You can tell that Kenpachi wasn’t lying about his fight with Yammy because he thanked Nnoitra for a great fight after they fought their death battle, similar to when he fought Ichigo . With Yammy, he just says that it was a boring fight. If the fight-loving captain says that the fight against the strongest espada was boring, then you know it sucked.

If I’m not mistaken, I believe that the second time that Yammy arrived at the world of the living he clashed against Toshiro. During that brief clash, Toshiro introduced him self saying “Toshiro Hitsugaya, Captain of the 10th squad” and Yammy replied, “10th? What a coincidence, I’m a 10th, too. Yammy Llargo, Décima espada”

However that arc was seriously dragging at that point, this man Kubo had just spent a year (!) in real time on dumb Fraccion fights in FKT. Literally over 50 chapters. I remember everybody complaining about that shite. So I think he got the hurry up from his editor. It doesn't make sense otherwise especially since he didn't have Yammy defeated in his regular form. He gave him a new form on a big cliffhanger and then off screened it?
The "blacc moon" behind Yammy in that CFYOW image is actually the Hogyoku. It just became that large because he is that large. Its more of a concept character for BBS. Though created with Kubo's supervision, it isn't actually his "CFYOW" version. Because.....well i dont want to spoil the novel lol
I always view it as ulquiorra and yammy being aizen's "trump cards" in the espada, and their releases being semi secret. Which could explain why they were paired off together
His aspect of death is the equivalent of you being stuck in heavy traffic. His second release looks like a dinosaur dragon or something. I think that round thing is the hogyoku, why it looks super big I don’t know.

There's a bunch of fan art out there where his reiatsu armor coversway more of his body than just his arms and I never understood why Kubo never did this with Chad's character during the Fullbring or TYBW Arcs instead Chad just got left in the dust to be another side character "rooting" for Ichigo.
I will forever wish that Rudbornn Chelute would have been the 0 "The executioner that had to be able to kill any all hollows that Aizen sentenced to death".
Well Rudbornn returns in CFYOW and he's able to hold off several sternritter by himself so the dude is definitely Espada level now.....wow now I kinda wanna see 2nd releases for the areancar like Rudbornn, Wonderweiss, hell even Loly and Menoly (never even saw her first release).
I love how Mayuri and Nemu were just casually watching everyone else (Byakuya and Kenpachi notably) fight Yammy, and Mayuri was getting really annoyed at how big Yammy was getting, since he wouldn't be able to properly dissect his corpse.

I like to think due to how massive Yammy became, he was defeated by having his arm cut off and losing his balance. And that made him falling backwards, hitting his head on that stone-like structure that's right beside his head in the last panel/scene with him. Thus, resulting in an anticlimactic resolution to his fight.

Yammy was basically the punching bag of almost everyone which is hilarious. I did like however his dynamic with Ulquiorra, you could almost feel a genuine "friendship" between both whenever they were onscreen together.
Ya know, Yammy could've had a really cool fight with his powers in an odds against the wall, zero to legend last stand to impede the characters from going to the world of the living. Only problem with that is that Yam is a shallow asshole who would not do something that selfless nor do i think anyone cared about his character enough to see him do something like that.

