Hey Jermaine, noticed you mentioned Vivo being Summer and Xiaomi being autumn in general vibes, but what if you switch to Leica Vibrant? Would it match or surpass the punchiness of the vivo, or even overdo it then? Wondering if Xiaomi's other mode brings some useful versatility, or is it generally just over exaggerating the contrast/colours..?
Having watched a lot of camera comparison videos. What ive noticed is that it varies. Sometimes its more, sometimes it's less. One thing ive observed is that in the Leica Vibrant mode, the reds can sometimes be a blinding red. You wont see any details and just get smacked with a bright red colour.
The Leica Natural mode bumps up the contrast but it makes object photography more stunning. Its a con during landscape photography. Especially when there are a lot of trees in frame
good day, and in what mode is xiaomi shooting? vibrant or authentic. Now I am in a state of choosing a phone and my soul lies with xiaomi, but I like many moments of photos in vivo, as well as honor magic 6 pro. I can't decide what is better to take for a photo, mostly portraits
in the video ^^ Authenthic :D and Portraits, Xiaomi has a good natural depth, but cannot use the 35mm basically because exposure is a real struggle. Vivo is trust worthy, but turn of natural because it smoothens out the skin (which makes no sense)
@@ThroughJermainesLensBruh, go into settings, scroll down and find the setting for removing moles. Turn it off you should be good, learnt that from my Vivo X100 Ultra
I've seen a lot of flagship phone tests and in my opinion, in terms of portrait-only photos, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra takes the best, most natural photos. Regards.
I can't decide which one, i want a phone that can take crispy image even when it is zoomed in and it can also take a very good picture at night. help me
To b an owner of either of these two phones,, camera which captures more realistic skin tones and details is prefered... most of photos taken by phone camera owners are human subjects not the artifficially created objects or nature. This important part is missing in this camera comparision. I hope U can come out with another video esp for comparing the human subject. Else very good camera comparision.
Again it comes down to the user. A regular mobile phone user would use it to take pictures of people, families, etc. But if you're more interested in photography or like to take clicks of anything eye-catching, then the slightly-off skin tones and details are forgivable. Since you can improve it in post
mmmm honestly I am not to stuffed up about software, if it works it works for me xD I think both work fine. Though on the x100 Ultra some bluetooth things do not connect, 1 bluetooth headset won't connect with it. And someone else had a oneplus watch and that didn't connect either.
HyperOS is new. HyperOS 2.0 will be out soon. It'll correct a lot of the current bugs, bring in new things. Make changes. People are too quick with criticism. They should know that (with all technology and related stuff) at first it wont be good. But as time goes on, the problems arise and are then dealt with. No one knows all the problems before release and no one knows how to fix any upcoming problems until and unless it arises and they have a look into it
Hi jermaine, would it be possible to take some photos in authentic and vibrant mode indoors and at night and compare them as if you were comparing 2 phones. I would like your enlightened opinion as a photographer on these modes in these conditions. Greetings
I shall try in the future, right now I am very much grinding for a lot of different phones, if it's a bit calmer I will try to put that in. Though I will say where with the 13 pro it was noticeable, with the 14 Ultra it is far less noticeable hahaha.
I find it a bit weird that you judge the Vivo based on how accurately it portrays the colors compared to the Xiaomi, yet you do not use the realistic "ZEISS Natural" mode. That mode is well calibrated is very lifelike. Goede review verder wel. Kan niet wachten op de X200 Pro, die ga ik meteen halen om mijn Z Flip 6 te vervangen haha

