I can honestly state, for the last 6-7 years there is not one day that has gone past when I haven’t listened to at least one of his songs. My favourite artist of all.
His vocals, his rhythm/lead playing, his songs, his band.......coolio and outstanding through and through. As classy as modern blues/soul/funk can get in my opinion.
If he was just a vocalist, or did rhythm guitar, or lead guitar, he would be an excellent performer. The way he blends rhythm & lead, with the vocals… he’s an elite talent. That he’s been so good for so long, he’s a treasure to music fans around the world.
I see that in him. A 3-in-1 kinda guy. Best of it he has crafted his own distinctive guitar sound where no pedals are used. This sound is why the Strat guitar is it for me.
