could do with new innards like Morgan, love the Indian people, so helpful and kind. Stay safe guys, happy travels however you get there.
I never realized how incredibly nice the Indian People are, until following your travels her on TH-cam. I hope you make it all the way north. Thanks for an amazing journey.
You guys are doing great with little Pete in India…I’m an Indian now settled in the UK…love watching your videos travelling through South India. Good luck to you both on your journey up North India. Hopefully all gets sorted with Pete and you guys are able to travel in it safely. Proud of all those amazing locals helping you out in your journey through Incredible India. Good luck and God bless.
Hi from Australia, just wanted to say how much I am thoroughly enjoying watching your adventures in India. I love seeing all the sights you have been to and how well you explain what you are doing and seeing .I love how friendly and helpful all the locals have been with you . Thanks for putting a smile on my face with your vlogs. Stay safe 😊
I’ve just sat here for fifteen minutes not knowing what to say in my comment. It’s a mixture of “that was exhilarating” and “for the love of God GET A CAR”, along with some “awwwwww India is full of the most amazing people”, and then topped with “how did you find two subscribers on the side of a mountain in the middle of India?” Please, please be careful. I’m so relieved you decided to get Pete the help he needs before taking him any further. Thanks, as always, for taking us with you, however terrifying the journey might get! Stay safe ❤
I think these videos are showing just what a great team you guys are! You are really great working together when disaster strikes. I can't even imagine how scary & frustrating that trip was in Pete through such a hilly area. The Indian people that you have met along the way have been just fabulous and so helpful! I'd like to think that people here in Australia would help too but your videos are really showing how lovely & friendly the Indian population is towards tourists. I'm really enjoying your adventures in India!! That resort in the Cardamom Mountains looked very appealing! I wish you could have stayed there longer & relaxed. Keep safe!!
The people of Kerala and India 🇮🇳 overall are so helpful and friendly. I was blown away in 2019 when I visited places like Bhubaneswar, Puri, Mumbai, Bodhgaya and Varanasi a d now seeing them just come together to help you guys. Epic. May Bhagavan bless them all 🙏🏻! JAI HIND 🇮🇳🙏🏻!
The brake problem used to be a thing over here in the UK in the 60's and 70's when most vehicles still had drum brakes.....it's called brake fade , when they become overheated by the operator over applying them continuously for a prolonged period , normally going down hills when they should be using engine braking and allowing the brakes to cool. It's what happens when a society gets dumbed down due to technology doing the job for them and us no longer having to think about how things work. Seriously intense watch and so glad you're both safe and well ❤
My word, what a beautiful vibrant couple you are. I'm just hooked on your journey through India. Sincerely incredible and I've been close to tears a couple of times with the sheer thrill of it all. Thank you 💘
Oh my word that was stressful to watch 🙈 glad you are both okay and that Pete will get a new part soon. I love how there is always someone who stops to help. What an amazing country. ❤

I'm so glad both of you are safe and have taken the sensible decision not to take any more risks. Having said that, I'm enjoying watching your adventures in India. Blooming ek guys! Massive palpatations here so lord knows how you didnt have a complete melt down. Fair play Janine you just acted instinctively and thankfully you'r not hurt. Beautiful hotel and another well deserved stop. Amazing place! Somebody is looking after you for sure. Packing poor old Pete on the pickup to send him on was the right thing to do. Your safety is paramount. Will see you next time when we find out if and how you make it to your planned destination. 👍👍
Wow. You are so lucky not to have been injured. You have a guardian angel watching over you, and so many strangers willing to help you. I hope you manage to get Pete sorted, and have a few less stressful days. Stay safe and happy travels xx
Blimey I love how you guys are just on an endless holiday when I'll be lucky to get two weeks away this summer due to pressures of work.......Something needs to change and watching your channel might just push me into it......
Continuing to keep you both in prayers and thankful you both are safe. I believe your choice of having the truck pick you all up and take you to the next destination, was the smart path indeed. Take care you both and stay blessed.
Wow, I'm absolutely amazed watching you guys travel around South India in a Rickshaw! That's something I'd never dare to try-I'm quite the adventurous soul myself, but this takes it to another level. Being from Thekkady for almost 24 years, I never knew anyone who ventured this far, especially considering how challenging the route can be even with a regular car. Kudos to you all! The video might not fully capture the toughness of the journey, but trust me, it's no easy feat. And how crazy is it that a guy from Thekkady like me is now in London, watching two Brits doing these incredible things in my hometown? Absolutely mind-blowing! Your video is amazing, and even though I'm a bit late to the party, I'm subscribing right away. Can't wait to see more of your adventures and hopefully cross paths with you guys someday soon!
u need a small fuel pump as it seems the fuel is gravity fed and a wedge of wood permanently on board as a break. the hospitality in India is amazing and every second person is a mechanic. also the roads are in great condition

