Jax kills it, he sits wherever, how smart is that cat......know he means a lot to you and you can definitely see how much he loves his dad.......take care on your travels......
I just traveled down 30 or so miles of the original lincoln highway in Pennsylvania a few days ago. Saw some awesome lincoln highway stuff that i may have just passed by without a thought if it werent for your videos. Thanks for putting it into perspective for me. Looking foward to see if you find the same stuff! Stay safe my friend!
I love all the unusual things you find!!! The burger place was so cool, a car in the wall! Haha! Now I want a burger! LOL!! You do excellent videos, Eric!! That why we love watching them!! The craziness of the 911 call to the close up of Jax was beautiful, his gorgeous eyes...Thank you for taking us so many beautiful and fun places, Safe Travels Eric!! Deb in Ky.
MS. 1ST AGAIN! HEE-HEE! The close up of Jax's face was great, sure has nice face markings! My main neighborhood kitty here is Tiger and he sure loves to be around me! Got back from grocery shopping today and he spotted my car driving into my carport. Stared greeting me even before I got out of the car and even jumped in the car when I opened the door to rub his face against my feet and of course I gave him his regular big helping of Whiskas chow!
Police should have told the retro trailer to move, but keep the engine running (with a wink). Then the other guy pulls up, the cops arrest him for driving drunk, take his rig to the impound, and retro gets his space back and a good nights rest.
It’s so nice you ask our opinion! But you do an amazing job with whatever equipment you choose. Thanks for letting us see the country thru your experiences.
Both cameras work great I seem to slightly prefer the smaller lens where you can zoom in a little more but I could barely tell until you were telling me the difference but just want you to know that they are fantastically clear and the colors are brilliant
I think I prefer the 10-18 lens better, plus you get a bigger view. I don't like the distortion on the new lens, but the image is good. I also noticed that the sky is sometimes blown out since you've had the new camera. There's probably an adjustment for that. Keep up the great work! I"m enjoying your trip across America. :)
Wow! Thanks for sharing that at the end of your Vlog Eric. Life is too short to be so stubborn and pissed off like that. That dude could have handled it in a much, much better way. Absolutely crazily insane. What a waste of time for all parties and everyone involved. It should have been a non-issue and not escalated to a 911 call. That was NOT an emergency!!! Safe travels and thanks for bringing us the joys of your journey on The Lincoln Highway. Oh yeah... I'm going to have to research the Jefferson Highway. 🤔 Never heard of it.
The 911 drama is a serious drain on the system for such a silly issue. But hey...I am loving the quirks along the L highway! And the close up of Jax, of course!
My wife works in retail and has off and on for 30 years. I asked her a couple days ago of people are more rude now than 30 years ago. She told me people have been jerks the whole time. Some people never learned manners and just bully their way through life. Kind of sad.
KoJo2017 It all depends on peoples, kids education, upbringing from young age,,for example,, Ive been visiting Japan few times and the polite behavior and awesome services in all stores busineses is simply mind blowing,,and they dont want or accept tips anywhere.. Also The streets and subway trains are spotlesly clean,,people take pride in keeping their places clean.. ,they even make kids clean their own classrooms in school...
I just subscribed. I have 12 cats. I've been wanting to live like you. You're definitely beating the system. You are the prime example of American freedom.
Love the wide angle and ability to zoon in, plus it is lighter for you, so keep using it. Thanks for fabulous video, video editing, and your flair for querky and wonderful shots of nature.
Hey Bud, I totally agree with you. I've held a CDL license for years and drove in Nebraska and other Midwest states for my job. You are right as it's not the same as being on your own free time, but it's still a sense of freedom without a boss hovering over your shoulder. I have moved to another country and still feel a sense of freedom, even though I'm working. I still get to travel to local nearby cities and experience the different modes of transportation and love all aspects of it. Keep up the good work Bud!
Thanks for sharing qworkkie stuff....Very enjoyable. This is my 10th day full-time in my van. Thanks for your inspiration and information you have given me.
That guy was certainly out there but after 35 years in law enforcement I have been on calls more out there . All of your photography is great thank you
I like seeing mister Jax in the background as you were asking us which camera we preferred. If he’s been there before, I couldn’t see him. If that is the case then I vote for this camera setup. Jax has beautiful green eyes, by the way.
I'm sure you'll figure out which lens works best for you. Sure has great color and definition, you can really notice it on the Jax shot. Wow on the RV park drama! LOL!!
Hi Eric! Great video as always. I like both set ups. I have no camera savvy, am just going on eye appeal, but I think I liked the second set up better. Obviously though both have their own forte's so use which applies the best to each situation. It will be great anyway!😉😀 Be safe, Be blessed. 👍👍👏👏
Same thing happened to my family in NJ. Guy came in at 2am and had to have “his” spot. Seems he had taken the RV out for the day and the campground had assigned us the same spot. We moved after he started yelling and cussing just to avoid the scene. CRAZY!!! Love your videos by the way. Hi to Jax.
It's hot and humid in the midwest. I think it makes perfect sense to stay at a place with electric. I think that was a pretty good price. You were able to take a dip in the pool and have a little entertainment from your neighbors. That's a deal! :)
