Hi Bro’s.. wow another great flog from you good people ☺️ You just reminded me of my time that I spent in Vientiane thx 🙏🏻 You guys have such an interesting and down to earth style. Yen Larb is a favourite for me too. And a mention to you Peter omg the slurp.. A natural bro it’s a common sound here at home in vietnam 🇻🇳. Back when I first started traveling my camera & Phone wasn’t that great so video taking wasn’t normal.. and to see your flogs made me appreciate this episode thanks guys. Such a very detailed explanation of your discoveries. I look forward to the next video. Stay safe and enjoy 😊
Hey bro glad you enjoyed the video 😁 turned out that meal at the park was one of the best we had in vientiane 😂 We often think back and talked to each other about how good that noodle and larb were 🇱🇦 want to eat it one more time 😂
Thanks George! We really enjoyed that museum! Often you only get to look at antique/traditional tools so it was fantastic getting to be able to try it and taught how to use it too 😊 loved the experience and grateful to the kind owner who is a master weaver showing us everything ❤️❤️❤️
What an absolute gem Laos 🇱🇦 is! It felt so chill, and the buildings were stunning. I agree with your love of unique buildings, Peter. Your new hat was very cool, Yen. 😊 I'm glad we didn't miss out on the all-important eating segment, I was getting worried 😅.
Thanks Daryl 😁 we were seriously so happy with lunch! Honestly didn't expect the food to be so delicious but it was soo good 🤤🤤🤤 we've had a lot of really yum food in Laos so far. Didn't realise that larb/laab originated in Laos either.. no wonder it's amazing 🤤
This is a nice slow one where it is not too crowded for yourselves to enjoy the museum, then Buddha Park. The lady who shadowed you guys at the museum is so peaceful and can see she was contented is showing you guys around. Yen was nice to buy the hat to "help out" 🙏🏻 The lunch, was brave of Pete to order a bowl of piping hot noodles 🫡, does look nice though. Did you get the fried rice, my go to comfort food Have a great week ahead
Thanks L H! The lady in the museum is Bouavanh (co-founder and Master weaver), she was so lovely 🥰 that hat has come in handy on many days here in Laos! Was happy to find it 😁 Peter's noodles soup was amazing and so tasty! We were really surprised how good the food was there! Couldn't fit in a fried rice after though unfortunately haha too full 😊 Enjoy your weekend and thanks for tunning in and commenting each week 😁❤️
Thank you for sharing your experiences in LAOS. I’m so relaxed ☺ watching your videos of LAOS, because you guys are so amazing, so passionate, positive and genuine about your experiences in LAOS. Please enjoy your journey, have lots of fun and be safe.🙂🙂
😀😀😀..... Hi Peter ,Hi Yen ,I♥️your vlog .The garden was Beautiful .Good taste on the Bucket Hat Yen ,It looks good on you.😋😋😋 Lunch looked real good to . Enjoy your stay Guys ♥️you two , Be safe ....🙏🙏
Thank you 😊 ❤️ we had an absolute blast in laos 🇱🇦 we'll definitely come back again in the future. Currently in Vietnam. Not enough sunshine here atm for Yen to wear her hat hahaha
What a nice chilled way to spend the day. The sculpture park looks such a cool place to explore, especially the views from the giant pumpkin 🎃 I'm really enjoying my virtual tour of Asia with you both 😊
😂 honestly we were unsure in our capabilities of finding and getting on the right bus 🤣🤣 but thankfully it was very straightforward. Had such a local experience on the bus ride back.. this elderly couple came on board and brought along with them tons of bags and boxes presumably stock from Thailand to sell in the Lao markets.. they filled up the entire back of the bus and the lady was clambering all over the bags and chairs it was impressive 😁 we helped them load up their goods too 😆👍 but yea Laos has been great! Just don't come in burning season like we have if you can avoid it 😅
So many memories here of my visits to several countries in the South Pacific. They all have their own character, which is awesome to feel part of while you are there. And yes Peter, cute.
Glad you didn’t pass up on the opportunity to eat hot off the grill sweet potato… looked tasty even in the hot, humid weather. Did you see any cicadas? Noodles and larb look excellent too! Love the Southeast Asia sweaty film of glisten as you eat Peter. Sure sign of a good proper day in SE Asia 😁😁! Had no idea yellow dye could be made from jackfruit…thanks for the fun fact 😁. So far Laos hasn’t disappointed. Definitely adding to my interest for a future visit. It’s like Thailand but not 😁. Thanks guys and safe travels!!
