Fujifilm X100 VI vs Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs Vivo X100 Pro Street Photography in Hong Kong

  • I took the two best smartphone cameras -- Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Vivo X100 Pro -- and the most hyped "real" camera (Fujifilm X100 VI) out to the streets of Hong Kong for a street photography test. I concede I am not skilled enough as a "real" photographer to fully take advantage of the Fujifilm X100 VI's full capabilities, but I was interested in seeing how these cameras perform mostly in point-and-shoot situations anyway. By no means is this a scientific test, just something I did for fun.

The vivo X100 pro is the best phone camera I've ever had or seen this year. This phone camera is ahead of its time.

  • @chinsengfatt

Your method of comparison between these devices is what most of us normal layman people would do. Buy it, take it to the streets and test it just like you did. You put it out in real world situation without predetermined condition.

I'm surprised at how close the color reproduction of the Xiaomi is to the Fujifilm.

Every time I watch a camera comparison video of Vivo X100 Pro, I feel glad and thankful to you Ben.

  • @johnskisan

Great job! This was the test I’ve been waiting for.

  • @BarryJohnson

Ben great point about smartphones like the ones in the video nailing focus. Thanks for the video.

  • @rasheedlandi2151

The HDR on the Vivo is crazy mehn 😮

  • @TheBobmurray

Another excellent, informative video. Thanks Ben.

Just imagine how stunning the VivoX100pro+ is going to be. The Mi14ultra is also a great camera, it just needs some good updates.

  • @invetor7607

ben, this comparison video was insane!

  • @alexanderdecz3106

Damn this is your top video of street photography.. love it

  • @herrfuchs4712

Thanks for the nice video and your kind way to show, explain and compare the tech facts. I was suprised about the good performance of the vivo in hard situations. a few years ago nobody had expected that smartphones come that close to real cameras.

  • @cocaburra

The pics in the Xioami and the Fujifilm look similar and have the camera look but the HDR of the Vivo resembles more of the human eye during the day. Our eyes have a high dynamic range

  • @lore3334

I am an amateur photographer and if you fully understand your gear with the fuji you can have way more dynamic range than any phone (you can shot on raw for un to 7 stops of dynamic range or use dr400 or hdr800 for point and shot high dynamic range). Also the big probable with smartphones after the bad lens quality is that they tend to shot at really low shutter speed like 1/10 or sometimes even seconds. It is fine if you have still subject since smartphones have way better stabilisation than any cameras (due to small sensor) but usually nothing is really still, for example three do slightly move or sometimes there are micromovements. In fact if you look closely you will notice that most of the time (especially in low light) the photo isnt sharp enough. A bright low light image of the vivo gets absolutely demolished if you just turn up the shadows on the fuji, but i understand that for the normal user a phone is an easieral and faster experience but it is not quite as fun as the experience you get with a fuji

  • @akirasouma7561

I am a photographer who use fuji and have a lot of lenses and even I still use a smartphone for travelling around. It's just very convenient like that. Camera is mainly for work, if I just want a snapshot modern phones these day do the job. Afterall it's not about the tool, it's about the people who behind it anyway. So, Ben you don't need to feel pressure to disclaim you are not a photographer, we all know you have a good eye to take great photo and that make you a photographer to some :)

  • @raceface397

VIVO X100pro Is killing not just DSLR but Others SmartPhones as well! in field of photography! Zeiss&Vivo V3 Chip is really Amazing! Best Camera phone by far....👏📸

  • @TedThomasTT

I really wanted to see this comparison, realistically you were the only person to do it haha. Your finding confirmed a lot of my suspicions, there is definitely a fashion accessory thing going on with the fujis. 🍻

  • @alfekim11

Ben proved to viewers that Xiaomi's lecia camera algorithm isn't bad. It just tries to mimick the look of digital cameras which I like so much. Thanks for making such video.
