My favourite country in the world. It's like God decided to gift everything to one country. Beauty, mineral wealth, fertile land, wonderful climate, fabulous coast, amazing and diverse plant, bird and animal life, stunning night sky, Viva South Africa.
I agree, the most beautiful country in the world !!!! It was in October 1980 when it last snow in the whole of South Africa. Even in Johannesburg !!!!! Never forget that!!!!!
I must say, it snow every year in the Cape province. Also Lesotho, next to SA. Sutherland is white of snow every winter and other places in the Cape.....
It's not unusual for it snow in South Africa. Maybe it doesn't snow in Ladysmith but it certainly snows every year in SA. Ask anyone who lives in or near Sutherland.
For you it's a miracle, but I've lived my whole life in Russia and I hate this snow and cold. Snowdrifts up to 1.5 meters, a high probability of getting into a car accident, the need to put on a lot of clothes and go outside as if into outer space.

All i can think of and actually only truly care about, are the animals, cattle etc 😔 hopefully people use their brains and build more barns to protect them, its not nice being cold with nowhere to keep warm/ish....pity we don't follow what those AWESOME people in Turkey do for the cat's and dogs that aren't even their own.... putting up shelters all over the show AND feeding them on a continuous basis, sasly far to many in this country dont give a damn let alone CARE and they should because they could be where they are in a FLASH!!
A thumbs up just for uploading in that cold😂 I won't get out of my warm bed for that. We have had snow in JHB twice in the last +-13 years. Though not a lot😂😂
Hi Rod! My husband is from Northern Natal - Dundee - and my dad's family lived in Ladysmith - we know the area well...I'm a Peterrmaritzburg girl and we lived in Hilton at the foot of the 'Berg so we had several snowfalls in winter - not as heavy as this - enough to cover the cars 😃 your video is great and most enjoyable - enjoy the snow while it lasts and take care ❤
Not at all - we have had snow in September several times in the last years - we had a very heavy fall in September 1981 - the snow lasted on the ground for 5days after that - I have pictures of my children building a snowman in the garden - gorgeous! Jo'burg had snow this year albeit for a morning - in June ....
Un-heard of 30+ years ago! It just goes to show how bad climate-change and the ozone layer has changed in the world!! Scary stuff but we are the ones to blame we still carry on with our greedy narcissistic arrogant mentality and expect something different, smh, we should all be ashamed of ourselves!!
@Rod-Skinner I did not realize I posted the same comment twice. You are being hard on yourself. I figured it was off the cuff video. If I were you, I would simply be happy that people are engaging on my video. I am sorry that I embarrassed you

Madness? How lovely! Like a winter wonderland it appears! Perhaps the Lord is beginning to send rain to your drought-striken lands?