Thanks dude 🤙 safe travels to you too where ever you are 😁 Sweet potato is one of my loves gotta eat it when I can hahaha. We saw quite a few cicadas but they weren't ever close enough to get a shot. The south east Asia sweat.... I'd like to say that I'll climatise eventually.... but it really isn't happening. How do locals wear hoodies? I don't understand 😂
@@PeterandYenseriously… when I see people in se Asia wearing thick hoodies and pants I’m like whoa…. Nice to see your oofos getting some screen time by the way 😁😁😁😁
@SeoulMan2020 hahaha they've been great so far! So comfy. The only thing is I don't think I can climb mountains with them because they don't provide enough feet stability when I'm standing on 45 degree angles 🥲 might have to wear shoes
@@PeterandYen I just broke mine last week 😭😭 They were due to break though.. so worn out… was trekking through the mangrove and the mud sucked me in. When I tried to yank them up the toe strap broke. Happened to my last pair too about 2-3 years ago. Yeah the 45 angle is tricky… kinda like the old Suzuki Samurai’s.. once they hit a certain angle, it’s game over. Speaking of rolling like a Suzuki, I was messing around on a skateboard last week with some kids, and rolled like a Suzuki Samurai. Ripped out two fingernails completely… I always wondered in those gangster movies what having your fingernails ripped out feels like… now I know 😂. I guess that’s my way of saying travel safe guys always and make sure your insurance is good to go 👍👍👍
Omg that sounds so painful 😂🥲 Is it more painful just on a day to day now since that tender under nail meat is exposed? Jandals stuck in mud is a sure fire way to break em hahahaha. I've broken a few pairs in the past like that too.
I think it was so incredible how people back in the olden days discovered things and made them, like the colour of flowers and plants. So amazing how they discovered that silkworms can make fabric. Just Fascinating 🤩. Peter's noodles look similar to Vietnamese Hu Tieu Nam Giang and that was originally from Laos. It's one of my favourite noodle dishes. I love to have crunchy pork fat in it 😅
Hahahaha I like that you have such a passion for street food! Looking forward to going to Vietnam soon. Our favorite foods are waiting 😂👍 We always love going to cultural exhibits like this. So interesting and they are usually away from the big crowds. Learn a lot too 😊🧠
@PeterandYen I sure am 😁. I want to go back to Vietnam to eat all of my childhood street food too but my husband is never keen for VN 😭. You can eat on my behalf. Vietnam created so many new street foods and I want them all. Just watch out for tummy bug 🐛 😅
@ouradventerousdays oooo new street food! That sounds yum. Never had food poisoning in Vietnam after 2 trips and eating lots of local foods. But went to Bali for 1 week and had food poisoning for 1 week 😂
@PeterandYen the last time we went back to VN was 2015. We both had food poisoning on the last day we flew back to Australia. We both had to take day off work next day 😩. We haven't been to Bali, not sure if I'm keen.
on the one hand, such awesome sights. on the other hand, PUPPY haha. I don't that museum was open when I was there - so cool! I did visit (and buy) from one of the tourist villages you can visit down the river from Luang Prabang, but I wish I could have seen this!
Hiya 👋🏼 nah not Birkenstock but funny you should say that coz Peter's ones are in the next/last video that we'll be posting from Laos this coming Sunday 😆👍 mine are from a shop called Novo (an Australian brand that we also have in NZ) 🙂 super comfy especially when broken in plus really grippy too which definitely comes in handy!

It was fantastic! Lao people are so warm and friendly too ❤️❤️😊
Great video - I enjoyed the textile museum - the way the world worked not so long ago... And the music is so very tasteful!
Thanks George! We really enjoyed that museum! Often you only get to look at antique/traditional tools so it was fantastic getting to be able to try it and taught how to use it too 😊 loved the experience and grateful to the kind owner who is a master weaver showing us everything ❤️❤️❤️
The giant sculptures in the Bodda Sculpture Park are so beautiful, interesting and imaginative.
Thanks for sharing 😍🥰
A very unique park but apparently the artist fled to Thailand and continued his work there with another park! 😯

Buddha park would be a nice venue for a photo shoot
I love textiles, weaving and Batik, so it is so great to see that museum.
Love seeing the traditional weaving techniques especially since they are still used to this day 😊
Been to Vientiane three times. The people are fantastic
So true people in Laos were very genuinely friendly
Very intresting blog.kiaora

The noodle that Peter ate looks like Pho.😊
Lao food has some similarities to Vietnamese and Thai but at the same time it tastes distinctly Lao 😁

Three headed elephant is the old Lao flag.
Oooo I see. Thank you for this 👍
