So so beautiful. When Arthur plays it’s pure magic. Every note is a poem every note matters. Such a deep soul. Any piece I want to hear I first check to seee if one of the Jussen brothers has recorded it. They just have this unique touch that no other pianist can duplicate. I love you and thank you.

What a wonderful performance! I always appreciate artists who don’t rush any passages that shouldn’t be rushed, and when I can hear each and every note-especially in sections with lots of 8th and 16th notes (and the like) played in sweeping passages. After listening to recordings by 2 other pianists, I REALLY appreciate this one!

Schumann's music just brings me to tears every time I hear it, when it is performed with such grace and dignity to his gifts.
Everyone here should be so proud, each member of the orchestra, Maestro Collon, Arthur, and yes the audio engineer. Cameras and editing too, nice nice nice....

Marvelous performance by the young Arthur! The piano plays almost continuously in this piece, without pauses. The memory work alone is fantastic, but Arthur Jussen adds his own artistic subtleties and sensitivity to the score. Long may he play, and long may his brother play!

I have always enjoyed listening to it, but this performance is special for sure. It is true that this is a very orchestra-forward concerto, but Rachmaninoff did that too at times. Having the piano accompany the orchestra at times instead of the other way around makes for some beautiful textures not achieved otherwise.

This very morning I listened to Martha and I agree there is a lack of the sensitivity which Arthur brings. This performance is wonderfully handled by the technicians. Great balance between all. Why on earth would I need notes on paper? It's all in my head...

I know what you mean, but it takes a ton of practice to get it off the paper and into your head, not to mention the hands/fingers. Also, it's a good thing that when Schumann asked himself that question, he thought to have it all in his head wasn't enough and decided to write it down for the rest of us, the notes on paper, otherwise we would not be hearing it today.

In your head and in your hands. Repeating so many times and so many hours head and hands remember everything.
