    I have a 1999 Club Car DS four seater that is used in our community and golf course only. The area is reasonably flat with no big hills. The cart is sometimes used to haul gardening supplies/ debris and only occasionally used for 4 people. We live in Central Florida and the cart will set idle from May to October while we avoid the summer!
    What would you reccomend for the cart and what will I need to do to maintain the battery over the summer?
    I was definitely looking at Amazon since the upgrade was comparable to buying lead acid replacement batteries

      Hi Keith! Based on the needs you described I would not recommend getting a 100ah/105ah. That will be overkill in both power and range. The 60ah options will be plenty sufficient. We lean towards the Eco Battery 60ah option since it has an easy install tailored to the DS and since it has the most power of the 60ah options, making the occasional hauling experience much better.

    I did what you said not to do, purchased two power queen 36v 100 amp batteries from Amazon. Hooked them in series to power my Tracker 72V EV. They worked great for two weeks without even having to recharge them. I use this only for hunting in VA. They even worked going up 45-degree hills and I really thought they were going to be great. Last week they started to fail and left me in the woods three times. Each time I got to carry the battery out of the woods for a reset. Not just one battery but both of them went from full charge to zero after 200 yards. These are on their way back to China as soon as they send me my return label and shipping boxes. Now I am shopping for USA made batteries. Have to lose some weight first since I will have to bend over to grab both my ankles to pay for them.

    I have been looking for a while on doing a lithium conversion on our golf cart. We have a 2019 Club Car villager 6 seater. 6” lift with bigger tires. We currently have ( 8 ) 6V Trojan batteries. Stock Controller and motor. Top speed at 20mph. We live in South Florida so there aren’t many hills at all. Just small bridges. Wondering what you would recommend. We are leaning towards the 48V mosasaur Lithium Battery. Thanks in advance

      @extremekartz  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great info! Mosasaur would likely work based on their specs, although in general, we can't in good conscious recommend non-USA owned & operated brands. We've just had too much bad experience with them (although we haven't had any experience with Mosasaur specifically). If you're able to go stateside brands, it's worth it for the post-order support and piece of mind. From there, we'd recommend Eco's 160ah since you have a 6seater with big tires. That will give you the range you're likely looking for. If you wanted to go more budget 160ah, I would recommend Allied's 48v 160ah

    • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi. Since you have an Icon, we would strongly recommend Eco, even though other brands will also work fine. Eco's the only one that integrates with Icon's system which means it will be safer. We built a page just for the icon here:
      www.extremekartz.com/icon-eco-battery-bundles-choose-your-setup-battery/
      I would get a 105ah at a minimum. About half of Icon i60L owners go 160ah for more range. But if you're not driving more than 20-25 miles, the 105ah might be sufficient.

    Hello, I bought an older model E-Z-GO Series 36V this past summer that looks and runs great except when going uphill. It creeps up hills. It is a 4 seater. What are your suggestion as a fix or upgrade to help it to conquer climbing hills? Right now i can walk faster up a hill than it can climb.

    • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Gregory. It's most likely a motor/controller opportunity than a battery issue. An upgraded lithium battery is simply going to ALLOW for more power that the motor/controller calls for. Seems like your motor is getting tired. You could simply replace it, or, if you're going to keep your cart a while, we think it's worth getting this upgrade:

      Hi Lance. All of our lithium options would work great with your DS, so recommending something more specific depends on a few other factors. Do you have a 2 seater or 4 seater? You looking to get closer to 20 miles per charge or 40 miles per charge?
      Quick answer is: Can't go wrong with Eco Battery since they have a DS specific kit, and also really good pricing right now.

      Hi Rob. If you are only needing 20-25 miles per charge or less, you will be fine with a 60ah lithium kit. Eco Battery's has the most power. Or Allied's 48v 30ah (x2) kit if you're not needing much power and would rather save some $.
      If you'd like more than 20-25 miles, the Eco 48v 105ah Skinny Bundle or the Bolt Energy 48v 105ah THIN Bundle, are the two best lithium options in the market for 105ah solutions for the TXT. Feel free to call us if you'd like to talk through any of this!

      @extremekartz  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi! Given that information, we would recommend Eco Battery's 36v 105ah option the most. It's reasonably priced, the easiest install, and the most powerful of the 36v lithium options out there. We have seen other lithium brands' 36v options get phased out recently and no longer support them from a warranty perspective, which is concerning.