Zommari is kinda cool, the eye thing is neat, the way he initiates his ressureccion is weird in a cool way, and the speed clone thing is a cool ability, He's not my favorite but I could see why he would be somebody's. Same goes for Yammy, his ressureccion looks cool and the initiation of it is cool. Pepe though, I don't see it, his Volstandig is hard to look at and his ability is fine I guess, but still, that volstandig
14:37- it’s really sad that even the most humane of the current Espada didn’t think much of Yammy and to be far- the captain that Zaraki killed to become the new Kenpachi wasn’t well liked either. Maybe Yammy’s his Hollow and he didn’t take his easy death too well.
I always interpreted that the 10 represented his power in his base form compared to the others but his transformation to 0 represented that TECHNICALLY in his final form his power has no ceiling so it COULD reach higher than the number 1 person. Provided he can actually reach high enough for it to matter. As in the only thing that gave him the luxury of being an espada was his release form's power ceiling thanks to his unique rage-based power scaling.
One thing i dont get is why ulquiorra had to transform outside las noches. But yammi who is supposed to be stronger transformed inside it. Also love your videos tekking
Yup this also annoyed me I never understood it and when Ulquiorra did his 2nd Ressurecion I though Stark or someone else would have one in Fake Karakura town since it's not in Hueco Mundo. I also think when he went to the 0 Espada he needed a calm rage or calm anger transformation that compressed all his spiritual energy like Ichigo's 1st Bankai transformation into a speed form for him to use insane Balas and Ceros when Byakuya and Kenpachi pushed his anger to the limit to redeem him.
He didn't _have_ to, it's just a rule, and Ulquiorra wanted to follow Aizen's rules. Yammy, and others, didn't really care as much about that. Compare him to Grimjow who was tossing around Gran Rey Ceros even though they were explicitly told not to, and was distorting space as a result. Ulqiorra only chose to leave Las Noches because of Aizen's rule about not damaging it.
@@Michaeljefferson9000 But Ulquiorra emphasized that the _mere releasing_ if their zanpakuto inside Las Noches would destroy the place. Here you have Yammy clearly going against that piece of information not too long after Ulquiorra's fight with Ichigo. We know that Espada numbers 1 through 4 _can_ literally release their zanpakuto in Las Noches, but are prohibited by rule due to the consequences. But that consequence just seems to be forgotten it never cones to fruition when Yammy releases his. Grimmjow's Grand Rey Cero still had a consequential effect in the area of his fight with Ichigo that could be felt by Harribel and her fraccion.
Yammy would be the strongest cause he propably doesnt have max power like when others just gets power up with resurection that stays at certain lvl. Yammy can propably evolve endlesly similar to Super Star or Gerald( but without hax healing power ).
Its the same arm that was lopped off twice also in his CFYOW form the sphere behind him is the Hogyoku each CFYOW has it Grimmjow, Tier, Starrk, Zommari: hole Nel: armpit Etc

I would very much appreciate a video series on the prevron espada, maybe not one for each of them because without you reading CFYOW I don't know how much information we would have on them so kind of similar to how you did the visor video , but I love to hear about Moth queen again.

Brah, ichigo brushed him off yeah, but he also did shit damage to him with his Hollowfied getsuga tenshu. Like, barely a minor cut. Kenpachi even admitted how annoyingly durable he was. Byakuyah? Had to release his shikai at very least and kenpachi had his patch off too.

Yanny's dog is similar to an "escuincle" a dog that would follow Mayens around behind them, often eating theiscraps. Think the dogs from the disney movie "COCO". I say this because Yammy seems Mayen in nature since a lot of the arrancar seem to be based on spanish speaking areas.
What I always thought was that Yammy being 10 meant he was the weakest espada, then when he released his zanpakuto and changed to the 0 espada it meant he was the physically strongest but not the over all “strongest” from the point of Aizen, as in brute strength isn’t everything but it’s still a heck of a lot”
Whether its overall power or physical power, its clear that Yammys too much of a dumbass to fully utilize his potential. With a body that large, he can easily move around and destroy Las Noches. Or terrorize Hueco Mundo. He's just a musclehead tho who doesnt have a battleplan other than "Smash! Smash! Smash!" He's fuckin disappointing
I didn't really care for yami and when the number 0 reveal happened and he said "I'm the strongest espada" I was just like get outta here with that nonsense strongest my ass. He then got off-screened.

Then Kubo decides to kill him off in the SBS novel stuff saying he dies in the desert after the 2v1 fight instead of bringing him back to help Hallibel defend Hueco Mundo from the Quincys in the TYBW Arc with a new Ressurecion It's literally depressing how this character was treated/wasted after a pretty sweet introduction
Brandon Lambert He was created to be fodder. Every series needs a guy like that. Although I do wish we could have gotten a bit more out of Kenpachi/Byakuya vs Yammy.

I believe that Yammy's rank is actually the No. 10 (I never believed that he had significantly more Reiatsu than any of the other high-ranking Espada and he was also just kind of a mindless brute who wouldn't have been able to keep up with such opponents anyways, he only thing he seems to really have going for him from my point of view is actual physical strength and mass), but to make him feel better about himself and to prevent him from trying to go after all the other Espada to prove himself and probably level a good part of the palace in the process Aizen just invented the No. 0 position for him as a meaningless title. Also this theory supports the idea that Stark just forgot about Yammy in his death monologue and that's just great.

