I totally understand people want Michael Ironsides back. But father time is undefeated, If I’m not mistaken I think had health issues that’s why he stepped away. As long as the next guy to take the mantle stays true to the character.
Huge splinter cell fan here.and yeah i agree 100%.Ironside made Sam who he is,but yeah,he cant go on forever, and tbh he wont fit in the remake.Just like batman voice actors, you can find someone to be in the spirit of sam fisher.
I was absolutely disappointed that they didn't reveal or say anything about it...but I have been for the past 10 years. This is my favorite franchise and it needs to continue.
The first 2 came out when I was in High school and Chaos theory my fav (Year after I graduated). I fell in love with the series! It was such a great experience! I am impatiently waiting for the remake!!! My top 3: 1. Chaos Theory 2. Blacklist 3. Splinter Cell
I'm really hoping this remake is still happening because I'd love for it to serve as an entry point for me to get into this series because I'm a big fan of the stealth action genre.
The remake needs opportunity and secondary missions that started in Chaos Theory. Maybe even have flashbacks of when he was younger and have blacklist voice actor and still use Michael Ironside. It needs the best gameplay from Chaos Theory and Conviction balanced together. Also look at MGS5 (despite Blacklist and conviction did it before MGS5.)
If they can make a new protagonist that creates his own character then im all supportive of Sam leaving. It's when someone tries to be Michael Ironside that ruffles my feathers. It would be a good opportunity to keep Sam in the splinter cell series as a voice in your head back at mission control, giving clues and hints and mission support, much like a capcom in NASA talks to Astronauts, is always done by a fellow astronaut. We need Fisher (Ironsides) humor heckling the new guy over the radio. Hell maybe Fisher could just be MISSION DIRECTOR or deputy director. Just look at Ironside playing leadership roles in his movies, imagine a really angry Fisher telling you the missions over or that you triggered an alarm? 😄
Honestly, there could be a Splinter Cell without Sam Fisher... as the main character. The man deserves to be retired from the field and be the new Lambert.
I think the reason it's taking so long is because they keep making dumb decisions and then seeing somewhere that people don't want what they're doing so they end up scrapping it. I believe there was a small leak that Splinter Cell had it's own version of Battle Royale. Nothing confirmed on it but there was also a rumor that an open world Splinter Cell was cancelled. I'm hoping they just use a budget that matches the niche audience of this franchise. They need to just make a good Splinter Cell game and if it is built with a small budget then so be it, just make it a good Splinter Cell game. If the audience is small, make the budget small. Games can still be absolutely outstanding on small budgets but Ubisoft wastes so much money on film budget cutscenes and stupid effects that nobody cares about and the gameplay itself is clearly an afterthought. Then when it breaks even at best, they blame the genre rather than how much money they wasted on things nobody cares about.
If Splinter Cell is in some kind of development hell or just stagnant, Ubisoft should take the money and either license or sell the IP outright. They could use the cash given the issues within Ubi at this point late in 2024. We've gotten more info on Black Flag recently and still no update on SC.
I agree with you, but let's face it. This remake will be a success because the wait has been too long. But it's the following games that risk not selling well if the gameplay is too similar to Chaos Theory. Expectations have changed nowadays, the general public wants to do Stealth Kills and have a multitude of weapons/gadgets, to have the choice of either not killing anyone or going on a John Wick-style massacre. Only ghosting or playing a fragile character, SLOW-stealth game, the old-fashioned stealth doesn't appeal to the general public. It just appeals to purists and hardcore stealth game fans. And that won't be enough to give the franchise a future.
@@TheeCambion The latest news is that the Remake will have modernised gameplay and redesigned environments for a better level design. I think stealth kills or aggressive gameplay will be part of it, along with the possibility of Ghosting. I don't think Sam will be as fragile as he was in the first games. On the one hand it's a bit logical, we're playing a character who's a former Navy Seals T6 and CIA agent. For me, as long as the stealth approach is the most important, I have nothing against it.
Sam Fisher was never in Seal Team 6 in the OG Splinter Cell games he was only Seal Team 3 and CIA but Ubisoft with all their wisdom decided to change the story/lore of the games for better or worse
Tired of remakes. Tired of modern Ubisoft. Not need for remakes. Better make a sequel. They won't need to rely on Sam Fisher. But I still have no hope for a good Splinter Cell from Ubisoft. I really enjoy Blacklist, but don't trust modern Ubisoft with anything related to "gaming".
