As someone whos been practicing for 2 years without learning proper technique this video has been insturmental in helping me get somewhere with this, thank you
Basics should rule.. if a practitioner is asking for “advanced” techniques.. he/she hasn’t “mastered” the Basics.. Advanced techniques are “basics applied”. Foundations of basics bring out the more “mature” advanced movements
Whatever u put out it's good As a practitioner U never stop learning basics Basics are bundling blocks to do any advance stuff Thanks for the review Big Thumbs up
Oh man I really like training with two swords! At first I was clumsy, but after going back , play , go slow & train, go back play again , go slow & train some more my left hand now feels it can function as good as the right. Also I’ve noted to myself that when I choose to step up to my sharp swords when I strike correctly I hear a sharp ‘whistling sound’. If my hand and arm are in the wrong position, then ; the sword makes a ‘fat woofing sound’ . It becomes an attention getting tool to cause self correction and make an adjustment to stance, grip, and motion. In answer to your question, Yes I would if forced too, take on a non firearm threat to my family or myself with two swords vice one. Thanks for the great kali training !
I absolutely love your channel, bought a couple of DVD downloads, plus just taken out a year's membership. Instruction is first class, but sometimes (for me, more often than not!), I have to slow the video right down to 25% of normal speed. When setting out to learn a new drill, there's a 'lead and lag effect'. It would only take a few pauses or a tad slower, and I would be up-to-speed. It's when you transition to a faster pace, I go to jelly. Prolonging the slower speed demo parts would be a dream come true.
If people are asking for the advanced training and ba k and forth. It's not a lose lose for you. It's just that your audience are all sorts ranging from beginner to intermediary and above all together seated in one training room and ALL have questions continuously. That's why it's seemingly back and forth.
Typically for a duel wielder, you would wants one blade to be longer and one blade to be shorter. This is so that if you come into a situation where you’re cutting across with both blades at once, you are not going to cross your blades which is going to tie up your movement. This is also going to free you from having to do such wide swings, which then leave you open to attack. If you have smaller movements or you resign one blade for blocking in the other for attacking then you were going to be able to achieve your goal of defeating your opponent while defending yourself with a lot less movement
Two weapons more fun, impresssive, but single weapon more practical.for years i carried a tactical folder(never used it),now I carry a cane(use as cane ) and train with it. Here if carrying more than one weapon you'd be on shakey ground legally.
I don't think you're obligated at all to show anybody anything past the basics. If they want to learn anything past that then they can pay for that information. You worked hard for it and deserve to be compensated.
As a martial artist. It's meant to be shared. Trust me, everything he can teach is beginner shit. No offense to him. Beginner shit is all you can teach, you can only get past beginner stuff by refining everything. You can know every movement and still be a newbie
I enjoy both single and twin. Are they knives or swords? They are 15 inches. I call them knives. I have one knife that is 17 inches long. I also have a 21 inch knife!
2=1 , 1= none. if i have 1 and you take my weapon hand i got jack n squat...if i have 2 atleast when you take the hand, i still have a second bite at the apple with my other hand. 2=1, 1=none. i am like #60
I prefer 1 bolo, or espada y daga. When it's 2 large knives / swords of equal length it begins to feel real awkward for me, and I feel like it slows me down a lot. This also translates over to 2 kali sticks, I would prefer to have one and a free hand or something of less length in my "off" hand. Like sinawali or those types of drills no prob on flowing and speed, but sparring and free movement, having 2 long items just has never worked out well for me.

I follow you, watch your videos and like what you do. But the thumbnail is showing a wrong position. You can't roll the blade around your body with the edge against your body. For obvious reasons. I real speed you are in great danger of cutting yourself.
Basics are important for beginners, but when someone start to master a martial art he discover that the basics were the real advanced stuff!
I agree
Yup. The same motions become smoother and faster. You begin to call them from memory, and eventually you don't have to think at all to use them
I agree with you, even though I may have learned this from G.O.H, whenever you are at a roadblock in martial arts always go to the basics to improve

Love hearing that! Thank you 🙏🏼👍🏼

I’ve seen these techniques used in some movies. Seeing you demonstrate gave me some flashbacks.

More double sword videos please
I love training asymmetric. Even with two weapons, I like sword and short spear, sword and knife, or knife and hawk more than two of the same weapon.
Cool I just practice thanks
I needed this for my vr. I can at least look skillful when i swing those swords :D
Double of course.... Also sword and dagger.... 💪💪💪💯💯
I'm training to be a pro wrestler and I'm going to wear duel swords needed to see this I want to put on a show in my intro

I'd probably live longer in a real battle with just one and a good shield. But two is fun to practice and looks more interesting.
Precioso
😎👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
If you can play badminton using either of your two hands, then you are ready to play double swords. But coordination is of utmost importance.
2 is the better is because is ezeyr

Shut up, I’m tryna get this stuff for free 😂

That’s too easy!

The blade is not against my body in the thumbnail.
