Hey guys . Dummy here from WV. 98 CC DS does not have the wire harness plug like the video. Mine has five wires and no blue. I CANT GET THIS CART TO RUN. I did however get it to run by putting the two main hots to the same post on the selinoid. Been on this project for 10 days now. BTW thanks for getting the battery to me SO QUICKLY
I am not sure what to do with the red and black wires from the 12v reducer. My cart has what looks like a fuse panel, so I ran the red from there to my 12v reducer but I am Not sure where the black wire goes.
I recently added the Eco Battery to my Club Car DS - thanks for video. I would like to add the Stinger keyless ignition to my setup. In this video, it appeared that the stinger was already installed to the other non-Eco reducer you mentioned? Can you provide any detail on the wiring setup for the stinger? Thanks
Would this cause an increase in speed? And any change in the ride quality? Nice way to get rid of the v-glide system and upgraded batteties! Thanks for the info!
What is usually charged for the install? I have the same setup with a navitas but im here in FL and will need to be looking soon. I will be going with the 72v system.
Does the battery need to be on to charge it? Will it charge if the battery is off? Does the battery powered on also power on the charger somehow or is it powered on by the external power into charge receptical ? I noticed that the battery power is always left on when doing the initial charge, Thanks
You can charge either way, but recommended to have battery on when charging. Only shut the battery down if it’s going to be left unused for more than 7 days. Only way to activate charger is to plug it in to 120v power.
@@PalmettoBatteryPros So the charger will charge the battery while the battery is off? Looking to buy this setup really soon. Thanks Keep up the great videos.
@@PalmettoBatteryPros you said you did a video on it, but I can't find it, and the only link in your video is for a Precedent. He was...and I am, asking about the DS. There seem to be conflicting videos, research, etc... on the DS when converting to Lithium, and there are no kit's offered for the lithium batter from Eco, where the charging portal is swapped. All the videos say to run the grey wire from the portal to the negative on the battery(for acid), then the yellow to the negative, but that's in a daisy chain. Others say like yours does, to bypass it by jumping the white and blue with a relay and basically cutting everything else on the OBC side off. Is that all that's required?
I have one blue wire coming from the front which I am guessing is the key switch. Does this just go to the positive on the converter? I am using a fuse panel so what size fuse should I put for that one? As well should I use a 20amp fuse for the headlights?

Yellow to ground from OBC

Hook the red to the 12v supply and the black will ground your 12v accessories. The fuse block will need both to complete the circuit.

I have actually never installed this switch.
But I’d like to have one on my cart

Speed is a controller/motor issue, but you will notice a couple more MPH due to a little extra voltage and lack of weight.

We charge $300 to install
We have a 2013 club car, can I buy this battery only and use my 12 volt reducer as well as my current charger?
Charger is specific to battery, do not use a different charger as it will void the warranty.

I have an older DS 48 volt club car. Is there something that I have to do to the OBC
Yes, bypass it. We did a video on it.
