Right! This why we barely ever go into a store. Ha!
I remember those shopping days to Anchorage. My husband built two houses in Homer out of there. It was nothing to spend 2-3K on a trip. After the last house was built the trips became less 1-1.5K about every 3-4 months.
Between homeschooling, taking notes, and writing down ideas we use a lot of notebooks too. You can never have too many 😂. Our Lowe's do NOT have views like that. I don't know if those views would ever get old.
Having the mountains around you all the time is like a giant hug. When I’ve traveled out of state where there’s no mountains, it’s almost like there’s just a sense of anxiety. Something is definitely missing in my soul without the mountains. This is hone. 💕

Hey friend. For groceries mostly I buy things from Azure Standard in bulk and we do a lot of canning. I actually spend very little money on groceries each month outside of what we grow and process maybe $150 at most. we get most of our dairy products from the goats, including butter and cheese and milk. So the only groceries I ever really buy at Walmart are lettuce and salad makings when it’s not garden season. 😊💕

Hey friend, we were at M Bar D. We’re not set up to do round bales, unless they’re spent bales that we can use just for bedding. Square bales are so much easier to deal with for us. And point Mac add an extra hour and a half to her journey. Ha!! beautiful drive though. Be blessed and have a great week.

Nice! We actually don’t buy very many groceries. We grow and process a good portion of our food, and the rest I get from Azure Standard in bulk. The only thing I actually buy grocery wise is stuff for salads when it’s not garden season. I think our animals cost more in the food department than we do. Ha!

Avocados are so expensive!! And you know what’s worse, my phone is always reminding me of the avocados I can’t afford to have. Every time I try to voice text and use the word “has” it auto corrects to “Haas.” Thanks for your support though! Now we can go buy avocados. Guacamole tonight, baby!

Is the Metal siding/roofing cheaper at your metal place than Lowes? People food is way cheaper than dog food and snacks. Iam lucky, Aurora loves Gravy train, the cheapest dog food out there, I think, lol.
Ha! The metal from Magic Metal often comes out cheaper because they cut it to the inch and there’s no waste. I think it Lowe’s and Home Depot they only do eight or 12 foot sections so you’re always having to cut it and have wasted scraps. They have lots of really cool cutting tools too which we couldn’t find anywhere else. Can’t believe that bag of dogs necks was $40! That’s the first time we bought that one, but I knew I needed to get something extra special if Juniper was gonna let me cut her toenails. Ha!

I live in Pa, and back in the 70's, my son who was 10 at the time and I were going to move to Alaska. I contacted the powers that be at that time in Alaska and they told me that if I didn't have a guaranteed job and $30,000 in the bank to not even come because we wouldn't financially make it. I'm looking at the prices that your Walmart charges compared to mine, and yours is at least double. For example, the notebooks are 87cents here. I could send you a case for less than you paid for the red ones, lol.... Our price for gas is 367 and diesel is 4.67. It's just shocking to see the reality of things. I enjoy your videos so much, but you can have your prices, lol..... Thanks for taking us all along. Maybe someday I'll be able to get some time to visit. It's always been on my bucket list. Love you two.

I'm going to start raising chickens for freezer camp and off we go! I love to can, sometimes rebel and sometimes not, but it always tastes really good.

@@goatstead814 here’s the kicker…straw is the same price as hay! Right now we feed 12 goats and bed the chickens with hay. We were really blessed this winter and were given a trailer’s worth of hay. 😊💕
