Well unfortunately, half of them never really got to do too much...regardless, we're here today to try and rank them all from weakest to strongest! Let me know your rankings in the comments.

What do you guys think of the ranking? Did I underrate Kensei? He's the one I'm most conflicted on... Let me know!
Well, I can't blame you. His fight against mask was pretty pathetic. His bankai isn't that strong. it matches on you last vid about power scaling about it being a little messed up, being weaker than a lutenent and he also doesn't have that many powers.
I think you were absolutely right with kensei, man was not impressive at all.
Well Kensei was my favorite of all the wizard, his design and bankai were pretty awesome. However Mask wrecked him, and if it wasn't for Renji demolishing mask Yamamoto style, he'd still be up there. But as you said in your last vid, it's hard to tell how strong Renji had become.
That being said, the question we should ask ourselves is: How would the other wizard fare against Kensei or Mask?
I would guess Shinji might have a chance against Mask and his Bankai would force Mask to kill James and sabotage his recovery powers. I don't think Love would do any better than Kensei though. And against Kensei, maybe Rose and Shinji's abilities can put him away, I think Love and Kensei are actually on the same level (too bad we cannot judge Love's Bankai even though he had plenty of opportunities to show it).
In the end, it would be a question of matchmaking and how abilities would interact with each other.
I think that Kensei, Love and Rose are all very close in strength, and we don't know exactly how strong they are. The Wonderweiss fight is hard to talk about considering we didn't see it, but either Kensei lost, because Wonderweiss was just stronger then him, which is possible, since he seems to stop a slash from Yamamoto's sword and throw him, or you could say that MAYBE Wonderweiss' Resurrección is able to nullify all kinds of flames including things like explosions, which would make yet another horrible match-up for Kensei.
Another possibility is that Kensei didn't use his mask just like in the TYBW, because he just doesn't use it when it would be a good idea for some reason. It is hard to figure out, because we either don't see the battles he his in or he just has a horrible match-up
I personally think that Shinji is above Tousen in terms of abilities based of the fact that Shinji dodges an attack from Tousen while off guard and that he is one of the few people to even damage Aizen. (Unless you say ever attack except for Yamamoto's Ittō Kasō and Ichigo's attacks didn't happen, because of Kyoka Suigetsu) We also see that a single hit from Komamura's Bankai broke Tousen's arm, when he was in Hollowfication.
Tousen's Hollowfication and Resurrección power boosts also seem independent, based on how strong his mask and Resurrección were, being weaker then Tenken in mask and on par or slightly stronger in Resurrección, and Tousen seems unable to use Shikai and Bankai when using Resurrección, which are imo his strongest tools. Shinji with his mask and sakanade would imo beat Tosen, but it can be argued that Tosen could be stronger.

Kubo really introduced them, hype them up, then dumped them in the trash. They're even more pathetic in the thousand year blood war arc.

The sad part is that the Vizards were Aizen’s experiments, but Tousen was the real deal, the results of years of hollow investigation.
Poor Tosen, he went from bellow SS shikai Kenpachi/Ichigo level to mid-bankai level after literary selling his soul to the devil. Reminds me of the: *"Are ya winning, son?"* meme.
not completely. I mean yeah they were a experiment, but urahara did the important thing. When the hogyoku served for urahara his fill hearted wish was to meke these vizards. For Aizen it was most likely more the wish to be the strongest and not the best hollowficator
Tosen was the first to showcase a serious reiatsu/speed boost. Captain level w/bankai hollowfication w/ a real ressureccion. The rest were scalable above captain level but tosens showings against kaname was exceptional
@@kana22693 Tosen could've beaten Kenpachi, he only lost because he wanted to make him suffer. Pretty sure that with bankai he'd trash SS arc shikai Ichigo