But then, for me, this video is unfortunately a mix of photography and video review fragments, where I find it very difficult to focus on or follow parts of your video that are interesting for me. The black-and-white impressions that are repeatedly and felt abruptly faded in are rather confusing as a very specific topic for a smartphone review and unnecessarily interrupt the video several times due to the space they take up. I think you'd find it interesting.
What I'm having on my Xiaomi is a good quality 67mm Multi coated UV filter. And you'll be surprised by the photos in outdoor daylight shots !
@@zizimai7568 oh there are so many cool filters you can use!!!
@@zizimai7568 I think I have a ghost style one, this give more of a bloom effect to everything ^^ just... need to find it again xD My mind can be a mess so where I place stuff as well. And of course I have a variable ND filter
Great Video!! 🙌
Thank you 🙌
Always nice to see rhe video keep up the good work
Thank you brother ^^
@@Moon-17128 Thanks for the input! I guess the computation/software aspect may not be well refined enough 🤔
@@khaiz89 I wouldn't say well refined is the best term to use here. Its more like they dont put as much effort into the software processing
what the minimal distance u need to focus on a subject whith the ultra wide camera??? on both of those thank for ur help
and where do u have buy your vivo?
i live in London, using vivo from 3 years with superb phhotography .addicted to your videos
thanks
Glad to hear! And thank you!!
Man the Vivo's pics look awesome! Which camera modes and settings were you using most of the time?
Most of the time it's textured mode :) for the other shots I have used western movie, black and white and vintage
@@ThroughJermainesLens Awesome, thanks man. Proud owner and still learning the different modes and settings 👍🏼🙏🏼🙂
Yeah almost every photo ( maybe only not macro ) looks much better on Vivo than Xiaomi.
@@Ray_Harris nice one! And yes play around with it 😁😁
good day, and in what mode is xiaomi shooting? vibrant or authentic.
Oppo Find X7 Ultra
@@ThroughJermainesLensBruh, go into settings, scroll down and find the setting for removing moles. Turn it off you should be good, learnt that from my Vivo X100 Ultra
The 1" sensor on the Xiaomi allows you to have a natural depth of field without having to risk using the portrait mode.
I've seen a lot of flagship phone tests and in my opinion, in terms of portrait-only photos, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra takes the best, most natural photos. Regards.
I can't decide which one, i want a phone that can take crispy image even when it is zoomed in and it can also take a very good picture at night. help me
honestly seems like you like a bit of the sharper shots, I would then go for Vivo, as well as low light it will do better with highlights :)
You're right with saying the pixel is just too limited, i love this phones, wish i had one😂
hahaha jep, not a fan of being so limited.
Is there any setting to reduce sharpening and saturation in vivo? Also contrast is to much.
Human subjects isn't easy, because you have to ask strangers to take a picture or hire a model, which cost some money xD
Again it comes down to the user. A regular mobile phone user would use it to take pictures of people, families, etc. But if you're more interested in photography or like to take clicks of anything eye-catching, then the slightly-off skin tones and details are forgivable. Since you can improve it in post
But from the software wise, what would you prefer between hyperOS and originOS? 😁
mmmm honestly I am not to stuffed up about software, if it works it works for me xD I think both work fine. Though on the x100 Ultra some bluetooth things do not connect, 1 bluetooth headset won't connect with it. And someone else had a oneplus watch and that didn't connect either.
i had no problem with Bluetooth in my vivo x100 ultra its perfect @@ThroughJermainesLens
No one knows all the problems before release and no one knows how to fix any upcoming problems until and unless it arises and they have a look into it
I'm a sucker for the portra 800 colors and that vivo having warmer tones almost have this rendition. I so love the colors on vivo.
Despite the camera, which has better processing?
And compared to honor magic 6 Pro Max?
right now not on the list sadly
I find it a bit weird that you judge the Vivo based on how accurately it portrays the colors compared to the Xiaomi, yet you do not use the realistic "ZEISS Natural" mode. That mode is well calibrated is very lifelike.
Goede review verder wel. Kan niet wachten op de X200 Pro, die ga ik meteen halen om mijn Z Flip 6 te vervangen haha
Thanks man.. Long awaited video.. 😊
Hope you enjoyed it! :D
@@ThroughJermainesLens yeah.. well detailed comparison compare to others.. 👏 👏...
@@crazy_pradeep i try 😁
For me, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra just gives better CAMERA vibes. That's not to say Vivo X100 Ultra has bad cameras, on the contrary, it has amazing cameras. The distinction for me, the Vivo X100 Ultra still shoots like a smartphone while the Xiaomi 14 Ultra shoots like a camera. And for that reason alone, it's why I decided to keep the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and send back the Vivo X100 Ultra.
@@Gabilleta fully fair! That is why I always say preference is such a thing, because you will see people commenting their commitment to the vivo as well^^ enjoy the Xiaomi btw 😁
@@ThroughJermainesLens I enjoyed both. Both are amazing phones with amazing cameras. For me personally, I prefer a more camera like experience, and unfortunately, the Vivo did not give me that, the Xiaomi did. Plus, the camera kit from the Xiaomi felt more polished than the one from Vivo.
how did u add those effect on lieca sepea to make it look like old photo?
In the camera interface you select the filters option and can scroll through a bunch
@@Moon-17128 ik that but he made further edit whicch idk
I wish I lived in Europe or China. So many great locales to film.
I think xiaomi wih leica lens goes more for vintage look and that is why it might be percieved as slightly colder, less contrast and desaturated but at the same time it feels somehow more "artistic"
12:23 well-encapsulated how I feel with mobile photography in general. Xiaomi 13 (w/ Leica) is what made me fall in love photography.

