I have heard this piece so many times. Never so beautifully played with a perfect balance or romance and drama. What a marvelous they produce. Marvelous!
What a triumphant rendition of Franz Schubert: Lebenssturme by Lucas and Arthur Jussen! The brothers are amazing, everything they play is a pure delight. Thank you for upload.
They are so amazing, I can’t understand why I’ve never once heard them on the air! I rotate through half a dozen classical stations every morning (for about four hours) and not once have I heard their names. It’s very disappointing. Of course, seeing them is half the pleasure. Always a delight.
As always your playing is without a doubt absolutely brilliant and extremely exquisite, and you are so incredibly talented and gifted too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤❤
Just spent another session with this performance, and I feel obliged to refine my previous comment. It's not just technical aspects like dynamic contrast and rubato, as my earlier comment mentions. What's really great is the way they give each phrase its own wholly unique character. This is especially breathtaking in the exposition where the differences in approach to each thematic element are so eloquently expressed and clearly differentiated from one another. And then there's the touch! Especially in their legato playing, which has become the equal of Perahia...and of Pires (as might be expected). The boys have really grown up and deserve to take their place among the greats. Having developed the chops, as demonstrated in their earlier performance of this work, they have now moved on to the kind of individual mastery and expressivity found only in world class performers. They've just become so good I can hardly stand it!
An even more mature and subtle performance of this work than their earlier performance available on TH-cam (Dortmund, 2019). Ensemble is just as good, but this new performance has even better use of dynamic contrasts and rubato, and (ahem) a more delicate use of pedal. The best gets even better.
Amazing. Excellent acoustics and recording in Amsterdam Concertgebouw. As if I can feel Schubert's emotions. What an incredible peace of mind it radiates, not really Lebensstuerme like the commercial publisher came up with after his death.
Despite its historical origins in Western Europe, classical music has a universal appeal that resonates with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Its beauty transcends linguistic and cultural barriers, fostering a sense of unity and shared human experience.
But it still is our heritage and one that would have never developed as it has anywhere else. We should be proud to inherit our cultural heritage and ensure it continues to be nurtured and passed forward.
Seems to me you are doing a great job indeed, yeah, if only music could rule the world and let it sound just this good, fans are always here to encourage you the best we can ❤🎉❤
One can only say that Jussen brothers are of the greatest musicians not only of our time... Can one imagine the better piano duo in the whole history?!
Kia Ora (Hello) Such majestic melodies. You both are just supernatural artists. Wonderful way to start my day Monday 9.45am New Zealand. Thank you so much ♥
This piece was composed in May 1828, about 6 months before Schubert's death at age 31. It was published in 1840. It's a classic -- the score should be easy to find.

Fascinating using only one piano. Beautiful!

If I hadn't sensed it, I wouldn't be watching this within 24 hours. Always glad to hear their playing in sync.
I like these amazing pianists, they are special and very blessed to enjoying the audience!

Wow they still look as good as ever :p
Great to begin the new week. Warm greetings from Istanbul. Amazing piece by Schubert right after the rather dark D 946.
So clean!
Thank you guys from your Australian admirer!!!
you mean 'one of your many Australian admirers'
@@melissaraven3164 Yup. They would love to come here but said that it would need to be a tour consisting of more than 1 concert or recital!!

Maybe consider looking at argerich duo's?
@@Mehrshad84 but only the Jussen brothers can play from memory and with this much feeling in my opinion. The argerich duo’s do play very well too.
Passer une nuit avec eux 😋😝👅👅👅
Kontarsky brothers. Katia @ Marielle Labeque. Hamelin/Andsnes? No?
They are enormously fantastic!!!
Holy shit
❤❤

LOUISIANE....superbement....magie....ils sont exceptionnels....
👍✅
In others' hands this can sound lumpy and all-over-the-place. NOT with Lucas and Arthur Jussen. They bring happily to life.
No hay traductor.
Holland's Finest!
First time I see Arthur take the upper part…
Tu much gymnastic with the head!
It is outrageous to put in a commercial within the first minute of concert

Very good performance. But not a really good Steinway.
Great playing but real pianists DO NOT share their keyboard. Sorry.
Not so good. Should work more on the tempo
And @concertgebouw Amsterdam. The best combination there is 😍