Y'all remember when Mashiro talked shit about keeping up her mask for hours then it broke after like 5 minutes.
Yeah, seems like her hollow power works very differently from the others.
The other mask users have an on/off switch transformation with a constant but consistent expenditure of stamina, but hers is more like a gas lamp;
When she's just transformed but not exerting herself she's not using much fuel, getting a weaker flame, but it burns much longer.
When she gets more intense using ceros and the increased movement speed and strenght it's like turning the knob; brighter flame, but losing fuel fast.
Ya’ll remember that time Kubo’s writing style took a massive dip after the first arc in such a way it felt as though it was a completely different person writing the series after that point? 😂
She over exerted her reiatsu. Think of it like how some fusions in DB break after using too much power. Also something to note is that the Vizards are protypes, Their mask Hollowfication is not the same as Ichigo’s whose is natural compared to theirs. It’s probably the best explanation for why they have short time limits with the exception of Mashiro who seems to be the least fazed by her circumstances
I always took it as her training sucked. She took over her hollow in 10 mins and can keep a mask on in non combat for hours. Unfortunately i dont think she tested herself in pitch combat to see how her duration lasted. Love and rose said theres was 3 mins and i can believe it cause i feel they may have trained to extend their time
I assumed her mask broke as Wonderwise screamed due to something about his scream disrupting her hollowfication.
My understanding of mashiro's mask is that she could keep it up for 15hrs when just doing nothing at all, but she overestimated how much use she'd have of it in a fight due to exerting herself it uses that time up significantly faster.
EXACTLY! That's what I always thought as well! Like, she can keep it for 15 hours when she's just maintaining it, or sparing with the other Vzards, which wouldn't go to hard on her maybe, but in a real fight where she gets tired and stuff, since she haven't fought for real in more than 140 years, the mask breaks quickily
Exactly, think of it like this.
One of (if not the longest ranged non nuclear submarines in history was the IXD2 of the German Kriegsmarine, in ideal conditions (good quality fuel, machinery operating properly, not fighting rough seas, etc) and maintaining a speed of no more than 10 knots....had a maximum range, of over 20 THOUSAND nautical miles...
Now it had a top speed of about 20 knots or so, but that would reduce it's range to under 9 thousand miles iirc.
Mashiro is a lot like this, the more she exerts herself, the faster she's done in.
This was too obvious that it really baffles me there are many people who don't get it

@@myowntempo5775 Nope, actually it was the fraction that attracted the Hollow to attack the person(in this case, it's always a mother), thus resulting the Hollow power inside of the surviving person to be passed into their child.

Lisa is actually underrated. She lasted an hour in her base form fighting an uncontrolled berserk Hollow Ichigo while Hiyori was about to get her rights violated in 5 seconds.

Tousen's downfall was using the Hollow powers instead of his Bankai.
His regular Bankai was strong af.

Kenpachi made minced meat of Tousen when he was using his Bankai. Komamura even had to jump in for Tousen to survive.

i think Kensei's power is veiled by his crazy opponents. Wonderweiss gets massively underrated. he isn't just good for the sake of extinguishing Yama's zan. he's fast enough to surprise Yama and against most other captains, he would have been a serious issue. Kensei being beaten by WW shouldn't be a knock. and Mask De Masculine is INSANE.
Mask is like a weaker Gerard with means he’s still cracked, and WW was designed to beat Yama if my memory serves. Obviously Aizen was wrong and WW wasn’t strong enough but still he was strong enough Aizen thought he could throw hands with the strongest captain. The fact Kensei lived through the fight should say something

