  • Now more than ever we all need to take time out of our day to relax and de-stress. That's why I asked my sister Jackelyn to teach us a yoga class today!!
    Today Jackelyn is leading a yoga for front splits class. These stretches will help ease you into your front splits over time as we increase the flexibility in your hamstrings, quadriceps, hips and legs overall.
    This Yoga for Splits routine features dynamic movements as well as static holds to get you deeper and closer into your splits. Let's get started!!

    If anyone needs this information, it took me about 3 months of daily stretching to go from no splits at all to bring able to do in on both sides. I did about 15 min of stretching before going to bed. It feels really great to be able to do it, don't give up, you can do it!

      It's definitely doable and I think 5 minutes every day does a lot more than a 1 hour session once a week. I don't remember exactly how long it took me, but just incorporating simple stretches like a forward fold in your daily routine (while you pasta is cooking for example, or a seated forward fold while watching tv) makes a big difference! Be careful not to injure yourself though. I got too excited at one point and went too far. Had to recover for 6 months before I could get into splits again.

    Woke up today at 6am naturally and had a glass of water and read a book. Then decided to do this video because of how good it felt yesterday.     I just got my full splits! I have been practicing on and off for 10 months, but I only started practicing regularly 4 months ago. It feels so awesome since I've been trying for so long! To anyone else practicing, you can do it!

    I wouldve really appreciated one of you ladies doing the modified version to help those not there yet. Really easy for beginners to push themselves past their comfort zone to match the instructor...leading to injury. Nice change of pace seeing a yoga class tho.

      Hi Amanda I have the same issue, in direct response to this I've just posted a video on my channel on how I modify the 'splits' stretch, it's so far from the splits because I'm very inflexible by nature but it only takes 5-6 minutes to get you started, I hope it can help you :)

    I love this video! You ladies are so fun. I began doing this video every day since April 27! I'm almost there...I will be 60 in a few days. I've been doing yoga since 1969, my mother was a yoga teacher, (she was a real trend setter). Love to see more videos from you!

    I've been doing this almost every day for a bit over a week and I went from two pillows assist (as recommended in Cassey's bedtime stretching video) down to ONE pillow! And after another week or so, I was down to NO pillows! I don't have a full split yet, and I've never been able to do splits, but I think this is the closest I've ever been. And this routine is a nice thing to do around lunchtime while working from home! It sets a nice relaxing tone for the rest of my day!

    This is my first time trying a work out plan! I’m a little overweight, and I’m aiming to lose 20 pounds. Midway through doing this, I felt unsure and wondered if I should give up. But I pushed through, telling myself just to finish the video first. I suddenly started to feel amazing, like there was this light inside me! I wasn’t able to split, but I did better than I thought. Thank you very much!

      Yay!! It’s all about feeling good. The weight loss will come eventually. It won’t come comfortably. The journey can be uncomfortable sometimes but that’s what makes it a journey!

      Remember that nutrition plays a bigger role in weight loss! It's necessary to be active both for weight loss and general health, but you can't out-train bad eating. So many sure you focus on your eating habits. At the end of the day, our body is an energy equation, so calories in - calories out = accumulation.

    ALMOST GOT MY RIGHT SIDE ON MY FIRST TRYYY!!!! Still a little tight on the left but hats a lot of progress(: You and jackeyln should start a yoga and flexibility channel! Focus on full range of motion. I know that many people suffer with muscle aches and pains because they don't have that mobility. Focusing on back, arm/upper back, leg, and hips would be a total life saver. I thank you guys for making a difference in our lives.

    Great Timing with this video! I was in a really big depressive slump these past couples of months, I didn't do any workouts of school work... I just woke up and saw that you uploaded so I thought "Heck it, start with stretches in bed." And now I've completed my first full video since Early Feb! It feels good! Definitely lost a lot of flexibility and general mobility/strength, but I'm excited to build it back up!

