Calvin what you’re talking about is being a sigma male. I’ve been working on myself for the last year ignoring all of the social media and BS out there stacking investments getting physically and mentally fit to be the best version of myself that I can be. I think the Philippines is a great place to live a healthy life. My plan is to move there and not date anyone for six months. I love women, but I think there is a distraction to the life I am trying to live. You’re one of the few Philippines, TH-cam channels that I watch and I appreciate your content.
FYI, I’m out doing my morning walk for a.m. here in Texas. My plan is to go downtown and fansonly Veterans to buy some breakfast and coffee for this morning… Maybe some homeless veterans down on his luck. Happy Veterans Day to all my brothers out there.
Factz..I've been sigma before I even knew I was being a sigma. .and women have always flocked to me my whole life.. but they weren't even on my list of anything to do until I decided whether or not id entertain them.. I had way more other life interest..
Straight up ! I used to tell them i was married back in 1994 after my divorce and mostly kept to myself except just friends i met always asked me if i wanted to meet someone they knew. Again the more i said no, the more offers i was getting. Calvin speaks the truth ! Magandang hapon po!
Calvin is speaking truth. Let yourself be seen, and move on. After a girl has seen you a number of times and you are not acting like a playboy, her interest level skyrockets. A well dressed gentleman gets bum rushed by hotties in short order.😊
The thing with that theory is that you'll need tons of time. How long do you need to be in a city to get approached by all these women. 1 month? 3? 6? A year? Who has time for that?
My friend is over there now, met someone online and she took him to the province in bayawan to meet her family. After 2 days he had 10 province girls asking him if he had any friends, they all want to date a foreigner.
Yeah I am making plans to come over. I'm 62, in shape, and have no intention to chase women. I simply want to live a simpler life, see the amazing scenery and then if something happens with a woman, so be it. I'm not going to go chasing them for sex etc. Peace Brother!
Calvin in 13 years I have come to the Philippines is not for the women although I have been with quite a few however I never come on to a Filipina. Filipina is not the prize. I come to the Philippines for the peace of mind to get the hell out of America. see you soon brother.
You will receive more attention here when you are alone. Whether you have a woman back at your airbnb/condo or not. A foreigner out alone is fair game to these women .
There is likely a subtle difference between someone who takes this advice to heart as a means to, in fact, find that special someone here in the Philippines (a little reverse psychology at its finest!) and someone who actually has no interest in the women, for whatever reason. My guess is that Filipinas are wise enough to pick up on that. At least many of them (women in general, for that matter). Calvin - you ended with a statement we should all take to heart here in the Philippines as well. If you see someone who needs a little help (there are many), make it happen. It doesn’t take much, and it will do you wonders as well.
Already 30 comments and you only released this video 1 hour ago. haha.. awesome Calvin. I'm a very young 57, retired Navy and lived on-off in the Phils since I retired 10 years ago, coming back to Dumaguete in Feb. My 1st time in the Phils.. Christmas 2000'.. on a whim, I took 12 days leave and had a travel agent arrange my trip. I knew nothing.. I didn't know internet dating existed and I was 34, fit, good looking and simply expected to sight see and relax. NEWS ALERT.. I was mobbed, swamped and flooded with offers, phone numbers and attention haha. So moral to the story.. age 57.. I never, ever chase.. I just wait for the good ones.. wait for the right time.. and MAYBE someday I'll find a keeper.
If you haven't found a keeper after 10 years of living there you never will. You can lie to us, but you should never lie to yourself. Just stay single & enjoy it.
This basically was my plan. I just wanna go and find a nice place cheap with a good church. A wrong woman and an itchy trigger finger can delete your retirement account pretty easily I think. Plus I'm only 35 i feel like I'm still too young lol.
It's not crazy at all. In fact all men should try it. They will be pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Remember playing hard to get it's almost the same thing 🤔
Yeah it is some kind of illness going around I know a gal from province near there small island and most have been sick doctor says it's a normal type of sickness what ever that means but last close to a week. I know all the expats say the health care in the pi is great but all the Filipinos I know in the states say different even the ones rhat work in the health care field
That’s what happens when I tell people that I want to retire to the Philippines. I’m looking for the relaxed atmosphere and lower cost of living. I’ve been single for decades now and women are a low priority for me. I value my solitude and peace of mind. I don’t drink or go to bars(unless I’m playing a gig, I’m a musician). Great post as always Calvin!
