Our overall plan in India is to travel via rickshaw/tuk tuk from the South to North (if it's possible?) The next leg of our journey is to travel the rest of the way through Tamil Nadu and then Karnataka

We feel like we have only just arrived in India, after a crazy time back home doing van life and living full time in our camper van conversion for two years in the UK. But after some serious engine problems that cost us a fortune, we came to India on a mission to honour Liam's Grandad's legacy who sadly died earlier this year. With the inheritance money Liam got from that, we bought the tuk tuk and named it after Liam's Grandad.

May be if your throat cracks You should gargle with hot water 250ml mixed with 1 table spoon of rock salt or crystal salt once in the morning and once at bed time.
That will sooth the throat.

There's are doctors and clinics available everywhere in India and they are very good. The cost is very affordable and they don't much. You'll should be visiting a doctor

What an amazing place India is. The men all have fabulous smart haircuts, and the women have thick, shiny hair and so friendly. It's great seeing it through your eyes. Great video.

Janine is a real trouper. Glad she is feeling a bit better. My dad (who spent several years in India) used to say that a good hot curry, with all the spices etc, will kill off any germs. That palace was breathtaking, so opulent.
Spices definitely do seem to help open up the sinuses 😅😅😅

It is very encouraging to see Janine getting better. If however, she feels cough inside, don't hesitate to see a doctor because sometimes simple sore throat could turn worse. You two are such a nice couple and I wish you all the best.
Swaraj yes there's also ayurvedic doctors that can help with Janines condition. Similar to Liam and Janine I have also spent time traveling around India, especially South India. I always relied on the ayurvedic approach when I got sick. I'm a massive fan of Those Happy Days vlogs. And I LOVED LOVED LOVED Chamundi Hills, dosas galore and my trip to Hampi ❤ Also similar to Liam and Janine I am originally from the UK 😃

The Mysore palace is an example of Indo-Saracenic (fusion of Indian and British style of that era) architecture. This combines the Contemporary Indian style which existed in 1800s- with arches, wide and tall windows, open courtyards etc with the Victorian era architecture. You can find them scattered across all presidency (erstwhile province) cities of British era. The Madras high court Mumbai’s CST terminus etc are other examples.
A lot of buildings in India built from 1860s till 1920s conform to this.

Cocopufer yes Liam and Janine are definitely capturing India from a unique perspective. For example, I did 3 consecutive years so solo female traveling in India but never ever did it cross my mind to buy a rickshaw and travel round the country in it! Hahahaha 😃😃😃😃😃😃 Liam and Janine are ever so positive and this particular vlog really reminded me of my travels in Karnatica. It's a MAGICAL place. South India feels like home to me ❤

S just trying.... Thank God that Liam and Janine are travel vloggers as they were made for that job and I feel that they bring a lot of entertainment and happiness to our lives. Their vlogs feel very special to me and are also very close to my heart. For example, I too travelled in India. In fact I spent many years travelling in India. And Those Happy Days are enabling me to re live all of my Indian edventures through their vlogs 🎥
I feel you guys aren't resting enough. The prolonged rickshaw rides are not as comfortable either. Maybe try a ginger tea? I get that a lot too and it does help me. Or check out a local GP.

Peaceful Baking I find it so endearing that you empathize with foreigners in India. That's so beautiful of you. I did solo traveling around India as a foreigner. (I'm British) And yes you don't always know what you are going to experience. To me.... That was the mega adventure of being in India 😃 I find that India has a cultural depth that can I can not experience in other places. I have travelled vastly but India is the country that excites me the most. I have had difficult times there too as I was traveling alone as a woman but I honestly feel the the more solo women who take on travel in India the better that is for India. Simply because the county will get used to that concept ❤
What do you mean by it can be quite hard to travel in India? It’s a global phenomenon, travelling has its own problems and excitements. Don’t limit it to India, here at least people will help no matter what.
@@amoebicdysentery5846 I think the people are the best part! I can never feel the warmth I feel from people in India anywhere in the world. For me I think the only thing I struggled with at times was food hygiene and sometimes the hotel rooms were not really clean. Other than that I always have a great time!
@@peacefulbaking yes definitely the food hygiene could be much better and needs lot of improvement, even our gut isn’t 100% immune to some of the places, one should check everything before having any street food here and always try places where you find crowd. Coming over to hotel rooms thing, here this industry is massive and there are n numbers of indigenous apps available where you can find good places to stay, generally foreigners visit India depending themselves on foreign apps only, they should gather info about Indian apps beforehand as it’s pretty convenient to use as India is way more digitally advanced than rest of the countries in these segments.

Janine, glad to hear you are on the mend. Just to mention if you leave a bowl of hot water with either menthyl crystals, small pinch or eucalyptus oil, couple of drops over night in bedroom, it should help with your throat, as the air can be too dry. Awesome Palace. Lovely food. ❤

(SORE throat in MySORE) But its so nice to see you take care of her the way you did. She's indeed lucky to have such a loving husband. You can approach a local doctor at any time as it's not as challenging as here in the UK to find one. Hope and pray that she recovers completely and quickly. You guys deserve to rest. Done thousans of miles in India on a Bullet, Bangalore is a real pain - the best thing about it is the road out. Mysore on the on the other hand is spectacular we always loved it. It was a must go destination. We had our own favourite hotel, who looked after us and restaurants who sorted us out at different times of the day. The best one was the Ritz which no longer exists. The name says it all - loved it. Does Greens still exist? A real dive but if you needed a drink it was the place to go. Go to Kushalnagar and take a side road to Sera, its the best experience you will ever have, guaranteed. Lots of happy vibes, Robb Bullet Wallah

FYI any type of card can fit for electricity/lights switch on, even a store loyalty card.
You always fit so much in. All the amazing food and beautiful buildings. Glad you are feeling better Janine. Keep up the eucalyptus inhaling, salt water gargling and pineapple drinking to sooth your throat. If you use a key card for the electricity you can us any plastic card to keep the electric running. Don't be afraid to go to a local doctor.. fees is not much(in govt. hospitals it is free).. he/she will sort you out in 1-2 days.. Indian doctors are very good..

Bangalore ( I don’t know about Mysore) has a lot of Pollen so some of my friends who have allergies to Pollen suffer there. Btw in india recently in the last couple of years they have something called Vicks 3-in-1 .. I was astonished how quickly it solved my bad throat and flu like symptoms. I now carry it whenever I travel even abroad. Not sure what this new formulation is, but I found it very effective. And recently I had shared it with an elderly couple and it helped them too.. so it must be something new. Keep it handy while traveling.
