If you haven't already passed the area or already found it, just east of Grand Island is the little town of Aurora. In town at Streeter Park there are campsites with water and elec hookups and a donation box. There is a community pool right there and you can use the showers at the pool when its open. Then within 3 miles of that park is Pioneer Trails Lake park. This park has water and elec hookups and new concrete pads, free, not even a donation box. When we were there in 2016 a sign said it was your soil and water conservation dollars at work.

There still are about 300+ Drive-in movie theaters operating in the USA. (Mainly West Coast, and Eastern half of USA. Not many in Midwest or Rocky Mountain states) So Eric, if you get a chance, and find one on your path, stop by and watch a movie at one in your RV. ;)

I agree! The lower the price the better the campground! I like your buzzed video and the shirt. I think $10 is nearly free. Now back to Wyoming. It is not the state. You have to get off i-80. i-80 through Wyoming is the metaphorical transport artery of the United States. When you are passing through i-80 (in Wyoming), you are basically passing through the continental divide and the Rocky Mountains. Truckers go through there en mass. Elevation is a huge factor. When you were in Buford, your elevation was 8000 feet. In Nebraska, it is nearly 4700. Moab Utah's elevation is about 4000. Factor in times of year, elevation, and major truck artery, and you've given too quick an assessment of the whole state of Wyoming. I love your videos. They are awesome. Thank you!

I'm enjoying your travels on the Lincoln Highway. There's already so much that's been done about route 66, so this is a nice change. Don't know what to expect, and quirky is good. Happy trails.

They are actually still drive in theaters here and there. Washington state has one in the town I used to live in. they still use it. Between Port Orchard and Bremerton in the Puget Sound. Also the one in Tacoma is still active. Still have a few here in Southern California. they get used as well. I love drive-in theaters. there a lot of fun.

I go nearly ever weekend and
Drive almost 45mins to support the Drive-In. They show an extra 35mm film late every Sat night, Third Movie (usually Horror, kung fu, sci fi, or biker type movie) SO AWESOME. I don't go for the new releases but more for that older 3rd movie on reel film! They open in MARCH and close in NOVEMBER here in Indiana.

Eric, lose the shirt it just doesn't work but not the beer. Just buy a couple cans of Automotive paint 2 cans primer 2-3 cans paint 3 cans clear coat buy some cheap plastic open hood pull over motor slice and pull up to top of the windshield use blue tape at top of the shield fenders and doors lightly sand/scuff up old paint. The whole job will cost about $100.00 instead of $350 - $450 bucks and you can do a video on it you can do this just take your time. I did this 3 yrs ago and it came out excellent and still looks excellent that paint has a 30 min dry time I waited for 1 hr in between primer paint and clear took me 5 hr total and you don't have to take the hood off I bought all the material at Auto Zone one stop shop

Your hood is delaminating because GM didn't put enough color coat over the primer. The UV rays went through the white and oxidized the primer to the point that color no longer sticks. Or the primer cured too long before top coat application.
Hows that for some useless information. LOL.

There is a still functioning drive in theater in Long Prairie Minnesota, its really cool they have the original concession stand building etc, feels very retro but their projection is new , new screen (due to a recent tornado), they have great quality FM transmitted audio, and also still have retro window hang car speakers.. Its one of the few still operating drive ins, and its relatively cheap, double features, and concessions are not outrageous like a normal theater.

Usually the ones that only play "family movies" don't do so well financially and tend to close from disrepair. Always such a sad thing because IF IF IF new owner buy them out it takes years to rebuild the audience. With special events and advertising they can do it.

Beckys has two screens and 2 concessions. Two movies each screen. They have overnight on some weekends on summer dusk to dawn showings with at least 4 movies... if you dont like one move then watch the other.. there is the biggest general store. An olympic hero memorial, water falls, river rafting, and the hiking trail , Pocono mountains.

The inside mics sound 20% better than before. When you come by Illinois, try to make a trip to the House on the Rock in Spring Green, WI. It is the King of Quirkiness. You won't regret it..