I agree with maynardcat, the first videos you made were too hot, these look a lot better. I don't think I notice the lack of stabilization with the new set-up, but I do like the wider lens as we are all craving to to see the beautiful scenery that you take us to. Much kudos for you dedication to you craft, your the only travel blog I now follow as the others are just to amateur! Cheers
I think it's cool you're traveling the Lincoln Highway. About 6 years ago I lived on Lincoln Highway In Canton, OH. They also have a Lincoln Highway garage sale that I participated in. Happy trails!
Hi Eric and your camera picked that up so clearly . I like the wide angle lense I can't wait to see what it looks like when you show those vast mountain ranges.
Eric, your hotel/restaurant in Colo has some great history, in that the owner went to a meeting and they re-routed the highway AROUND his restaurant, just because he asked. How times have changed.
Well that was quite the mixture of events and sightseeing, I like those nuggets of information. Love history. This is, again, Very interesting and entertaining. Love Jax's big blue/green eyes and, can your eyes be any bluer. A can't imagine it is 95 in Iowa, my nose is running, waiting for summer in Maine
The closeup of Jax at 15:00 was fantastic. The bright backgrounds were a little washed out, but that may be correctable with a setting change. The zoom capability adds a tremendous variety to the shot choices. As much as you carry the camera around, the lighter weight is a definite plus. I would definitely use that setup.
On outside shots, the ultra-wide angle lens is a bit harder to use correctly, because if your face stays stationary in the middle of the image, but the background moves around, it is much easier to watch if your face takes up a bigger part of the picture. When you use the UWA lens, it's like there's this tiny Eric face in the foreground and a huge and always moving background. Thinking back to your videography tips video several months ago.
Well done Eric. You truly are doing an awesome job, yes, it's a job but what a life. I don't like the sultry wide lens. I loved that super zoom in on Jax face. Generally video is crips ANC clear. Noticeably better. Yiu cracked me up about the water for the elephant and crocs not being on yet. It was really lovely to see some vegetable on your burger! A daily burger with salad and without the chips/fries would be quite healthy.
Wider is better. I like your candid, real life events like the clash over a parking slot when so many more were available. This may help prepare me for my adventure, when I get bold enough to take off.
Hi Eric. Your second lens you used seems to have a problem or lack of "Stabilization". The video seems to be jumpy more so then your lens in the first part of the video. Not a criticism, just some input because you asked. Love the vids....keep em comin!
I like both lenses and agree that you should use each depending on situation. I think the 15-45 works better when you are outside and the other is nicer when you are inside..
Tried to buy that wide angle for my M50 but Best Buy said they were out of adapters nationwide. I'm shooting with the kit lens but miss the wide angle. We're traveling US 2 now to Glacier NP so will check along the way. Love the camera. Gld I saw your birthday video.
I don't understand. the guy with the retro trailer was assigned the spot first. then the drunk jerk comes along, gets assigned the same spot as retro trailer and the retro trailer has to move? I think drunk jerk should move. he was there second
Well, it’s not the sensational story of a drunken bully who pulls up & demands an occupied space, & then intimates the police & management into telling the retro folks to take a hike. Old guy hasn’t drank in over 30 years. The couple in the retro RV went to security, saying the guy was “drunk”, after he knocked on their door, & security called the tribal police. He had been parked there earlier that day, & had previously paid for 3 weeks. Management had given him the orange cone (that’s even visible on my 3” phone) to reserve his place. Doesn’t speak well of someone who would go the extra mile to include footage & his presumptions, & then fail to acknowledge that management intervened and saw to it that the old guy retained his spot. It may seem “frivolous” to some now, but one day they may find out otherwise.
Hey Eric. I like both lens choices. You can use either one that suits you. When I was using my 35mm SLR I would sometimes carry a smaller lens in my pocket just in case. Enjoyed the video as always. Happy trails.
There's a lot of talk about your new camera and lenses. I like many here don't understand all the technical stuff nor do I care. You do your thing and we'll set back and watch. No problems and have fun with your new stuff
Hi Eric, This is Aart from the Netherlands. I like it better with the first lens on your cam. But I like your vlogs anyway keep up the good stuff and happy travels.
The only difference I noticed was the colors are a little less intense on the lighter one but they're actually more natural looking. I think, for that reason, I like it better.
Resolution on the new camera and clarity on both lenses looks good. Only thing I would recommend is a neutral density filter for outdoor as it looks a little blown out at times👍
That 15mm + zoom lens works fine. Tighter but good enough. Still getting used to the exposures. It does fine on your face but other things seem over exposed a lot. The greens are intense too.
The new camera looks great. I think the kits lens looks a little better, and if it's lighter and offers more flexibility that'd win out for me. The wide angle looks good too
#1 Good Morning, Eric. I noticed that you parked near a Winnebago Trend 23D at the Casino. That RV gets 15 to 16 miles per gallon. I think both camera lenses work well for certain conditions. Your Editing is excellent!
Jax kills it, he sits wherever, how smart is that cat......know he means a lot to you and you can definitely see how much he loves his dad.......take care on your travels......

