Hey LFA ladies! So nice to spend some time knitting with you! I feel the same about Mother’s day, the pressure on your kids and your Mom, it’s just too much, yet I am so blessed to have kids that want to spend time with me, and two little grandsons that are the best EVER! Looking forward to the whole skeins from the DK mini collection! 😎
Hubby and the kids took me out to breakfast today for Mother’s Day. My kids gave me a hand made card (so cute), one daughter painted a picture for me, I got a shirt, the third book in the ACOTAR series, a gift card for a massage and a framed picture of all my kids from my daughters wedding…which made me cry. They really spoiled me this year. Tomorrow I plan to sleep in and knit/crochet all day.
My daughter in law started giving me flowers on each of my children’s birthdays. That’s such a lovely tribute to me as their mom. Traditional Mother’s Day is a tricky deal for so many.
I love your perspective on Mother’s Day. I so agree with you on just enjoying the ordinary. It’s not that I don’t love my children or I’m proud of being a mother, but I feel that that particular day can cause a lot of pain and sadness for many people. Love your podcast love, your yarn thank you so much!
I looooovvvveeed the mother day talk. My husband and I were laughing, but it's soooo accurate. You gals are so so right. Happy Mother's day to you both! May you have lots of peace and quiet. haha! All the best! Kimberly
It is Mother's Day and my 6oth birthday on Monday, so it has always been hard on my family. This year, my husband got me a Juki industrial sewing machine! We are also going to visit my daughter Samantha in Florida for my grandson's 10th birthday next Monday! I'm supper excited! I hope you get to do what you like. Happy Mother's Day to both of you! You both are amazing, Mom's!❤❤❤
Spot on with the Mothers Day chat!! Mothers Day is sad for me without my Mom and all I really want is for everyone to leave me home alone for the entire day! 😊
My mom has been gone eight years we used to come down go to Kentucky fried chicken get all the fixings take it to her house and then when we got through eating, I do the dishes real quick because hand washed and then we just sit whatever whether I made it or bought itshe cried I love Mother’s Day, but I will be all alone this Mother’s Day and that’s fine. I know my kids are with their mates and they’re having a good time with their families and that fulfills me.
I so agree about the pressure of Mother and Fathers Days. My husband gets upset that our son and his family go to his in laws for the holidays but that’s a large family and lots of cousins etc. This year I took Wednesday afternoon off and we met them for dinner at a lovely restaurant right on the Chesapeake Bay. No crowds and it was super relaxed. Chelsea, I totally agree about wanting to spend the day at home by myself when our son was little! This year I want to put a roast in the slow cooker and spend the day in the garden 😊
Oh we absolutely ARE best friends, Sue (last name Neal 🥰) I am dying for my green fabric to arrive so I can start! Also, I caked my skeins tonight so I’m one step closer to being a sock knitter!
Mothers want to be alone on Mother's Day and we want the fathers to do something with the kids on Father's Day (without us). At least when my kids were younger and needed more attention I felt that way.
Why don't you do a little part in the stitching. Wouldn't that be wonderful. Something to love and hold onto forever. I'm just saying. :) On Mother's Day if they want to give you something why don't you suggest giving to a charity of your recommendation.
Cash for yarn, yes❣️Happy Mother’s Days ladies🦋
I am also obsessed with pajamas 😍 made my day to have that bonus content. Happy mother's day!
Oh my gosh! I totally agree with you about Mother's Day!

Paige and I and her husband are celebrating our childless Mothers Day by playing Mah Jong together and eating NJ strawberry shortcake ❤️

Hello Ladies from Swansea. Illinois.
Just getting back into reading……. And I’m loving “ordinary monsters” by JM Miro. Chapter 1: hooked!
It’s the eye of partridge heel flap
Oh we absolutely ARE best friends, Sue (last name Neal 🥰) I am dying for my green fabric to arrive so I can start! Also, I caked my skeins tonight so I’m one step closer to being a sock knitter!
Way behind in catching up with you ladies but I feel that Chelsea would love Kathy Barrick patterns, like “Frederick”, “Cooper” or “BR Moth”
I am so glad your stitching Peacorn Badger 😂 on a light fabric. Stitching on dark fabric is no fun in my opinion.
I am going to elect Chel as the ambassador of our new “Surprise Holiday “. Please make it happen in 2025. 😂

Why not stitch the little characters you draw for the girls!
