      Hardly. Politically correct nonsense. Try googling "best boys miles times" or equivalent. These COLLEGE women are not even in the same universe as high school boys. Well, it's like that with most sports. The elite women are much more athletic than the average man but they can't compete with the elite men. The Williams sisters could easily beat the average man tennis player but they'd be ranked about 700 in pro men's tennis. If there are only 700 tennis players in the world who will beat you in a match more often than not you are still an excellent tennis player, just not a world-class one.

      @robt555 They're implying how boys high school miles are alot faster and typically under 5 minutes when they're a junior/senior. College athletes are even faster with a select few being even sub 4 which is an extremely difficult accomplishment. Just because they're stating their college running time doesn't mean that highschoolers can't be faster.

People are saying it really isn’t that fast, well she was faster than all the other women college athletes in the entire country at this distance. She is also from Australia, there are athletes that get scholarships from around the world to run in the USA.

    In 7th grade the school had a presidential thing I forgot exactly what they called it but we had to run around folding chairs that were marked to run around. My coach told me to run around them and stop when he blows the whistle. He didn’t tell me it was for 6 minutes. I sprinted the whole 6 minutes. After the race I went to the ground and I thought my heart was going to explode. When I got home I told my mom the distance around the chairs. She said it was 1 3/4 miles that I ran in 6 minutes. I loved running back then. I’m 48 now and just remember the good old days.

    Not to be racist but it's nice to see other races wining a race. No natural advantages just pure effort and hard work.

    • @skipdebimbopska
      @skipdebimbopska 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tell me how would you determine if a performance is due to a 'natural advantage' or hard work and effort. All top athletes have a 'natural advantage'. I am not saying there isnt a corrrelation between certain performances and certain human groups (both of which are arbitrarily determined and valued). I'm hoping to set you on course here to come to the conclusion that the comparison of people is absurd. It still can be fun of course

    • @dant3113
      @dant3113 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@skipdebimbopska Havent you noticed the black race dominates most of the sport industry. Why because they have a natural advantage over mostly any race. Whether it is through height, strength,speed, muscular or cardiovascular endurance. They work hard of course to be the elite athletes they are but most are already born with it so seeing a black athlete winning a competition is not impressive anymore. I've been an athlete all my life and while training the same way it is incredible to see how much faster a black athlete gains muscle, speed,strength etc. I'd have to work tree times as hard to be able to keep up. So seeing someone else winning is in fact impressive to me.

    • @skipdebimbopska
      @skipdebimbopska 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dant3113 rocky h i am not denying any of that, to be sure. Of course what you are saying is correct. I am just saying that yes apparently black people are more likely to perform good at sports. Also lots are not good at sports. Same goes for other races. Look at the population as a whole, then take out all the gifted athletes. Most probably you will see a division which you would expect (more black than non black people). Of course this depends on what specific qualities you value but lets not get into that. Now out of that group of gifted athletes, look at those that are not black. They are just as gifted and owners of a natural advantage. Just because someone is white does not mean they cannot have a natural advantage. So I would not say the performance is more impressive, its just something thats statistically unlikely. Its something that does not occur too much, like green eyes for example. Thats not what I call impressive, its just rare. However, people tend to value rarities and thats fine, only I dont see how you draw the conclusion that solely because someone is white, their perfomance is more due to effort. I do agree it is more remarkable because of the unlikeliness.