Watching from Ireland, what an eventful journey. Janine you're a hero,, as for the people of India, you are all amazing people...
It makes me proud to be indian to see so many people help these 2 clueless guests in our country. 🤣🤣
Absolutely amazing people in India!
Indians are a lovely people. So kind and friendly.
I've visited India twice and met many lovely people. They do you proud.
Clueless ha ha ha
You don’t know what you don’t know - but this adventurous duo are brave enough to do it anyway! All power to them!
Great advice!
Indian people really have the biggest hearts and are the kindest people 🙏 be safe you two and loving these blogs, but so glad you are not using Pete until he’s properly fixed. X
The people you meet and help you are BEYOND Kind. Blessings 🙏
Sounds like Pete could do with new innards like Morgan, love the Indian people, so helpful and kind. Stay safe guys, happy travels however you get there.
Phew am exhausted just watching this incredible journey , plus what a hero Jannie is . What an amazing group of people who supported you both
I never realized how incredibly nice the Indian People are, until following your travels her on TH-cam. I hope you make it all the way north. Thanks for an amazing journey.
We will 🙏
Wow what an adventure, respect to you both ! The locals are so helpful, good luck on your new destination in India :)
Sorry for all the trouble you've had with Pete. I'm glad you decided to play it safe and get a ride. The people of India are just amazing.
Hope Pete realises how much he is loved… what with Janine’s heroics and all that (its always the quiet ones 🤭). What a journey!
Bloomin ek yes.... What a journey!!!!
Thanks so much! 😊
India you are beautiful! The land and the people! And resourceful.
Stay safe 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
Stay safe ❤
Thanks Karen that made us LOL
Our pleasure,bro ✌️🇮🇳
Very moved by the Indian soul, very moving. Wise choice to take Pete on a truck. Be safe, be happy and healthy.
What a drive. Janine what a hero. Liam you are so calm under pressure. Stay safe ❤️
Seriously intense watch and so glad you're both safe and well ❤
Exactly never touch your brakes when going down long hills & when going up select the lowest gear & don't try & change up
My word, what a beautiful vibrant couple you are. I'm just hooked on your journey through India. Sincerely incredible and I've been close to tears a couple of times with the sheer thrill of it all. Thank you 💘
Thank you so much!
Oh gosh I feel exhausted just watching, hope Pete is OK soon. The people you meet are amazing, take care 🧡
Oh my word that was stressful to watch 🙈 glad you are both okay and that Pete will get a new part soon. I love how there is always someone who stops to help. What an amazing country. ❤
Thank goodness you’ve ditched Pete for a while! I was a bag of nerves watching all that!! Aren’t the locals just wonderful. ❤️🥰❤️
What a harrowing journey. The kindness of the people is amazing. So glad you made it to your serene destination to recharge and recoup. Take good care. Sending all good wishes 💫💫💫
Thank you so much!
Wow what a video ! Poor Pete, I hope you can get him fixed. It’s just heartwarming to see how people always stop to help you. Can’t imagine that happening here in UK ! 😢😬. Loving your journey guys, stay safe ! 😃😃
Good decision on your part.Third time could have been not so lucky.I agree with some of the other comments that although its interesting watching your travels around India I am worried about your mode of transport. Its not really designed for cross country travel.anyway glad your both safe.Keep up with your travels as I really look forward to watching when a new one is published.
Wow what drama - glad you are safe and how resilient are you guys. My 7 years old was watching with me (he is learning about India) and he was riveted!!!!
Say hello to him from us and we hope he visits this wonderful country one day
Wow, what a journey to get to those stunning hills. Pleased you arrived safely. You have really come across some lovely helpful people along the way x
OMG I’m exhausted watching this, you are both amazing how you keep going and have the support of locals that come to your aid.
Thank you so much!!
Wow! you two are so, so brave. I do not have a sense of adventure, and my heart was in my mouth watching this video. I'm so glad both of you are safe and have taken the sensible decision not to take any more risks. Having said that, I'm enjoying watching your adventures in India. The Indian people are so lovely and welcoming.
My heart was in my mouth throughout. So pleased you are both ok and decided to go via pick up truck. xxThe Indian folks are lovely and oh so helpful xx
That was a tense nail biting episode. Good luck to you both. You are both brave, and I'm sure that you will solve these problems. We are looking forward to the next episode of what is the best travel vlog we've ever seen.
Guys it is what it is. Fortunately y'all are well. Keep growing stronger on TH-cam in India 🇮🇳.
Jai Hind 🇮🇳🙏🏻🥰💪🏻😎👍🏻!
Eddie that it.... It is what it is.....
What lovely people helping you so many times today. You were so lucky not to have a terrible accident. I do Hope that Pete is repairable 🤩
Many thanks for your comment, hope you enjoy the rest of our journey across india ✨️💜
u need a small fuel pump as it seems the fuel is gravity fed and a wedge of wood permanently on board as a break. the hospitality in India is amazing and every second person is a mechanic. also the roads are in great condition
Engineer ,mechanic you will find them everywhere if you don't they will find you in India
What I thought after and while watching the video was, how good you two are under stressful situations. As always, great video. You made us like we’re with you there. Love ❤
Those of who are freaking out, Relax !
They are in India surrounded by Indians. They are like our children. They will be taken care of till the end
@@paulaunger3061 i dont think the newspaper can give them this popularity if it was i think those people would have mentioned it
@@paulaunger3061 one or two newspaper articles aren't going to make it too far deep into the country, I didn't even know there was one until I read your comment, do share it if you have the link
We can’t believe you still took the time to speak to us about our Van problems while you guys had all this going on 😮 it really says a lot about you guys!
We know everything will work out with Pete, you deserve it 🙌
I was worried and commenting every video from first day....for this thing to happen crossing karakoram and deccan with auto rickshaw.
I hope you guys make all through this extreme geography, with Pete.❤️✌️
10/10 for perseverance and patience but I'm relieved you found another way to get to the next destination!🙏
Really frightening journey with poor Pete😢🛺 He’s too fragile for the mountains & you are so lucky to be in one peace loves🙏🏻🙏🏻 The wonderful Indian people just don’t hesitate to help 🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
So glad you have a truck for Pete & will be safe now on your journey 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💗💙👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Liam and Janine..... I thought that I was adventurous with travelling alone in India as a Solo female travel vlogger, but OMG I am CERTAINLY not as brave as you guys. This is an ADVENTURE of a life time in tuc tuc Pete. I think Janine needs a bravery award for saving Pete. Hope Pete is all fixed and ready to go now and you had a SUPER time at Sadhguru's SHIVRATRI celebration. Sadhguru is my FAVORITE philosopher.
If I was in that tuc tuc with u from Kochi to Thekkady I would have cried the whole time. After feeling brave travelling round India on my own I now feel like a scaredy cat given what u and Janine manage!!!!
Love u peeps. Stay safe and enjoy the ride....... ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thanks Kas, was a bit of a risk for sure
What a hard day, but my goodness What A Tale to Tell & Remember Forever! Y'all are an Excellent Examples, facing Troubles Bravely & Persevering

