The Always-On display is only available on the pro-models. It's a little tricky for me to answer on how to best purchase the phone. It depends on a number of factors about your specific situation. Overall, if you can afford to buy it outright, then I'd say do that. But I've had good experience with contracts too. You can also consider a 15 Pro Max. It has a large screen, always on display, supports Apple Intelligence, and should be less expensive!

I could see wanting something larger for sure. But compared to what I'm coming from, this is very immersive. And like I mentioned, it's sitting a little closer to me on my desk than I'd prefer - so that may be playing into why it feels so big 😅

@@nickbradley the games and the DATA sent to the display stay the same between the 2 switches but its the display that's different as in if the normal gets asked to display black it will do the darkest it can which is more gray than black because all of the pixels remain on but for the OLED it just turns off the necessary pixels because an OLED panel has that ability while an LCD does not, OLED has control over every pixel while LCD can only control the entire display in short. so the switch was "using all of the OLED capability" as you say

@@nickbradley iPhone 5s and SE used a different aluminum anodisation process for the chamfers, because the original manufacturing process for the 5 was not mastered and led to loads of issues with chips and blemishes, often visible out of the box (and specially for the black model). Look at the color of the material between 5 and 5s and you’ll notice a difference. Also check articles from 2012 about this topic, there were loads of complains back on time (probably as many as the antenna gate of the 4).

@@Antwan86 I actually owned the slate black iPhone 5. And I do remember all the complaints people had about scratches, although that wasn't my experience. I always loved that color versus the space grey on the 5S. But fair enough. If you're saying the 5C was made due to manufacturing issues with the 5, that may be true. But I wouldn't say that debunks the claim the 5C didn't achieve the goals Apple had in mind for it.

Yes it is! It's actually the first time I'm using something other than an iMac or MacBook as my main display.