What Ubisoft needs to do, it's a new Splinter Cell character, different person and voice, darker, more brutal story, a true spy ghosting his way and enemies, without the family friendly restrictions. A game for adults.
At this point, unless they give it to Bordeaux, with total creative control, Ubisoft will just screw it up, make it some kind of half assed looter shooter rpg first person multiplayer sandbox battle Royal Macro transaction online only dumpster fire I personally feel, if Shadows fails, they’ll shelve it once again, afraid that fans won’t buy it.
I used to think Michael Ironside was essential to Sam Fisher as well, but i loved Blacklist because of the gameplay, even though the new voice actor completely changed the dynamic of the character. I think Sam needs a new voice actor to give LIFE to the character, not so monotonous. And i think they need to focus like 90% less on "MuH GrAfFiX", and 110% more on making the character NOT BORING and the gameplay SMOOTH and BRUTAL. If the gameplay is even remotely close to Blacklist, I'll love it.
The main reason why Ubisoft games take time to develop is because the studio's stock market action went down like hell since 2020 (coronavirus). It's nothing else, no matter what anyone can say, and this is the case of a lot of studios.
@@ScribeAlicious Yes, back in the days they were used to dev a game in a year. Even huge games like Ghost Recon Wildlands took them 1yr and half to dev, and since the pandemic most of devs do work from home, and not at the office anymore... Now it takes like 3 years for one damn game.
Nobody can convince me that the Indonesian jungle level from Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and the African city level from Splinter Cell Double Agent weren't plagiarized by Konami in MGS3 and MGS4 respectively.
Honestly I don’t even care if Micheal Ironside is in the new one anymore. Blacklist set up Briggs to take Sam’s place anyway. Ubisoft could place Sam in a mentor role guiding Briggs during missions how Lambert used to. No weird serum to keep Sam young or confusing clones all named snake. Just an honest continuation of the story that pays respect to its original protagonist while also letting him retire. Assassins creed has remained successful and relevant (mostly) and it switches protagonists game to game at this point. So I see no reason why Splinter Cell should die with Sam Fisher.
I could easily accept a new voice for Sam Fisher or even a new cell. The problem is that they drastically changed Sam after CT, and in Blacklist, he was extremely different, as were the other characters, and none of the characters were good. Plus, the story was bad. The biggest problem is that the gameplay was not good. They didn't even seem to understand the atmosphere needed for the I.P.
Maybe Disney made Ubisoft hold back from showing anything at Ubisoft forward. Maybe they thought a Splinter Cell announcement would overshadow Star Wars Outlaws.
Not gonna lie, I hope all this wait is due to some kind of Story implementations like more missions because the original only had 10 missions plus a few DLC missions. Dont get me wrong I love Splinter Cell but ten missions today for $70 is gonna piss people off. They gotta add more content like either Spys vs Mercs or the Remake should be the first three games as one.

Is that not what they're doing?
I totally understand people want Michael Ironsides back. But father time is undefeated, If I’m not mistaken I think had health issues that’s why he stepped away. As long as the next guy to take the mantle stays true to the character.
Huge splinter cell fan here.and yeah i agree 100%.Ironside made Sam who he is,but yeah,he cant go on forever, and tbh he wont fit in the remake.Just like batman voice actors, you can find someone to be in the spirit of sam fisher.
Ibr I want the blacklist movement though, blacklist was sooo clean when you compare it to like double agent
I was absolutely disappointed that they didn't reveal or say anything about it...but I have been for the past 10 years. This is my favorite franchise and it needs to continue.
They officially said they're still working on it like two weeks ago
The first 2 came out when I was in High school and Chaos theory my fav (Year after I graduated). I fell in love with the series! It was such a great experience! I am impatiently waiting for the remake!!!
My top 3:
1. Chaos Theory
2. Blacklist
3. Splinter Cell
I'm really hoping this remake is still happening because I'd love for it to serve as an entry point for me to get into this series because I'm a big fan of the stealth action genre.
Don't wait for the remake, play the OG games, they are awesome and worth the time! They are backwards compatible with the Series X/S
🤮🤮🤮Open world Splinter Cell will be a disaster. 🤮🤮🤮
I remember it Fondly,I experienced my 1st Epileptic Seizure after a 18hr sesh.
Blacklist was savage so was chaos Theory but i liked the john wick parkour killing spree on multiplayer
Please make a remake of splinter cell
Modern day assassin's creed
All mainline splinter cell games got released within a span of 11 years, and its been 11 years since the last installment.