We actually see that Kensei is one of the weaker visored in the Turn Back the Pendulum arc. Love goes toe to toe with hollowfied Kensei. What's more interesting is that Lisa reacts to hollowfied Kensei better than Rose did as well, implying that Rose is weaker than Lisa, at least in combat skill.
@@dontmisunderstand6041 ehh that's a really faulty way of looking at things, in my opinion. hollowified Kensei gives literally the whole group a hard time. but he has no strategy, intelligence, tactics, technique, etc because he's a mindless hollow brute at that point. that doesn't mean base Love is stronger than hollow Kensei...people kill elephants, bears, big cats, elk, etc because we have higher intelligence, which leads to our use of camoflage, firearms, strategy, etc. that they don't have. that doesn't mean we are stronger than them.
@@blitzzace Hollowfied Kensei does give them all a hard time, that's true. But, it's worth noting that hollowfication comes with a pretty substantial power boost, and they're actively trying not to kill him. Base Love wasn't stronger than hollow Kensei, but he did face tank a direct attack to no significant damage, which does say some pretty clear things about how base Love compares to base Kensei in raw power.
Man, the synergy that could've existed if Shinji and Aizen were allies. Shinji's Bankai could turn friend to foe but Aizen's Kyoka Suigetsu could twist their allies' perception so that everyone appeared normal while the enemies kill eachother.

@@seankrkovich2869 yeah Shinji's Bankai's only advantage would probably be the fact that Aizen needs his enemies to actually see the release of Kyoka Suigetsu lol if they do see the release they start seeing whatever Aizen wants them to see

Its strange that kubo made a bunch of captain and vice captains who gained hollowfication kind of weak compared to the normal soul reapers.
Getting hollow powers is one of the most underlooked thing in bleach.
I would like to see a video of you explaining the Hōgyoku.
It isn’t underlooked because having Hollow powers have never accomplished a single thing in the series outside of Ichigo fighting Ulquiorra. No Vizard has done anything of value in the entire series.

For Kensei vs Wonderweiss, I was also very disappointed, but I turned understanding when it was revealed what Kensei’s Bankai’s ability was. The ability to produce continuous explosions as long as contact is made is kinda useless against someone specifically created to absorb fire.
Kind of crazy that they gave Tosen such a power and Aizen as well. However, Gin never had any power up, and still stayed on that high of a level.

I think Gin probably just trained The databooks show the captains strength in the SS arc and they do not match up with how strong he is later on so i'm pretty sure he trained but didn't get any power ups
I mean Gin is basically an Assasine, most of his fights insisted them to either backstab someone or lying about his true Powers.

@@rleor5694 my theory too. I had the feeling when they were introduced that some of the Vaizards actually resent the other Shinigamis and want nothing to do with them anymore. And who would blame them? They were Hollowfied against their will, and then were exiled and left to die pretty much, if Kisuke wouldn't have saved them.

i agree with RleoR. I think he rejected just like Hyori. She REFUSED to come back to the SS. In the Can't Fear novels she states she still hates SR. so maybe he feels the same? I mean Soi Fen is still hateful towards them
I'd say the vizards should get a major part to play in the first invasion as their bankai cannot be stolen they should be able to come help the ones being beaten just barely enough to avoid fatal wounds or just a second late. It would still keep the sense of loss from the first invasion without downplaying the visards and the advantage we can obviously see but never explored much.
good point also that could play as the quincies notice them as half hollow maybe show some shikais and hollow mask, so in the second invasion they become their primary targets, due to her powers, at least in that way they could be important
i wish kubo didn't disregard the vizards because they're amazing and unique. I wish he gave them more of a chance to show off their powers. i really love this group in bleach.

Please, Imagine Shinji is in Hueco Mundo for some reason. Aizen, Tousen and Gin are not there for some reason. And thus Shinji is left surrounded by all Espada, Fraccion, former Espada and any other Arrancar in there. Shinji apparently can solo them in Bankai plus hollow mask.
He'd definitely solo, even throw in Gin and Tousen he'd still win. Shinji's bankai is too broken and by the end of the fight there will be one worn opponent whom he'd be able to finish off on his own.
Barragan could end up killing him, but he would also kill everyone around. Stark wouldn't even want to fight lol
@@visionaryvjae5641 Gin butonerjins Shinji from 20km and insta kills him, Barragan kills him, Starrk cero spams him, Ulquiorra also wins. Shinji does win vs 10 to 5 espadas and Halibel and Tousen.
@@ThePipojp halibel should be a direct counter to Barragan's ability. If he's potentially fighting others at the same time i don't think he's garunteed to survive. Especially since his reitsu Is outranked by stark and max power Yammy and we don't know where Ulquiorra ranks.