The whole huge boss metaphor, the "and you hit it over and over and over and over" gave me Adamantoise from Final Fantasy XV flashbacks, like full on PTSD
Personally, I didn’t mind the twist at all. I thought it was pretty cool that he was the “strongest espada. “ The only problem I have is changing his number from 10 to 0., Because that’s proof that the writer was just reconning. Think about it, he never released his own path so, so if they would’ve just kept him his number 10 and said, yeah his ability allows him to keep increasing his strength and eventually his spirit pressure stronger than everybody else....That would’ve worked out perfectly fine. And then he will have no evidence about him just simply reconning the last possible second.
26:35- if Yammy came back- that’s the only way for him to for himself to stay in the game for the sequel series. There’s only so much interest in becoming more monstrous and massive before it becomes dull. The only way for Yammy to show a dramatic change is for him to become humanoid and smaller- a contained flame full of tranquil anger.

It may seem stupid but seeing how high Aizen regarded the amount of Reihatsu someone has and how "high enough" Reihatsu simply dispel special powers... It fits he gave the hightest position to a being able to stock Reihatsu without apparently limits
4:27 - I don't know why everyone craps all over the Bount arc. I loved the Bount arc, it's my favorite filler arc. The Bounts have some really cool powers, and the fights are a lot of fun.

You aren't alone friend; the Bounts were an interesting concept and in many ways a very tragic race/clan, as well as reinforcing one of the main theme of the TYBW arc about a life without death(Yhwach end goal) and stagnation. my opinion atleast. this filler could have been done better by the way tho.
You know what should have happened with Yammy? He's basically treated as a Hulk type character, gets stronger as he fights in his resurrection form. So what they could have done instead of instantly pushing him from 10 to 0 is having him go 10 to 9 to 8 and so on. Suddenly they realize he's getting stronger and somebody points out that his number is different. Then Yammy laughs and does what all villains do and explains why this is happening, that his power grows as he fights and as such, while in base he is the weakest Espada, he has the potential to be far stronger than any of them, and so the battle hits a climax later on with Yammy going past 1 and into 0 and that's when shit really hits the fan. I think a progression like that would have been way more interesting than him just going to zero instantly. It would have been interesting if when he finally jumped to 0 he had this presence about him that seemed otherworldly strong. Like a passive Reiatsu Crush so strong it literally crumbles the structures around him and slightly warps gravity. At this point he could be so angry that it could portray itself as an ice cold anger, and instead of being EVEN LARGER STILL he could shrink down into a compressed power form. I think big enemies lead to boring fights. It works in video games because you can hack at their ankle for minutes and bring them down, but it wouldn't be fun to watch in a show. So you have to have characters fly and throw pot shots at the enemy while they throw slow but strong punches and shit, and it's just not that interesting compared to having two people of similar size have to maneuver around one another. It always becomes this thing where big enemy tanks everything and tries to hit the faster good guys, while they just try to avoid the big guys attacks and tick away at his health. You can animate it to look really cool, sure, but it just never seems like an interesting fight in my opinion. (Granted, some BIG enemies can make smaller forms of themselves so you can still have a more complex fight WHILE still doing the BIG BIG enemy thing).
When it comes to anime characters, there are some that are thicc. There are even some that are dummy thicc. However, there is only one that is Yammy thicc, and this guy is that one lol.
I think people forget yammy has trouble or flat out can't use pesquisa which allows them to gauge how strong someone is. Only reason Ichigo was able to cut him was due to this
Another thing to consider is that Yammy had his rank 0 with within the established power rankings amongst the Espada. None of the other Espada or theoretically Aizen knew about Ulquiorra's Segunda Etapa, so for all we know if that information was readily available to the Arrancar, Ulquiorra would have had a higher rank. Man literally had spammable Lanza Del Relampago's and was dumb strong in his second release.
That would have been a huge mistake since he did little to no damage to Kenpachi and Byakuya. It would have basically have been the same fight as his previous form.

Ya know, Yammy could've had a really cool fight with his powers in an odds against the wall, zero to legend last stand to impede the characters from going to the world of the living. Only problem with that is that Yam is a shallow asshole who would not do something that selfless nor do i think anyone cared about his character enough to see him do something like that.