If you come across as desperate, women will avoid you. Remember you have something to offer that will change this woman’s life for the better, take your time and you will meet the lady of your dreams.
Calvin, I've never chased women in my life. I've been friendly, understanding & a shoulder to cry on. Turned down more Dates & Encounters than the "Alpha" Males I know brag about. Beware the Alpha Nerd. LOL. In 20 Months: I'll spend my time looking for a place I like, find Tabletop Gaming Connections, & eat where the Nurses, Teachers & other Professional Women do... What comes my way, comes my way. I'll have two years to Travel & Explore before Medicare is available.
When I go to PI I am with my fiancee (soon to be wife) and since I keep my head on a swivel and my eyes constantly checking, I always see women checking me out. I have noticed this for years while I am there and I have noticed it in other countries I have been to. Not going to lie, a man who is just reasonably attractive will always "catch eyes on him" but being a "thirsty" dude will always be a recipe for disaster.
I guess I'm in the right state of mind then, because my main interest and priority in visiting the Philippines has nothing to do w/ meeting or dating the local women.
That's very interesting. And it makes sense. But what about 2 or 3 weeks in Davao or Cebu. It looks so heavily populated, would anyone notice if you didn't pay attention to the women, or is that unique to a smaller community like Dumaguete or the one where you live? Thank you.
When I was stationed at Eielson AFB AK, during our military exercises I had to work with the Logistics Squadron to process cargo. My supervisor was a SSgt that grew up in that area. He gave me some advise about fishing for salmon and it was to ask everyone around me what they were using as bait and then apply a different type of bait while fishing. Listening to this video reminded me of his advise.
Actually, you are 100% correct on this. Back in June, when I was in Cebu, I presented myself as not looking; by the end of the month, coming back home, I had 2 women interested, but it dawned on me that if I could have stayed longer, who else would I have met? On my next trip in '24, I want to stay longer, and hopefully attend one of your meet and greets and give an update then.
This is exactly what I've been planning for when I come to the Philippines for my multi-month exploratory visit. Travel around, snorkel, SCUBA dive, hike, canyoneering, visiting nature-type places and various cities to see if I might like to live there permanently in retirement and to make sure I actually like being in the Philippines. I don't plan to do any dating stuff until I decide I want to stay in the Philippines and have some idea of where I want to be in the Philippines. I already know my first 6 months (or longer) will be in a BGC condo. I think it will be easier for me to adjust there and travel out from there to visit other places in the Philippines and possibly other nearby countries.
I dated discretely for a year. Finally I met the one and we got married. Then suddenly at the super market and restaurants my wife showed up. All the cashiers, waiters/waitresses were happy that the American final had a woman on his arm.
That is the truth. On a recon trip now and travelled solo for a bit before finding some company. Awesome to hear them ask, why are you alone? That never happens in America, for the most part.
Got it backwards. Green means stop. Red means go. In other words, if she is always logged onto the dating site, she will always have the green "online" status active. That is the warning flag. If it is often red, the woman has a life outside of trolling for men.
Calvin thats a Trick That works with women every where ,IGNORE them and u will get their Attention ,i taught my sons this when they were young and they said damn dad u were right. A old school playa Taught me this.
I did this in the Philippines. I was 30's, really fit and really well dressed. I would go out only at night once it was dark and come back to my Hotel early morning and always alone. Eventually a Filipina got to know me after a few weeks and the big speculation in the area was that I was "Very Mysterious" and maybe a spy. The curiosity was KILLING them. One asked me if I was a rock star trying to stay low and away from the press as I looked like one she had seen. lol It was a lot of fun. :)
I ain't chasing no more. If a women wants me I can be caught but they have to impress me enough to make me want to spend time with them. Once money is mentioned I am gone.