You need Yama and Quilge type characters to just kill it, sheer terror he won't able to stand alone, what more if Barragan in Hueco Mundo full Arrogante form is there. Hyping up Shinji is cool, but the author himself implies they are just mid tiers, product of the past coming to present and filling spots not really something you are all hyping so much for or maybe the author reserving him for what's best to come.
I agree n disagree with Kensei spot .He's a Top Tier Hakuda master and if I'm not mistaken only ones above him is Yama-Ji and Yoruichi but he suffers from Chad effect , where character is super strong but has to lose , cuz plot requires to show how strong the Villain is.
Yes i actually agree with that. Honestly best way to phrase it. He scales to yoruichi level roughly hakuda wise and both are only second to yama. Also i believe raw strength wise he’s only second to released zaraki at the of the manga so not a weak character by any chance just weak writing
He shouldve beat mask mid diff and rose ESPECIALLY should’ve beat mask low diff based on his bankai but tht whole fight was badly written

Your forgetting about Soifon. She is without a doubt top tier when it comes to hakuda. Do you forget she fought evenly with yorurichi in the ss arc? You talk about his strength which i dont deny. But its funny because soifon actually has a MAXED OUT STRENGTH STAT IN THE DATA BOOK. I would say Yorurichi, Soifon, then Kensei if we are talking about hand to hand combat
@@UlquiorraSolos Lmaoooo trust me I don’t underestimate soifons physical abilities at all. We were talking about kensei but yea i think soifon scales to yama/yorouichi level as far as hakuda and speed as well. Also her shunko form at the end of the manga gives her insane destructive abilities as well. Id really say her and kensei are actually relatively equal/comparable captains. She has the edge on speed, he has the edge on strength. She has a two hit kill shikai, he has a bankai that should KO any none God tier/high elite tier opponent (seriously read what his bankai actually does, it sends continuous explosive force into yr body forever as long as his fists are touching you, that’s insane lmao, not many characters are gonna be able to walk after that)
@@user-eo7wx2zr4n I definitely agree with you! :) I would say they are pretty close if they ever fought. His bankai is pretty crazy though. Wish we could have seen it used on someone other than mask since mask could recover

Hyori could actually fit in Squad 11, not only her personality but her Zanpakuto is not a kido type.
Perfect ranking, tbh. Even though Kensei is my favorite Vizard, I can see why he's ranked the lowest of the Captains. Tekken Tachikaze is, on paper, an offensive *powerhouse,* but just doesn't have the versatility of the hacks in comparison to his competition. It's also quite possible we haven't seen the full extent of his Bankai's abilities (like what the hell is that metal arc that forms on his shoulders; that has to have some purpose).
I always found Kensei kind of easy to forget among the vizored & yeah while he's supposedly a powerhouse with his bankai it isn't like you ever see him winning. Lisa is my personal favorite of the vizored & at least Aizen acknowledged that Harribel didn't stand a chance against her, Hitsugaya (who was at less than half strength), & Hiyori when they worked together.
Do a list for all the soul king candidates would be fun even though they aren't that many