Through Jermaine's Lens Can u share which Phone Build version is installed and the Build number of the Camera App?

I am currently using the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and I really love its camera experience.
It is a great one! They only need to work on improving battery life hahaha
Ive had both a few months now. Using both, Xiaomi more shots... I mainly shoot leica vibrant with Xiaomi - better, somewhow more detail too than authentic (?). Vivo better with portraits (awesome) and tele low light. closing main aparture a bit on xiaomi (f4 in good light) bumps up natural level of detail.
For me this is a really hard choice because I love the sort of deep shadows of the Xiaomi but I shoot portraits so much, idk maybe i should just go for the vivo and just use the vintage mode at this point
Which phone captures spring and winter better?
I would say Xiaomi
@@ThroughJermainesLens Wow. I would have never guessed. I always thought Vivo was the more versatile phone. If Xiaomi captures the feel of things better, it might just be the better all rounder
Vivo is more versatile, but the nature of the Xiaomi lends more torwards the colder months where the vivo more torwards the warmer months :)
@@ThroughJermainesLens it is good to have someone compare phone cameras not just on technical merit, but also the feel of the photos that come out of the phone and also how easy it is to use to phone to capture scenes. Most people are too hung up on pixel peeping and sharpening that the mood and colours and aesthetic resilts are overlooked
I don't think there is any mobile camera that can take down Vivo X100 Ultra on Night photography yet.
honor and huawei will win
@@eldi03rinthis must be a Joke. Huawei is Not good.
@@eldi03rin Nah not with their watercolor and overly contrasty processing. lol
Vivo always seems to be brightening everything up. Shadows and darkeness as important as light, it's' about what you see and what you dont see!
The vivo is doing what most phones are doing brightening everything & darken bright light source and is claimed to be more dynamic but to me is utter fake..
@@zizimai7568 yes too much processing, specially at night
Will Vivo release the ultra global version?
12:46 I felt here based on your other camera you were recording with. Vivo captured the accurate hue and then boosted saturation. But Xiaomi captured wrong hue.
Saturation or exposure or contrast can be easily toned down in post, you needn't have to be at the spot. But for hue you need to physically be there to watch and match the hue. Its pretty painful how often my Xiaomi gets the hue wrong
13:19 Vivo did better. Because of inferior hdr on Xiaomi and inferior hue accuracy. Vivo got the hue and hdr bang on in this case. But Vivo needs to tone down the sharpening
can you do a camera comparison between small phone ? ie; sub 6 inch phone because many of us want a good camera phone but do not want a huge phone. thanks and i enjoyed all your camera content.

do you have gcam apk for mi 11 ultra? i can't find any..
@@satt6992 many of the developers are specifying the Gcam apk for what Android version the phone is running, so if you can't find an specific one for the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, try to install a version that is suited for the android version on the phone 🙂
Great comparison and 2 great camera phones.

Can you put xiaomi's before and after update comparison...
that's really hard because you need to kinda have that at the same time, you can do it if you have it downloaded and then shortly at a location, but that's basically it.
I have the Mi 14 ultra and i love it ❤
Xiaomi much better overall 😊
I think you're particularly taking the approach of a photographer (artist) which I personally really like.
I really like your approach as a photographer (this is mine too), but I would like to see a clearer (more transparent) structure in your videos.
yeah that is fair honestly! And it is something I am planning to work on! Appriciate the feedback!!!

You are only making it harder for yourself with getting the Find X7 Ultra as well.😅
But you can't go wrong with either of them. Most people only have the one device and can't compare it to another one, and in that case both are excellent choices.