This is exactly what to do IF you want to find a quality woman. There are multitudes of low-quality women out there, and the dating sights and tourist areas are full of them. As a Westerner in the Philippines, you have a target on your back the minute you set foot off the plane. You definitely can't find quality in the red-light districts. Far too many Western men easily fall for the low-quality women. They know what to say and how to try and grab your attention. I've seen far too many guys who never made it out of the red-light district, and they were ready to get married.
Playing uninterested will work too. I was online before I came to the Philippines. I was with my girlfriend at Boracay and she pointed out to me a foreigner that was alone. We saw him walking around looking sad several times and she felt sad for him to be there alone. I don’t what his story was, but he was attracting attention. Just being along makes them wonder…
Your suggestion was the last on my list, and that's when she came along. But I went through all the dating sites too, when I began coming to the Philippines. 😂
This might work for some, but I have been in Angeles City for over 6 months and have NOT met a single woman. I am shy in person and on Filipino Cupid, but haven't found the one. I have never drank in my life and have no interest in bars/clubs. I really wish that this would work, but it hasn't for me.
I like Filipinas, but I certainly don't like all of them. I'm selective as to which ones I like or don't like... And that goes for Latinas, Slavic or any other race of women... I think The Filipinas are wrong if they assume that everyone wants them... That's an exaggeration...At least the Filipinas I met were humble and kind and it's hard for me to believe that they're so haughty as to assume that everyone wants them... But I do agree with you that some men are like hungry wolves out there restlessly scoping, prospecting for women as soon as they arrive...Good point, Men- Take a chill pill....
Haha, thats nice. Would be worth a try. But I think this will only work in smaller towns and places where the locals know each other, observe and recognize a foreigner when he stays there for a period of time. I just suppose in big cities like Manila or Cebu nobody will notice or care.
That's my plan. Going to completely ignore the women, for at least the first six months while I get myself settled. Not going to be hard, they are not the primary reason I'm moving there anyway. My primary concern is an easy comfortable life in my retirement with no drama.
Sounds like I need to come over there cuz at this point I could give a rats ass...Married to a latina for 12 years and now getting divorced enabled that attitude for me....Currently in my rv living in the Southwest and its pretty isolating to say the least....Just came back from Mexico and Peru after 3 months and Gringos are pretty much invisible in those 2 countries these days.Unless you are into the bar girls...Not my style...
Yeah I just want to come over there and just walk around for real. I'm excited to just see the country, if I meet the love of my life that's cool. I'm also really shy and really introverted, maybe that will play in my favor. Who knows.
Sup Calvin I been following you since you was 3k subscribers, I'm from Omaha, Nebraska USA 🇺🇸, I finally made it to the Philippines 🇵🇭, I stay in Manila in the province of binagonan rizal,I'll be here for 6 month
Calvin, is there a likelihood that a 76 yr old living in Florida could find a legit girlfriend online and bring her to Florida (without ever visiting the Phils)? Or is this absolutely crazy. Have you heard of any success stories that started this way.
This advice did not work for me. I was in the PH for 3 weeks last year. I ignored the women and the women ignored me. This advice is like telling people not to actively look for a job and eventually someone will come to you and offer you a job.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing I just got my passport (this week in fact) but had already bought full snorkeling gear fins even aqua socks months ago, lol. I plan to focus on as you suggested just really enjoy the country as first priority but keep one eye open lol.
Great advice, Calvin, even though you're still sounding congested. After getting burned in two marriages and subsequent relationships, I am definitely not going to be looking for anything when I visit the Phils.
You don't have to get married here. They are just happy tobe your gf. Stick to your principles and enjoy the ride. After you realize what's here, and give yourself some time to detox for the US women, you will be simply amazed.