It somehow felt to me that Tousens resurrection makes him weaker than his normal hollowfied form
He was drunk on power and, ironically, blinded by having sight, since he ignored his other senses to bask in it.
And he just used his hollow powers and not any kidou or shinigami abilities.
Hachi could have fought Szayel since both are number 8
He relies too much on his hollow powers and leaves himself open. Something that wouldn't have happened in his normal blind state. He got tunnel vision along with his returning vision.
Vizards are what Ichigo could have been, He could have been able to use his hollow powers more efficiently had he stuck with them long enough. I miss his hollow mask already, imo vizard Ichigo was the best Ichigo.
Doesn't he basically have a ressurection in the final arc? Way more impressive than any of the vizards.
@@IchigoKurosaki911 I'm talking about back during the Arrancar arc. And he only merged his hollow and Quincy power which is different than a resurreccion he was already that powerful just being suppressed by the Quincy Zangetsu
@@glint3924 I don't think Ichigo can make "masks" anymore because the form he took against Ywach is basically like his new mask so to say and the most powerful one to date because it has the horn from the vasto lorde Ichigo form and the new form kinda automatically grants him any hollow ability so long as he just asks White how to do it. Also back in the arancar arc he was using his mask more efficiently than some of the vizards to be honest the only thing Ichigo couldn't do that they can was fire ceros but that's probably just because Quincy Zangetsu was suppressing his hollow side by a lot. I do agree that arrancar arc Ichigo is probably him at his very best, it was like how Naruto was during the Pain arc.
I always thought his hollow form that fought Ulqiorra he was gonna use to be Aizen, and I kinda wish that happened.
@@glint3924 It might as well be a ressurection as he's essentially half hollow at that point, it's clearly more than just a mask since the marking streaks past his face.
I think the issue with a lot of the Vizards is that their sword releases just aren't bombastic enough--they're a majority of upright brawler types. The Hollow powers didn't do enough to differentiate them, either.
Shinji is far from an upright brawler. I'd call him a down-left brawler instead :P

I keep saying this but I really hope Kubo deviates from the manga in the anime adaptation and fixes all the faults he can possibly change, surely between the years his thought about a few things he could've done differently

I love your list, the only things I would change would be: putting Shinji over Tosen and Kensei over Love
Especially the former. Before either one had Visored abilities, Shinji held his own against a full-strength Tosen while he himself was being weakened by hollowfication ... without using his shikai and just relying on zanjutsu and speed in TBTP. And this was a Tosen that already had bankai so he wasn't weak by any means.
Shinji dodged Kanames strike point blank while he was charging Aizen didn't he? Kaname gained sight, massive speed boost but honestly, seeing everything in reverse would confuse him even more because he wasn't used to it.
Vizards were dope as heck, they dress up like they are some kind of music group and gonna drop those sick beats.

This is excellent, always hoping you'll do an Espada video one day. Like a top ten, with ulqiourra's second release, #0, Nel, and whatnot taken into account.
FYI I wouldn't be surprised if Rose got his hands dirty in the Quincy genocide given he was ranking then and the bloodthirsty statements about ending many lives while sporting a serial killer's grin. Indeed his jovial attitude seems a mask to both hide his nature and cope.
I think Vizards are more suited to fend off the Quincy invasion because Hollow power is poisonous to Quincy thus they cannot steal their Bankai (assuming almost all has Bankai or maybe except Hiyori and Hachigen).
Love’s bankai not being revealed is a real shame since his shikai is so unique.

Rose is also my favorite vizard. He maybe could have defeated the star quincy guy, if he didn’t explain his bankai. Like his bankai was sick, and kubo just threw it away. His shikai is also very cool, I just wish kubo actually gave him an opportunity to show his skills better
I think a short spinoff story detailing the Vizards lives before they were exiled and the Aisen experiments that gave them hollow powers. And the things they did during their exile.
They may do that as part of a filler arc where we also see how it was decided on who would go back and who would stay.
Bleach should've been as long as one piece, imo.

@FireStar10058 hitsugaya killed noone . Noone ! And he had like a dozen fights in the last arc . Out of every captain he got it the worst . Being shown is not always good if it is to be crapped on.
Agree for shunsui but as the headcaptain he still was not THAT impressive
@FireStar10058 yes hitsugaya did fine vs cang du but kubo still continued this trend with hitsugaya of having the boss of the bad Guy kill him .

tbh I really wanted to see Hachi on TYBWA, he could've fought Perneida and we'll see if his kidou/spells can hold against Perneida's 'weird' thing/technique. Perneida's technique is somewhat like similar to the King of Hueco Mundo's (Aging).
I was looking forward to him too. It's only fitting to make space/time bending characters like Hachi to fight against Yhwach but :/

