These young men play this piece with such precision, dexterity and passion, that I'm sure Mozart would be impressed. I have listened to it at least 50 times over the last few months when I first found it and each time, I enjoy it even more. Bravo Lucas and Arthur Jussen for your incredible talent and passion.

@Mermaid Kate🎹 I love all of them for sure, and especially this one K 448 for two pianos, but if I had to choose another favorite it would be: Mozart Sonata C Major K. 309.

This is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful compositions (sonate) by this genius of the classical period. One of the few pieces for two pianos he composed. This sonata (448) was used in the scientific study that tested the theory of the Mozart effect, suggesting that classical music increases brain activity more positively than other kinds of music: "According to the British Epilepsy Organization, research has suggested that Mozart's K 448 can have the "Mozart effect", in that listening to the piano sonata improved spatial reasoning skills and reduced the number of seizures in people with epilepsy. Apart from the Mozart Concerto K 488, only one other piece of music has been found to have a similar effect, a song by the Greek composer Yanni, entitled "Acroyali/Standing In Motion", It was determined to have the "Mozart effect", by the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine because it was similar to Mozart's K 448 in tempo, structure, melodic and harmonic consonance and predictability " Mozart composed this sonata when he was around these young pianists' age (25) You interpret this sonata like angels. I guess, you can't get any more Mozartian than this ... Bravi!!!

@@billyves1 I don't think anyone is "worrying" about their being back on stage, but I too was heartbroken that I missed both opportunities to hear their contribution to the celebration of Beethoven's birthday. I can't imagine the planning necessary to get that much music programmed. I had tickets to the first at the Doelen in Rotterdam in March and again for Amsterdam when they were to play virtually the same lineup as in December. I'm sure Beethoven has also shed tears about what has happened to the wonderful music that sadly was not heard during the celebration of his 250th birthday.
Most have probably seen their TH-cam video of the abbreviated program followed by an interview at the Doelen. It's not to be missed. They talk about how Covid has affected them as well as the whole world and the disappointment which came from having to cancel so many programs. For me, both were very uplifting.

Specifically for comparison, I just listened to the very excellent Barenboim/Argerich recording of the same piece (also available on TH-cam). And the difference between the two is just what I thought it would be. The Jussen brothers' ensemble playing is without parallel. As the two go their separate ways as performers, I hope they continue to record together sometimes, because as good as each of them is, the remarkable unity of their performances as a duo is something too absolutely unique to lose.

That's what I'm thinking too... that there's something special about this particular sonata. It's like anyone advanced enough can play it in duet, but the piece needs deeper connection between the two pianists in order to show its real beauty.... It's as if mozart put a spell on it, that only people connected in a spiritual level can play this exceptionally well.

As for this music, I only just ran into these brothers here. The piano seems to be a part of them. They should play blindfold ! I'm no great - forget the word -"officionado ?" of Mozart,, yet somehow it is clear that they get it Right !. @@gerardvaughan1847 No! There's no dative left in English; it disappeared, or rather combined with the accusative, when Old English and Norman French joined to produce Middle English. "Whom" is accusative, although it seems to have mostly disappeared from spoken English, and many people are unsure how to use it -- witness the above comment. Actually, the writer of the comment is probably uncertain whether "who" is the direct object of "have seen" or the subject of "perform". In fact, the former is the case, as one can see if one extracts the relative clause into the declarative form "I have seen them perform other works." So "whom" is correct.