Another wisdom right there from mr. Calvin. That's true foreigner has that reputation. During my younger years seeing other Pinays talking to each other about that "reputation" that whatever however exotic the Pinays are... they even talking about it in a joking manner. The ugliest you are, the brownier you are the better (I mean the morena skin) Looks don't matter that's what they say because foreign men will love you no matter what because they want love in return. Who doesn't, right? And that's why some Pinays are so proud walking side by side with their foreign guys at malls, boulevards, anywhere. I hope the Pinays who have a foreign guy stay or be humble 🙏
The Philippines is a beautiful country so much to explore,i did this for 2 months never joined a dating site or approached a woman, it's true what Calvin says they land up approaching you
I wasn't planning to meet anyone. I was going over to see the county and decide if I want to retire there and if so where. As it turned out I met a lady accidentally recerching condominiums
That would be me. I want to revisit the PI from my Navy days. Not going to waste time on a bar girl or any girl trying to get my attention. Casual greeting in passing only.
Hey Calvin....That works here in the states too! In my younger days, I would go to the bars, and ignore the women. after awhile, THEY would come to me! I was NEVER in need of female companionship.
I did this for a month in the Philippines and many women and men were constantly inquiring the entire trip. Some back story..I started out the trip as a business trip and made the second half of the trip personal pleasure.
You're right. When I came over here my first time the people I met could not believe that I didn't have a Filipina to meet. They have been trying to set me up ever since.
There is a lot of truth to that. When i went there in july it was with someone from the states. The people i met i didnt flirt with or anything. A week after i came back and the relationship fell apart, she was a hoe, i got contacted by the prettiest girl of all the ones i met and went back a couple times to see her. My situation although different in intent but followed the same pattern given played out the same. Guys, dont settle. The prize is the one you think you dont have a shot at. This aint the states 😂
Calvin you are so dam wise , love your videos. I want to fall in love with the Philippines , the woman are just a bonus, hell I could go back to Vietnam
Great advice Calvin. Also nice thumbnail, your partner is beautiful, compliments bro. BTW, you be home in san carlos 2nd week January? I'll be in Cadiz city, not to far away. Cheers
Was in the Phils for the first time last April for a couple weeks and concentrated only on vacationing in the natural beauty of the Places and people; SCUBA. Single but it made no sense to me to date on a short visit. Dont want an LDR or get handcuffed on arrival. It takes months to vet a trustworthy woman and Im not there to find a cheap one for selfish gratification and feed the wrong expat reputation. Im back in January but on retirement recon not women. Woman can complicate things so am avoiding the drama. Later if I settle there then thats the time to be open to it. Yes we are the prize so options will come- am not worried about that. More concerned about finding peace and preserving finances. For now, Im used to being free on my own - not to be more attractive to girls but to explore.
This is exactly what happens, in my experience. I've travelled to dozens of countries and behaved in the same way as the guy you mention. The reason being because I've travelled to see the countries and not for the women. I've always been unindated with women coming upto me, always them asking me questions etc.
@@alals6794 Every country i've travelled to & because I behave different to almost all other foreign guys. I'm in my 50's & I've always been this way, in my home country or any other. Dare to be different, follow your own path & see for yourself. Oh, you still need to look after yourself, be healthy, don't slob about.

The way you state this way, you’ll wind up with an educated Filipina with her own resources.
Calvin what you’re talking about is being a sigma male. If I had to write where I am at in my life……dead on Mac.
I’m with you bro, 6 weeks into a nice work out routine, planning and savings. Bout ready to make that trip. Work on yourself kings 👊
Ditto,
I'm setting myself to do the same thing. Good on you Macwil2359... Great advice Calvin...

I agree. This is thinking outside the box.
Don't chase women around, let THEM come to you.
The thing with that theory is that you'll need tons of time. How long do you need to be in a city to get approached by all these women. 1 month? 3? 6? A year? Who has time for that?
@ikealamp53 if you're only coming here to fit the stereotype then it won't work for you.
My friend is over there now, met someone online and she took him to the province in bayawan to meet her family. After 2 days he had 10 province girls asking him if he had any friends, they all want to date a foreigner.
Shows how desperate they are, especially in the poor provinces.

your just a atm for them do you think those women can fall in love with you in a week
I must have been an ugly mofo. I been here for over a year and half and have NEVER been approached by a Filipina.
Shit...this plays right into my wheelhouse. Being oblivious is my superpower.

LoL, You still a sales man Calvin!! You speak the truth.
