It was a really lovely place to visit! Thanks for always watching, commenting and supporting our channel Nikki 💖💖💖 We hope you're having a great weekend!
Such a contrast between the two villages, and some beautiful views, but what really shines is how friendly the locals are 😊 Glad you'd such a fun day out 😊
We usually find Vietnam has a lot of very friendly people, especially as you head out of the city areas. Glad the contrast came through. They were both very different.
Peter and Yen thanks so much for this video series. I am making my plans for my trip in March and I know I will be reaching out to Phinh for a private tour. I live in Canada but originally from NZ so great to stumble across your channel.
Diving out of the way of motorbikes into the mud, nearly becoming a bamboo skewered wife, finding herself in the palm of a giant a hand and being forced to come up with a silly pun in exchange for her safe release (couldn’t think of why else she would say such corny awesomeness on her own free will 😁)… looked like quite the dangerous adventure for Yen 😂. Glad you guys made it through the day safely😁😁. I got the same vibe from some tourist places in Vietnam… thought it’d be a clear cut answer between local places and tourists ones, but I was pleasantly surprised many times how enjoyable I found the latter. Peter’s simple “so good” to describe the banh mi’s summed it up perfectly. Looked like another wonderful day Vietnam… thanks for sharing and safe travels!!
😂 yes a lot of adventure for Yen in this one 😂 sadly this is our last vlog from Vietnam for this trip. But we have a bunch from Philippines coming up 🇵🇭 How's your travel planning going? Figured out where you want to have your next adventure yet? 😁
Yen here: sadly (or maybe secretly proudly) claiming that corny pun all on my own 🤣🤣🤣 did you notice there was a rooster that crowed at the perfect time too when I said it? Not even an added sound effect.. nature just stepped in perfectly lol 😆😆😆
@@PeterandYen no need to secretly be proud…own that 🌽🌽🌽😂. Had to go back and listen for the 🐓… right on cue😂😂😂. Hope you guys are having a blast in the Philippines 🇵🇭!! I can’t remember if this is your first go around there? Be safe and enjoy!!
Hahahaha thanks Seoulman! 😂 We've actually just made it over to Taiwan now 😁 spent just under a month in Philippines but it was a chill spot so not a lot of vlogging. Second time visiting but first time was only for like a weekend trip to make it to a cuzzie's wedding.. we were working back then and I was in the middle of a big project so couldn't really take much leave but didn't wanna miss his wedding either so super short trip it was! 😅 Hope you've been well wherever you are right now 😊 oh and the thing with banh mi for me is that usually the bread is just way too hard and crispy and it cuts the roof of my mouth so I really don't enjoy food that hurts me 😂😅 plus it's often messy and I'm quite a neat eater so like it's just a struggle to eat one for me 😂😂😂
The rice terraces and the evolution of planting...can feel it is really hard work with wholesales racking it in. Blessed we have these farmers who still plough on The lunch Banh Mi 🥖, looks like a comfort food is really great to go with Vietnamese coffee (which I recall you guys prefer tea) Finishing off with a bamboo skewer 🍡, looks pretty dangerous alright, good to know that it did not hit Yen Have a great week, going off to Mount Cook tomorrow 😀
Wooohooo! Mt Cook, feel excited for you. Hope you had some great weather today and caught some awesome views 😎 So true about the terraces, must have taken many generations of hard work to get them into that shape 💪
Love the culture there, with so many old skills still used. It is a perfect tourist location, apart from skewers.. lol. And a 'handy' location for observation. Sorry, couldn't resist that one, prob 'coz I'm a Dad. I had to look twice for the stairs, they are so tiny! Looking forward to potential future adventures 😊
😁 there were no shortage of amazing views from Sapa. Very picturesque area. I think we were lucky with the crowds cause as we left it became a national holiday and there were so many more people.
The cat cat village look very peaceful and less crowded (or did u guys avoid filming the crowd) lol. That vintage sewing machine, I remember watching my cousin sewed our clothes when I was young. That Banh mi (pork floss) looks so yummy. I’m fasting so watching you eat those made me drool 😋🤤.
Hahaha yeah... missing a good banh mi already! Just spent about a month here in Philippines 🇵🇭 We filmed the more peaceful areas but in saying that it wasn't too busy on the day either. 😊 my mum sewed my clothes on a vintage machine too.
@PeterandYen Wow you guys are moving fast. Lucky us, we do have a lot of bread shops that sells good banh mi here. Our mum know how to do alot of things hehehe
hi peter & yen, thank you for the video. very nice & informative. may i have the contact for the local guide phinh & transport please? thank you 😊 rina
I don't think she's on WhatsApp unfortunately.. she gave us her local number so could call her when you're in Vietnam. She can speak English pretty fluently but can't really read. The alternative is when you go to Sapa, go to the tourist office in the town centre and organize through them for the driver and guide (if you can't reach Phinh prior). They are helpful and can organize it all easily for you 🙂👍🏻
We don't have the driver's number btw sorry! We went through the tourist office twice and they just instruct the drivers for you on what you want, where and when to pick you up etc but found they weren't as fluent in English as the guides like Phinh are (they aren't a team I believe and just get paired up). Good luck with it all! 🍀🍀🍀
This simple beautiful province life of Sapa makes it more livable by the locals. Love it. Thanks guys 💖

I feel you on wanting a ride back to the CBD lol an hour and a half is a long walk! Looks lovely tho
Hahaha yes! Lazy traveler life 👍😂
Really enjoyed your videos from Sapa. Superb. The Banh Mi looked incredible, I swear we could smell them!!
😊 sapa was a really fun place to explore. Felt different to the rest of Vietnam 🇻🇳 but then the banh mi brings you right back 😂

Im heading to Sapa in August and this is the best series ive seen on TH-cam thus far. Great job both!
Thank you! 🙌🏻 We hope you'll have an awesome time there 😊

@@PeterandYen …by the way, surprised Yen isn’t a big fan of banh mi’s… though I can see why.. some are quite heavy and processed

😂 I'm not a dad but I've been using dad jokes for as long as I remember 😂 gotta hand out props when they're due... good one 👍
Life is so simple and nice ❤
We're grateful to be able to be observers in their home going about their day 🙂 it's so much hard work that they do ❤️