I really think Kubo could have done more with Love, he felt like the forgotten Vaizard alongside Mashiro.
And I think he should have become the captain of the 7th division after Komamura's death - He was captain level, we have an open spot...but no, let's give the job to the vice captain no one cared about
At least Love had an iconic fight alongside Rose against Stark, which is why I remember him more than Kensei. Mashiro's memorability comes from her claims of being able to wear her mask for 16 hours straight. I admit I always forget Tetsusaimon because you rarely see him do stuff. I really have to reread/rewatch Bleach after all these years. I can't remember if Love was Squad 7 although if he was it's weird he didn't get his captain position back following Komamura's death.
Shunsui got promoted to Head Captain after both Ginryusai Yammamoto & his Vice Captain died. Squad 2 was Yoruichi's Stealth Force: Sui-Fong & Omaeda. Squad 4 was the Healers with Unohana getting replaced by her Vice Captain. Squad 6 was Byakuya & Renji right? Squad 7 was Komamura & Tetsusaimon. Lisa deserved her promotion to Shunsui's former Squad 8 I think? Squad 10 was Kenpachi's Gang, Squad 11 was Hitsugaya & Rangiku, Squad 12 was the Research Division that Urahara started & Kurotsuchi took over. Squad 13 was Jushiro Ukitake & Rukia's Captain. Kensei & Tosen were Shuhei's captains, while Shinji (formerly Aizen) is Momo's Captain, & I think Rose & Gin were Izuru Kira's captains.

I love Iba getting promoted. Even tho I fuck with Love way more. For me, Iba always showed he had ambition to always go further then his peers. Not in the terms of action of course. But mind set. Also love mystery aspect he and vice captain have. We actually don’t know much about them. So it makes it interesting to see what they do in the Hell arc.

Sure, his behaviour since the first time you see him show he really wanted and was working toward that goal, but if that was Kubo's plan he should have put Iba into the fray from the start, like he did Rangiku and Hisagi. Action wise, Renji deserved the spot a lot more.
@@TheAzulon like ikkaku though. They choose to stay behind their captain. That’s why I give props to Iba. Of all those those respectable vice captains. He was only the one with actual initiative to be recognized. Now yes he never showed any feats or action qualities during the entire series. However that’s why I think he now stepping up( from what we can see) as a captain. In the Hell arc we may get why he was promoted? Why he’s also humble in the promotion? And why he the vice captain he did? I even like to think before Rukia he was the most recent to become captain. Lisa and Isane being the first two. So definitely room to grow. Love is still out there. And still capable.
Kubo’s knack for character design is only rivalled by his lack of attention span. Like a super dog that can catch every car but leaves them be once he caught them 😅
I’m adding this in after viewing the section on Rose. “Ein Heldenleben” means “A hero’s life” and is literally named after a tone poem by the German composer Richard Strauss, it is meant to be a complimentary piece to another tone poem he wrote called Don Quixote. Ein Heldenleben is an epic piece which is meant to be performed with no breaks or intermission and consists of 6 movements called The hero, The hero’s adversaries, the hero’s companion, the hero at battle, the hero’s works of peace and finally the hero’s retirement from this world and completion. You should consider listening to it as I’m sure the movements and structure will give you a better idea of what you could expect from Rose’s Bankai. He seems to be fully rooted in theatrics and composition which could lead to some spectacular abilities if utilised correctly, it’s such a shame that Kubo only gave us the tip of the iceberg 😔 I’m not sure if the abilities would be bespoke but I think a safe assumption given the abstract nature would be that Rose would be able to utilise the elements and layer them up to an over the top finale, as a conductor does when writing for an orchestra,

Mashiro and Kensei are my fav Vizards. I think if i HAD TO choose between them, I'd prob lean more towards Kensei as my number 1. I really wish i couldve seen Mashiros SHIKAI and BANKAI (if she even has it, but it's definitely plausible)
Yeah there were too many important characters that we never saw the Shikai for like Nanao & Mashiro. I also want to see Lisa's confirmed Bonkai. Would you have been willing to trade Kensei's life to see Mashiro's Bankai & potentially Shuhei's as well?