    OMG THIS WAS SO AMAZING!!! I’m a person who holds a lot of tension in their legs, and I used to not even be able to do a quad pullback without feeling like i would tear something, but I’ve been doing blogilates stretching for maybe only a little under a month, and I CAN DO A PIKE. ALL THE WAY DOWN!!! i’m cant do splits, not even close, but doing stretching with cassie every night, I feel so much more flexible, so much more free. i hold so much less tension and it gives me a really nice outlet to relieve any stress of the day. i just feel so mentally and physically relaxed. in a time like this where yoga classes are closed, and gyms and other places like that, being able to talk to and relax with blogilates everyday is amazing. you and your team are doing really amazing work💗

    I have been so long looking for a video to follow along to work on splits in a safe but challenging way! I love that warming up the legs is built into this (I warm up before anyways but I worry about cooling down too much if I had to take a break) and I love the repeated emphasis that flexibility takes time and you need to embrace where your body is right now. Thanks!

    I've been stretching on and off almost every day for almost a year now and im almost there now. It can feel demotivating in the start to not immediatly get it but if you keep going it's gonna become such a nice habit to stretch and then the split will be a great bonus :) Don't give up!

    Never been a fan of yoga but man that felt gooooood!!!! Maybe I just needed a really good teacher! That was amazing! I feel so stretched and light after an intense workout and even though I wasn’t able to do the full split I am most definitely going to keep going!!! I enjoyed this video very much!     Thank you for making this video! I had been doing this exercise consistently for 9 months, it helped me get down to full split! Now I’m doing it again - consistent practising is key to flexibility. What I love about this yoga practice is it makes my legs more flexible without feeling too painful.

    A wonderful session of mobility and flexibility.
    I really had fun with you two, but I was also able to hit the splits really well.
    Of course with one leg better than the other, but on the other hand I almost never felt pain.

    I just got my splits a couple days ago. For about a month now i've been doing 20-40 min of yoga (mainly yoga with Adrienne and sean vigue) and 10-15 min of split stretches every single night and it has really helped :)

    I've been using an app to learn the splits for about two months and was getting frustrated with only making little progress, I even started doubting if I would ever be able to do it.     following this i realized the way i was stretching for splits before wasnt really working for my body and made my legs/underneat my knees hurts a LOT. im a dancer and i also have some knees pain so i figured i need strengthening and stretching-- n thats what yoga is! you guys sound so kind and made me feel comfortable about stretching and such without expectations or pressure. this video reminded me to be kinder on ny body. thank you!

    I didn’t get to splits today but I’m proud of myself for how close I am now! A few months ago I was the least flexible person ever, no joke. I never would have thought this would be possible for me but now I know I can do it with practice!

    Hi Cassey !! First thank you for your channel it allowed me to get back to working out and I feel so much better about myself now so thank you for that !!
    However because English is not my first language I have trouble understanding you and what is going on when you do not have mics so if you could always have one it would help a great deal thanks !! I totally understand that in this particular time you may not have all of your stuff with you so it's perfectly fine. Just thought I would let you know because I might not be the one in this situation.

    This was a great video for beginners. I am so tight in my hips and never thought splits would be in my life. I am not totally doing a split but I'm farther than I thought I could ever get. Thank you!

    Finally got to do this one!!! I regret that it took so long for me to do it. It was GOOD!!! You guys make it look beautiful and elegant, though, even more so with the harmony of your outfits: so pleasant, so pretty! I'm not there yet with my splits which can be explained by the fact that I haven't worked on them for such a long time. I love the techniques Jackelyn used on that video, they are different from the ones I'm used to doing. The scooching method, the "hello-fan" toes and the last stretch were my faves - made me feel relaxed. My body's more open now. *Jackelyn MUST create a TH-cam channel with workouts and yoga practices and stretches!!!!! I desperately need that to happen haha*

    LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! Please make a workout plan calendar together! Maybe 20 minutes of pilates and 10 minutes of yoga or morning and night workout.

    This was so nice! I dimmed the lights and lit some candles and relaxed :) I think this video exemplifies what’s most important during this time: family, relaxation, and focusing on yourself and your health. A bit of a recommendation, it was a bit hard to hear the instruction, but great otherwise! ❤️