Good call to get the pick-up truck. Way too dangerous. My heart was pumping so no idea how you were feeling! Amazing insight into India.
I really love and look forward to your videos. Thank you. India looks so amazing and the people must be the best in the world.❤
What a brilliant video. Your story/video-making skills are outstanding. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole video. Being a passenger in a rickshaw is frightening enough, goodness knows how much more adrenaline-filled it must have been driving! Good on both of you! And thank you for such a fun vid.
Thank you, it was pure adrenaline haha
So many wonderful people willing to help you. I am so glad you are both ok.
Oh my goodness guys...what a rollercoaster of a ride...you are both so very brave and strong 💪 🙏. Super proud of you both for carrying on with this and was so glad that you decided to go to the next destination with help...very relieved 😉. How wonderful are Indian people 💝...so willing to help everywhere you go..a real testament to their culture and generosity 👏. Had to laugh at the size of the pickup truck but I guess they know what it's capable of 😋. Can't wait for the next instalment...just brilliant guys...stay safe ✊💝😘
Thank goodness your calling it a day and not going on in the rickshaw🛺 Jack’s done you proud. He deserves a rest 😂 stay safe. Love love loving watching your journey. The Indian people are so amazing, kind and accommodating. I have a new found respect for them. ❤
Awesome vlog guys. Amazing Indian people, and the scenery never disappoints. Glad that you are safe.
Safe travels 😍 🇮🇳
Thank God you are both in one piece still.....That's the main thing.....as for Pete he looks like hes on his last legs...shame you couldn't buy that little truck and take him around with you that way...........One cute little truck! Hats off to ALL the amazing people of India who have really been a safety net for you both and never once let you down! x
What a nail biting episode 😬 the rickshaw is bigger than the pickup 😳 love it but please be careful, thank goodness you have such lovely people to help you.
Your just plain blessed you have had so many beautiful people helping you. Wow.
Wow what a journey and some very close shaves for you both. That pick up truck doesn't look like it would make it either it is tiny. Good luck, stay safe and look forward to see the next video.
So sorry to see Pete is broken. I hope he gets fixed for you. The people are absolutely amazing. ❤
Thank you