Same goes for Yammy, his ressureccion looks cool and the initiation of it is cool. Pepe though, I don't see it, his Volstandig is hard to look at and his ability is fine I guess, but still, that volstandig

14:37- it’s really sad that even the most humane of the current Espada didn’t think much of Yammy and to be far- the captain that Zaraki killed to become the new Kenpachi wasn’t well liked either. Maybe Yammy’s his Hollow and he didn’t take his easy death too well.

I always interpreted that the 10 represented his power in his base form compared to the others but his transformation to 0 represented that TECHNICALLY in his final form his power has no ceiling so it COULD reach higher than the number 1 person. Provided he can actually reach high enough for it to matter. As in the only thing that gave him the luxury of being an espada was his release form's power ceiling thanks to his unique rage-based power scaling.

Yup this also annoyed me I never understood it and when Ulquiorra did his 2nd Ressurecion I though Stark or someone else would have one in Fake Karakura town since it's not in Hueco Mundo.
I also think when he went to the 0 Espada he needed a calm rage or calm anger transformation that compressed all his spiritual energy like Ichigo's 1st Bankai transformation into a speed form for him to use insane Balas and Ceros when Byakuya and Kenpachi pushed his anger to the limit to redeem him.
He didn't _have_ to, it's just a rule, and Ulquiorra wanted to follow Aizen's rules. Yammy, and others, didn't really care as much about that. Compare him to Grimjow who was tossing around Gran Rey Ceros even though they were explicitly told not to, and was distorting space as a result. Ulqiorra only chose to leave Las Noches because of Aizen's rule about not damaging it.

Here you have Yammy clearly going against that piece of information not too long after Ulquiorra's fight with Ichigo. We know that Espada numbers 1 through 4 _can_ literally release their zanpakuto in Las Noches, but are prohibited by rule due to the consequences. But that consequence just seems to be forgotten it never cones to fruition when Yammy releases his. Grimmjow's Grand Rey Cero still had a consequential effect in the area of his fight with Ichigo that could be felt by Harribel and her fraccion.
Yammy would be the strongest cause he propably doesnt have max power like when others just gets power up with resurection that stays at certain lvl. Yammy can propably evolve endlesly similar to Super Star or Gerald( but without hax healing power ).

"The strongest" but couldn't destroy heuco mundo with his ultimate release cero or form. And both of the captains barely beat the espada in the earlier episodes. Exhausted and soul pressure depleted ichigo brushed released Yammy off.
I believe the idea is that he's considered the strongest because he has unlimited potential.
He also did not have specific attack unlike other espada. He only used weak ceros not even cero osurus.
Brah, ichigo brushed him off yeah, but he also did shit damage to him with his Hollowfied getsuga tenshu. Like, barely a minor cut. Kenpachi even admitted how annoyingly durable he was. Byakuyah? Had to release his shikai at very least and kenpachi had his patch off too.

Yanny's dog is similar to an "escuincle" a dog that would follow Mayens around behind them, often eating theiscraps. Think the dogs from the disney movie "COCO". I say this because Yammy seems Mayen in nature since a lot of the arrancar seem to be based on spanish speaking areas.
He's all talk. He talks big about how he is the strongest and then Kenpachi is kicking his ass without even taking his eyepatch off.
What I always thought was that Yammy being 10 meant he was the weakest espada, then when he released his zanpakuto and changed to the 0 espada it meant he was the physically strongest but not the over all “strongest” from the point of Aizen, as in brute strength isn’t everything but it’s still a heck of a lot”

Instead we got a "Chad" beefy knucklehead most of the series then a huge uncoordinated slow piece of garbage that got off-screen destroyed by Byakuya and Kenpachi (both anime and manga) without much effort even though he was technically the highest ranked Espada. I literally feel so bad for Yammy's character it isn't even funny.
Then Kubo decides to kill him off in the SBS novel stuff saying he dies in the desert after the 2v1 fight instead of bringing him back to help Hallibel defend Hueco Mundo from the Quincys in the TYBW Arc with a new Ressurecion
It's literally depressing how this character was treated/wasted after a pretty sweet introduction
Brandon Lambert He was created to be fodder. Every series needs a guy like that. Although I do wish we could have gotten a bit more out of Kenpachi/Byakuya vs Yammy.