Love Jax's face at the 11:08 mark. Such a handsome kitty!!! Hi Jax!!!
That close up of Jax...BEAUTIFUL.
What a wonderful close-up of Jax! Enjoy your adventures around the country with Jax😊
Police should have told the retro trailer to move, but keep the engine running (with a wink). Then the other guy pulls up, the cops arrest him for driving drunk, take his rig to the impound, and retro gets his space back and a good nights rest.
Both lenses have their place i just am amazed at how clear and crisp all videos come at you keep it up bro love the channel
I love your cat, Sassy Jax. You always find such interesting things in any town. Stay safe, and Happy Trails!
I couldn't tell the difference, maybe because your videos are so awesome. Drive safe and have fun safe travels
That is a great close-up of Jax, love that cat.
I love that Lincoln Statue with the top hat. You always do great videos on this Lincoln Highway be safe💙🐱💙🐈
In your latest videos you seem so happy! I just loved Jax's close up it was so crisp and clear, so beautiful!
I was surprised when you went to wide angle that nothing was distorted to an oval shape. Looks good.
Keep doing your thing man, live the adventure, stay humble.
Fabulous footage of jax
that lighter standard lens is superb, great clarity, it jumps off my screen
Wow! Thanks for sharing that at the end of your Vlog Eric. Life is too short to be so stubborn and pissed off like that. That dude could have handled it in a much, much better way. Summed up my thoughts. God bless Eric and Jax.
When there's a Karen things rarely remain civil.
A burger in every city! Gotta love it!

