    100% correct advice here. Don't let small scratches and swirls drive you nuts! You'll never get them ALL. And, you can create a bigger problem on an outlying area of a scratch if you obsess on it too much. I know. The same logic applies to the interior. " Clean what you can and move on."

    I used Black Ice about 11 days ago, in fact it was the reason I jumped into their entire line of products. I didn’t have the luxury of working in a garage, but I was in the shade. This stuff performed really well for me. I found it needed almost no buffing. It flashes and self levels quickly. The buff was slightly grabby, but easily buffed to perfection. I loved it! I just topped it with TLC2 and AMP a few days ago, and I really love how their product synergize! Couldn’t be happier!

    I love black ice! I just applied 3 coats to my parents suv and wow it looks so good! The hype is definitely real on black ice! In the past ive tried tlc2 didn't really like it because it wasn't slick at all and it didn't really enhance the gloss on my paint but wow black ice is the real deal and its the easiest and fastest paint sealant that i have ever used!!

    Nice video. I like that you said you don’t have to do a full paint correction every time you apply a wax or sealant or ceramic coating. So many guys on you tube are caught up in that and it transfer to me. Last year I buffed my car out several times. I am not going to do that this year or probably even next year because I don’t want to wear my clearcoat out. You’re about the only one that said that and it’s true. Your paint does not have to look like A mirror. People forget that We are applying these products to every day drivers. And absolutely it would be different if it was a Joe(car) or a car you only brought out on the weekends in the summer and stored in the winter. And as far as time how many people have the time to strip, buff and prep.
    When I am going to put a coat of ceramic coating on or layer of ceramic coating on my car. Usually the old one is worn off . So I will rather just wash the car And then apply the new ceramic coating. Or I’ll wash the car and then go over it with the prep or a rubbing alcohol and then apply the new coat of ceramic coating and I have no trouble whatsoever. You’re cat is really cute.

    I never understood all the hate against products that may fill swirls or other defects a bit and help with hiding. I think the word Glaze is typically reserved for for products that do only that, but there are waxes that are known to fill as well.
    We can't polish every year or even every other year; have to polish, protect, and maintain. At a certain point, some swirls may start to build up once its been 3-4 years since a polish - something that fills is entirely appropriate at that point.
    I guess glazes get a bad wrap from hack-detailers who use it to mis-represent their work. When used appropriately though, they are a handy tool.
    Glazes and filling aside, can't wait to get my hands on this product. TLC made a serious splash with their v2 coating and I have found some good spray sealants but nothing I've fallen in love with yet (sorry Seal & shine).
    Side note: I wonder how the new Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Acrylic Black line (man, thats a mouthful) would have worked with their polish/sealant out now for this car.

    Phil do you thing a quick polish with Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish.. be okay?? Says something about filler’s in it ...??

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah that would be great. Just do a quick IPA wipe down before the you apply the coating. Ultimate Polish doesn’t really have that much of fillers on it. When people say that some don’t really understand that ALL polishes, compounds, waxes, and sealants have “fillers” to certain degree that amp up the gloss and aid in making the finish look amazing. As long as you polish with a good pad and polisher with proper technique it will correct the paint and reduce/remove swirls and such.

    How has this held up over the months?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It did really well for about 3 months. Then I had to strip and try other products. But it worked really well. If you tip it with TLCv2 and AMP as the maintenance it’s amazing.

    Towels reusable after this application?

    • @Mogsy28uk
      @Mogsy28uk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Last Coat say: sponge applicator and microfibre towel should be discarded after all layers have been applied initially. :(

      @@GDavis49 i's still like to wash both in hot soapy water right after use and see if they can be re-used, hate wasting good applicator/cloths.

      Yeah wash them immediately and use them for other purposes. I also don’t like wasting towels.

    Is this a ceramic coat

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s. It a true ceramic coating. It’s a ceramic spray coating. It doesn’t last as long and it’s not as hydrophobic as a true coating. But it still offers great protection and water bearing.

    • @Raptors0524
      @Raptors0524 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dumb question here but why would you use this over a ceramic coating? I have a predicament on my hands. I layered my car with McGuire‘s hybrid ceramic wax and are use their detailer to top off after washes. I want to move into a direction of better protection. Would this last longer? What would you recommend? FYI I don’t have a garage to work in.
      Thank you!

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You certainly can...but make sure it doesn’t rain for 24h if you can. Here’s a tip...after an hour apply a layer of The Last Coat and then another hour a layer of AMP.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope you can apply each layer after an hour. I have talked with some fellow Detailers about it and it’s an awesome combo.

      @MirandaDetailing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just put one layer of black ice, wait an hour and apply a layer of The Last Coat, then another hour and apply AMP.

      Yes yes. I know. I know. It’s not a big deal. If it works it works. I don’t split hairs or over think it. Bead maker is great also and would work right on top of it also.
