The scrubbing was only removed as a feature recently and it sucked as I had gotten so used to it

The merging calls feature was invented long before the smartphones. I merged calls on my Samsung SGH-C100 from 2003.

I think the real reason why the 2G didn’t have the App Store is because they wanted to prove to developers that the iPhone had a user base, and it worked.
I am getting an iPhone 3G (the second iPhone) in a few days, and these tricks will certainly come in handy.

I’ve been checking your channel everyday how did I miss this? Good long video Nick, as always. One thing I don’t like is the automatic periods sometimes I add a lot of spaces to have long text but it makes a period.
Thank you!! It is possible to turn off the automatic periods in the keyboard settings. (It’s labeled: “.” shortcut) But I agree. I’ve had a few occasions where the automatic period is annoying too. Usually I just leave the period, add as many spaces as I need, then I do the press and hold the spacebar trick to move the cursor to where the period is, and delete it.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip. Most don't understand how jobs' perfectionism for seemingly minor things like scrolling set the iphone apart (is still a rarity in today)

That's insane that they removed the scrubber in such detail. The yt app for me on iOS and iPadOS has so many issues. On Android and the web nothing major.

Wow these tips will be incredibly helpful! I don’t even use iPhones, I use android, but I do use 2 iPads and almost all of these still exist even there!

Video scrubbing does actually exist, just not on custom video players unless they specifically built that in like youtube
on the fifteen pro you can press the dynamic island to jump to the top of the page
I recently saw that twitter used to have a T on the logo instead of a bird, and I don’t really know if it would have made the transition to “X” better or worse if it still had the T

Which means Samsung probably copied some of the features from the original iPhone. Although, iOS 18 has finally introduced some "new" features that have been around since the first Samsung Galaxy phones 😂