Kensei got nerfed hard! To lose a battle is one thing, but to lose in such a humiliating manner really hurt his standing.

I wish Kubo gave captains more interactions and how they feel/think about each other. It’s like they only care about one or two people outside of their division and then don’t care for each other. But have been captains for a long time
This. Also makes me believe it would make no difference whether Byakuya is dead or alive because other characters don't really react to the deaths of their comrades and Rukongai genocide by their own. Considering how it was written. Most of them don't feel like characters with solid personalities.

You know, mentioning the resurrection I think it’s a missed opportunity in the thousand year war arc for the vizards, at least shinji not to work to gain one. It just feels like a natural way for them to seek after more power and not get stomped by the Quincy

Mr. Tommo, I've been watching your videos all year and I must say out of all of the videos I agree with this one 100% Kensei just seems really weak to me out of the four Captain class Vizards he has the coolest appearance but is the weakest I think I'm like the appearance of his bankai more but I like the ability of his shikai more I think Rose is more powerful he's my favorite as well I wish we could have seen the full extent of his final ability would have loved to see Love's Bankai and Shinji's actually used in the war.
I also love that fact that you put Tousen as #1 finally giving him some love very few captains have the style that Tousen has the guy is just a cool character cool design cool ability being sound and senses manipulation and even his first stage hollowfication was badass.
My least favorite part about the vizards is how little they use their masks or how little the impact is. Kensei if memory serves right never uses his mask without immediately getting sidelined.
I mean come on Ichigo's mask gives him a massive boost to his abilities and upgrades his getsuga if memory serves right but the vizards their masks do nothing but a slight power boost at best. At worst it does nothing noticable or we just never see it used
Suppose it depends on the nature of the character, their hollow, and how reliant they are on that power.
Mashiro for example definitely becomes several times stronger when using her hollow powers.
That said. They were a rather early experiment and their hollow powers aren't all that well understood. Meanwhile we know a lot about how Ichigo's hollow had decades to grow and mature... So no clue.
I'm more concerned by the fact that they were supposed to be more experienced than most current Gotei13 but were sidelined so easily. Shinji being a pretty high tier master that should have been on par with Ukitake, Kyouraku etc. is just sidelined so easily in the last arc. A real shame.

The only disagreement is your number one pick. He seems to be weaker than alot if Espadas in my opinion.
His first fight in the series seems to show he's one of the weaker captains already so going in to this he already shown to be at a disadvantage. I think Espada 4 and above can beat him.
100% agree with you. I don’t see (spoilers, I suppose) Tousen being able to touch Ulquiorra level Espada and above. Yammy is fodder of course so he doesn’t count, but the top 4 Espada have significantly higher feats than Tousen. Mopping the floor with Komamura is not very impressive, especially since Komamura was able to get significant hits on him. Then to be beaten by Hisagi?
No way Komamura and Hisagi are touching Starrk, Barragan, Harribel, or Ulquiorra.
Yeah i have to agree, Tousen always striked me as the weakest among the original 13 captains, except maybe komamura. Even eith his new hollowfication powers komamura was still doing fairly well.

You all seem to forget that Tousen's bankai is crazy. Kenpachi was just a bad matchup for him. But, in turn back the pendulum, Tousen one shots pretty much everyone (Kensei, Love, hollow Hiyori, Lisa, Hachi,...).
However, in his hollow form, while he is stronger, it seems that he cannot use his scary bankai anymore... So I don't know what to think about it.
@@Zakeru750 his bankai is kind of insane i just think that most captain level fighters when they realize what it could do could probably deal with it. I always wondered why he never used it after hollowfying. Maybe he traded it in for the resurrecion I don't know just spitballing ideas.
I really wish we got to see more of these guys. Especially Hachi, Love, and Shinji. One of the best showings for what PURE Kido can do in the entire series is Hachi using his barrier spells to defeat Barragan. And some of the things he can theoretically do with that are... Terrifying. Kinda makes me wish we got to see more out of Tessai too.