Ubisofts looking at a picture of Sam Fisher for inspiration on how to stealthy steal more money from our bank accounts 🤔
They'd just ruin it like they have everything else
And here I thought Snake wasn’t gonna be alone this year… oh well
"wow killed by a ninja, cool!"
I find it crazy how since 2020 we got AC Valhalla, Mirage and Shadows before were gonna get a "remake" from splinter cell.
Man if somehow they are cancelling it they screwed up hard
They don't. They literally said OFFICIALLY they're still working on it like two weeks ago
Bro Ubisoft is JIVING us
It’s not gonna come out soon I feel
I hated both Conviction and Blacklist. I miss the original gameplay. With todays engines, a very methodical, slow-stealth game could be incredible!
@@QuantumProtocol So don't remake splinter cell then just make a new franchise.
Splinter cell a forgetten classic that Ubisoft continues to ignore. I would love a remake but we just need a new splinter cell in general
When is this game coming to ps5
Tired of remakes. Tired of modern Ubisoft. Not need for remakes. Better make a sequel. They won't need to rely on Sam Fisher. But I still have no hope for a good Splinter Cell from Ubisoft. I really enjoy Blacklist, but don't trust modern Ubisoft with anything related to "gaming".
What Ubisoft needs to do, it's a new Splinter Cell character, different person and voice, darker, more brutal story, a true spy ghosting his way and enemies, without the family friendly restrictions. A game for adults.
I hope it's dead and buried, I don't want to find out how badly they can fumble it.
At this point, unless they give it to Bordeaux, with total creative control, Ubisoft will just screw it up, make it some kind of half assed looter shooter rpg first person multiplayer sandbox battle Royal Macro transaction online only dumpster fire
I personally feel, if Shadows fails, they’ll shelve it once again, afraid that fans won’t buy it.
Was sam killing those guys clip from remake? Or fan made
I used to think Michael Ironside was essential to Sam Fisher as well, but i loved Blacklist because of the gameplay, even though the new voice actor completely changed the dynamic of the character.
You think its JUST coronavirus? Lol
Maybe they're taking a stealth approach to such a classic game. As we all know, Splinter Cell is a stealthy game, just a suggestion.
Nobody can convince me that the Indonesian jungle level from Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow and the African city level from Splinter Cell Double Agent weren't plagiarized by Konami in MGS3 and MGS4 respectively.
Splinter Cell Remake started development between 2020 and 2021.
My guess on release is 2025 2026
Honestly I don’t even care if Micheal Ironside is in the new one anymore.
How’s that turning out
still no video on captain laserhawk :(
Please make a new splinter cell blacklist 2
Not gonna lie, I hope all this wait is due to some kind of Story implementations like more missions because the original only had 10 missions plus a few DLC missions. Dont get me wrong I love Splinter Cell but ten missions today for $70 is gonna piss people off. They gotta add more content like either Spys vs Mercs or the Remake should be the first three games as one.
its very hard to wait...
They are moving in the shadows,
Just like sam does.
They believe its enough on its own, so they probably will announce it late summer/early fall.
Hello master assassin I just wanted to say that I really love your videos. Im mainly here for the assassins creed but I enjoy some of the other stuff as well. This is day one of asking u to do a full playthrough of ac black flag my favorite game. Also I wanted to mention that my actual name is Desmond which I thing is kinda cool because of Desmond Miles.
lets be honest.. the days of spliter cell are counted and ubi knows that.. this is why they dont put a lot of money into it.. because this genre simple doesnt sell. it cant make the money back completly not ignoring how much we loved it and would still.. but we are not enough.
the best they could do would implement all splinter mechanics into the next ghost recon game. having an optional fisher experience there would be amazing
Two remakes I would love from Ubisoft, Splinter Cell and Rainbow six Vegas.
They are obviously making it stealthily with lights off wearing night vision googles.
ironic how the origional fans of these games that they are remaking are now nearing middle age and i doubt there is a chance of new fans. but who knows
My favorite franchise. All they do is tease me. Beyond Good & Evil 2 will release before we see Sam again.
I'm wondering the same about the leaked ghost recon project over
Splinter cell's Copyright needs to be get rid of from the hands of ubisoft
pandora tomorrow chaos theory & double agent remastered. I need my spies Vs Mercs back
It's really such a pity that ubisoft has turned into such a terrible company. Sam Fisher deserves better.
It has some of the best lighting effects up until that point
Yes some of the best skills up until that point.
I had some of the best skills up until that point
