  • The Genesis GV70 is a bit of an interruption in the German Leading Luxury SUV segment. It offers high fashion styling, in and out, and a slew of driver aids. We probably wouldn't have the V6, but at least Genesis gives you the option!

    Nice review. I've had my Uyuni white over red/charcoal 3.5 Sport Prestige since November, zero regrets. There's a reason the GV70 has won so many awards and accolades, it's beautiful, reasonably fast, great tech and the best warranty out there. I've owned Germans and Jags in the past, Genesis more than holds it's own and has a strong value statement in the lux compact SUV/crossover segment.

    I actually hate the two spoke steering wheel on the 2.5. I will definitely pay the extra for the three spoke. I am looking to buy this vehicle but it really hard to find the 3.5 v6 in my area. Not to mention the color I wanted.

    I test drove the 2.5 GV70, and while very impressed with the interior, something just felt unreasonably lethargic about trying to motivate the engine/transmission to do anything. It drove great, and definitely had potential to get up to speed, it didn't feel like how I was expecting 300hp and 311lb-ft to feel. It's definitely a great car, but I'm not sure with that engine it's the Sedan killer that some reviewers have marketed it to be. If you're not driving like a TOTAL hoon, I'm sure it's more than plenty enough power though.

      You know, I test drove the stinger gt-line which has the 2.5l engine I believe. I felt the exact same way about the power, it didn’t feel or sound great at all. It wasn’t terrible, but I was coming from a maxima and I was expecting the 40 or so extra ft/lbs of torque to put me back in my seat a little bit more aggressively. I was very disappointed, because on paper that drivetrain looks great. Just didn’t put a smile on my face.

      In my experience, Kia/Hyundai motors aren't very exciting in general. They make power and move the car, but not with any pizzazz. The only exception is the Hyundai N motors in the Veloster, Elantra, and Kona.

    Very nice SUV, but I really think they should switch the shift dial and infotainment dial. Shifters in cars are always closer to front, and it only makes sense for the infotainment dial to be closer to the armrest. You use the info dial a lot more than the shifter, and you could use the dial while resting your arm. Otherwise pretty cool SUV but rather pricey.

    Genesis just still doesn’t give me that high quality vibe