Even though it was only for 3 page, i love rose's banks. Wish it was expanded on. It's the simplest of the 3 illusion sword but more realistic than shingi and aizan.
Wait a min. You said something I was not aware of. Can the Vizards use Resurrection? If so that is something I was not aware of. It would be very interesting to see what each Resurrection looks like for each Vizard not to mention it brings up the question as to why didn't they use their Resurrections during the TYBW when it could have saved their lives. I need to read up more on this.

Hey MrTommo, what are your thoughts on how events would have happened if the Quincy Blood War happened before Aizens defection? Would he have taken the opportunity to defect during the commotion and start a three sided battle, or would he have sided with the shinigami until the right time to defect? Interesting thought experiment!
I always assumed Aizen knew about ywachs impending return and was setting ichigo up as a counter. That’s just my head cannon tho
I think it's important to point out that when Aizen, Gin and Tousen defected, they didn't immediately fill those captain spots. I think the Captain Commander still went through the proper protocol for choosing captains, why we can assume that Isane, Lisa and Rukia are strong enough to be captains

Really loved Tosen and his new powers. His blank hollow mask was cool and quite creepy when he opens his mouth later on. His resurrection is amazing but the one thing that always bugged me was his human mouth just hanging out of monster head. It looks so weird and out of place lol.
I hope kubo see’s this and gives them some fights when they animate tybw
I loved hiyori's design and her banter with other characters like ichigo and uehara. It sucks that she ended up being so useless overall.

I never considered Tousen in my listing of Vizards, but after seeing your points, I agree! And seeing since Tousen is blind, he wouldn't be affected by Shinji's Sakanade, I guess, unless he's in Ressurection, but in Ressurection he could just do a Bambietta and blow everything up with Ceros and Los Nuebe Aspectos, so yeah, I have to agree with you! And after seeing your points for Kensei, I've gotta admit I always put him too high on my lists, the guy really didn't show much, and I agree with the Love and Rose stuff, I honestly think Love might be more powerfull, in regards of strenght, but Rose definetly has more versatility and the upper hand on fights. Pretty solid list, have to agree with everything! I would love to see you Rank the Espadas, althoug honestly I think Starrk and Barragan would still be the number two and Ulquiorra would be number 3, and then maybe we could put Nel, then Halibel, then Grimmjow and the rest, but I still think Starrk and Barragan would be 1st and 2nd respectively, but I still wanna see this list cause I wanna see if you think diferently and why, or what's your points if you agree

Tousen: Loses to a vicecaptain, beats up one of the weakest captains in gotei. Is ranked nr 1.
Hachigen: Can easily restrain hollowfied ichigo and hollowfied captains, can rival orihime in his powers to turn back time itself, can use 90's level kido without incantation, beats Barragan, one of the most powerful characters in the series. Is ranked 3rd.

I always thought Kensei and Wonderweiss got caught up in one of the massive pillars of fire that Yamamoto released. Which took down Kensei but since Wonderweiss was specifically created to negate Yamamotos zanpakuto i think it triggered Wonderweiss to release his ability and take on Yamamoto. Wonderweiss also appears from within one of those fire pillars to fight Yamamoto so i dont think this is a far fetched theory.
Now you could say that was to demonstrate his "immunity" to the fires of Ryujin Jakka but i dont think so because the very next scene is doing just that. Yamamoto swings his sword at Wonderweiss who catches the blade and puts out the fire coming from the blade and Yamamoto then has an inner dialogue wondering why that happened.
Love the list and I agree with it for the most of it but aren't we forgetting the time when Aizen turned into a butterfly?