I believe that Yammy's rank is actually the No. 10 (I never believed that he had significantly more Reiatsu than any of the other high-ranking Espada and he was also just kind of a mindless brute who wouldn't have been able to keep up with such opponents anyways, he only thing he seems to really have going for him from my point of view is actual physical strength and mass), but to make him feel better about himself and to prevent him from trying to go after all the other Espada to prove himself and probably level a good part of the palace in the process Aizen just invented the No. 0 position for him as a meaningless title.
Also this theory supports the idea that Stark just forgot about Yammy in his death monologue and that's just great.

Personally, I didn’t mind the twist at all. I thought it was pretty cool that he was the “strongest espada. “ The only problem I have is changing his number from 10 to 0., Because that’s proof that the writer was just reconning. Think about it, he never released his own path so, so if they would’ve just kept him his number 10 and said, yeah his ability allows him to keep increasing his strength and eventually his spirit pressure stronger than everybody else....That would’ve worked out perfectly fine. And then he will have no evidence about him just simply reconning the last possible second.
26:35- if Yammy came back- that’s the only way for him to for himself to stay in the game for the sequel series. There’s only so much interest in becoming more monstrous and massive before it becomes dull. The only way for Yammy to show a dramatic change is for him to become humanoid and smaller- a contained flame full of tranquil anger.

4:27 - I don't know why everyone craps all over the Bount arc. I loved the Bount arc, it's my favorite filler arc. The Bounts have some really cool powers, and the fights are a lot of fun.

My favorite is the Zanpakuto arc. It makes no sense with the context of the final arc, but it's really cool seeing all the Zanpakuto spirits

You aren't alone friend; the Bounts were an interesting concept and in many ways a very tragic race/clan, as well as reinforcing one of the main theme of the TYBW arc about a life without death(Yhwach end goal) and stagnation.

You know what should have happened with Yammy?
He's basically treated as a Hulk type character, gets stronger as he fights in his resurrection form. So what they could have done instead of instantly pushing him from 10 to 0 is having him go 10 to 9 to 8 and so on. Suddenly they realize he's getting stronger and somebody points out that his number is different. Then Yammy laughs and does what all villains do and explains why this is happening, that his power grows as he fights and as such, while in base he is the weakest Espada, he has the potential to be far stronger than any of them, and so the battle hits a climax later on with Yammy going past 1 and into 0 and that's when shit really hits the fan.
I think a progression like that would have been way more interesting than him just going to zero instantly.
It would have been interesting if when he finally jumped to 0 he had this presence about him that seemed otherworldly strong. Like a passive Reiatsu Crush so strong it literally crumbles the structures around him and slightly warps gravity. At this point he could be so angry that it could portray itself as an ice cold anger, and instead of being EVEN LARGER STILL he could shrink down into a compressed power form. I think big enemies lead to boring fights. It works in video games because you can hack at their ankle for minutes and bring them down, but it wouldn't be fun to watch in a show. So you have to have characters fly and throw pot shots at the enemy while they throw slow but strong punches and shit, and it's just not that interesting compared to having two people of similar size have to maneuver around one another. It always becomes this thing where big enemy tanks everything and tries to hit the faster good guys, while they just try to avoid the big guys attacks and tick away at his health. You can animate it to look really cool, sure, but it just never seems like an interesting fight in my opinion.
(Granted, some BIG enemies can make smaller forms of themselves so you can still have a more complex fight WHILE still doing the BIG BIG enemy thing).
When it comes to anime characters, there are some that are thicc. There are even some that are dummy thicc. However, there is only one that is Yammy thicc, and this guy is that one lol.

I think people forget yammy has trouble or flat out can't use pesquisa which allows them to gauge how strong someone is. Only reason Ichigo was able to cut him was due to this
i hated that he was the cero espada, that went nowhere and he was so underwhelming
Another thing to consider is that Yammy had his rank 0 with within the established power rankings amongst the Espada. None of the other Espada or theoretically Aizen knew about Ulquiorra's Segunda Etapa, so for all we know if that information was readily available to the Arrancar, Ulquiorra would have had a higher rank. Man literally had spammable Lanza Del Relampago's and was dumb strong in his second release.
I think Yammy while unreleased he's at 10 but his release can be as strong as 0.
