Thank you so much Catherine! Another wonderful on-the-go slow stitching project that I can hardly wait to make! I’ve started a journal featuring your projects and writing the instructions and source in the journal along with a small piece of the work. I also do not care where you work or what your background is….I love your voice and teaching style. If I need to see closer, I zoom in.
I simply loved Mondays slow stitch. It made me think that if our lives feel a little crumpled it can be made beautiful with mindfulness and slowing down. I will be doing it again and again. ❤
Dear Katherine, Thank you for all your videos. The wrinkle cloth on Monday was perfect for my limitations and I enjoyed making it. Your hands are looking lovely. Your new life really suits them. Love to you and your four-legged family
Darling! I made a denim / lace bedspread from this pattern. Did not know it was a Japanese pattern. Left the edges raw and when it was washed, the edges fluffed and it looked awesome. Down side, had to be pressed flat again. Next time it's cleaned, I'll have it done professionally. Love watching your videos. Learn something new every time. Thanks for sharing
Oo, another UFO lingering in my sewing room. Check out the other secondary patterns you can make when you turn every second block over in a chequered pattern. Lots of options. I really should get that one out someday too. You and Jeri Bellini have me adding extra projects to my list, both new and very old forgotten projects.
hi Kathryn, what a good idea again, thank you for teaching us,I am going to make a pouch ,I wish I had more hours in a day so that I could make a hole lot of your wonderfull ideas ❤️
Hi Kathryn, this is such a sweet idea. I have been making rice bags and boho pouches for all my girls. Now 😅 have another idea! lol thank you so much, love Bella❤❤
I’m doing them raw edges. I’m using blanket stitch on the circle, which leaves the corners quite nicely, at least for what I’m using them, which is a scrappy quilt. I don’t know if that would be to most people’s liking, but you’ll be able to see it on the facebook group 😊 It was so nice of Fredfred to come and greet us, although he didn’t show his cute face 🐈❤️🩵💜💛🩷🤎💙🩶🧡💚♥️
I've had 2 days of snow in Kidderminster. I love this project but will save it for now as I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by things I want to do! But like the idea of multi coloured x
I would love to make your kitchen table quilt...it's so beautiful. I'd love to see more of it. Just found you recently. I'm really enjoying the relaxed feel and the great techniques you're showing. Thanks very much.
Another wonderful technique to learn, thank you 😊 I love the secondary pattern created. I imagine there’s many fabric variations to play with on this one. Great idea having a different background cloth for each video ‘theme’. 💚🤍🤎 I haven’t made a rice bag yet 😂😮
Hello Kathryn, the sun is shining and I'm enjoying a quiet moment watching this. Your pouch brought back memories of the days when we wore stockings and a suspender belt - we kept our stockings, folded up in pairs, in lightly padded "pouches", made from satin, the flap fastened with a ribbon. Very boudoir. . The stockings either had seams up the back, or were seamless, when laid flat they had an obvious shape for the calves. And they had very little stretch. And they were sold by foot size. I think mine was a 9.5, so presumably inches? They weren't lock stitched so they laddered very easily. And our dry cleaners had a machine which a person sat at, in the window for good lighting, and actually repaired those minute ladders the machine knitting up them. . And then tights became the norm... small, medium, large, x large. X❤
@@elineeugenie5224 Must have been around the last half of the '50s., so yes, a long time ago. Started work' '61 - always had packs of spare stockings in the desk - couldn't possibly go to a work promotion or lunch out wearing laddetrd stockings! And one pair in the handbag. E❤
It's not the same craft, but these remind me of a minute paper & cardboard box i have, that has these tiny folds, very regular, around the top and a small circle with roses on. Synchronicity... As i type 'circle' you said the word... 😊😊 Snowing. After market on foot through that, lunch then bath. Hmm I think you combine wonkiness with beautiful attention to detail❤ PS i love how in each of the little screens, the flowery pattern shows a bit differently
Hello lovely Kathryn, so happy to know I contributed to your wonkiness (we really have the weirdest kind of compliments in this community)😊 I was wondering if you have one of those grey felt ironing mats (not meant for ironing in your case, oh no no!)? You can cover them with a nice cloth for each different project, put all your stitching gear on it and pick them up as a tray and stitch wherever you want, even on your lap. I find it really convenient and would love to send you one as a Christmas present. Love the shape of these blocks!🍀💖💐🥰😍
If you stitch the doggy jacket first, you can wax it after to waterproof it. I've seen it done a few times, but have not had the chance to do it myself yet.
I quite prefer the pale green background- enough contrast to see and not distracting with too many details.. neutral is the word. Patchwork is lovely but not neutral- I found myself immersed in it not looking at what you wanted me to see. But, that’s my issue not yours. Just keep on doing your thing.

I don't care if you sew on the bathroom floor. I like listening and watching and learning from you love this video 😊
About the clattering, right? I agree
Thirsting for fellow creatives' company ❤
Oooooh! A bathroom floor journal project....lol

Thank you for teaching us such wonderful stitching projects! I always look forward to each of your videos. God bless your day.🙂
Finding you for Wonky Wednesday is a great compensation for waking up at 3 in the morning! I like this little piece. Thank you. 😊

Thank you for such a lovely simple and effective project.
Love this, thank you…we used to call it a cathedral window. Nice to know where it originated.
Seeing your own handiwork close up shows how inventive you are. E❤

Scarborough is under snow. Even the beach is covered at 3:25pm. I'm sitting watching the sea and K3n sewing at the same time.😂😊

Wow , this is stunning 🥰 and hopefully not to hard to make. Thank you, K3N ❤
Oh, and I love the quilt tablecloth and also find the plainer green cloth helpful in its simplicity. Both are peachy.
I agree

Another fantastic technic Kathryn, thankyou, ❤
This is similar to the traditional cathedral window quilt block. Very nice

Perfect for the japanese rice bag.
I try it. I love the japanese bag.

Bonjour, des Htes Alpes.Belle idée et beau rendu.
Sûrement neigeux en ce moment ? 😊

I never gave it a thought. If you sit where you're comfortable then I'm find with the background.

Isn't this called "Cathedral Window"?
Fun project, thanks for sharing. Your green background is fine too, what ever you enjoy working on. 🧵🪡♥️
What's a rice bag?