I do like the 45mm.
Love the wide angle and ability to zoon in, plus it is lighter for you, so keep using it. Thanks for fabulous video, video editing, and your flair for querky and wonderful shots of nature.
That guy is nuts. Safe travels Stay cool.

The lens really works either way for me. Both are excellent. You do have some of the best video on youtube. You are a master of your craft.
What a great day! Love the video Eric! A crazy 911 for sure!
been watching for 4 or so years, really enjoy the wider lens
That guy was certainly out there but after 35 years in law enforcement I have been on calls more out there . All of your photography is great thank you
Another great video, but I've never seen you shake the camera so much. Fix the shaking and you got it made. The 4K is just unreal. Thanks Eric.
Great vid, Eric. I'm w/you on the burgers, for sure. Really enjoyed this. Thanks for your great work.
love the second lens, especially closeups of our man Jax.
Wow, this vid is so clear and colorful since you got the new cam.. super job Eric...
Either or lens. I fine with both. Go with what you like!
There seems to be a noticeable difference in stabilization between the two lenses
Good morning Eric and Jax! Love the video!

Camera is up to you. I enjoy your videos so much I wish it was 7 days a week. Thank you for what you do.
that is nuts people fight over the dumbest things.love your videos eric and jax
Dude I'm liking the new camera!! Definitely liking the Lincoln Hwy episodes.
I like the sharper background. It's great to see all the places you visit.
It's hot and humid in the midwest. I think it makes perfect sense to stay at a place with electric. I think that was a pretty good price. You were able to take a dip in the pool and have a little entertainment from your neighbors. That's a deal! :)
I like that second, lighter lens. Good job!!!
I like the new lens!!! I noticed it right away, even before you explained that you had changed!!! Good move!!!
The wide-angle looks great Eric
I loved the Flamingo Motel! Cool stuff.
I agree with maynardcat, the first videos you made were too hot, these look a lot better. Enjoy the old quirky stuff your film, you do a great job editing. Yes belligerent people even in RVs. Some are just kings in their own minds.
I think it's cool you're traveling the Lincoln Highway. About 6 years ago I lived on Lincoln Highway In Canton, OH. They also have a Lincoln Highway garage sale that I participated in. Happy trails!
Hi Eric and your camera picked that up so clearly . I like the wide angle lense
I can't wait to see what it looks like when you show those vast mountain ranges.
The second lens seemed to make the background cleared and not as washed out. Much better picture than the first lens. Just my opinion. Safe travels.
Eric, your hotel/restaurant in Colo has some great history, in that the owner went to a meeting and they re-routed the highway AROUND his restaurant, just because he asked. How times have changed.
I like the ultrawide lens. Great video.

I think you meant the 11:00 timestamp?
Yep, that's what i meant to type.
both are good you got good equipment man looks really good, thanks for doing what you do.
WE Live in a Trailer Park', WE do what want!! LOL. I like the first camera. Good SHOW!! "KEEPitRollin"

I like the last part with the other lens. It really zooms in good.

Have a great day mate all the best from across the pond! :)

Hi Eric, This is Aart from the Netherlands. I like it better with the first lens on your cam. But I like your vlogs anyway keep up the good stuff and happy travels.
Love the extra widescreen
Glad you made it to my tiny town of Colo.
Isn't Colo. the abbreviation for Colorado?
The only difference I noticed was the colors are a little less intense on the lighter one but they're actually more natural looking. I think, for that reason, I like it better.
Thanks for all the cool info. We will be traveling the Lincoln in August headed east from Az

Both lenses look good. Use what YOU prefer, Eric.
A guy like you is definitely ON the cheeseburgers. Glad to see you in my neck of the woods!
#1 Good Morning, Eric. I noticed that you parked near a Winnebago Trend 23D at the Casino. That RV gets 15 to 16 miles per gallon. I think both camera lenses work well for certain conditions. Your Editing is excellent!
I liked the close up of Jax. The image looked very sharp.
The cam is like my new cams for my DVR more open so nice
Gas was .27 when I was a senior in ‘69....👍🚍
People are crazy Eric. Have a good journey.
Your new camera set up is GREAT. The wide angle lens is preferred, but if weight is an issue use the kit lens.
