I sewed my first skirt last year! I used the gypsum skirt from sew liberated. I get SO OVERWHELMED with sewing, and what helped me was to do one step at a time and then walk away. First day I cut out the pattern and cut my fabric. The next day I sewed the pieces of the skirt together. The next day I did the waistband. The next day I hemmed. AND they have a tutorial on how to do this skirt, it's not as detailed as I would personally like, BUT it gives you a base to work off of. I used my dining table and just used it as my sewing station for a few days!
Love all of your Halloween colors! I think seeing Corpse Bride, Nightmare Before Christmas, Sleepy Hollow, Beetlejuice 2 yarns would be amazing! Really anything Tim Burton inspired.
Love your chatty podcast. You guys are amazing. I love @sewliberated patterns & her #estuaryskirt is gorgeous!! Happy exploring & making. You can do it!! 🤗🎉🧶🌸 thank you for your enthusiasm & joy of life. Your visualizing / law of attraction is definitely a thing. Love your new yarn dyeing studio space. 😍😍
Not a Halloween movie but a series of yarns for A Discovery of Witches would be amazing! Particularly the character, Gallowglass! Love the new studio. Enjoy your new space!❤
Sue it is so funny about the washcloths & straight wooden needle. I have made these washcloths for my kitchen for decades. I only use straight needles for this project because there is something about circular that I cannot do them with. Oh & I bought wooden ones just for the washcloths. I have a little basket that is just my washcloth basket
Enjoy your new space! Love your podcasts and I must try your yarn! I’ll throw in two classics for me The Godfather and Gladiator as colour inspo 🤭?? ❤️🧶
I'm absolutely sure that you can sew. Take it slowly, one step at a time. The pattern instructions are usually great and nowadays TH-cam has tutorials for the pattern you're sewing.
So honored to have my Musselburgh make the podcast! 😉 Also I just started Schitt’s Creek again 2 days ago probably my 4th or 5th time watching it and Fruity Pebbles Rice Krispies are the best rice Kristy treats! I shouted out “Yes” so many times during this podcast my husband’s probably starting to wonder what’s going on in here 😂😂😂
Will you be my mom so I can shop at your house too.😊 Such beautiful yarn. Side note started watching Loudermilk. So funny. Wish Cutter was my sponsor Hoping he comes back for season 5. 🎉🎉🎉 Happy Fourth and needles Up.
The new studio space looks phenomenal! Y'all have dyed some of my favorite Halloween movies but another one that came to mind was the Haunted Mansion. I watched the new one last year and will be adding it to my rotation! Also love Sleepy Hollow. I love the idea of colors inspired by Halloween/Fall books, too! I also want to add that I wear a size women's 11 and I use micro sets, too! I can't make my leg as long as yours but it is doable 🙂
I laugh because in my household I am the one obsessed with Tour de France! I don’t even own a bike 😂. All of my friend hate talking to me in July! I can only spin in small stints because of back issues so I do “tour de feet” and sock knit during each stage!
I think you're thinking of Beetlejuice 2 that is coming out in September. The actress that plays Wednesday is in it and that's where the confusion is happening. BUT Beetlejuice would be such a fun movie to base some colorways on!!!
Chelsey and Sue. I just absolutely love your emotional support chicken kits!! If I lived in the USA I would add to cart immediately!! Shipping to South Africa would cost the same a buying an entire chicken farm tho😢
Enjoyed the show so much! Your studio is amazing ladies I am so very happy for y’all. My favorite Halloween movie is Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp It’s so scary!
What a great new space for crooked fiber!!! Sue do you think the satsuma stitching kits are beginner friendly? They are stitched on paper??? I just love the idea! Love all the socks Chelsea! I’m heading to the shop to get some micro sets! The best and so affordable 💜 thank you both! Steph 🎉
If you want to see skirt inspiration, watch the It Is A Sarah podcast episode Estuary Skirt and get inspired. She is a knitter and crocheter and newly dabbles in sewing.
Are y’all willing to build a 7 skein fade for a customer? My birthday is coming up and I want to start another Andrea Mowry fade but I get so overwhelmed trying to build the fade.
I know it’s not a typical movie like you’ve done but it’s not Halloween until I’ve watched The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.

All of these are so beautiful! ❤ my suggestion is Halloween Town, my daughter loved that movie when she was little 🧡🖤

Legend of Sleepy Hollow, an all time favorite.

Congratulations 👏👏👏 what a beautiful space to create in.
It's not one movie, but would love a Universal Monster collection.
I’m soooo happy for you Sue! Having a work space that works is such a game changer for sure! I know your going to enjoy dying so much more🥰🥰

Love you guys together. Was wondering what yarn Sue is using for the wash cloths? thanks
It’s not necessarily a Halloween show, but I love the TV show “Good Witch”. It has a lot of fall themes/colors.

The studio is amazing!
Sue, I hope you will be stitching the Halloween Mystery House by Satsuma Street! It will be fun!
Ladies, Those Twins Who Knit both like to sew and make the cutest things. Check them out.

Love love love you two! ❤ How about Twister movie. There’s a new one coming in July called Twisters. Based on the original.