Im taking early retirement and plan on visiting/living in the Philippines. I will try this strategy, 26 long months away. :) thank Calvin!
Lol, that's happening to me right now in Colômbia. 😂
Watch out bro dem Colombianas be slipping sleeping pils in to gringo's drinks out there😅😂. Move wise and smart out there lol 🙌😎👍.

Brilliant.............already thought about this logic.....really like your channel.
Who knows.
Happy Veteran’s Day Cal. Thanks for your service.
Daaaaaamn 😮this looks like it's gonna be a good video 👍🏻
Became Scuba certified at Grande Island. Some of the most beautiful diving in the world
Sup Calvin I been following you since you was 3k subscribers, I'm from Omaha, Nebraska USA 🇺🇸, I finally made it to the Philippines 🇵🇭, I stay in Manila in the province of binagonan rizal,I'll be here for 6 month
Calvin is speaking 🗣️ facts 💯 because I did it WITHOUT KNOWING IT 😂
Calvin, is there a likelihood that a 76 yr old living in Florida could find a legit girlfriend online and bring her to Florida (without ever visiting the Phils)? Or is this absolutely crazy. Have you heard of any success stories that started this way.
To the guy that "Cold-shouldered" women: who cleaned your Apartment? (Just asking?)
You are speaking the truth. Women like a man who maintains his frame. You keep the leverage as a man.
They like a dad bod too
This advice did not work for me. I was in the PH for 3 weeks last year. I ignored the women and the women ignored me. This advice is like telling people not to actively look for a job and eventually someone will come to you and offer you a job.
No. Only if you're in a place where employers are actively seeking employees would this be a fair comparison.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing I just got my passport (this week in fact) but had already bought full snorkeling gear fins even aqua socks months ago, lol. I plan to focus on as you suggested just really enjoy the country as first priority but keep one eye open lol.
Thats my plan Calvin when i arrive there for a month..no internet dating sites for me! Im there to enjoy life & a break from the rat race of life.
Great idea don't be a follower take your time and enjoy your time in the Philippines
What's wrong with the exception ? Don't act like simp...
Im coming over to readjust my finances 1 to 2 months ill be dent free then ill ho put and find one
Never ever been on a dating site, never will, never have to.
The Philippines is a beautiful country so much to explore,i did this for 2 months never joined a dating site or approached a woman, it's true what Calvin says they land up approaching you
Your killing me with thumbnails , and then with a straight face ignore them all 😊
Well spoken.
I plan on coming to the Philippines in 2025 , me and my 16 year old son want to go dive with Whale Sharks and see what the Philippines are like.
im going there in 2031 when i retire but i dont use dating sites i just like meeting girls in public
This was going to be my strategy.
100% TRUTH!!!!
Calvin 👍👍👍
Only in the province. This will not work in Manila, Angeles or Cebu. They’ll ignore you
How would you know if you don't try it?
My game plan is to dive "scuba" and mine my own business, to enjoy the cultures of the areas.
That guy who kept to himself was a free agent 😄
Hey Calvin....That works here in the states too! In my younger days, I would go to the bars, and ignore the women. after awhile, THEY would come to me! I was NEVER in need of female companionship.
Reputation.. Well Earned 🎉🎉🎉🎉👈🐈😋💙
They take for granted that we're here to meet someone.
Siquijor is sooo nice!! GLADWIN is a cool dude! Hi Mr. Waterman😅
A similar thing happened to me when I went to Thailand with my us gf. Never again will info that. What a waste of a good time
When you aren't looking for them that's when they come to you
Who is the beauty on your episode?
God is in control....if you let Him.
Calvin you are so dam wise , love your videos. I want to fall in love with the Philippines , the woman are just a bonus, hell I could go back to Vietnam
I Agree
Which country was best.....or which did you get most attention from women? just curious
@@alals6794
Every country i've travelled to & because I behave different to almost all other foreign guys. I'm in my 50's & I've always been this way, in my home country or any other.
Dare to be different, follow your own path & see for yourself.
Oh, you still need to look after yourself, be healthy, don't slob about.
The way you state this way, you’ll wind up with an educated Filipina with her own resources.
