My daughter just purchased new pads and rotors and the guy left the plastic label on which clearly says remove plastic prior to assembly. And instead of using the new hardware that came with the new brakes, he put on the old hardware. Having to return both and get it redone.
Just as important, IMO, is making sure the pads slide easily in the clips. You may need to bend the clips and/or file the pad ears a little, again IMO. Also clean the brackets under the clips and apply a very little silicone grease to prevent rust from coming back.
Mine is making squeaking noise after changing break pads. but, not always, only sometimes. what might be the issue? do we need to worry about this? Thank You
Mine doing the same thing brand new breaks and rotors OEM specs and barley put pressure and sqeeks , it's say normal for a few days but annoying especially after spending 600.00 dollars just for front . Vw
Check the rotor backing behind the rotor it's s sheet metal plate that can get bent out of shape and rub on the back of the rotor. If so just pry it back away from the rotor.
I had air in my brake lines which would make random noises even after I park. Just bled the brakes to fix that problem. Fluid was pitch black. No more random noises 😂
my new break pads are damaging the disk like they are made of metal only. any help? I by mistake applied some grease on brake pad, and disk, because my hands were dirty. I tried to clean it up .
@@InexplicableBillbingo. Also apply a thin layer of brake grease on the backs of the inside and outside pads where the piston ( on the inside ) and the calliper on the outside pads contact the pads. No need to go crazy with the grease and on any area on the brake mechanism that has a rubber boot or seamless etc. use silicon brake grease only.
Most of the time, it’s foreign material in between the rotor and pad. Especially when creeping or going slow. It’s fcking annoying, but I’ve had to take them apart, the the surface of the pad and rotors.

The tabs on the pads have tabs on the end that make contact with the brake hardware. Grease the tabs on the pads and where it contacts the hardware. Hope this helps
Love the background music. Felt like I was changing my breaks in front of the Taj mahal ❤❤❤😊.
Lmaoo😂
😂😂😂 same
I couldn't listen to this music when I visited Tajmahal 😂😂
Also a cheap quality pad or disc can create that squeak

He didn’t put on the old hardware lol he never took it off
Probably never cleaned and relubed the pins.

Why does my 2019 gmc make squeaky noise when I’m driving off sometimes and makes a big squeaky noise when I reverse?

Nice tip! What's the best grease to use?? Thanks 😊
I wouldn’t use any cause u may get some in the pads and rotors

Do you have shim plates on both pads? That's what causes squeaks. Missing or improperly installed shims.

I did a pad slap and I get a squeal for about 5 minutes of driving then goes away. Is it because I need new rotors?
just got new pads and rotors and hear a very faint squeak.

@Androth12 that might be my problem I just bought a new car 2024 and it started squealing when I go slow so ill have to check it out
Those are not shoes. They are brake pads! The shoes go with the drum & wheel cylinder.
That was the first thing I noticed in this video, other than that not a bad video.
What's going with your brake line? Is it leaking?
From what I've read it's not just lack of grease, new brakes can become glazed.
Brake pad❌ brake shoe✅
What did you do spray with wd-40?
Tire is squeaking as it rolls after new breaks, not while breaking.

Mine are getting really hot and wobbling. Every one of them. Maybe the rotor is causing it?
if all make problem, it could be in hydraulics way. Bad liquid, air, or something worse