    2021 Tempo with the 51.2 volt and 105 AH. Live in the Texas panhandle and already had a few days in the mid 20's. My cart is in an enclosed trailer but the temperature shutdown had kicked on when I went to play on a 40 degree day with a full charge. When I got home I put a heating pad on it to get it up to temp where I could get it to move again. Any ideas on how I can prevent this?? Hate to think I purchased a warm weather only cart

    • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your lithium battery will not charge below freezing. But aside from that, it should still be working on a 40 degree day. The heating pad is a good idea; we've had many customers do that. If all of that is still not working, I would reach out directly to your lithium manufacturer.

    I have an EZGO RXV.....do i need the 12v converter if all the cables now come off the existing 6-8volt batteries and what is the necessity of the larger solenoid you offer in the kit that you sell thru Extremem Kartz?

    • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you would still need a 12v converter if you do not already have one. Your 12v lights (and any other accessories) work fine being hooked up to a single 8v or 2 (totaling 16v). But they would blow a fuse being hooked up directly to a 48v battery, without a 12 converter.
      Great question on the solenoid. Your existing solenoid might work just fine. However, if your cart is over 6 years old, we'd usually recommend replacing your solenoid with a heavy duty one. Reason being, with a higher amperage lithium battery, you now have more amperage running through your solenoid than before, which will wear down a normal older solenoid over time.

    What would be the best setup for a lifted navitas chasis cart. Navitas 600amp/5kv AC motor/controller. Not looking for crazy top speeps but more reliability and cost effective. Controller can handle 48 or 72v but not sure its worth the extra for 72v in my case

    • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We would recommend Bolt Energy since it has a higher continuous amp output so you can get the most out of your Navitas. Eco Battery would be a close second. Both of them are built to work w/ Navitas and your battery will be more reliable/durable than other lithium options. 72v is great, but sounds like more of a nice to have. 48v would be more cost effective in our opinion. Hope that helps!

    Im going to be building a 2020 Tempo 2 seater only with the Navitas 600 amp controller and motor. Im a bit of a speed nut so between the Eco 70v and Bolt 72v is there a big difference between the 2 in top end speed and is it worth the 500-600 dollar difference?

    • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question. If you're wanting to maximize speed, the Bolt 72v will be better than the Eco 70v because of its higher amperage output specs. Although Eco's 70v performance is excellent and a close second. To get the most out of your Navitas investment however, we'd recommend Bolt, even with the price difference.

    • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Since you have a bed/xtra seat in the back, it sounds like you would need to make sure your lithium battery has enough power. In that case, we would strongly recommend the Eco 36v 105ah option. • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @mikerogero49 That's awesome! Yes, the AC Conversion Kit for the onward will give you max torque. Navitas is excellent. If you're looking to save about $400, the Teekon is also excellent for the onward. For lithium, the absolute best for you would be Bolt Energy since they have most power (250a continuous output). Eco would be a close second, as they engineered their battery to work perfectly w/ the Navitas. Even though we have many other lithium options, those are the only two I'd recommend comfortably with Navitas 600a.

      @@arkbama6 Apologies for the delay. For a 36v EZGO '89, I would go either Eco Battery's 36v 105ah (if you need power or are in a hilly area, or want to maximize your range) or Allied's 36v drop-in kits (2 x 36ah = 72ah) if you want to save a little and don't need Eco's benefits. • @extremekartz
      @extremekartz  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I admit the lower price point is definitely attractive. But it's hard in good conscious to recommend them. Here's why:
      - non US-owned, which from our experience, creates issues post-order and is questionable of if the company will still be here 3+ years down the road.
      - they often have plastic casing which is a no-no safety wise for golf carts
      - you mentioned under powered. That is common amongst them as well. Make sure whatever you go with has a continuous amperage discharge of 150a or more and peak discharge >250. I saw a post this week of a guy that has a 36v' older EZGO, bought the amazon brands, and had major issues. If you email Martin (that's me) at support@extremekartz.com , I can send you the screenshot of their post.

      For a 6 seater, the normal 36v 105ah likely will not cut it. Since they don't make a single battery solution higher than that, you'll need to buy multiple batteries to hook them up in parallel. You could either buy two Eco 36v 105ah. Or, if you don't need that much range, getting 4 36ah Allied drop-ins would give you 144ah of range and enough power.