💯
Glad you are ok. That was truly terrifying and good decision to not go in Pete to Munnar. Safe travels and hope Pete recovers soon! 👍👍😊
I am so sorry that Pete is not feeling his best! Maybe, as he has such a British name, he might be suffering with a bit of Dehli belly? I hope he gets well soon!! Also, a massive thank you to all the wonderful people who stopped to help you! 🤩🤕🤒
🤣🤣
Amazing how everyone comes to help, I loved the people who I was in India.
U guys are so good together!! Bro u got a real diamond of a partner!!! Stay blessed people!!!

Just wow, it's amazing that Pete has got you so far he definitely deserves a rest day, much like yourselves. The stress of driving in India alone is intense 😳 let alone the thought of mountains, without brakes... Hope you enjoy the party when you get there. Sending positive vibes to you both.🙂

OK this would be my last day How many problems can you have in one day. I'm glad you are having such good luck with finding help. You are much braver than I would be.

What wonderful people, hope you both get it sorted, stay safe !!
My goodness I hope you are both okay! You certainly know how to keep us worrying for your safety. Keep safe xx ❤
Im not sure everybody appreciates how brave these 2 are to take on such a challenging journey...im from the uk born to punjabi parents, im lorry driver by trade which means i hold a cpc license.. ive drove in many countries but if i ever told my mother i would drive a car in india nevermind a tuk tuk my mother would absolutley go into full scale panic attack in worry for our safety.
Yet these 2 lovely people are doing so and perservering through all the trial and tribulations...i wouldve stressed myself out along time ago. I tip my hat to the both of you and wish you all the luck in the world. This youtube channel/journey across india has been my favourite series of videos ive ever watched on youtube ❤
Thank you kindly, really appreciate you saying that
You’re both just brilliant 🙏 thanks for sharing
Omg what a trip. Just caught up with last few vlogs.
What an adventure , one you'll look back on in old age and tell your grandchildren about ( or dog).
We have 2 dogs ( 1 we brought back from Portugal )and both travel with us on our adventures in the motorhome.
Oh my gosh! What a video. So glad you guys are OK. You are both so so brave! I wish you had a video every day.
